The Co-op Natural Foods - Natural Foods Shop in Sioux Falls, United States
A while ago I would have easily given the coop 5 stars. When I seen they were going to expand I was very excited, ever since they expanded it’s gone downhill, they take out the best coffee bar to put in sushi, you know what not everyone likes sushi!!!! No one in this town makes espresso with organic milk, they were the only ones!! They have gotten rid of so many items that I use, it’s hardly worth my time to go there anymore. Between pomegranate and natural grocers I can usually get everything I need and most at a cheaper price. The GM and grocery manager do nothing to help if you email the store. It’s sad and very disappointing, I’ve been shopping at the coop since it was on S Duluth Ave. then the fire happened. I have never received the so called money back from being a member either.
This food is God’s own feast. Period.
Nice to have a market that offers healthier brands, plant based alternatives, and organic produce.
Organic food, clean environment, great customer service
We stop here anytime we need groceries in Sioux falls
Being a member of the Co-op is a genuine treat and luxury. Its bright, clean, and friendly. If you need a dose of feel-good cheer, stop in there. We like to shop here after school for snacks and healthy, quick meals.
First time today decided to stop and check it out was extremely impressed with the selection of products they have produce was top notch everything there seem to be very good quality ended up having some sushi was very good better than Hy-Vee or any other grocery store in town Ill definitely be going back very clean store very friendly staff if I could give 10 Stars I would
A superb addition to the Sioux Falls community! Their Co-Op values and unique ownership structure are evident in the great attitudes of the staff, as well as their excellent variety of sourced organic and other farms. I respect their policy of utilizing cardboard boxes for purchases rather than plastic bags!
Typical low end co-op, might as well be Whole Foods. This place is lined wall-to-wall with garbage. No ingredient labels at all on their hot bar items, or their smoothie selection. Their grab and go items are mostly littered with junk like unspecified “spices,” “seasoning,” and wine/champagne-based ingredients. Their grab and go sandwiches don’t even fully specify the ingredients - listing things like “bread” and “mayonnaise” as individual ingredients. Dressing selection is straight out of an average grocery store: a shelf full of soy-polluted garbage, with bottles designed to mimic dressings that are actually good. The cashews in their top-feed dispenser section were salted with regular salt - not even sea salt. It’s this kind of non-attention to detail that makes it quite obvious that this co-op is a carelessly designed cash grab, targeting the same fools who shop at Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. Get real.
The hot food for sale is absolutely delicious and some is sold by weight so you can buy just the amount you want. The selection on the shelves is broad, including household goods like laundry soap, aromatherapy, etc. and I found some local cheddar as good as anything imported that I can buy in the other grocery stores. The fresh baked croissants are super layered and flakey. Really tasty.
Large assortment of fresh foods. The coffee beans smell amazing. Little pricey, but great location. Vegan friendly. Also have a huge variety of meats.
This place makes me so happy. It is perfect. Who ever chooses their inventory knows whats up.
I love shopping here when I am in town. Produce is so fresh and their fresh made selection is amazing.
Always great for healthy and local. Also a great option for good quick meals from the kitchen
I love this place. Used to work at Kokua Market in Honolulu and it reminds me of that. I’m picky when it comes to food and they offer a lot of brands that I prefer. People need to become more educated on how broken our food system is. For example, why is Bill Gates the biggest farmer in America? Thanks for being a part of the solution in supporting local and organic, etc. Good food is an essential part of living a good life. God bless.
Hidden gem of a store in Sioux Falls! I have a long list of food allergies and there are several options I have found in the store. It is smaller than most grocery stores, it’s a similar size to Trader Joe’s. They have great specials and I love their soups!! As for the staff, I’ve always encountered very nice people. Removed one star because the pricing of some items is $1-2 more than other stores in the area. I still shop for the unique items I can’t get elsewhere. Definitely try the deli area. I’ve never brought anything home I didn’t love. Their chili is hands down my favorite ever!!
Super choice of healthy food. Very eco friendly. We would come again.
Great place for wide range of organic foods, excellent deli, custom kombucha and healthy smoothies. Convenient location close to downtown. Cash back on future purchases for member/owners.
super chill, laidback, accessible spot to get your health on. one of the most slept on lunch spots in the city.
Nice selection and reasonable pricing for good quality food. Wish we had one like it in Our area
A bit expensive but food at the deli is excellent. Love shopping here, produce always fresh.
Great place to find gluten free and vegan food. Usually has some good deals, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
I am a business visitor not infrequently and like much about Sioux Falls. Love this coop. Essentials. Pretty cheery interesting. I am nearly 40 years with a Philly coop. Thank you and see you again soon
A wonderful community coop with a wide range of healthy products and a delightful staff. Their home delivery service is fantastic. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and very friendly! Grateful Sioux Falls has such an awesome Coop Food market!!
Changing my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Had a tuna wrap a few weeks back that wasnt very good. Also ordered a turkey bacon avocado on GF bread, but they forgot the turkey, and I didnt notice until I got home--when spending a little over $19 for a cookie, coffee and sandwich I would expect it to be worth it... Still a good place for dairy free and gluten free groceries, but sadly I dont think I will get kitchen food from here anymore.
