3813 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115, United States, East Cleveland
A family-oriented venue with interactive exhibits designed to foster playful learning.
The children really enjoyed themselves!
Wearing masks is barbaric .. Look at the science it’s absurd !Making children breathe in their own carbon dioxide is harmful
This place was the highlight of my childhood. So many great memories and fun times playing here. Wish I was a kid again so I could go back. Highly recommend for your little ones. :-)
We love the childrens museum! It is always clean, the staff are all very nice and it has a good amount of different activities! We have an annual pass(it pays for itself after just 2 visitsand it is perfect for those days when the weather makes going outside impossible!
Such a great place for kids to play and learn. Our son loves it especially the water room. We got a membership and go frequently.
Highly hyped and not the worth of hype place. Extrimely small space even wirh timed, reserved, and mask optioned tickets still not as good as COSI. The 3rd floor is useless for little kids but fun for adults for scavenger hunting the small sticker.
My family had a wonderful time here especially since we were visiting Cleveland and were looking for something fun for my 4 year old too do. He really had a great time and burned some energy while also learning new things. They also had a safe place for my 1 year old to crawl around and play.
Its a WONDERFUL place of interactive play! There is an area for very young ones with very unique built in manipulative s & things to climb. Very comfy for a toddler. The other areas are fantastic! Water play with tubes & balls, a tubed wall that sucks up scarves & tosses them out at the top.Big wooden cars to take apart & put back together. Make-believe grocery store, tree house & stage with costumes & sound affects, an art room with instructor & the list goes on. -- Everything is very clean. REMEMBER you must make reservations & they are closed on Thursday.Staff is great. We have purchased 3 families a year pass which was on a wish list. So worth it! Great imaginary play!
Really a great place to get membership for the year. If you go at least 3 times, you’ll get your money’s worth. So many things to do with the kids. The staff are great about trying to keep the place safe. Lots of fun having conversations with different parents or going there as a play date. My only complaint is some of the parents. This comes from the educator side of me, but man, it only takes 1 bad parent to ruin it for group of kids. If you’re going to take your child here, and you should, make sure you know how to discipline your kids and how to act like a good civilian. Allowing your child to break rules, or play unfairly in public areas, does more disservice to your child and their future - school, workplace, etc. Teach your kids wrong from right. Overall, most parents and families are great. Great option for covid toddlers to develop their social skills too. Highly recommend! They are still reservations only so book in advance!
My daughter and I took her two children,my grandchildren: boy and girl. They had a blast with all the exhibits, their favorite was the aqua play. Love how the museum incorporated racial equity in their display.
The Cleveland Childrens museum is nice. Its really good for kids ages 5 and under. They currently limit your time to 2 hours. This is very doable as it is a smaller museum.
We absolutely love it here, its neat, clean and everyone is super friendly. BUT its time to get rid of those 2 hours admission! Its very annoying to be strictly bound to a 2 hours time slot. 2 hours are not enough for this wonderfull place and if you have several kids with naps its basically impossible to find a fitting time as there are only 2 options 9am and 11:30am.
We used to love the museum. Prior to Covid, they had a program for special needs children that once a month theyd open 1.5 hours early. We have two autistic children and always brought them during this time, so when the museum opened to the public again we purchased another family membership. We were very disappointed to find out the sensory time would not be coming back and were told it was because the grant funding was lost, but it wasnt a free event, we still paid for entry. Now we have a useless family membership as the normal crowds are too overwhelming. It is our fault for not checking into that, however I didnt think that the only special needs program they offered at simply 1.5 hours a month would be taken away, it is hard to believe theres no budget for that, but special needs children are often forgotten about.
We went for the first time today and it was amazing! My 2 year old had a blast & so did we. So much to do and perfect for young kids.
We went to the mask required session first thing in the morning and had a wonderful time. I have an under 3yo child, and there was plenty for her to do; she didnt want to leave when our time slot was up! Will definitely come back.
Cute little museum for the kids to have some fun. Kind of expected it to be big when you see the Cleveland art and history museum. But still good enough to 1-2 hours.
This is a very cool place to take the children (even the little ones)! They have many things, such as a water area for the kids to splash at, a climbing playground, an arts and crafts area, and even a theater for the kids to put on a show! As of right now, you have to make reservations for 2 hour-timed tickets or guided rentals, and wearing masks depends on what kind of reservation you make. They also have a little play space outside for when you wait to get in, because they only open the doors when your reservation time starts.
Great experience for kids. My 2yr old had a blast today and played her heart out. I would only bring a stroller w you if you have kids under 2. I brought mine just in case but it was just an inconvenience. The lower 3 rooms are great for younger kids 0-5(?The rooms upstairs are more for older kids. (Arts and craft actitvies)Only giving it one star less because i thought there would be a lot less of a crowd due to covid and the fact that you have to reserve tickets. Great experience over all Im sure well be back.
A great indoor play area for children as there are so many different learning areas for them to discover. its definitely a 5 star place due to that however thanks to COVID restrictions meaning you can only book a 2 hour play slot (and the non-masked one is currently 1130-1330Ive given it 4 stars as 2 hours isnt really long enough to fully experience it. That said, next time Im back in Cleveland Ill be going again.
