Targeted at under-12 kids this large museum has multiple hands-on galleries plus camps & programs.
Nothing special. At least not the day we went. A Friday. Nothing going on inside. Many of the activities werent functional. We were asked to leave one of the activities so someone could work on it. Next thing we know the whole area smelled like spray paint. Was very strong. We ended up leaving. We couldnt beleive someone would use spray paint(with all those fumesaround a bunch of children. :( of course when you leave they rope it off so that you have no choice but to walk thru the gift shop so your children ask for everything they see. :(
Great, hands-on, learning and playing experience for kids of all ages! Id recommend becoming a member if you live near the area, itll pay for itself in 4 visits.
This place is so cool. 3 floors with so much to do for kids of all ages ! I have no complaints at all. Our family has the membership and it is well worth the money!
A great, air conditioned place where you could spend hours of your toddlers day if you wished. They have a climbing tower, interactives exhibits, stem exhibits, and everyday simulations to play with! If we were in town wed get the membership.
To say I loved is an understatement really amazing place Skyler loved it he’s 1and a half.
5 stars +++ what a great place to burn some energy and learn fun stuff! The snack area is delicious and not overpriced
My daughter loves visiting. Very clean, and fun for kids. I wish theyd update some of their exhibits.
WOW! We’re blown away by how incredible this museum is compared to any we’ve been to before! So much learning and fun happening in such a modern way. Endless fun for sure!
So much to do for the whole day. There is tons of variety of play.Slim Pickings in the "cafe." Definitely bring a proper meal. There are so many great places to eat just a stroll away around town, so we had to drag our kid out kicking and screaming at lunch time. We loved the place and we hated to have to leave to get real food.
Our grandchildren ages eight and five loved all of the hands on experience. We were there for four hours and they were not ready to leave. Fun to be had!
Love that they try to include all children. There is a discount program with lower price ticket entry for lower income families. There is a wheelchair lift on the playground and a special sensory area for autistic children, like my grandson, he loved it !
A great place to take your children especially lately its been very hot outside. My only complaint is the price
What a fantastic children’s museum. Great especially for kids under 5. So many hands on activities…from food shopping at Publix to construction work…my 2 year old niece was totally engaged and having a blast! I highly recommend this place to all with kids visiting Greenville.
Many fun things for all childrens ages. Very clean facility. They also have a great break area where you can buy sandwiches, snacks and drinks or bring your own.
This is the best children’s museum we’ve been to, by far. There’s 4 floors filled with activities for children of all ages. I’d highly recommend getting the season pass. It pays for itself in just a few visits.
We have a yearly membership to both childrens museums; Spartanburg and Greenville. We have the Dreamer package and includes 5 entries. It has been well worth the money because we go at least twice a month. Our kiddos love going and playing but they are really learning through doing!
Very good place for kids.Your kids will be busy around 3 hours inside. There are cafe if you forget snacks.
This Childrens museum was well worth it! My son loved this place. We got our tickets the night before, showed up at 9 am and were there until almost noon and could have spent more time there. The museum itself was very interactive and entertaining. There were so many different stations and we loved it!! If you havent checked it out, definitely go!
Absolutely loved it. We have been bringing our girls here every time we visit from 3 hours away over the last 13 years. Staff are always very friendly, they honor military and first responders. Bathrooms and attractions are all very clean. Nothing but good to say.
Great experiences for children and adults. Infection control was lacking. Bring your own wipes to clean items children are trying on: hats, glasses, etc. Bathrooms are very clean. Camp was also was in progress when we visited today and the kids seemed very engaged. We had fun!
Great place to go with the kids. Ideal for 2 and up but you can find areas for very little ones. I would recommend going on a less buy day during off season perhaps. We went on a Sunday during July and it was pretty packed. Not sure if they have a limit to how many an hr but it was hard to navigate through it all with so many people and kids everywhere. Extremely recommend washing hands as often and sanitizing after each area to lessen the chance of catching a cold /virus. This is a very hands on place. Great for littles to learn but theres also a high risk for air borne illnesses and such during busy times.
Great place that all can enjoy. From toddlers to big brothers to dads.
We took a group of children from our Day Camp. I was well pleased and there is much to offer. Loved the new putt putt course!
Very nice place with 3 stories. Lots to do. We were there 5 hours with the grandkids and 2 nieces. They had so much fun.
This place was great! We took our 3 kids (2, 6, and 8here while passing by on a road trip and spent 3.5 hours. Non-stop entertainment for all 3 kids. We have taken our kids to many Childrens Museums and this is by far one of the best. Highly recommend!
I was surprised there reviews are not 5 stars yet🌟 this place is awsome. We loved it, and our kids loved it. I cant see how this can disappoint anybody this place is awsome.. Its literally the perfect place to take your kids. Would choose this over the park any hot given day.😁 when the kids do decide they want to go outdoors theres a outdoor playground that could satisfy any child needs. Just pack some snacks and cold drinks ,and enjoy. 😉
This is the absolute best Childrens Museum and we are so very lucky to have it here in the Upstate. We have been going to this great place since my daughter was about six months old. There is an endless variety of fun, educational, and safe activities for babies, toddlers and adolescents here. When we come to TCMU its at least a half day affair since there is so much to do. As she gets older we have to stay longer and longer which is wonderful and also difficult when time to leave. We have held two birthday parties at TCMU and they were both staffed, easy, fun, and tailored to what we wanted. The museum is constantly adding new exhibits and has short term rotating exhibits too. They recently expanded to Spartanburg with a smaller museum and its a great extra place for fun, especially to the younger kiddos. I would highly recommend it.