I like to sit down in the lounge area and drink coffee, good vibe here. The staff are friendly, and the store carries a wide variety of products. The bi-weekly sales flyer is always worth a look also.
Been a member here for a couple of years, I think, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I enjoy swinging through always!
Staff is always amazing! Great selection of natural products and great prices on all.
Have never been here until recently.Very nice natural food store!I will be going there again. If youve never been there, its worth checking out! They also just got in a new line of soy/palm wax candles and they smell sooo beautiful! Love them! ⭐
My favorite grocer anywhere. After the remodel they have a kitchen and doubled their size. Very clean, well lit, and the staff is friendly like Hy Vee used to be
"things are like weirdly cheap here" said willyi got hugs from old friends twice here.twicetwo diff peoplewow its my favorite
This entire store is incredible! If I lived in Sioux Falls I would shop here all the time. Im from Brookings and will be making this a must stop place for every time we visit.Extensive selections of organic, vegetable-based, fresh, and otherwise very high quality foods, from local producers whenever possible. If you are looking for healthy, beautiful, local food, look no further than the Sioux Falls Food Co-op!!Had to include a picture of these tomatoes. They were out of control! GORGEOUS!
I absolutely love this store! I went ahead and bought a coco milk container that wasnt past date, but kinda bloated...!!<3 well they were happy to make it right and to trade it in..Bf said not to drink cause bloating ***
Its a great store in the first time I was in there. Had pretty much everything I wanted but the prices were pretty high. Maybe that is just south dakota? But Im sure I paid 25% more for a lot of the items I got. But they did have some things that most grocery stores dont have. Id shop there again. And I like that they use paper bags instead of plastic. People there are real friendly too.
Morning coffee. Hot bar lunch. Weekly groceries. I have never had bad service here. I love that it is in central Sioux Falls! Since they expanded their selections are so much more extensive for weekly shopping.
Beautiful store, great deli with tasty and nutritious daily meal specials, great selection of produce, staples and beverages.I enjoyed safely eating in their outside patio.
Good selection of local and organic fruits and vegetables, great breads. Grains, rice and coffee packaging free so you can pack yourself, lunch counter, very friendly employees.
This place is fantastic! I was just driving through town and hoping for a place that sells single cans of La Croix. They had them and besides that, its a great store! Clean, well presented, and very friendly and helpful staff. If I lived in Sioux Falls I would join and this would be my go-to market.
The SF Food Co Op is a small grocery store located in Central Sioux Falls. There are several aspects of this store I really like. I can get in and out very quickly. The prices are very close to what you pay at larger stores. In fact, if youre a price savvy person, there are plenty of items that are actually cheaper than what you pay elsewhere, and a few hard to find items. The hot food is interesting to try, is flavorful, fresh, etc. A great lunch alternative to sitting in the McDonalds drive thru for a half hour of your life. If you want 8 cases of Mountain Dew and 5 gallon tubs of Cheetos, this isnt your store. I myself dont pledge allegiance to any one particular store, I look for the value and unique offerings that each grocer does well at, and theres certainly plenty to enjoy about the SFCoop.
We were so impressed with the food bar and prepared foods. We have a pretty limited diet (soy, wheat, diary etc freeand and I felt like there was actually options and everything was DELICIOUS! The staff was so very nice and it is very clean. Will be returning there for all our meals during our stay in SF.
Recently remodeled, expanded, looks good. Great place to find natural foods. Fresh produce. Good resource for ground corn flour that is basis for good cornbread.
My daughter lives in SF and she marveled at the newly expanded store and deli. An amazing amount of food offerings. We also had lunch which was delicious (pot roast w/cheddar sandwich)!!
I have gone here for the last few years. I have always been treated with respect. Even when I go there in my pajamas and my hair and ponytail. If I needed something that I cannot find, they look it up through their computers and help me find where its located or tell me that theyre out and when its going to come in. Theyre always nice and friendly.
I love this place! They have all sorts of natural, organic, and local products to look through. I like stopping in and seeing whats new and trying something Ive never tried before. Employees are very friendly, and produce always looks nice and fresh. They have a lot of options in the bulk bins, and I believe you can bring your own containers in to fill, just make sure you have them tare your container first so they dont charge you for container weight.
What a wonderful place to discover so close to our AirBnb! They have an excellent selection of health foods, fresh produce, gluten free and vegan options, and all the kombucha you could want. Friendly service and clean environment. Highly recommend!
Looking for a bunch of healthy food for a bunch of driving next couple days all around eastern South Dakota and this place was PERFECT! Loaded up with a bunch of fresh, organic goods and hot the road! Great place. Nice healthy selection of groceries.
I found the best peanut butter here! Its freshly ground up, and tastes amazing! They also have a wide selection of herbs and spices! Friendly and helpful staff as well. Definitely coming back!
Always an excellent selection from fairly well trained staff.Pros- lots of ORGANIC options, excellent regular sale ifems, great variety, small store, cooked food is nice, good frozen selection,Cons- fresh produce can be too high often times. Not real keen on being a member since they dropped the 5% off deal.
They have the best selection of food! I love that they sell food from local farmers and restaurants!
