The Coach Makers Arms - Gastropub in Groningen, Suriname
Incredibly slow service and mediocre over priced food when it finally arrived. They were obviously struggling to cope with 3 tables but continued to take in more tables and the service got worse and worse. Sauces for steaks turned up after the steaks had been eaten!
Lovely place for a drink and bites. Delicious scotch egg!
Lovely pint. Lots of choice. Not to busy early evening. Great service..a London pub that remembers your round for you! All in all worth a visit. Typical London prices, but choice is wider than average.
Really good food and friendly service albeit a little slow.
Stopped in for a pint. Great service.
Beautiful pubs with bright views and a broad cocktail and Beer selection.
Popped in for a beer and a quick snack, excellent scotch egg and sausage roll
We were looking forward to a beautiful Sunday lunch, unfortunately it was average at best. The beef was chewy rather than succulent and certainly not worth what they charge.
I had a lovely time. The food was great and the service was excellent.
Rubbish pub. Arrived at the bar. No roast dinner downstairs. When I opened up open table, I could book at 8.00pm. Upstairs fully booked before even asking. Guinness off. Only some snacks available downstairs. Ratings reflect the NO we can’t accommodate that. When we ordered downstairs, ‘oh we are out of that’. Don’t waste your time. Terrible establishment.
Fantastic venue, great food available and wide range of drinks to suit all.Highly recommended.
Just what the Dr ordered very friendly service got a table outside perfect end to the day
Really smart little pub. Nice beer range and good amount of spirits etc. Nice crowd too.No air-con so was a little warm mid-afternoon.We only popped in for a quick drink but restaurant looked good. Not sure if upstairs was cooler than the bar- hopefully so.
Lovely London pub. Pricy!
Fantastic fish and chips, great service.
6 stars. Best beer selection in Marylebone. Great IPAs in rotation. Great staff. Great spot. Love it here!
£32.04 for one small pie, a modest pile of mash and some gravy, plus half a pint of bitter, all ordered at the bar but with a £4.05 service charge nonetheless.
I met Jeremy Clarkson and his son in here which was nice, unfortunately the bar lady seemed to have her fingers down the front of her trousers much of the evening between serving drinks. Not ideal for hygiene but it was a good evening none the less.
Good range of beers (many of which are new style IPA products).Busy on a Friday evening after work.Big plus: no loud music drowning conversation.Very very “decorated” pub with sadly little original interior remaining. But, at least not a stripped fake pine type blonde furniture.
Had a wonderful pint (or threeof Guinness. Great atmosphere, busy and the bar team were brilliant
Gets very busy very quickly. Nice decor but would be have more outside space. Its crammed in like on a tube at rush hour.
Nice pub, lovely atmosphere, good range of beers and wines. Food is good too.
We went for a roast dinner tonight earlier today. The staff were friendly but a little slow and not that attentive. 15% service charge was really excessive and totally unnecessary. Food was ok, maybe 3.5/5.
Fantastic lunch. Loved my glass of wine (roussanne/chardonnayand lamb pie! Flaky crust, tender meat, and savory sauce. The staff was extremely friendly. Very nice atmosphere - I was there on business so ate at the bar. Will definitely go back next time Im in London!
Great food in the restaurant. Excellent choice of beers on sale. Staff in the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Not a cheap night out but not a cheap part of London
A black women, a part of our working group was accused of peeing on the floor in the toilets and asked to leave. The lady was sober and had no reason to cause a problem. I really question why she was identified and asked to leave, even though her attitude and values were sound and a sensible and no different to the rest of the team.
Spotlessly clean. Great choice of ales and fraught beers. Lovely vibe , cool street just off the high street
Lovely pub, lovely people, v tasty and interesting bar food menu (fab devilled eggs). Great little find.
Four of us stopped here on Saturday April 9th for lunch and some drinks. The service was excellent and we were met with a smile and helpful comment from three separate members of staff. Also the food was great. Id have no hesitation in recommending this pub.
+ve: Lovely eating room. Good attentive service.-ve: Uninspiring menu; Value for money (For example,Baked Cod fillet £30 with extra for sides); My recommendation would to only eat when seeking traditional Sunday Lunch - and then i think it would be very good. the rest of the time, there is far better on offer in the neighbourhood.
very nice experience! good food, good drinks and good value for money. Wish we had a better table, as it was in the corner, so it was hard to move around
The team was extremely helpful and accommodating. Supportive of all our request and very proactive in helping us to come up with some quick solutions to make the event run smoothly. The quality of the canapes was excellent. An extra special thank you to Andrei who really was instrumental in making the event run smoothly. I would highly recommend as an affordable but special venue for an event
For 10 years this has been my No. 1 destination for a Sunday Roast Beef. Absolute gem of a place! Highly recommended!
