I would like to know how anyone rated this place less than a 5. Unreal food. Amazing service. This will keep me coming back to Grand Rapids

Steak was excellent and cooked perfectly. Service was outstanding. Acoustic treatment in the room could be a little better to quiet down the ambient noise. Will go back again!

Eating at the chophouse is definitely an experience. The servers do a great job of presenting the food and making sure The customer is taken care of. We came and celebrated my son-in-law‘s birthday and tried a little of everything. The house salad and Caesar salad were both good. The fillet was extremely tender and the salmon was good. My daughter got the chicken dish which she really liked as well. The asparagus was OK and we really liked the macaroni and cheese, the cream corn, and the brussels sprouts. I also love that their cheesy popovers are gluten-free. There are a variety of food items on their gluten-free menu for those looking for a good gluten-free restaurant. They even have the flourless chocolate cake for dessert.

The Chop House Grand Rapids does NOT disappoint! Our server was Thom. He was amazing and so attentive. Everything from the presentation of every dish to the way the servers (we had a party of 6placed your plates on the table, all in sequence.

Chop house never disappoints. Their service is impeccable. Make sure you take the walk across the street to experience first class 5 star dining.

Idk where to start, first of all we where running 15 min late & they had no problem with it, took us in right away & got us seated. The hostess was very nice, our server Mariah was fantastic! Me & my wife where here for our 3rd anniversary & everything far exceeded our expectations, love how they keep you water topped off constantly, seams like small thing but having empty cup is a downer so keeping it full is huge in my book. The 11 Oz filet was AMAZING! the cream corn was to die for, they even personalized our cheesecake as u can see in the photo, we where very impressed!! This place is pricey but worth the money, not an everyday visit for us but we will be back when wanting to celebrate special occasions!!

The server Noelle did a very amazing job tonight, she was very kind and professional, the food was fantastic, I had a steak and it was one of the best steaks I have had in awhile, come to find out I know the guy that cooked the steak, his name is Clayton, very amazing job, the dessert was also fantasticI recommend the chop house 10/10

Best meal my husband and I have ever had. Our server nick was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Every staff member I encountered was polite and friendly. The food is other worldly, the wagyu melts in your both and can be cut with a fork. The filet mignon was to die for and I recommend the au poivre style our serve recommended. Everything was amazing and absolutely worth every penny, I cannot wait to come back here and celebrate more anniversaries with my husband. This place is a real gem.

Excellent atmosphere. The staff provides a classy and superior experience. The presentation was phenomenal! The steak was the most succlent piece of meat Ive ever had. While the prices are high, it matches the ambiance and food quality you receive.

I love chophouse the cheesecake is an absolute must save room for it.Update: Weve been several times now and Ive never been disappointed. The steak is amazing as always and they added waygu.

Good, but space for improvement. Food was nice, but on that level an water without ice, should be an water without ice, nit to try to have less ice out of the pitcher!Atmosphere is great.

My wife and I decided to go to her favorite restaurant. The food was amazing! Our server Grayson was really great as well. The room we were seated in was a little too dark for our liking and Grayson found a lamp somewhere to try and make it better. The lamp was pretty useless but I did appreciate the effort. The portions are generous and the food was worth every penny.

Very pricey, but the steaks are what I feel to be the best in Grand Rapids. Very good side dishes as well. Top notch service. Beautiful decor.

The food is to die for! The service is immaculate!! If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. The hosts are the sweetest. The waitress I had was phenomenal. She gave her opinions when asked and she did not disappoint. The price is expensive but sometimes you have to treat yourself! I had the calamari, brussel sprouts, asparagus, salmon and the chocolate dessert. Im drilling thinking about it all. I cannot wait to go back!! I live out of state so this will be a treat whenever I go back for work meetings!

I got the cowboy steak and my fiance got the filet and it was, for both of us, the best steak we have ever had, and I dont say that lightly. I wish I lived closer to this place because I would definitely be back to visit. It can be pricey but I think it is definitely worth it! The service was also great, servers were very attentive and i never even got close to running out of water!

Food was good but it felt kind of crammed in. Sat in between 2 different parties that were talking and laughing very loudly. Might have had a better experience if I had reserved a table instead of walking in. But for my first time there, it was a pretty good experience

Love this place, came here to celebrate a birthday. The service is great and quick. They don’t hover over you. Steaks are done just right. Asparagus is very favorable and great tasting. It is a place to make memories.

Jameson took PERFECT care of us for our dinner at The Chop House. We enjoyed calamari for our appetizer and lobster and a Caesar salad for our dinner, along with a lovely bottle of Orin Swift wine…. Truly - 5 star FRIENDLY, warm/caring service and five star food…. we cannot wait to return and greet our wonderful Jameson, once again.

Incredible atmosphere and an amazingly attentive staff. Food was impeccable as were the drinks. Grayson, our waiter for the night, was on top of his game, present for our every need. He even went as far as to talk with the pastry chef about why her and I were there for dinner and they personalized the dessert to make the occasion even more special for my significant others birthday. Both of us were beyond pleased and we will definitely be returning.