My kids LOVE coming here. Theyve had a blast each time they came and they always learn something new at the art stations. I sometimes avoid coming at times when they are busy because of the crowd. Regardless, its always money well spent and they seldom want to head home. I also get to be a kid again!
Really great Children’s Museum. Went on a Friday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy. It’s not absolutely huge, but the kids enjoy going to the exhibits over and over again. Bring a lunch as the cafe only has grab-and-go snacks.
Its a great place to take the kids with plenty things to do
Awesome kids museum! So much to explore and the kids had a blast!
We had our Daughters 7th birthday here & the staff made everything so easy & simple for us! The party room host was kind, attentive, and involved in our party. She interacted with the children, and helped us facilitate trivia for the kids. She definitely went above & beyond in helping make us all feel welcomed. There was so much for everyone to do & the kids can’t wait to come back!
My kids ages 9 7 & 4 all love this museum. We cone from Ohio to go and they talk about all day afterward.
Very nice place to take Kids. Soooo much to do. I spent all day there with my daughter. She loved every minute. They have 3 levels of fun. They even have an outside playground!! Worth the money!!
Excellent learning experience and activities for all ages parents and neighbors. Bring your kids, neices, nephews, cousins, babysitting kids etc.
Great place for children to learn hands on. My three year old loved it and we spent the entire afternoon here. Her favorite was the water tables that were in the lower floor... Now if only she didnt fight her bath time.
I took 4 children ages 4 to 11 on new Years Eve and there was something for all of them. They stayed entertained and had a blast for several hours. There was even a ball drop and Times Square style News Years celebration at noon. Of all the activities, their favorite was the Publix Market where they could play shopper, cashier or stock person. The stations are well done and provide seating for parents nearby. There is a huge variety of activities from art to climbing, out door play ground, air play, a teddy bear clinic and much more. The price is comparable to going to the movies and is much more educational and engaging.
This is just an excellent museum that is one piece of what makes Greenville a great city. We get annual memberships every year (worth itand my son has been here for a field trip with his school. It’s fun, the kids learn and they just have excellent hands on activities. The museum has done a great job of protecting the children during the pandemic and have excellent protocols in place. I recommend this museum to anyone living in or near the city or anyone visiting the city with children and I also recommend it to schools looking for field trip opportunities.
Even though my child is only a year and a half she had so much fun. I was surprised to see how much she was able to play with and almost every section had a toddlers area to play in. The staff were so polite and helpful. Im very much looking forward to going back.Overall it wasnt very expensive for me and her to go I was surprised they charged for parking but it was only $4 so it wasnt that bad. It is nice they offer a lunchroom you can buy snacks in or bring your own food. Next time well probably come earlier and eat lunch there so we can spend more time at each exhibit.
Always love spending time at our childrens museum. If u have a preschooler/ toddler its worth paying to join. At the moment the mini golf area is really cute. I love all the improvements they recently made.
Love the childrens musuem in spartanburg and this is another one of their locations. So many fun things to do. It is def more for older kids (the spartanburg location is for younger ones we have the membership and love that we can visit both musuems with that membership. Parking is a bit akward here but overall a great time. Def plan to come again sometime soon!
We went on a Saturday so it was busy, that being said we didnt have to wait to play on many things at all! It was a great time - the climbing portion in the middle was easily my oldest favorite. The mini golf was another family favorite as well as the water works area downstairs. There were so many fun things about this childrens museum, we will definitely come back next time we are visiting!
So much fun! Perfect for kids of all ages. We went with three, (2, 4, 6and everyone had a blast!!
Thank you for prioritizing common sense and making masks optional. We were closer to Atlanta and almost went there, but they still mandate masks... even for 3yo kids at ALL times. 4 star instead of 5 because a few exhibits were closed.
My kids had a blast at this museum. They enjoyed being able to touch and play with everything. They really enjoyed the outdoor playground.
Wow, the best kids place I have ever been so far.I live about 2 hrs away from here.It has great things for kids. Entrance floor has doctor and some race car and space ships, bank stuff. Top floor has golf, construction, and farm stuff. Bottom floor has water, art, and sound stuff. Outside has playground too. This is my first time, it wont be my last time. Also, $10 for adults and $9 for kids. Really cheap for what it has.
Wow, so much fun! My kids loved it, and so did I. A lot of different interactive exhibits: race cars, tic tac toe robot, space shuttle, supermarket, banking, indoor playground (it’s a climbing exhibit but sage for all ages), a “rock climbing” wall, art and music exhibits, water exhibits, and a really fun outdoor Michelin playground. Smaller exhibits like Betty’s barn for younger kiddos. Bring your own water/snacks in a small backpack. The ticket price is for all day, and you can leave and come back if you want. Definitely worth a trip here once!
This is a great place to bring your children (thankfully they wont let you in without onelots of fun and educational activities for kids of all ages. The paper airplane station was a hit as well as the race car and space shuttle simulator. Grownups are required to wear masks and it never got too crowded. Great value and centrally located for a lunch after they get their wiggles out. Super fun for everyone and would come again. If we lived here I suspect we would be members!
We had a lot of fun! It was lots of kids. Many different floors and activities. Staff are really nice. My kids really loved the water play and building in the construction area. Its pretty big. And theres a restroom on every floor believe, which is great for little ones who cant hold it for too long.
Took our 5 year old grand daughter and we had a blast. WE had as much of as she, and it is a great hands-on learning and play experience. Really cool small playground outside for sunny days. We enjoyed it so much that we bought annual passes.