Absolutely perfect childrens museum for all ages. Weve had a membership since they opened and I cant recommend it enough. Theyre so friendly and its so spacious with all sorts of activities.
So much fun for my 2 and 7 yr olds!Organized - 2 hr timed ticket required in advance. There was no waiting or scanning of tickets, staff simply found your name and verified the # of visitors.Masks required at this timeWebsite is super informativeWay better/more interactive than the Great Lakes Science Center for younger kids.My boys were even entertained by the doll houses because of the competition to find the logo hidden in each one.Appreciate the heavy-duty waterproof coat/aprons available
If you have grandchildren, like I do, this is a great place to spend a few hours! The water room is a blast. Everything is well taken care of and the house is amazing!
My family and I really enjoyed coming here. My 5 year old loved every area of the museum. It was very entertaining, really clean, and staff was super nice. I see us coming back soon.
We came here with PreK students and they had so much fun! Definitely would recommend putting this on your to-do list if you have little kiddos. The staff were so good with all the kids, much appreciated!
Although a fairly small museum many fun things that would easily allow you to spend almost the entire day there. We went during COVID times and it was all well managed. Capacity was limited and kids were able to enjoy of pretty much most amenities. The big playground and science (fluids roomwere some of my favorites. My kids like those and the theater section. Worth checking out!
Omg when we came here my children went spastic inside. But Im betting everyones child has when going here. Its been also 2 years since we went here. And hopefully this covid stuff goes away so I can take my kids here again. Parking is free... my advice get there early to get a good parking spot. At first impressions it basically looks like a old house that has a couple random statues on the outside to the right and a kids small playground in the front (like a obstacle course I would say). Kids loved it. Going in, you buy or show your tickets to the ladies at the front. A security guard is there also. One way in and one way out. There are lots of floors and plenty of things for your little ones to do. Lego station, water/air/electric stations, music, antiques (have glass over them of courseart, conferences, local musicians come to play and teach kids music. They provide cloaks to keep children from getting wet. A huge playground, playhouse, building area, plus a dress up, stage area for the kids to act like Divas or Lil Rock Stars. There are restrooms on each floor, and a rest area. Even a area you can play a few board games in.
Great experience! Super clean and plenty of hand sanitizer. Temps taken before we entered. Social distancing and masks were enforced and plenty of space to run around. Kids had a blast and we all felt safe.
So much fun for our girls!!! I wasnt sure if our 10 year old would be too "cool" for the activites and different stations they had but she had just as much fun as her 6 year old little sister. The best part was the water section. Super neat how each piece and part can be seen because of it being clear where the plastic balls shoot through. Only downfall was that it was pretty packed, although we expected that on a Saturday afternoon. It didnt impede our time or fun. The playhouse area was also a hoot! Tons of things to do, and at least 2 hours without hearing the "Im bored" that kids usually like to voice lol. Will definitely go again!
my daughter had a blast exploring this place. fun and educational and just a quick drive out of town. we will be visiting again!
What a great place for kids of all ages. Tons of fun things for the kids to get into. My son loves the water area. I had a little fun too. Very affordable and they offer year memberships.
Story time for the early birds is a perfect way to get the day started off on the fun foot. After that, we follow our spirited child to adventure city, arts and parts the wonder lab and the theater. It’s fun, fast and sure to help your little tikes burn through some of that pent up energy winter tends to provide.
The Cleveland Children’s Museum is such a wonderful place! There is a plethora of play areas including a play theater, climbing structure, reading nook and many more!We especially enjoyed the water room and the Meadow. It is very clean and well maintained and the staff is helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend!
A really great place for kids - the facilities are clean, there are great activities for all ages, free parking, and places to snack. I recommend bringing your own food as options on-site are limited. Admission is $12 per person, under 1 year free. Consider the membership if you have a large family.
Super interesting and beautifull. It has a few activity areas for kid super cool. Theres a third floor full with art, history and tiny houses. So good place to take your child.
I love taking my son here. He is in love with everything they have to offer. I got the one year membership for $80 and it is a really great deal. The employees are very nice and seem like they really enjoy being there. Its very exciting to come here.
GREAT PLACE.Visited with my wife & 2yr old daughter. (I dont think parents should have to pay.The place is GREAT. We ended up using the price of our entrance as a deposit on a yr pass. DEFINITELY will be going back and I DEFINITELY recommend to gonat least once. The last three pictures are a doll house that is on display on the 2nd floor.
What a wonderful museum. Easy location and so so much to do construction, water play, art and painting, play garden, puppeteering and stage (dress up, tech booth, makeup area...even a quiet reading room if you just need a little sensory break. The downstairs tends to be high energy and louder. The second floor has lots of dollhouses but also smaller side rooms with Legos, dollhouse arranging, etc. Go upstairs for more calm. If kids get hungry there is an eating area with vending machines. There are water fountains where you can fill up water bottles. Well worth the membership. There is handicapped parking and a wheelchair ramp entrance. There is an elevator. Wheelchairs are also available inside. You can have birthday parties here. They even have birthday party rooms. I highly recommend this museum for all ages.