Cozy pub in Marylebone with a great craft beer and decent wine list. It’s a very unique pub that’s almost a bar/restaurant.
Enjoyed, a lot…had Sunday lunch here (upstairs diningbookended with some pretty and post drinks in the more informal pub, ground floor.Service was wonderfully attentive without being intrusive.Food was excellent, well cooked and presented. Personally I could have taken the beef slightly more rare but the quality was wonderful so didn’t detract from anything at all. Will return.
It was a very quiet day at the restaurant but we were very happy - it felt like a private dining experience. The staff were really good and attentive and the food was excellent from start to finish. We will definitely be coming again.
Lovely proper & traditional pub which we only discovered as its part of an online quiz / treasure hunt app... Great staff, excellent beer and lovely homemade crisps! If wed had longer I would have sampled the rather great looking good menu...
Absolutely loved holding our engagement party in the 72 cocktail lounge. A beautiful private space that all our guests commented on. The staff were so friendly and made the event stress free and fun. Having our own private bar was exceptional and I couldnt fault anything. Food was perfect for the occasion and I would highly recommend hosting an event here!
Good pub with outdoor seating in a great location. The service was quite fast even though it was fully crowded . I can’t complain about the drinks but unfortunately, truffle fries don’t live up to the expectations.
Such a lovely pub with plenty of outdoor seating and wonderful service. Drinks and food alike were perfect. Highly recommend the bread and cassava chips!
We love this place and pleased to return post lockdown but prices have gone up and portion sizes have gone down. Great food but need to lay on more to be quality pub food. Great service but and looking forward to returning
Great place with a nice cozy vibe, good food and good wine to.Staff are helpful really like this pub😊🍷
Our meal here was through a TravelZoo voucher, but will definitely be coming back after our experience. The food is delicious and very well presented. Staff are friendly and the general vibe of the place is very warm, in a great location.
A very relaxing place with great food, I had fish and chip and my wife had the chicken. Very good. Also excellent service
This Pub incl restaurant gets 5 out of 5 stars. The food was great, very tasty and worth the money. Out server was friendly and asked after some minutes, if everything is fine and if we need anything else. Out beer tock longer than expected and out server informed us pro-activley about the reason, the beer came some minutes later fresh from the tap.
Gorgeous pub with a lovely atmosphere and great staff who enjoy being here. Good beer and by the looks of it, great food (I wasnt eating). Not far from Oxford Street if you need to be saved from shopping. This pub is certainly worth a visit or two.
Popped in here on a warm summers evening. The bar was bustling with the after work crowd after having a drink in the bar we made our way upstairs to the dining room. Very swish!I had the special lamb burger and my partner had the trout salad. Fresh, quality and with a lovely balance of flavours. If you’re in the West End it’s definitely worth seeking out The Coachmaker’s Arms
Cosy and casual sums it up nicely. Good cocktails, price was reasonable. Disappointed there werent any vegan options but happy the service staff and kitchen accommodated my request to alter some dishes. I enjoyed a lentil and sweet potato salad with broccoli and hummus-flatbread combo. Sounds basic but the lentils were beyond amazing - so this gets a solid 4 stars for that reason! Service was also good, very efficient.
So... hate is a strong word. Nonetheless google gives no alternatives to hate.I didnt hate this restaurant/pub however I by no means liked this "establishment". The drinks (half a pint of Guinnessvery much great "bobs your uncle" cant complain.. the food (face palm, accidentally punches eye and shakes headI ordered the P-something or other leaf tiger prawns steamed rice lime and green sauce. My trustee partner (played it safeordered tomato soup (rolls eyesand dauphinois potato. The wait was ridiculously long and the result was less then we expected.I tried my prawns (poop included plus the mushy tailand was upset instantly I had no rice despite the promise of (my favourite carbrice. I didnt enjoy my food in fact.. I promptly requested they take it back and bring me fish and chips (stick to what you know).Feedback on fish and chips to follow maybe.. depending on my twitching eye.
Delightful place! We showed up around 17:30 and there was no space on the ground floor and the downstairs was booked. As we were looking around a very friendly waitress asked if she could help and she found out she could open the upstairs for us.A very helpful gentleman brought us upstairs and being the first guests upstairs we snagged the table by the fireplace! The place was a little cold and the waiter instantly found out whether something could be done about it and they turned on the heating.A friendly place with an okay tap selection and reasonable prices(for Marylebone!)We didnt have food at this point, but will be back again as we feel that in summertime the upper floor will be very pleasant.
