The Colombian Coffee Company, Borough Market, 8 Southwark St, London SE1 1TL, Jurado
Eco-conscious source for lattes, cappuccinos & cold brews roasted from single-origin beans.
Great place to get a decent Coffee, we didnt have to wait very long and it was reasonably priced!
One of the best coffees Ive ever had.
The Colombian Coffee Company has been a constant staple in my London experience — one that has both started and ended my days on good notes. Not only are the workers always meeting me with a smile, but the coffee never seems to disappoint.
Had a terrible customer experience on Sunday 9th of October. After queuing up for nearly 10 min was told when reaching the till that the stall was closed. Please note that there was no written notice advising customers that the stall was closed. When explained the situation to the staff and that no payment was required because I had a loyalty card no explanation was given and that I could write whatever I wanted in the reviews . On my side I can only say that you can keep the loyalty card and that I’m no planning on coming back again
One of the best lattes you’d ever have in your life
Best coffee in town very nice staff thank you
Great coffee! It tasted very authentic! I also loved that they offer decaf! The staff was very friendly! Would definitely get my coffee from there whenever I am at the market!
So today I went out of my way to go to the Borough Market stand and order a Barriquito. Have had these here before, usually made quite well, delicious, small cup espresso, condensed milk, steamed milk, topped with cinnamon and lemon peel, lemon is meant to give you a zesty taste from the start, condensed milk for sweetness and nice froth for a silk texture.Today, I had to leave the drink and walk away, maybe I was expected to be a tourist and have never had one before. I was specifically asked when I ordered if I knew what it was, I did, I’d gone there and only there in the market, and in between my trains so I could get one. Today I was served a completely different version, in an espresso cup and am given it at first with no cinnamon or lemon peel; I have to ask for it so thank goodness I do actually ‘know what this is’. I tell them this is served completely different from how I normally have it, and have had it at their coffee stand. I take a sip, and it tastes like skim milk watered down espresso shot, no condensed milk, no lemon flavour, no room to stir anything either, nothing. I try to explain to them there’s no condensed milk and this is completely different from how it was before, and I’m told I’m wrong and I ordered a large before - no, you only have one size on our menu, this is meant to have condensed milk in it and this doesn’t, the response is ‘yes’ I’m trying to explain to them how to make their own drink, and I get answers of confusion or I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m told they could remake it but I ask if theyll remake it the same way and they will. I just left it, I’d paid for it but I couldn’t explain any further how they make their own drink normally and how it should actually be made, not in an espresso cup. Consistency is key but then I guess the goal is not to have regulars and just assume everyone is a tourist that doesn’t know what the drink is. Three stars because I guess it’s hit and miss on what you’ll get here.
The owner/main barista was very rude while we were ordering. He mocked our order and made us feel uncomfortable/unwelcomed. He served latte art on one customer and not on ours. We could care less but seemed immature and passive aggressive. The coffee tasted as horrible as the service. Over roasted beans/burnt brew. 0/10. Do not recommend.
Great oat flat white.
Such friendly and knowledgeable baristas!! My go-to coffee in London.
❗CAUTION ❗Best Coffee in London ❗As a coffee fanatic I am absolutely blown away 💥☕ This is truly a joy in the morning. Such a great quality 5 STARS
Great Cappucino, not a fan of Barraquito, but I bet its great for what it was. Prepare to queue up in the morning, coffee stands get busy quite fast, gee I wonder why.
Fast, affordable, delicious coffee. 5 stars!
You will like the hot chocolate if you like cinnamon, which unfortunately I’m not. It was a little too sweet for my liking as I prefer my hot chocolate to be rich like those from Whittard of Chelsea Covent Garden Tea Bar 🙈
My favourite coffee in the world! So good I went back twice in one visit!
Someone gifted me a packet of ground Caturra Timor and all I can say is WOW its absolutely gorgeous, a lovely present and rather special coffee which will taste even better when made for me professionally. Im currently a bit far from Borough Market to pop in but will definitely add the shop to my agenda when im next up there.
Wonderfull hot chocolate and really spicy mocha! I asked them if i can take a video of latte art and they were super polite and happy to chat about different patterns!
Fabulous Cappuccino, interesting hot chocolate.Would suggest the hot chocolate isnt make quite so sickly sweet but other than that, would recommend.
Some of the best coffee in the city! Strong taste made with love.
Got one of the best flat whites Ive had in London from this coffee stand, better than any of the coffee shops Ive tried in the local area for sure. Combine with the bread ahead stall nearby and thank me later.
Best coffee ive have in a while!
Lovely coffee spot at the Borough market. There was no queue when we visited on a Saturday afternoon (maybe due to rainy weather). The coffee was prepared with great care and tasted amazing! Will definitely return!
