Do not come here. Theft from employees! Do not open a tab with your card. My wife and I ordered 6 drinks, they charged us twice for 16 drinks one total of $210, and a separate charge for $149, which was the only one I signed for. I would only bring cash. My wife got her phone stolen from the bar by a employee, We were able to track the person with google showing that this person left the bar at 3am, after the bar closed at 2am. Google phone tracker showed a timeline of where the phone had been, and the employee who stole the phone, left the bar and then went to Norms restaurant. We filed a police report. This has never happened at any other OC bar weve been to. !! Do not go here!!

I work helping security staff, they are no very professional at all, they costumer skills are very unfriendly, dont understand why people still coming in..hope owner takes a second to view this review, and improve his management crew..they need more training, treating customers and workers better.

the security by the name of vincent or vince was very rude. he disappeared from his work station for about 10-15 minutes after he saw me looking for a worker to mention what he did which was strange. i should of read some of the reviews before choosing to go here as a couple of them from within the past 6 months mention secretary was disrespectful.

Great bar if you single and like Hispanic women. Dress nice and you will have a great time

Discriminatory staff. LGBQT+ and allies please stay away.I was kicked out of the women’s bathroom by security for being transgender and forced to use the men’s bathroom. They told me “you’re a man. You have to use the men’s bathroom, you were born a man”. This is illegal discrimination (Cal Civ Code 51b). I told the Head of Security what happened and he told me that because my ID still says male I have to use the men’s bathroom. Thats not true - its illegal to demand a customer’s ID to determine their gender for the restroom (Cal Civ Code 51b). Don’t go, it’s an unwelcoming, discriminatory shi*hole.

Worst place ever. Take advantage of people. Got my wallet stolen and charged 900$ within two hours. 88$ on a taco stand. Then my wallet was returned by a security guard. Wonder who stole my wallet right?

Staff is beautiful. The security is disrespectful. Even if youre friendly with them. The music is loud. So loud that you can barely hear friends/acquaintances. Even if theyre yelling in your ear. Normal for I club, I guess. Its packed. To the point you can barely walk around. There use to be a DJ that talked over 100% of 100% of the songs. It was awful. Hadnt been back because of that in quite some time. But I recently went back for a friend, and theyve sense gotten rid of him. So... 👍🏻. The pours are... well.. under regulation. Especially with the female staff. They use 0.75oz. shot glasses, and dont fill them up to the top. So youre looking at like 65% of a shot on a good night, but charge on the upper end, as if they poured you a full one. The drinks/beer are over priced. Especially when you consider its an extremely light pour. And Im almost certain they use generic alcohol in their brand name bottles. Even as Im writing this review, I cant believe Im giving them 2*s! But if you drink before you go, dont mind the noise, and dont buy drinks while youre there, youll definitely have a good time. There is a cover charge.

Really bad experience, bartender demanded a Tip before I even finish the transaction she was about to hit me with a glass cup until security stopped her not sure what her name was she’s a short blonde hair . They need new staff security had to get in to defend me from the bartender .

Security actively tries to keep you from having a good time. They’re on their high horse. They wouldn’t even let us take pictures with the cool art they have inside . If I was the owner I would find a new security detail.

This place was tons of fun! My friends and I went this weekend and we all had so much fun! The bouncers were all sweet, and the bartenders were friendly. The seating was nice, it was a lot of bench seating, but I will say the space was a little underwhelming, they could definitely use a little bit of decor touch up. However that’s my only complaint! The music was great, the drinks were awesome (I loved the strawberry tart). This place is definitely a great place to visit if your in Santa Ana!!!

Great bar, nice venue underground. Cool lighting and interior. They have a good selection of beers on tap. Dark inside and its a good place to hang out on weekdays when less busy. On the weekends they are pretty crowded. Hipster alert though, I did see a good number of those guys.

This is a nice place I love how they have a wide vicinity so lots of real estate for people to walk around and it also looks like a nice place for somebody whos thinking business and wants to take the team out or I have a meeting at this type of establishment. Drinks are a little pricey

Place is cool they have Modelo tall cans but they need better beers on tap. Went on a Friday it was cool DJ was semi on point couldve been better but you get what you pay for.UpdateBe careful If you pay with a Credit or a Debit card because they will double charge you.

Today was one of my baddest day ever, this place sucks, I was just dancing with my husband and two of the "security" were homophobic and told us to stop dancing together, and please respect them, we did nothing... NOTHING!!!! They feel like they are the authority , they suck! We were just dancing and they even kicked us out of the place, police and security did NOTHING!!! Please we are in California we speak diversity we speak freedom!!! Never in my life Im coming back to this place, honestly just because they have Lough music you are not safe in there, RACIST and HOMOPHOBIC THATS WHAT YOU ARE!!!!

$4 drafts before 9pm :if youre coming on the weekend, get here early! the line, especially friday/saturday/holidays can get vicious. Also gentlemen, no sports logos allowed! That includes hats. if you drove there its fine cause you can leave it in your car but they will not allow ya girl to just put it in her purse so if youre ubering there, dont even bring it. No guys are allowed on the stage at anytime. Ladies are, and sometimes the DJs give out free shots for those ladies dancing on the stage. theyre 95% mixer but hey, its hot af in there, and its free. Theres a couple cool instagrammable photo props so if you, like myself feel the desperate need to prove you have a social life to strangers, those are fun. They also dont allow vapes, even though i see people sneak them in all the time.

