The Coachhouse & Olde Bar - Irish pub in Muineachan, Ireland
The food and service were excellent. Whilst the atmosphere was good it was very busy and very noisy so not good for having a chat over dinner. This didnt spoil our evening as we took coffees outside and chatted there.
Had Sunday Roast it was very nice.Called to book before hand.Sat outside, patio heaters kept the chill off.Good service.Inside seating , but was very busy as sport was on.Restaurant available, booking recommended for this preference though.
Lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating. Food was very good. However as a group who had pre ordered our meal, we had to wait too long for our meal to arrive. Maybe short staffed.? Will return and hope its improved.
The two seater tables where small, they could do with less clutter (drinks menus ect).Starter was amazingMain course we found the mushy peas had a sweet taste, the beef and ale pie was a little dry and salty. Fish wasnt haddock as far as we could tell.We will give it another go..
Busy bar, sat outside with the dog. Sauvignon blanc was warm and not nice, had to take back and buy a more expensive for taste.
Went for Fish n Chips and it was absolutely vile. The fish was obviously frozen and lacked any kind of taste, the staff were running about like headless chickens and all in all an experience I hope to forget quickly, I wont be returning.
Visited coach house today to watch the arsenal, Tottenham game, young lady behind the bar was brilliant, her name was Katlynn (hope I spelled it rightshe was super efficient and so cheerful, thank you and I will be back.
2nd visit in a month. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere, good value for money. Lovely, generous prawn cocktail, beautiful slow cooked beef, chose mash instead of chips. Food hot, fresh and tasty. Only tiny tiny criticism was the hard egg on the asparagus starter would be better soft and runny (tricky to do). Will definitely be back, thank youSo today 1/10/22 we decided to try breakfast. Another 5 stars given. Tasty, quality, hot generous portions. Excellent service, couldn’t fault it. Definitely our new go to place!
Excellent service from the booking right through to the waitresses and quality of food. Could not fault anything thank you for a quality night
Went here on Sunday for a meal had the roast beef as i was eating it the texture of the beef seemed slimey but i ate it anyway. That night I got terrible pains in my stomach which followed on the next day followed by diarrhea. The pains in my stomach lasted until Monday night. Could still taste the meat in my mouth.Never Again do I go to the Coach House In Humberston for a meal.Sorry Guys but that meat was off you poisoned me full stop.
First time visit, not what we were expecting, booked table for a meal, when entering you are bombarded with around 20 TV screens showing football, maybe rename it as a sports bar, staff were friendly but wanted your drinks order before you were even seated, ordered ribeye steak from the specials list, not the best for £30, suppose to melt in the mouth but was mainly fibrous, did let the staff know, dont think re visit will be on the cards, lot more better places for a far better meal in town
Lots of menu items unavailable. Some staff friendly but confused, others expert at avoiding customers and work. Nice food though!
Great spot for a beer and bar food.Clean, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Always enjoy a visit. Recommended.
Nice venue, nice staff, nice food
Hello i loved it here my bbq rib was really splendid and me and my family come alot! :)
The restaurant has a nice ambience and a decent sized menu with vegan options. The bar has a different menu, but again, vegan options are available. The bar is very much sports themed, with countless televisions showing various sporting events, which isnt to everyones taste.A service charge is added to your bill, but staff explain this and do point out it is optional and shared amongst both kitchen and waiting staff. On our last visit we found the food to be excellent, priced about right, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
We use the Coach House regularly, mainly in the Sports Bar. Usually for breakfast, at least twice a week.We came this morning, 27th August at 11.45 and were told you had stopped serving breakfast. The young man went to ask and came back and said, were no longer serving breakfast. He was very polite and apologetic. It says on your menus you stop serving breakfast at 12 noon. It also says it on a poster at the entrance. We went to the Grosvener and they served us. No problem.
Very poor service. We asked 4 waiters if we could order food. They said they would send someone over. We waited 1.5 hrs for someone to come over to take our order. It took so long We didnt feel like ordering so we left dissapointed.
The first time weve been to the Coach House and we loved it. The food was beautiful and the staff were very friendly.
Some friends recommended this restaurant. It was so delicious. I will come back
Really friendly staff and lovely, fresh food. We often eat here for Sunday lunch with my elderly mother who can be hard to please, but she thoroughly enjoys the roasts here. I recommend the slow cooked pork belly, but all the meats are extremely good. Slight gripes are the parking - never able to park in the car park which isnt ideal when you have a disabled passenger. Also, there doesnt seem to be a disabled toilet in the restaurant - again, a bit of an inconvenience (scuse the pun!Overall, a very good, family friendly restaurant.
Had fish and chips and sat outside on what was a beautiful sunny evening. It felt like I was abroad. And food was gorgeous.
I have given 2 stars for the friendly and attentive staff, it would have been 1 star for the food alone. My luxury burger meal was dreadful. A cheeseburger and fries from Macdonakds would have been tastier and certainly far better value.
Friendly, helpful staff and good quality fish and chips. Can also recommend the breakfasts as well. Enjoyable experience
Good drinks selection on the bar.Varied choice on the food menu.Friendly staff.Lovely outdoor area.Dog friendly outside, would recommend.
