The Choice - American restaurant in Gadsden, United States
I travelled through Alabama and decided to try this place, and was really impressed with the breakfast here and the pancakes were so good that I will be seeking this place to eat again next time I make a visit to Alabama.
Love the food and the great service! I love to support this family owned and operated business!
Gadsden hidden gem. The food was excellent, taste, portions, and costs. The ladies who work there were accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Great food and outstanding service.
The sides and vegetables were amazing and tasted so delicious. My grilled chicken was bland, but everything else was great. There was a wait because they were super packed and busy, but the food was so worth the wait.
Ate there today July 15. Meatloaf coleslaw, fried green tomatoes, and creamed potatoes all was good with exception to the meatloaf and there was way to much garlic and maybe not enough other spices but could not tell due to the garlic.
Love the food and friendly staff
Super friendly and fast service, great atmosphere, and excellent food. Also, I really enjoyed that this place doesnt try to freeze you out the door. The room temperature was comfortable, might seem trivial but for people like me who are always cold, this is quite a treat.
We stopped here on the way to Gatlinburg. We found it by searching for “breakfast near me” It was a ways off the interstate because we had actually already passed it. But we got to it and it was in a cute little Refurbished area in the old downtown section. The food was delicious!!! Best omelet ever. Of all the places we are in pigeon forge and Gatlinburg, this was our favorite. It was a great “Choice”
This place jad really good breakfast food. Very nice staff and had a very small town home feel to it. Their prices were fair and not too much for the good food they had we will be back there we enjoyed it.
Amazing friendly service, great food for a even better price.
I was disappointed with the quality and quantity of the chicken and dressing. The service was good though... Overwhelmed but friendly.
Great food. Very friendly staff . Great place
The staff was very friendlyThe food was excellent . the prices was decent. Definitely will be back

Great country cooking, great service, reasonable prices. Highly recommended
Hands down the BEST chicken livers and sweet tater casserole.
Like being home again.Best Family owned restaurant in our downtown area.5stars.
Food was fabulous!! Service was great!! And the food cost was very good!@ I will go again!!
Delicious food, great service! We enjoyed southern cooked vegetables at great prices.
Southern style that Ive enjoyed here for a very long time! Daily specials are great.
They are about family and good friends the food is always great.
I have nothing bad to say about the choice but it cant be compared to Tre Southern Cafe other than the same type of food but a lot different way its prepared and that will be the difference in opinion to the individual and also choice has pork chops Tre does not but Tre has homemade chocolate gravy over fresh biscuits the choice does not
It is a very friendly, family operated business, its very peaceful, & they have really great service.
Very over rated. $9for 2 vegetables and a drink during lunch. Great service though
If you want wonderful southern cooking at a great price, this is the place!! Plus, its family owned! Their lunch is absolutely amazing! Haley was our waitress, and she has an outstanding personality, fast service, and we never wanted for anything. Food is always fresh, hot, and flavorful. The sweet potato casserole is one of my favorite! I highly recommend!!
Great food, service and friendly staff!! Highly recommend!
My first-ever visit to Gadsden (or Alabama, for that matter), and we found this gem for breakfast.Family-owned and run, its in the historic downtown area; we enjoyed the photos on the wall representing some of their history. But lets get to the point, the food and service. We seated ourselves, and were greeted by a young woman with a hometown accent that would melt your heart. When I asked some question about grits, she said, "Youre not from around here, are ya?" And I fell in love with Alabama right then and there, lol.The breakfast options were normal, and the food was very good.I engaged the owner in some conversation, and enjoyed what he had to say about the area and his history in that location.Highly recommend this place if youre in the area, looking for breakfast.
One of my favorite restaurants in gadsden!! Awesome breakfast and lunch, Service is always Top Notch!! I really enjoy a small town family owned and operated business, you always feel welcome and leave with a very happy belly!!! Thank you for serving our community!!!
Staff is always friendly, food is always good. Customer service is important and they know it. Comfortable atmosphere. Very welcoming. Dad needs particular sugar and or syrup if he gets pancakes and they take care of him .
Food is always great and so is the service. Always love going there.
I live The Choice! Always great food and plenty of it. Staff are always friendly and ready to help with anything. My favorite place to eat!!!
Its a great family oriented place to eat. The staff are the most friendly in town! You feel at home at the Choice! Love this restaurant! The food is delicious. 😊
Had the chicken and gravy, blk eyed peas, Mac n cheese (boxedsweet pot cass. Im stuffed. Enjoyed every bite. My first time there. They give you large portions as well.
Standard southern food done right. Plenty of seating. Fixed specials per day. If you are vegan you can still find something to eat. They do put meat in the greens. Fast service. Worth stopping in.
I happened in the place because I was killing a little time, and boy am I happy I found it! What an incredible little family gem- hidden in Gasden, but definitely worth my drive. The family the owns the place are extremely hospitable. I chose this place to eat because of the friendliness of the owners’ kids who were working the door. The sweet potato casserole and the fried green tomatoes are absolutely the best I’ve ever had. Tomatoes were tart and fried perfectly! I am incredibly pleased with this little meat and three. I will have to visit this part of Alabama again just to visit here!
Had relatives in town from the West looking for hometown cooking and atmosphere, this was it. Superb!! They raved about the liver and rice with gravey!! I had the chicken salad sandwich, truly wonderful! Waitresses were delightful!
Food was great. Fantastic burger. The only thing that would make it better would be filtered water. The ice water had the summer garden-hose tast. This was my first visit in over 12 years and it was a great visit.
The staff are really friendly, and the food is great. I always thought this place would be expensive, but I was pleasantly surprised. You get a lot of good, home-cooked food for a reasonable price. Great breakfast, their pancakes are the best!
Nasty, waitress was wiping her nose with her hand, then serving food. Didnt check on the table at all. Another waitress had to bring our bill. There was something floating in my coffee.
Great food, good prices, Great service very friendly
I didnt get my choice. Wanted breakfast but was told its lunch only. Really how hard is it to pull eggs and bacon out of the fridge and cook it at any given time. The Choice! Yeah okay maybe there choice but I didnt get to choose what I wanted to so I wont return there and didnt order anything.
I ordered from Gadsden2go and had delivered. The delivery was fast and great service, however the food is absolutely nothing to rave about. $8.99 for meat and 3 sides, the portions are so small. The mashed potatoes had a brown tint to them like they have either been warmed over or sitting out too long. The dressing was good but the gravy I could have definitely done without. Blacken eyed peas tasted like warmed up can beans. The fried green tomatoes was delicious. Ill just get Johnsons Deli the next time I want this sort of meal. Giving 2 stars based on these facts.
Wonderful food great service... We had heard so much about this little restaurant and finally we tried it today and it was wonderful .....
Every thing about the Choice Restaurant Rates a "Spirit of Excellence." My wife and I always enjoy the friendly expeditious service every time we eat here. Thanks for the wonderful cooks, waitresses, and caring owners.
Fabulous place to eat and hear ole timers stories. And the staff are so friendly. I would choose them over any high priced fancy restaurant around any day of the week.
The service was horrible.Spent my entire lunch break...except time to drive back...waiting on food.Never got it...had to leave.Food is usually good.DONT GO UNLESS YOU HAVE THE AFTERNOON OFF TO WAIT.
Open for breakfast and lunch. Love their breakfast, although all their food is good. They hosted our camping club of 30 and did a great job. Great food. Great service. Appreciated our group.
I have breakfast once a week at the Choice. Really nice people and good food. Priced Right. Go there - youll like it.
One of the best restaurants in Etowah County! The food is always great and the staff is as well. If youre not a regular, youre missing out!