The service was impeccable, the wine list was very extensive, and the food was good, but not great. There were only seafood appetizers, and my husband doesnt eat seafood so he didnt get a first course. I had lobster bisque. It had a nice flavor, but there were only two tiny chunks of lobster. The lamb chops were flavorful, but luke warm as if theyd sat under a heat lamp a bit too long. The beef wellington had one part that was tough and hard to chew. We had bread pudding for dessert. It was very good. For that price point and quality of service, I would expect near perfect food.The best part was the rolls...I could have eaten 10 of them.

I took my wife to Chop House last week, we were both very impressed. The servers were very finely trained and attentive. The food was amazing. We both tried the finest cut Japanese Wagyu steaks for the first time. They were as good as I had heard. The perfect ambience for a romantic date night.

My husband and I, recently visited the Chop House, for my birthday and our anniversary celebration! We were fortunate enough to get a last minute reservation. We arrived early for cocktails before the celebratory dinner. Our duo bartenders and waiter, Nicholas, as well as all of the staff, we came across, went above and beyond to make my husband and I, enjoy our evening to the fullest! Both of us were extremely happy with our service, drinks and food and thanful for our wonderful evening. We WILL be back!

This is one of the best steakhouses in the country. The experience here is something that rivals how royalty must feel at every meal. Everything is cooked to perfection and the staff is just incredible. Ive been to many steakhouses around the world and The Chop House is in my top 5.

The food was amazing! Our waiter Nicolas was top notch. He was on top of everything. If a manager reads this he deserves a raise he is that good!

Excellent service, excellent staff, excellent drinks, food... good but not great.I chose the Wagyu and it was overcooked and had a poor, sad appearance. It was smaller than any of the portions Ive seen in other reviews and posts on social media. They let the marbling do the talking on this cut, the texture stood out more than the flavor which was unimpressive. My wife got the dry-aged strip and it was very undercooked. The aging brings the flavor to a new level and it was fantastic. While I know this isnt the case, it felt like they put both steaks on the same grill for the same amount of time despite one being less than an inch thick while the other was well over an inch and a half. The sprouts and mushrooms were unremarkable and overpriced. We arent the type of folks to return a meal, especially at a place like this where you trust them to get it right the first time. Thats on us, if we return we will be sure to take advantage of the excellent service to correct any issues.For $350 we expected better, and we have experienced better many times at Chophouse in the past. This was our most expensive trip to date and by far the worst. Probably wont be back unless its for business. If I return Ill be sticking with the lamb chops, which Ive always ordered. I thought Id branch out and choose "the best" this time, but was disappointed.

Enjoyed fantastic Oysters and a great Steak. Cocktail ( Negroniwas good but compared to everything else it could take a little bit more love to prepare. Very friendly and attentive staff. Will certainly come back here.

They dont serve good food here...they deliver a great experience with food that will make you cry a little. From interactive reservation system to interactive menu so you know exactly what you are getting - ChopHouse is the type of high-end fine dining that truly impresses. The staff was tremendous and that ribeye...those scallops...like I said...I almost cried. Definitely not cheap but worth every penny.

The food is consistent and the staff is great. Just don’t let them sit you in the wine cellar.

Absolutely exceptional experience! This was my first time here but I am looking forward to going back. First, come prepared to spend as things are served a la carte. The lamb chops were precisely cooked and amazing! The mashed potatoes were delicious as well, while the asparagus were pretty good. Service would top tier and made me feel like family. All around, great experience that I recommend to any and everyone.

Great food and the service is beyond compare! I had the lamb chops and they were absolutely amazing. They were cooked to perfection. The au gratin potatoes are the BEST!! This has to be the some of the best food in Grand Rapids and one of the best dining experiences I have had.

Four of us were in town for a work conference, and this restaurant was recommended by a local business. It was described as, "an old school steakhouse that does everything perfectly." I couldnt describe it any better!We were quickly seated thanks to reservations. Staff were very outgoing, friendly, and helpful without being stuffy or pretentious. Our menus were on tablets which was an interesting twist I hadnt seen anywhere before.The Beef Wellington was spot-on perfect although the demiglaze was slightly over seasoned. My colleagues enjoyed the Crabcakes, Pork Chops, and Lamb Chops and there wasnt a complaint to be heard.The sides are served family-style, and the Macaroni and Cheese was THE best of the four we tried. Mashed Potatoes, Potatoes au Gratin, and Grilled Asparagus were all well presented, but not nearly as memorable as those creamy, cheesy noodles.I over indulged with Creme Brule and do NOT regret it one bit!!I drank water, had the Welly, 1 side, and the dessert. With tax and WELL-deserved tip, I paid $100.

Fantastic food and the service was SO good. Everyone that served us was incredibly nice and made the whole experience so much better. And on top of that, the environment of the restaurant was beautiful and the food was definitely high quality and worth every penny. I’ll be recommending this place to all my friends and family in GR and definitely coming back again!