The coffee is amazing good!
While travelling is at the stop (ok, restrictionBorough Market never fails to give you a boost and experiences of food a day drinks that we can appreciate and tell others too!A little but magic coffee place, but I worth to queue for.I am not a coffee concierge but it was wonderful to taste something unique and the way I was able to describe it was gentle and smooth.Flat white was my choice, but cant wait to try other options.
Had a delicious flavoursome decaffe Americano for £3.30. Will return!
Coffee itself was very good but I really dont appeeciate being spoken to like a child whilst fixing my mask and being accused of trying to drink the coffee in the borough market zone. I appeeciate the concern but a lid I didnt ask for being forced into my hand without having a chance to explain was quite rude. All in all I understand were in stressful times but treating paying customers with understanding wouldnt go a miss. This goes only to the lady serving the coffee. Probably wont be returning in a hurry. My friend and I were quite shocked by the reaction and felt it very much an over reaction
Went on a Borough Market late and was not planning on getting a hot choc, but the cold made it impossible -- and no regrets whatsoever! They have a sign put up Cosmic Colombian Cacao (The most amazing hot chocolate EVER!) and anyone having read it would expect it to live up to its claim, wont you? Well it did live up to my expectations, a lovely cup of cocoa with a tinge of cherry, really one of the best cocoa Ive had! Sad to say, they only sell their coffee packs and not cocoa, else I would have gotten a pack.
Idk why but the oat latte we got tasted sour... and there was not much sugar left at the stand. Maybe we just got unlucky but unfortunately didn’t enjoy that coffee.
Service at Borough market was terrible, happy to take money and then tell people to join a 30 min queue
good quality coffee with a great option of different coffees
Absolutely Amazing coffee. Brilliant taste and nice customer service too. Highly recommend.
Quaint, off the beaten-track coffee place. Offering some traditional Colombian coffee-making techniques — including a very good hot chocolate!
Coffee was fine. Staff didnt know nothing about it! shame
Delicious Colombian coffee!!
Great coffee. Amazing gluten free cake. And they roast the heir own beans. Wonderful.
Eduardo is a very nice man who took the time to take me on a journey into Columbian coffee and share his passion for bringing peace to his home country. Thank-you
The perfect coffee shop with the best variety of beans and everything in the place is so authentic and the staff are really friendly.
One of South Londons finest gems.. So authentic with a great selection of coffee. This place is a huge winner when it comes to coffee and the customer service is 10/10. Always support small businesses you very rearly get this kind of coffee love in franchises.
Cool little coffee spot at the Borough Market. I ordered the cappuccino and it turned out very good. The barista was very nice and made sure it everything was good before I left.
Friendly and uniquely tasty
An awesome coffee experience that rises above the surroundings - theres a lot of great coffee south of London Bridge, but these guys nail not only the fundamentals, but the bits of flair too. Try the barraquito - you wont find it anywhere else around here, and while the liquor is missing, that makes it an even better way to start your morning. To top it off, the staff are friendly and love to talk coffee (among other things)!
Coffee is undeniably excellent. I had a hiccup with ordering some, but the owner was extremely helpful and kindly sent me a gift afterwards. Please support this small business as it is really authentic and wonderful.
This place is amazingly good, the incredible quality of the coffee mixed with the aged Colombian traditions such as the "olleta" and the "panela" to add sweetness to the coffee are all the perfect combination. There was a beautiful "paisa" offering a great, warm customer service with a massive smile!!.The place is accessible, near Borough Station and with off street parking available, just remember it is located within the congestion charge area.I wouldnt be sure if this was a good place to bring your kids as there were not many options for them.I think the place would benefit from introducing some Colombian bites like "empanadas" to spice up things a bit.Overall great place!!!
This is by far one of the best coffee experiences in my life, in any country Ive been to. Will be definitely coming back every time Im in London. Just go there and see for yourself. The care and precision they put in each cup of coffee is simply outstanding. Fell in love with this place as much as they do love coffee beans. Could not be better!
The best coffee I had in London, hands down. Cold brew is incredible.Think of it this way: English people know tea, but Colombians know their coffee.
Was casually passing by their roastery, and got myself a cup of coffee, didnt know what to get so I followed their suggestion, and my! Gooooood coffee!I walked out of the roastery with my cup of coffee and after just few sips, decided that I have got to return and got myself a bag of beans. Its that good! And accidentally met the owner of the shop as well, Ill definitely come back and try more.
The most delicious coffee, Colombian coffee, in the best coffeehouse of London.
Coffee was great. Good barista and good service.
Had a wonderful coffee there yesterday. Very pleasant service too.