We had an enjoyable evening with great main courses. My pork T bone steak was great. What a letdown for the dessert. £7 for a dried up almond pudding. It really spoiled an enjoyable meal.We complained when we got the bill and although the waitress made all the right apologies nothing was done. Will have to think again before going back.Barry
The service was a bit abrupt and we found it strange that they bring you the bill to the table and say can you pay for the food now, before the food arrives. I don’t know if they have a problem with theft here but this doesn’t normally happen at a sit down meal and felt a bit awkward. They could improve by asking the customer how the food is or if they need anything else. On the positive side the food was nice.
Just had a wonderful three course meal in the restaurant tonight, to end a wonderful day for our birthday. The food was amazing, all staff were fantastic and smiling which is a very rare sight nowadays. Can not recommend enough.
Excellent food, great staff and ambiance in the restaurant.
Had a lovely meal in the garden area, good friendly service and they bought a bowl of water for my dog Maddie which is always a good start.
Took visiting family here and had great food. My only criticism being it was hard talking to each other as we were sat under one of the speakers playing music.
Lovey to go somewhere with an extensive gluten-free menu. Im celiac and its such a refreshing change to be offered dishes like crispy battered sweet and sour chicken and caramel apple pie amongst many others. They made a point of saying they keep special friers for the gluten-free too. Very impressed. I will be back 😁
Four of us went for Sunday dinner, meals were plentiful and very tasty, service very good considering it was very busy and staff very polite.
Ordered from the Specials menu went for the Wagyu burger. The burger itself was ok - could of been any kind of beef in the burger, couldn’t taste any difference. What was different was the lack of attention to the meal. No side salad, no coleslaw just a burger with cheese and tomato on a plate with some fries for £15!!!!!I know Wagyu beef is expensive but there’s no need to scrimp on the presentation.Finding the Coachhouse food very hit and miss lately This was a poor dining experience. Think it’s time to find another eaterie.
Popped in for dinner on Sunday evening. They had just stopped serving so sat at the bar with a beer. Ask what time the close as the guy was bleaching the bar infront of me. Asked him to stop as the smell was overpowering, they said they close when everyone is gone.. Couldnt finish my drink due to the bleach smell. Used to be a decent place to drink. Obviously not now.
We have NEVER had a bad meal at The Coach House. Delicious food and excellent service. I would recommend it (and have doneto anyone. They have a lovely restaurant, a sports bar and also a fab outdoor eating area. Our go to place for years. X
Brilliant cooked breakfasts. Lovely choice of how you have your eggs. Fried, scrambled or poached. Really nice sausages. Staff lovely friendly and helpful.
The friendly and helpful staff at the ‘Coachy’ squeezed us in for a sumptuous roast beef dinner and I couldn’t have been more pleased.Great place you have there, thanks 🙏🏼
Excellent food here. Service was faultless. Lovely people. We started in the bar which was absolutely buzzing. Had our meal and rejoined in the other bar to a Coldplay tribute act. Fantastic night. Great food and great drinks and great service.Recommend here definitely. Cant wait to revisit.
The food is great and the staff are polite . I go in the sports bar side of the pub and not the restaurant side. The atmosphere is good and the food is not too pricey.
They managed to fit us in without a booking but I would say it is better to book before arriving as I think we were just lucky. There were gluten free options on the menu. My daughter and I both had gluten free fish and chips which was amazing. Quite large portions and not too badly priced.Would definitely go back if were in the area again.
We booked to meet up and enjoy the Christmas Fayre menu. The food was excellent and the service very good. Sadly the establishment are not responsible for their clientele and we were seated next to a very loud table of four, one member of which did not mince her words. It did spoil the overall experience as we could not hear ourselves talk. Highly recommend the food though.
Food was lovely, staff were great.. Highly recommend 👍
Food was excellent but couldnt get anyones attention for more drinks or desert. Would be helpful to order through an app or go up to the bar to order. Food was excellent though!
Great meal delivered to my door tonight from the coach house , great value , generous portions and very very tasty. Ordering process very easy , delivered as arranged by very friendly guy , would highly recommend
4 adults, we all had a starter and a main. We all cleared our plates. Starters were large. Food tasted great. Served by several staff who were all kind and helpful.
Ive been 3 times so far in 3 weeks and Im booked to go again tomorrow. Excellent service I prefer the Restaurant to Jax but thats because the atmosphere is a little quieter and less busy. The food is great me and my partner usually share the steak platter which is £55 which I highly recommend, its always cooked to however I ask, I cant complain. Last thursday since me and my friends got a steak meal we had the choice of a free bottle of red, white or rose with any 2 steaks purchased which was a nice surprise.
Perfect from start to finish. Staff are amazing and super attentive, great at dealing with food intolerances. Best meal I have had in a very long time. Booked to go again in a couple of weeks
Second best fish and chips in Cleethorpes behind Papas (honestly). Fish was amazing, chips were not quite chippie standard but still good. Only criticism is their tartare sauce is watery, and not very good. Curry sauce is excellent though
Beautiful meal here with husband, son, daughter in-law and granddaughter. 2 of us had the steak pie,2 had roast beef and 1 had roast chicken. All agreed absolutely delicious. Service was very good as was the setting for the meal. Will definitely go again.
