Typical Victorian boozer with a pub grub menu and an upstairs room for live stand-up comedy.
Lovely pub hidden on the side streets, great atmosphere, very clean and reasonably priced food and beer for a pub in the West End! Best of all we got an excellent service from India who is the real star of this establishment!
We came to London from Sunday to Thursday, we went to The Comedy Club 4 nights in a row. We love that place, the adorable waitress made our nights, the 4 of us love her ! Next time were coming to London, well come here for sure !! If she reads this, she will understand: 2 Jack Daniels with coke, one Pinot Grigio and one pint of Guiness. See you soon !!!!!❤️❤️
The show was great and stuff helpful. I recommend!
Good beers and multiple bars. Can be busy at times due to theatres
Just drank in the bar. I didnt attend any comedy event. Nice selection of largers. Staff good. Atmosphere warm and they have a booth which is always grand to sit in.
Big portions and tasty, also the restaurant has a nice vibe; highly recommended!
Great comedy show on Mondays with top performers. Fantastic friendly staff and service. Wide range of beers and cocktails. Great stuff!
Awesome pub grub! Quick service and friendly staff!
Minimalist food without the quality. Fries were undercooked and soggy. A teaspoon of mushy peas the quantity of which was identical to the amount of tartar sauce. It really was poor.
Nice pub, very pleasant Landlady. Enjoyed our meals. Staff were polite too.
Came up to London to pay our respects to The Queen. London was very busy and we hadnt booked anywhere to eat, so we wandered around for a bit a poked our heads into the first pub looking place we came across. The pub was busy but we found a table in the corner and made ourselves at home. We got a round of drinks in which came in a fair bit cheaper than I thought it would for a central London pub. We had a fancy G&T, a large wine and a pint. We then went to town on the food. They had hallopn the menu....that was a super thing, the ladies on the table next to us had talked us into the meat platter and then for we ordered a scotch egg and some onion rings....unfortunately they had run out of scotch eggs so we ended up with a burger, so we had enough food for 4 between the 3 of us plus some onion rings. We like our food so this was no problem for us. Everything came out quickly and was lovely and hot. Everything I ate was delicious and the halloumi was amazing! The tables were a bit sticky but it was a busy day so well let them off. The staff were helpful and cheery. The loos nice and clean. Food came to around £60 and Im sure the round of drinks was under £20.Yum!
Good Monday night comedy, free entrance too.
Absolutely disgusting way to be treatedWent to this bar after being at only fools & horses sat down @ a table which had a reservation between 5.15 to 5.30 after speaking to to the waitress & it being 5.35 she took our food order 5 mins later the group that had the reservation turned up we were rudely spoken to then when we refused to leave we were treated like criminals and removed from the premises by a bouncer rather embarrassing when all we were looking forward to was our fish & chips with mushy peas & bread & butter
Stumbled upon this gem by accident.Lovely little pub, great atmosphere, great service - hopefully well be back for another visit soon 😊
Really old fashioned yet lively. Great selection of drinks
Lovely traditional pub serving good quality pints. Not expensive given its location and nicely tucked away from the crowds of picadilly despite only being a few steps away
Good service, average food - modern London pub.
What a fantastic pub... founded in a little street; I strongly recommend this place to everyone.
Good, but feels like theres as much intermissions as actual stand up performances
Really nice atmosphere although smelt like scampi fries. Toilets were very clean
Here for training course. Excellent venue. Very accommodating, staff take excellent care of you and food was amazing. Thank you
Excellent place, good selection of drinks and the comedy show was really enjoyable. Prices are expensive but probably inline with the general area.
Big pub tucked down a side street from Piccadilly/Leicester Square. Brilliant atmosphere for sport, service was excellent, very friendly.Very reasonable prices, would definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere to catch the game
Really friendly staff and good choice of food and drinks.
Its a very nice the staff are very great an helpful and great customer service as well,I would recommend and the food is awesome 👌 😋
Booked tickets for Stand Up Club as needed something to do on a Saturday in London, fantastic find, all acts were great and had a fab time. Would highly recommend.
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!Staff at this pub managed to spoil our long awaited evening to see Book of Mormon.Went to grab dinner before the show with assurance from the staff that it will be served on time.Half of our order was not taken. Incorrect food was served. We were not even offered full refund.Wasted our time. We ended up going hungry to the show
I recently approached Iain the General Manager about having a reunion for a cast from a show at the Prince of Wales Theatre, 40 years ago. Iain couldnt have been more helpful, showing me all around the pub and offering me a choice of two rooms, both free of charge .He also explained all the different buffet options. On the day, for various reasons our numbers were quite low and as it was a Monday afternoon and the pub wasnt too busy, Iain said that although the room was available, we were more than welcome to stay in the general bar. Which we did.The staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is very good and there is a terrific range of drinks including draught ales and cider....I particularly liked the Mango cider, quite sweet but absolutely delicious. It was extra special for me as I used to drink in this pub almost every night during the eighties and had my very first drink with my wife there.I highly recommend this pub right in the heart of the West End.
