Locally sourced international dishes served in a spacious, homely pub with sofas and a roof terrace.
Its okay. We ordered an item shown on the google maps menu, and were told they no longer serve that, fair enough. We ordered another item, beef roast, and were charged upon ordering, before the food was brought. After having charged us, they told us they, in fact, do not have any beef. At this stage, we asked for the nut roast instead, a cheaper dish. After a fair wait, we got a chicken roast brought to our table instead. The chicken was serviceable, but not very good. Fries with shredded pork were also okay. There are probably better restaurants in the area.
Been here a couple of times for an easy lunch. Nice and relaxed... Staff are a bit cheeky so look forward to banter... Turned up late night on Friday 28th Oct and a mad Halloween party was going on - great music from the DJ, lots of fun.
Amazing pub friendly people and staff . All tv sports catered for . Didnt have any food but it looked lovely. Great selection of real ales .And great selection of wine , spirits .All in all a great afternoon out.
Fantastic pub with an amazing range of fine ales.
Nice pub. We didnt go upstairs. Just stopped for a drink on way back via the Long Walk. Was busy but sat on bar stools. Good choice of beers and drink and food looked nice
Good menu.Bit pricey but dont mind if its good.
Lovely pub. Good little roof terrace. Friendly staff :)
The new menu is great. We went for pizzas and they were just the perfect size and really tasty. Looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu.
Great pub, loads of different beers and stacks of other options. Food was great and came out quickly and loads of various sports TV in separate areas. Outside terrace and a pool table, at last a pub with one left. Really good pub, no parking as just out of city centre .
Had pizzas with my family.. very tasty and well made. The staff were friendly too.
First visit here, plenty of real ales and ciders, staff knew what they were talking about.I would have enjoyed a darker beer, a porter, stout or mild. Lots or pale ales available.
Popped in for a pizza and was not disappointed. Portions were huge and tasted great. Bar staff very friendly and helpful.we will be back
I went to the corner house and had a meal the staff bent over backwards and accommodated me for all of my needs great place friendly people 10 at 10
Such tasty pizzas, very quick service with a smile too! Lovely family dinner here, we would definitely recommend!
Nice pub, friendly bar staff, but the free pizza’s were not good! Unfortunately they all tasted of gas or fuel from the pizza oven! I’m sure the promotion was to try the oven out, but it wasn’t good.Nobody came to ask how the food was, we just got up and left. Probably wouldn’t eat there, just go for a drink.
We were invited to experience the new revamped pub... but besides the free pizza (meat feast was pretty tasty although probably not worth £14.50), we had hoped for more. Not much has changed besides there now being much less seating. First we were oferred a drink downstairs, the gin was great but the bar mats smelled of vomit. It was extremely hot and we were advised that upstairs had aircon (they didnt mention there were only standing tables and we were a family of 4 with a dinner reservationso the aircon was wasted as we werent keen to stand at a bar table to eat. We were keen to play ping-pong- their revamp offers a number of versions of ping-pong but unfortunately when we arrived we we told they are not set up. Having much experience in hospitality - I personally wouldnt have a big relaunch and invite patrons to experience the new revamped experience if it wasnt quite complete. First impressions last...rather delay the opening and make it impressive - that results in returning guests. This pub has much potential but to be honest, preferred it before the "revamp".
Really enjoyed the games, food and atmosphere. Good job on the overhaul into a games/sports bar
Always good fun to be had here. The staff are good and friendly, the beer selection is great (wide selection of great craft beers on tap), and the atmosphere is always lively. I end up here frequently on a Friday night and always have a good time. The patrons are also usually great. Im never short of somebody to chat with here.
Really disappointed to see the recent rebranding to a sports bar, rather than the lovely pub it was. Sports showing on every wall and the food has completely changed to sports bar food (pizza, burgers, hot dogsrather than the brilliant menu they had previously. This was one of our favourite places, and sad to say, we won’t be going back. That being said, if sports bar is your vibe, you will love the Corner. Great beer and cider selection.
This is a busy, traditional pub in the centre of Windsor. It is old but interesting. We met for a family reunion of 10 and were seated in a separate part away from the TV. The service was friendly and the food was hot and tasty. There is an upstairs area but we did not go there. The toilets were ok but could do with an overhaul and fresh paint. There is no parking on site but there are car parks within a short distance. The pub is close to The Long Walk at Windsor Great Park and we enjoyed walking along that after our meals.
Amazing and varied selection of beer on tap. Decent food. A really good up to date, yet traditional pub
WOW. What a roast. Pictures cannot do this masterpiece justice. The two of us couldnt finish it!Honestly each and every item on there tasted amazing, cannot recommend this enough. Lovely service, perfect location and really good value for money. Plus, the quality of the food was insanely good.
We hired the upstairs area for our wedding party. The team were absolutely fantastic, and we had a brilliant evening celebrating! This is a great venue with very friendly staff, would highly recommend.
Good pub off the main drag great choice of draught beers. Excellent staff
Went for the Sunday roast for 2 today! The meat , Yorkshire pudding, and gravy is absolutely amazing! Definitely worth to come and get this dish
Absolutely the best pub Sunday lunch I have had in years! Huge playfully of lamb and all the trimmings, perfectly cooked, piping hot and delicious. Great range of beers too! Highly recommend.
Good value for money, tasty food
Good experience overall
Okayish pub, bit rough around the edges. Staff quite nice. Food was just funny. 4th time lucky on the order. Bit like Fawlty Towers, lol
We booked out the upstairs room for a party and the team were super accommodating. We were able to have our own music, use the projector & screen, and the buffet we ordered would have fed double the number of guests! We had a great time, all thanks to the team.