I really enjoyed myself.I love the feel of the bar. My wife loved the the 2 picture wallsDJ ER was playing and had a nice selection and style.Drinks were overall good. Of course youll receive some strong and some ok. Happy hour could use a little bit more variety.Definitely coming back!!!

Came on a Sunday during a holiday weekend so not much people but it seems like a great venue.Staff was nice and drinks were great. I had the fresco fries and was completely sold. They were so delicious!I hope to come back during a more busy time because the music was great with lots of hip hop!

Fun bar with a large selection of craft beers to choose from. It usually gets pretty crowded and has a good atmosphere, especially on the weekends. Often live music as well. Only downside is that there is no hard alcohol.

Usually pricey but they have the longest happy hour that I know of, which means $3 off all drinks..Happy hour is Open to 10pm weekdays, Open to 9pm weekends..They have 10 to 15 beers on tap.. From Oregon to San Diego and beyond..I wil visit here whenever I am in OC...

cooper door fun depends on your mood. if you want to chill then get there early and its fine but it will get louder as the night progresses. if you want to party, get there late as you will be put to sleep if you get there too soon.

I attend regularly for the Big Draw and enjoy the live music. I just wish the food quality was better as well as the seating options because the booths fill up quick. I recommend getting food at the nearby 4th street market before heading here for drinks and company.

I have a thing for their pear cider. Its so addicting. Love drinks that dont taste alcoholic and are yummy!

Has everything you wanted for a bar/dance club, nothing more. Nothing exciting. Has billiard tables on the side. Long table in the middle for everybody.

This club is LIT Good music, good food, Drinks, pool tables. there is long lines though and severity guards not so uptight. My advice is to come around 8:30 - 9ish to beat the line

Taco stand inside. Fresh cocktails on tab. Decent beer. Pool tables $10 per hour. Only been here for happy hour; easy to imagine this place as dance hall with all the floor space

Very hip bar with a different theme every weeknight. Its more popular for the younger/hipster crowd. The music was pretty loud and difficult to have a conversation in. Pool tables are usually full. Basic cocktail/bar. Serves food as well.

Lowkey, great spot to have a beer with friends, shoot some pool, theres always great music playing from live bands to dj sets, sundays are my favorite. The Dj takes special requests all night long. Its a must try

I LOVE Copper Door! Every night is different and amazing in its own way from burlesque shows to packed reggae or rock shows to bottle service video DJ nights to low key Monday trivia nights and social art nights like The Big Draw (they cover their 30+ foot long table with butcher paper and hand out acrylics).Oh and props for finally getting full liquor and serving finger-licking good food!!Tips: Happy Hour for drinks is Mon-Fri from 5-7pm, $2 off drafts & $4 cocktails. Then the kitchen, Swine Addicts, has $1 Taco Tues & 2 for $1 Wing Wednesdays till 8. Sometimes theres all day food specials as well. And street parking is free after 8pm.

The best parking options is along Broadway or the parking structure adjacent from Chapter One on 3rd & Broadway.The music was great.The decor is dark, atmosphere was blah and wasnt much of a beer drinker. Located in downtown Santa Ana, this bar isnt easy to spot. I drove slowly up the street in search of guess what? A Copper Door! I found parking nearby (luckilyand decided to navigate on foot. Bless my good fortune, I spotted a few Yelpers and after an ID check, I was shown a set of stairs leading to what felt like nowhere. There is a bar down there, right? Youre not leading me to a secret basement?At the end of my descent and through a curtain, I entered a den. A man cave. A dim space. It felt as though I was burrowing through a hole or digging until I found something. It took my eyes a while to adjust to my surroundings. Where was I? I spotted a few pool tables, an oblong bar area to my right, a long wooden table, and someone finally yelled "Hey Suki!"The first impression had me a little mystified. Im not really a bar person but I can dig this. Im all about the strange and unusual and something about being underground, hard to find, and elusive was appealing. There really is a copper door but good luck finding it. Since it is underground, prepare yourself for a musky cedar odor. Acoustics are bad but there is an ambitious DJ who will try and spin some myriad of musical selections that you might end up liking after a round of beers. Muster up that energy for the dance floor that is supposedly in the works. Rumor has it owners Davin and Marta Gumm brought the property with a grandfathered beer license. I met a new friend from LA and we sampled their Fruli Strawberry Belgium Blond. Im not a fan of anything overwhelmingly sweet and I expected a sick strawberry syrupy beer but the flavor was refreshing and it resembled more of a sparkling strawberry beer. The strawberry flavor was subtle. I could easily drink another or two or three.While the selection of beer is vast, the bar unfortunately doesnt sell food. The back counter behind the bar is decorated with colorful mason jars and there youll find their assortment of beer nuts. We took advantage of the opportunity to sample the roasted peanuts, smoked almonds, wasabi, chili cornuts, and pistachios.The Copper Door located near Proof Bar (Ah ha! Secret location revealed!is definitely worth checking out if youre in the area. If youre looking for parking, I turned on 3rd street off of Broadway and parked near the structure but theres also a drugstore nearby. Not sure if they tow though. Good luck. Dont get lost once inside and enjoy the vibe.

Copper Door is a chill spot to enjoy a brew, play pool, catch a live performance or just hang out with some friends.

I loved it i went there just to have a couple drinks and leave early for work the next day, but ended up staying for several drinks and like 4 or 5 games of pool and the IPAs are awsome

Great place to chill and have a great beer with a beautiful ambiance and good music (blues/funk to enjoy now and forever). What a bar should be. Mad its under construction right now because I wanted to go tonight. :/