Good range of beers and food. Friendly service and good atmosphere. (Across the road from the Harold Pinter theatre.)
Went for a comedy evening. Helpful, friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. Comedy was good, held in an upstairs room, intimate gig of 30 people or so. Definitely recommend.4 stars as hubby was on crutches and the only way to the toilets and comedy room was upstairs-no lift, but it is an old building...
No complaints here!Had a lovely pint of Beavertown Neck Oil and shared a Scotch Egg, Sausage Roll and a bowl of Triple cooked chunky chips!Absolutely lovely! A little smile from the barmaid would have been nice, perhaps shed had a long day!
Warm and friendly bar with a good range of pump ales etc. Helpful staff. Card machine doesnt like contactless MasterCard for some reason!
Drinking in the comedy pub is like hanging out with your friends. Amazing staff and service.Kerry is you superstar there, always friendly and helpful, really the nice people around
We visited this pub on the 24th March, having booked a table for 8, paying a deposit of £20. When we arrived at the agreed time, 7pm, we were told they had no record of our booking and they were full due to the football! However Lauren the Manager took charge, calmly and efficiently and explained what had happened and sorted it out, we were meeting family, not having got to together for some time, so a special occasion. Lauren ensured it was. We were given a quiet table upstairs, a lovely waitress served us and we had a lovely evening. The Comedy Club should be very proud of Lauren and her team! A true Manager. Thank you.
Me and my family visit Leicester Square and popped in The Comedy pub for lunch.Lauren took such a great care of us with lovely recommendations and a beautiful vibe.Nice burgers and beer selection!Definitely recommend this place 🙏🏼
2nd time i have been to the improv night. Its never the same as before. Funniest thing ever, everyone their is constantly laughing at the show and therefore in a great mood. Fantastic friendly atmosphere. A good time had by all. Absolutely fantastic, cant recommend it highly enough and a bargain at 22 quid per ticket.
What a lovely pub!! Great atmosphere, lovely staff, great food and perfect service. Will definitely be back next time we are in London. Thanks guys!!
For a pub that is surrounded by theater and other tourist attractions, plus the occasional old style pub, I cannot fault the Comedy Pub.Decent selection of tap beers, ales and spirits, we enjoyed Havana club and Punk from the tap.Staff were engaging and friendly n fun. Friends have enjoyed the sports on TV hereToilets relatively clean, considering the public access!
Really good night. Lots of interaction with the audience (dont sit near the front as you may get picked on:-D Was a bit disappointed that Jasper Cromwell-Jones wasnt performing but that could have been due to the weather - he was the comedian I really wanted to see but on the whole, a great night as all the comedians were good. Will definitely return.
I love the vibe in this pub! Shelby and Lauren are so welcoming and friendly. The drinking glasses are extremely clean and sparkly. I even asked if they polished them 🥰 and the chicken strips are to die for 😋
Decent pub, good for having a few drinks before attending the numerous theatres around it! Didnt get a chance to try the food but from what I saw looked quite yummy!Limited seating space so had to stand so would be cautious about visiting during extremely peak times!
A great welcome and wonderful selection of drinks. The manager very chatty and full of local knowledge, lovely place to take time out and have a relaxing beer or two. Didn’t eat on this occasion but will certainly be back.
The comedy on Mondays and the drop in Acting class are two great reasons to come to this lovely venue. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the pub does food in the evening to support the many events that run here.Only a minutes walk from Picadilly station.
Fantastic! Got tickets last minute and what a great evening we had....Dane Baptist e, Finn Taylor and Chris McCausland all brilliant.....but the star was the MC Tom Webb who was hilarious and kept the gobby ones in check!
Amazing place to watch sport, or just enjoy drink with friends. It doesnt look big, when you walk in, but theres another two floors. Sports bar on 1st floor, where you can really enjoy the atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Didnt need to wait for our food for very long and it was delicious. Great bar
Looks luke a pipular place. We had great conversations with the local patrons. The food looked great! They lost our order, but we had to rush to the theater. Glad I had my glucose tabs.
Found this pub by chance. Nice selection of beers, food served quick after our food order. We found it delicious too. Large TVs every where. Worth coming back for a match or two.
Very friendly staff £15 a bottle of prosecco on fizzy Friday- we called in on Friday lunchtime- live sports on TVS- gin specials available great location in the west end of London- the staff went the extra mile excellent- toilets are down stairs lovely and clean
This is a nice pub that has a relaxed and chatty atmosphere.Drinks are a little expensive but there is a decent selection of beers and other drinks. There is a fair amount of seating and the sports screens can be seen from anywhere.
Great little pub we popped into after seeing Book of Mormon. Tucked away location with a good vibe.
