The Corner Shop Cafe - Coffee shop in Sydney, Australia
Good for some quick coffee when passing through, but customer service could improve.
Came there today & was told I couldnt order takeaway, when I asked to dine in I was also refused with my 7yo. There were people dining outside & wasnt busy at all. The man who seems to be the owner made it very clear he did not want our business & Im confused as to why however in saying this we will never step foot here again.
Was looking at booking this venue for my partners birthday event. They were very polite considering I was going to be spending quite a bit of money here on food and drinks, however today at 10.30am my partner and 7 year old daughter came to get takeaway and was refused for no apparent reason as place was half empty, when asked if they could dine in they were also refused. Confused as to why the owner seemed abrupt and didnt want their business, they left. Very glad this happened as I will now be taking my business elsewhere. Dont bother replying "we have no record of you in our system" I couldnt care less for your response.Ps. Your place smells musty
This place is a personal favorite they are always coming out with new amazing specials that never fail and is a safe place for a coffee and lunch in my opinion
Decent food and coffee. Very quiet on weekends
This Cafe is really cute and coffee is decent. Brekkie burger was nice. However sourdough with butter and jam was not nice, I could not eat it. They need to toast sourdough more and maybe choose better jam. Also we got our food before our coffees. I think they forgot, because a few people who had ordered after us got theirs. And when we chased it up, they finally made it but with no apology for the wait. Would have given higher stars if customer service was better.
Long wait for take away coffee and coffee was average. Staff need to be trained on customer service. Without customers, you wouldnt have a job.I walked into the Cafe at the same time as a couple who dined in. I was only getting take away coffee. I ordered before the couple and to my surprise, they received their food and coffee before I ordered my take away coffee.
Wait wait wait wait wait and still no food or beverages. Argued when asked for refund. Wouldnt visit if youre hungry or thirsty.
Extremely disappointed 😞I entered the doors to purchase a coffee at 1:54pm and then approached by a girl and said we were closed and I said the sign says 2pm closed not 1:54pm,sorry were closed.Ive purchased many coffees at many other places 5 mins before the closer of there store and never be refused because you are they are a service to the people, the same cant be said for this store.
Friendly staff.Fast efficient and very tasty
Look forward to dining in again, but theyre doing a great job on the take aways and delivery. Breakfast burgers arrived hot and delicious, coffee well packaged.Edit: dined in today! Great, friendly service. Food just as delicious!
Hidden gem. I had eggs benny with avo and was amazing!
Great place for a cuppa n cake.. pet friendly
Wait time is crazy! One long black take away wait time is around 17-20 minutes. Long black tastes like hot water served at 100 deg centigrade. Save time and your tongue. Avoid.
Lovely little cafe. The Big Breakfast was epic and the Egg Benny was awesome too. Would certainly recommend.
Great little place, staff are lovely ,food is yummy..recommend the Turkish Eggs.
April 2022.What a loverly cafe. Bucketing down outside today, pleasant inside with room to relax. After ordering the meals arrived not long after. I had turkish eggs with bread bruschetta. Good sizes and the flavours were impressive, very delicious. Wont need dinner tonight. The wait staff were friendly and helpfull.
Sorry, no photos however it is a purpose built cafe. Nice and spacious. Does not accept Amex. I had avocado smash with poached eggs and bacon with freshly squeezed OJ. Plenty of parking in the complex.
Went here today 20th Feb 22 to try this place again having been 2 months ago…have to say total waste of time and money as previously similar attitude dont really want to be hereas encountered on previous visit when the girl who was at the counter and when she seated me ignored me for about 10 minutes until another staff member had the common sense to give us some menus. Woe betide you if you arrive for lunch at 1:15pm as you wont be served at a table and offered take away could say I was lucky as got there at 1:00pm today had French Toast which apart from the blue berries and a couple of strawberries was almost inedible the only good thing was the vanilla milk shake. Wouldn’t come here as the food is definitely not worth it and the customer service is not welcoming at all...
Love their burgers. Friendly and polite staff. Food is always great. Best coffee in Quakers Hill 👌
Great food, large portion and friendly staff. We ordered the Turkish Eggs and Bread Bruschetta. They were both scrumptious.