My husband had the Australian Wagyu ribeye, baked potato and French onion soup. I had the African lobster tail, shrimp cocktail, au gratin potatoes, chocolate martini and Kentucky Moscow mule. Everything was delicious. The gluten free rolls were the best!!!! I wish prices were lower. That’s the only reason why I gave it 4 stars. Total cost was $265. It was our anniversary too so I wish there was a complimentary dessert to share instead of the “happy anniversary “ written in chocolate. The service was really good and the restaurant was beautiful inside. The waiter did explain how the cows who gave their life to make wagyu beef are massaged and they play nice relaxing music to them…then they kill them 😢 That made me sad.

Amazing food, impeccable service. I had the Wellington and my husband had the salmon. Delicious. I highly recommend the Spanish coffee, lit tableside, and the cookies and creme cheesecake, which has a creme brulee on top! Really good.

My husband and I come here every year for his birthday. You get 50% off of your meal less the alcohol. The food, service, ambiance, and drinks are amazing! You really cant go wrong!

Finally made it to the Chop House in Grand Rapids. The steak was delicious! We tried the lobster bisque, very memorable but my favorite was definitely the gnocchi with King crab. Also enjoyed the Brazilian cheese bread offering, as well as the Maine lobster tempura with vegetables. Saved room for dessert (thanks to to-go box for leftover dinner). Chocolate explosion was not too rich or sweet. Delicious! We were seated downstairs, which I really loved. Cant wait to return!

This place is okay. You can eat a steak here, and they will cook it properly, and it will taste good. They will serve it to you with one carrot and a small amount of greens, and then they will sell you an overly marked up macrobrew beer, common bottle of wine, or basic cocktail. in short their drink list is not great, and the pricing on their drink list is borderline bad. If they improved this, I would improve my review. Compare their drink list to other high end restaurants such as Reserve, which have much better drink menus in terms of both quality and price. I will say that the scallops are a great deal here, the Beef Wellington is just okay, and so are the ribeyes and filets are good. Ultimately, you end up spending more than you need to, mostly because of drinks.

The service, quality of food, ambiance, and location make this a required stop on anyones list. Their wait staff is highly trained to recommend the best wine for your preferences and meal choice. The food is sublime. It may be pricey, but it is worth EVERY PENNY.Pro dutch tip: you get half off if its your birthday.

10 stars. Holy f*** this place is amazing. Best food Ive ever had in my life hands down!!! At one point I said to my date that the food was so good it made me love him more. He agreed! Lol. The cigar lounge was a perfect end to a beautiful evening. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great date night or celebration.

Allow me to just summarize this fantastic establishment. Absolutely wonderful. Best steakhouse I have been to yet. The staff is professional )overkill if you ask me and ultra polite. I get it its the environment, our waiter was great. He could of been more human and I would have been still impressed. I know though that there are people in this world who would think it wasnt good enough. Trust me it was too much for my liking. The steak was delicious and very well prepared. This restaurant went above and beyond to know why were dining there thar night and even made a cake especially for us even whe they dont do that type of dessert. A must visit and I hope you do enjoy it such as we did.

Outstanding! Went for my birthday finally as I never get to because Im usually traveling for it. Thankfully it worked out this year- its too good of a deal to miss! Everything was near perfect and the only reason I give it a four (and really 4.5 because the last time I went it was actually perfect & why I wanted to return so badlyis because I did have to send the steak back because it came out overcooked. And while the scallops are incredible, sadly the shrimp is actually a big miss- I wouldnt order them and wouldnt recommend them. They are under seasoned, overcooked and become dried out on the grill. If they were basted or even finished with the table butter, they would be perfect- the lemon they are served with just isnt enough. But having said that, everything else was so good that I wont miss the shrimp in the future. The popovers alone are to die for! Service and management (took GREAT care of us to correct the misstepswas also wonderful- cant wait to go back. Great birthday dinner for sure!

First time here visiting here,This place was fitting for a great meal after the hectic holidays.We started out and ordered the French Onion Soup and Salad (Grilled Hearts of Romaine with applewood smoked bacon.Then for sharing of AccompanimentsWe picked Cheddar Au Gratin Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, and Baked Three Cheese Macaroni with Roasted Poblano Peppers.These were spot on delicious we nibbled on a few of these, very filling and in order to have room for the main course we took these home.For Entrees we both chose the Chefs Special of the night, a 11 ounce Filet Mignon with Goat Cheese with Peppercorns with a Demi-Glace. Medium plus was the temp. It was mentioned by or Server (Jordanthat theyunder cook the meat here, and to order one above what you would normally pick.The timing between the each course was perfect and attention to detail from beginning to end was great. (Jordanwas spot on and great through the whole dinner experience.Once our entrees arrived they were hot and as described, flawless start to finish each bite was perfect the filet was tender and juicy. Little effort was needed to cut the pieces off. To finish off the night we ordered the Creme Brulee Cheesecake Of the Day. todays selection was with a oreo crust,This was a spot on delicious and a must have was rich and flavorful. Once done with dinner there is a cigar lounge in the lower level of the restaurant which u can choose from hand rolled cigars and gourmet desserts.However we walked by the steps leading to this section but we were running late and could not indulge in this area.Next time will we do this.I would recommend this place hands down, this needs to be on your bucket list of places to enjoy a great dinner and pleasing atmosphere which make a night out here complete.