I just love the new museum. Went there for the first time on presidents day and the kids loved it. We had such a great time we bought a membership and are planning on going back many times.
Such an incredible place! We brought our 15 year old, 10 year old, and 7 year old. We all had a blast! The building is so gorgeous. There are fireplaces in many of the rooms. The ceilings are eighteen feet high. The windows, archways, woodworking, and decor is all perfect. There were several engaging and fascinating exhibits to keep us learning and enjoying ourselves. We loved the water area, the dance party silhouette room, the dress up zone, the miniature exhibit, the legos, the art room, the suction machine , the noodle room. It was all a blast!! The staff was wonderful and the place was spotless. Can’t wait to return!
My daughter showed my three year old grandson pictures from the museum & told him I was taking him. He was ecstatic! I was worried it wouldnt live up to his imagination. Boy, was I wrong! Anything your child my be interested in is offered here in a play setting (the best way to learn!). From a grocery store, garage for cars to a theater, library & art supplies...kids can come & go as they please. I was thouroughly impressed & WILL return!! I know he cant wait either!
Overall great place to bring kids. But the cafe area could use an upgrade. Coffee? Food? Maybe a small kiosk of sandwiches. All I saw was a microwave and vending machines and tables for people to sit down and eat their own food. Which is great for those who want to bring their own food.I would offer both options.Parking is limited. I had to walk quiet a bit from where I parked. And when you’re a parent, with a child, and carrying a backpack or their stuff it’s already hard enough. So, I wold def improve those two things. And i will change my rating to a 5.
Great place for its age 0-8. Not too expensive and its a non profit establishment. There are currently 7 exhibits open for children to play and learn and they are well on their way to opening three more very soon! Highly recommend for a rainy day or to book your birthday party!
My 3yr old and 8 month old loved it. The wife said I enjoyed it a little to much too. If you live local get the membership, the kids will beg to comeback.
Millionaires Row home turned childrens play museum. Upper level has several dolls and dollhouses under glass including a replica of the museum in its gilded era glory. The lower level has a water play area (smocks keep kids pretty dry), climbing area and little library with reading nooks. The first floor has an art workshop and gift shop, and a common area that was hosting storytime during our visit. Free lockers with digital combination locks and two dining areas where you can enjoy vending machine snacks or outside food are convenient. Lack of outdoor elements/activities during warm weather months was why I gave only four stars.
Much improved. Upstairs is nothing but dollhouses which are neat once, but not something I would come back for. Kids older than 10 may feel board. Parking is great and access is easy from the street. The new water and climbing area are fantastic.
May 2018 (museum will hit One Year on Nov 18). Parent of a 2 yr old.Courteous staff, generally clean facility, appropriate safety measures for kids, fascinating historic mansion. Looking forward to their future exhibits. We will definitely be coming back.
Amazing place to take the kids. They have plenty of cool activities for them to do, and cool part is if you have a WIC or EBT card then the admission is only $2/person up to 4ppl. Instead of the $12 for regular admission. They also have memberships you can apply for. Different pricing for different family sizes, but if you keep your receipt that can be applied toward your membership fee. There is a cafe inside you can bring food and eat or have food delivered there. There are cool learning activities on all 3 levels. My children love the lower level the most. Will be going back more often now.
This place is frickin awesome! The water exhibits are cool, the art room is fun, my 3yo loves all of it and was beat by the time we left. If you are going to go more than twice in a year, it seems like you’re better off getting a yearly membership (80 bucks for 3 people). All in all, a great time for kids.
Was nicely redone and has some fun things to do but not worth the $12 per person- they have a water room, a playground type area in the basement where the kids spent most of their time, the main floor had an arts room but none of the activities were interesting - coloring, making a paper headband, and weaving with paper. The top floor is miniature doll houses with a small area for kids to play in their own dollhouse - the size of the nook- interesting for adults but not much for kids - I think they should add a rotating exhibit - more snacks available and more interesting art activities - and lower the price
The new Childrens Museum of Cleveland is as beautiful as it is fun and innovative. My children have been there multiple times now and they continue to ask me when our next visit will be. Its one of very few places where parents and children can all have an incredible time together because everyones comfort has been considered -- its a beautiful, clean, one-of-a-kind space where I know my kids are safe and happy, and where our entire family can have fun together.Everything is interactive and geared towards encouraging kids of all ages to explore and experiment. My two-year-old is ecstatic with every visit to the Wonder Lab, where hes amazed by the cause and effect of sending balls down a ramp and watching streams of water shoot them into the air. Meanwhile, my six-year-old daughter is just as busy constructing complex structures to manipulate water in all sorts of fascinating ways.I love that in Adventure City they not only get a ton of physical activity, but theyre both using their imaginations and collaborating with new friends in the Farmers Market, Clinic and Garage, as they make up all sorts of games and scenarios with kids they meet during our visits. Our entire family loves going to the new museum. Were proud to have this is in our hometown and eager to support it in the coming years. This is Cleveland -- this is what we always wanted for our city and this is what Clevelands kids and families have deserved.