This cafe has a really nice vibe. The customer service is so good. A big tick for the lovely young lady Kim. She was so friendly and prompt, staff like her make me want to come back here again!
The food was amazing, I got the Turkish eggs and was blown away! However, the young floor staff were a bit rude and not attentive. Customer service is everything to me, so I probably won’t be back.
good coffee. enjoyed the cheeseburger. chips were crunchy and fluffy.a little dark inside near the kitchen
Went here a while ago… but won’t forget how rude the girl was at the counter and when she seated us ignored us for about 10 minutes until another staff member had the common sense to give us some menus. Wouldn’t come here as the food is definitely not worth it and the customer service is not welcoming at all,
Located at the corner of shopping plaza, this coastal themed cafe offers great coffee and food options. A bit pricy menu but totally worth it. Highly recommended.
Nice Cafe. Food was good, coffee was nice and smooth. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they engaged with my 3 year old when he was curious about what they were doing. Really great!
Lovely, ambient little cafe. The Turkish eggs were divine. Coffee a bit on the burnt side. Would come back to try other things on the menu.
Been there for the first time, family members recommended. Wow, very impressive, not only presentation but generous serves, so tasty and full of flavors.. will definitely be back and fully recommended to friends. Very helpful staff 👍🏽😋♥️
I do not go out for lunch expecting to be humiliated by obnoxious and aggressive cafe staff. I waited 15 minutes to receive a menu - when the place was quiet. The staff knew I was there because I asked about the ordering process when arriving. I had signed in using the CovidSafe app. When hunting down the menu that never came, I was told by the disgraceful staff, that they deliberately made me wait, because I didnt chase her to show that Id signed in. "You shouldve read the sign in the window," she hissed. The food did not redeem the overall appalling experience. I walked out with a bad taste in my mouth. After 2020 small businesses experienced challenges. This cafe seriously needs to rethink its customer service fundamentals - and stop hiring toxic know-it-all brats.
I come here whenever I need a good breakfast. Its always an absolute pleasure! All the food is to die for, cooked perfectly and the staff are always so lovely and friendly. Coffee is great, over my last few visits, Ive had the Berry compote, eggs Benny, smashed avo and the avocado brushetta. And my friends have had the French toast and the brekkie burgers. The Berry compote is really good! Definitely something great for a sweet tooth, and a great healthy alternative. You can never go wrong with a good eggs Benny, the smashed avo is absolutely to die for, but I always ask for extra goats cheese. Chances are you will love it too!The avocado bruchetta is good, I had it this morning! It has corn in it which is unusual, but still really lovely. I think they put a bit too much red onion on it and not enough tomatos, but in saying that Im really not a big fan of red onion. The brekkie burger is served on a lovely milk bun and although Ive never had it, everyone always seems to love it. And the French toast is presented beautifully and great for a sweet tooth! The décor is beautiful, and it has a lovely open feel to it.Well worth the five stars, its never too busy and Im so glad this café is here! Just down the road from home, and its my favourite breakfast place.
Food was excellent. I really enjoyed the Turkish eggs and the French toast was finely made. Really uplifting atmosphere and good service. Only problem is that the coffee grinder (or maybe it was the blender?was ridiculously loud. It was actually hurting my ears and I wasnt even sitting near the espresso bar. We had to stop conversation whenever it went off. Also, the main doors open straight out to the carpark and at one point I and my 3-year began to cough from fumes. Just unfortunate placement. But other than that, its a gem of a place and I will be coming back. Maybe Ill sit outside next time to avoid the grinder noise.
Good food and service but they close earlier than advertised time. On a Saturday they were supposed to close at 2pm. I called at 125pm asking what time the kitchen closed (having previously experienced the same issueand the staff told me "Its been quiet so the boss has asked us to close early".I have a restaurant myself. Unfortunately in the food game you dont have the luxury of closing early on a whim because its quiet without upsetting regular customers. And here I am, an upset regular customer. And this isnt the first time.
Nice cafe in the area! Good food with reasonable price!
The Brekkie Burger was amazing! Taste on point, presentation on point, decent coffee and reasonable pricing. Fantastic place! ❤️
Fresh clean looking cafe , friendly owner , very professional, Food looked absoultly amazing & was just as tasteful. Highly recommended.
