Suddenly we missed our ferry to Horseshoe Bay, and stayed the night and thank the universe for that! Would have missed a wonderful karaoke and a rockstar Erin serving the whole bar solo, every table, the bar patrons and amazing service! Erin was wonderful and definitely deserving of all praise this friday night!

Had the worst experience right away at the entrance, as people started calling “you don’t belong here”. Was on Business Trip in Nanaimo, it made me think so different about the people here. Live music jam night on Sunday is fantastic! Everyone figuring out music together, rough and raw and real. Exactly what youd hope a small bar with local folks playing music they like (and USUALLY know!on a Sunday night would sound like.

fun night in this quirky venue after hours. Wasnt packed, full of interesting people, DJ was decent. Loved our server. Felt right at home right away even though we were out of towners

Comedy night was awesome! Some really good sets and all levels of comedians. Good service nice cozy atmoshpere.

I went there a couple of times. To me it feels like a really nice place to hang out with friends or family. Service is really nice and stuffs are really cordial.

Local beer on tap is always good. Tight in the heart of downtown perfect for starting your weekend evenings. Electronic tab system makes it easy to pay and the staff are motivated and friendly.

I didnt dislike this place,they were friendly service was quick.To small and noisy for my liking.

A fun night out. Good beers on tap, Tuesday is open jam, Wednesdays are karaoke, Im sure other stuff is happening. Its got its salt for sure but a welcoming vibe

Very small for a bar, and high-priced drinks IMO, with no option to buy pitchers of beer.Beyond these negativities, they have nice staff, and it is overall an enjoyable place. They often have very talented musicians here, which is the only reason I have ever paid $ to go here.

A bit of a dive bar but I really enjoy the ambience. The location is fun to people watch too :Fun karaoke nights and a great place to start your night out!!

Its not bad. The atmosphere is just a bit too "dive bar" for me.

First time there, Sunday Jazz was great, service was terrible, took forever to get drinks and never came back, next round I had to go to the bar. Blonde waitress walked by and looked at my empty glass twice, seemed more concerned about serving the tables of people she knew.The male bar tender finally asked us if we needed anything at that time we were done, too bad, made a great place disappointing.

The Corner lounge is one of those places you dont mind bringing a friend from out of town to, or to just pop down anytime to see whats happening. Clean atmosphere, professional staff, and a robust lineup of entertainment ranging from Jazz, singer/songwriter, rock, DJs and comedy.Good variety of drinks and just around the corner from most amenities, its a good chance youll have a good time at this unique little bar.

This place has the perfect mix of ambiance, drink selection, seating, and entertainment stage and the staff are always friendly and doing their best to make you happy.I have really enjoyed the open mic comedy nights.

A very quaint little tavern. Live music frequently was fun. Very friendly waiting staff. Got a lot of good advice about the sites around the area from the waitresses and folks who live there. Near the center of Naniamo, where a lot of things happen. Highly recommend this spot.

This is a great venue. The comedy shows are my favorite things to attend here.

Been in the bar/restaurant business for 20 years and THIS place was hands down the best place I have been in years! Kereoke was amazing .... staff even more amazing!

Stopped in on Canada Day for drinks and music. Waited half an hour for our drink orders to be taken. After 10 minutes we were informed they did not have the ingredients to make our drinks. Waited another 20 minutes to attempt to order something else. Upon doing so, they informed us again they didnt have the ingredients to make a completely different drink. In 2 hours only two drinks each made it to the table.My friends drink, a screwdriver in a short glass with little ice, either had no alcohol in it or definitely less than 1 oz. We all took a small taste to confirm that it just tasted like watery orange juice before he decided to return in. The bartender was rude to him and threatened to cut him off as she believe hed had too many. Mind you, at this point hed only had ONE DRINK because of the slow service.We dont see any need to return.Update: This happened between 2200 and 2345 hrs on Canada Day

So, I bus by this bar alot. I was looking in one day on the bus and saw the bartender shooting drinks. I refuse to walk into this bar. I dont feel comfortable with a bartender drinking. I wouldnt give this place any stars.

Intamit, friendly staff and decent music. Its a great place to stop in for a drink if youre not the clubbing type.

Nice place for a drink. I would prefer coming down here over going to many larger bars, or chain restaurants in the north end. Intimate location, seems like it would be a good place for live music.