We’ve always had a brilliant experience here. Great food, range of beers and attentive, knowledgeable staff. We had a great roast yesterday brilliantly cooked by chef Jack with excellent service from Joey and his team!
Booked for Sunday lunch. After a wait finally got our table (seemed short behind the bar). Got a round of drinks. Sat down and chose what we wanted. Went back to the bar to be told that Sunday roasts are off. Staff seemed nice, but either the kitchen or the front of house are a bit useless. Or both. Still ended up paying full whack, for drinks we didn’t finish as we left to head for a better meal elsewhere.
Absolutely stunning roast dinner, did not think I was going to leave a review but I wish I had taken a picture before devouring it.. Great range of beers and shout out to Joey, Jake and the team... including the kitchen.. We look forward to visiting you for the Monday 2-4-1 burger deal.. Cheers
Booked the corner house last minute as it had a 4 star rating but unfortunately we were disappointed. 4 plates out of 5 the food was tepid. Looked great and most was cooked fine, although the pork belly skin was not crispy but the meat was ok. One person in the group had a totally flat Yorkshire pudding and when we asked if it could be replaced the message back from the kitchen was no! When we were asked if the food was ok we did mention most of the dinners were tepid and the plates were cold etc but it was too late by then to rectify. It’s a shame because for a little bit more effort in the kitchen it could have been so much better. We were however not charged for two of the main courses because of this. The waitress who served us at the table was polite and tried to help as best she could.
Absolutely fantastic Sunday roast and amazing selection of beers. Definitely worth a visit. We had a nice table in a snug area where we could sit with the dogs and the pram without disturbing anyone.
Brilliant bar staff, who are enthusiastic and know their stuff. Food is also great value for money. Cosy, and relaxed atmosphere.Only comment to owners would be to keep the toilets cleaned as these let the place down a bit.
The best roast in Windsor by far, actually best roast I’ve possibly had ever!I regularly come to this pub for Sunday lunch but this weekend we came here for my partners birthday family meal and they were so accommodating and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more from them! This pub is so friendly and the staff are excellent. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to Jake and the team at The Corner Bar! We had a fantastic Christmas meal this week, very organised and pre-ordering was easy enough. There was a great atmosphere with the festive decorations and occasional Xmas song! Food was great and we’ll definitely book in again next year!
Came here with the family for Sunday roast. The craft beer/cidar selection was great. Everyone enjoyed their food and portion sizes were huge - what more can you ask for! This is probably the best pub weve visited in Windsor so far.
Amazing pub, lovely food, nice venue, great beer and excellent staff. What more to ask :)
After reading decent reviews for this pub, we arrived on Sunday for what we thought would be the best roast dinner in town. We can honestly say that this was the worst meal that we have all had in ages. The soup was supposed to be tomato and looked nothing like it or didnt taste like it. They then got the food wrong, because the table numbers had been messed around and a gang of youths were drinking on our table. The roasts were that tough that we couldnt even cut the veg with a knife and the meat was very fatty. There are so many lovely places in Windsor and we were taken in by this one but avoid at all cost.
2nd visit and very disappointed..1st visit was fantastic lovely hot roast .. this time both roast dinners were cold and had to be sent back, no taste .. had a free drink as an apology but to be honest when paying 16£ you get a draft coke for free! After our meal was warmed up slightly the middle was still lukewarm. Also left half of the meal.. very disappointed. Frozen vegetables too.. meat tasteless..
We ordered a meal from their biffs vegan burgers, and it was really poor. The burgers were awful, there was no cheese, and they came with literally 1 slice of lettuce and 1 slice of tomato with a really sorry looking patty. The sweet potato fries were the same, nothing at all like what was advertised in the pictures. We phoned up and complained about the quality of the food, which is quite pricey, and the guy working in the pub offered us a new meal. When it arrived more than an hour later, not only was the order wrong, but the burger and chips were the same in that they were missing topping and were far below what was advertised. Oh, they were also cold. I feel really sorry for the person working behind the bar because he was genuinely really nice and its not his fault that the kitchen is truly terrible.
Great bar, great beer, great team and great food...yes, its great!
A very welcoming and a cozy place any time of the day. The pub has independent bars and seating areas one the ground as well as the first floor. An open terrace for smokers is conveniently located outside the first floor seating area. They offer half price menu on Monday through Wednesday every week. Monday evening is the quiz night offering nice prizes and great fun.
Great venue! Food was quick and delicious, great variety of craft beers and gin. And an even better playlist to compliment the Vibes!
Great place to stop for lunch away from all the tourist traps by the Castle. They have a decent lunch menu and 1/2 off their regular menu Monday-Friday 12-5 pm. Fantastic selection of local beers. Well worth the short walk from the Castle.
Visited with friends on a Saturday evening. The pub has an old school, proper pub feel but is clean and welcoming. A very range of drinks and a sele tion of seating areas.Apparently a good live venue so likely will be back. Reccomnded.
Good food, Good variety of drinks. Friendly staff.
If your looking for an all round good pub, the corner bar ticks most boxes. Firstly it’s a really friendly and relaxed pub. The service is good and polite and the decor is casual, yet still cosy and inviting. The beer selection is pretty good and varied with plenty of ales, local and regional, as well as ciders and lagers. The food, while not amazing is pretty good if you’re just looking for hearty pub grub. Although te beef steak was particularly good as the meat was good quality and it was cooked just right. An added bonus are the friendly locals with their dogs, which seem to be regular pub-goers in their own right, adding a nice even friendlier vibe to the place.