First time coming here and my 5 stars goes to the service I received by a worker ( young girl with long purple nails . From the moment I walked in she greeted me with a smile and was very friendly . I just ordered a take away coffee and she spoke to me the whole time making it. Excellent customer service and will be back again :shop also has a really nice vibe .
Simple but nicely done cafe with a coastal theme. The coffee/latte was definitely to my liking, one of the best Ive had. Strawberry and lychee ice tea was really nice too as a summer cool drink. Food, Eggs Benedict and the Big breakfast were both perfectly cooked, well presented and delicious
Lovely atmosphere. Cafe well maintained and looks pretty and modern. Good friendly service. Good coffee and food. I ordered the Buddha bowl which was very healthy and satisfying.
There are some great brekky places around this area. For Quakers hill I think this is it. Good coffee, great staff, even better food. The Turkish eggs and eggs Benedict are both fabulous.
Loved my iced coffee and nutella burger! Dainty pastel interiors so I did a little photoshoot of my accessories there too. Staff are very warm and accommodating. Will definitely be back! ❤️
I am a tourist from the Philippines and I am delighted with my experience in this cafe because of their very friendly and warm customer service. I also liked the drink that I ordered which is Strawberry Milkshake because it is not not sweet but enough to tickle my taste buds. We also ordered Nutella burger which I also strongly recommend for the dessert because it was really good! The combination of nutella, vanilla ice cream, and freshly sliced fruits topped with buns was great plus the presentation was also cool!
Ample parking as it located near a good Car park. A nice place with a pleasent atmosphere. The staff member are friendly and helpful. The food menu has a decent variety, but its a not of the pricey side as the positions are small for the amount they charge.
An unexpected gem in the middle of nowhere. I just happened to be driving around trying to find a place to stop for coffee when I saw this tiny little tucked away surprise. The coffee was exceptional and served at the perfect temperature, which I will admit to being surprised at. The staff were lovely, the decor was appealing and I regret not having enough time to stay for lunch. Highly recommended.
Dog and kid friendly local cafe. Standard cafe prices. Didnt eat but just got coffees this visit. Smooth creamy cappuccinos. Friendly staff! Recommend for a lazy weekend meal. Sit in the sun if weather permits.
Finally a cafe around the corner from my house !! Been here to eat twice and lately been getting my coffee from here quite often. the food is beautiful, tasty, fresh etc. Some things are abit pricey for breakfast portion size didnt fill me up but it tasted amazing so totally worth it ! Im picky with coffee and the coffee is very nice too.. this is officially my favourite cafe & will be coming back for more :)
Came for breakfast this morning and was most impressed with the food, coffee and service. The truffle mushrooms on sourdough was amazing and the smashed avo was faultless. Coffee.....perfect. Most cafes these days leave me less than impressed with the execution of the dishes where it reads well on paper but is a total dissapointment when it hits the table, which is why I don’t like to eat out much anymore. What a lovely surprise to have top notch food in Quakers hill. Keep it up guys xx
Its great to have such an amazing brunch and coffee spot in Quakers Hill! The service here has always been excellent. The staff are really friendly go the extra mile to make you (and your canine companionfeel welcome. The food and coffee is delicious, well presented, and fairly priced.
Visited this Cafe for the first time today. I had quite a problem finding it since the big sign on their side wall still showing the name from (maybeprevious Cafe. The ambience is cool and elegant with white dominant colour. They have inside and outside seatings.I decided to order their French Toast coz I wanted something fresh and brunch-y. Very beautiful plating and the dish tasted fresh and delicious.
Finally, theres good coffee to be had in Quakers Hill. The Corner Shop Cafe delivers great coffee, cup after cup. In addition to the great coffee, the cafe delivers on the food front as well. I sampled the truffles mushrooms on toast with that perfume of the truffles combined with the earthy flavours of the baby brown mushrooms and perfectly poached eggs. The chicken burger is dominated by a chunky schnitzel with a golden crumbed outer and succulent breast of chicken. A refreshing slaw and a kicker of a honey mustard aioli completes a satisfying burger. Having already visited about a dozen times, service has always been warm and welcoming.
