Terrible restaurant, I dont understand why theyre still in business. The menu sign in the drive thru hasnt been updated since 1988. The only hire high school kids so the customer service is absolutely awful. Theyll make you wait for sides.Basically dont eat here. Popeyes is better.

I had an amazing experience at Chicken barn!! Their food is outstanding and their service is fantastic. We received our food quickly and it was hot and tasty!! It is a clean, friendly, and exceptional restaurant.

I love the nugget combo. It came very fast.

This is our first time eating from here. Food is meh got our order wrong and too pricey for the quality you get

Chicken, Mac b cheese and Cole slaw were all good. They were out of mashed potatoes and gravy by 5:30 pm

I love chicken barn, my kids grew up eating chicken barn. We love the skinny spuds, and dipping them in their mustard sauce. The Nuggets are always Big pieces and I can never finish them all. I have been eating chicken barn since the early 90s. So I’ve been eating there for over 30 years, that shows right there their product their cleanliness and kindness has always been there. Just talking about it makes me hungry. I think my husband and I will have it for dinner tonight. Chicken barn keep doing what you’re doing because you’ve been doing it right for years. Our family loves this place. This is our favorite place when it comes to chicken/spuds and the best BBQ sauce. I wish they had a place in Turlock. 5 stars!!!!

OK Im going to be honest here I used to eat at this establishment back in the early 2ooo even when I was a kid To be honest the barbecue chicken was always great I got it last week one day after work ordered a 2 piece with wedges yes and Im not gonna lie I need to get food poisoning and I know it was from there because I fast and that was the 1st thing I had in A-day and a 1/2 I dont know if its because they have a young crew doing it now or what it is but its not what it used to be and Im sorry to say that but Im only gonna rate them at a 2 star

The Chicken Barn has some of the best quality chicken in town, and you can never go wrong with the spuds! The dining area is kept clean and I appreciate the owner’s and management’s attention to cleanliness and detail. I always have a positive experience with the staff, and I think it’s great that the owners are making some positive changes.

Family Meals are Kinda $teep...I enjoyed their Juicey WHITE Chicken&Their Dark Chicken is about good too!!Mac-N-Cheese tasted Bland but their Potato Salad was Good!!Cool Drive-Thru with Boothz that have a Nice View of The McHenry Blvd Strip......Hurry-They kinda Close Early!!!

Make sure to check your order for completeness. We ordered the 40 piece nugget party pack and received 35 total. We also were completely shorted 8 biscuits. $75 dinner to eat outside….I still expect it to be correct. Not in a big hurry to return, quality not The same as I remember.

Could have more flavor on bbq chicken sandwich but JoJo potato is very good

Sauces are a DISASTER! Ranch is sugary sweet - yuck! BBQ sauce is strong & awful. Manager: Please taste-test and get some sauce that tastes good.The gravy on the mashed potatoes tasted excellent, but there was barely any on the mashed potatoes. The Pepsi tasted PERFECT. EXCELLENT carbonation and very satisfying on a hot day. The mac n cheese was a little better than ok. The spuds would have been good with some decent sauce like a slightly sour/ slightly salty ranch (not sweet). The chicken sandwich was just barely ok. The corn had a moderate garlic smell & taste in the spices. I usually dont like garlic, but this was fine. They dont have cornbread.The guys working behind the counter & at the drive-thru window were super cool and nice. They were very professional and competent. I saw people working hard in the kitchen.$7.49 is a good value for their daily special. I got a chicken filet sandwich, side & drink for $7.49.

I am increasingly inclined to give up on this establishment. The food is still very much to my liking but for the price I would expect a higher rate of correct orders. I would especially expect a lower incidence or missing items which I have paid for. As it stands it has been months since I have received a correct order. High staff turnover and inexperience no longer begins to justify these levels of incompetence. This fault lays squarely at the feet of ownership and management.

I have given this place many chances by trying different things on the menu. They use very cheap, low quality products especially the veggies. The Broccoli specifically has no crunch, and is discolored. This last experience will be my last unfortunately. You get what you pay for and this place is cheap so that says alot.

I love this place. Always get the chicken nuggets with all the valley sauce I can get!!! ( Their special secret sauce that Ive been in love with for 30+years !!They are fast friendly and quality of the food beats your average fast food drive thru.

The food was horrible! They had no plates and the place smelled funky. By far the worst place I have ever eaten at.

Food was good chicken was crunchy and juicy it was a little more expensive then the average fast food but the quality was better so it ended up evening out.

Very unsatisfied with this place! They never have anything & always forget to put bar-b-que. Today I asked for bar-b-que & was given hot sauce

The chicken nuggets were very light in color they werent crunchy at all. The to go carton with so flimsy when I opened it once and I could not close it back up again.On a positive note the manager and everybody else I came in contact with were friendly and helpful. I will go back!

Tried this place off a recommendation from a friend. Maybe I just had a bad experience. One nugget was very hard and chewy. Potato wedges were good but nothing special for me. Nothing against my friend but Id go to SaveMart for generic chicken nuggets and potato wedges and save some money. The people serving us were very nice (went through the drive throughand the valley ranch sauce was good hence 2 stars.

One of my personal favorites for over 30 years. The Nugget meal with spuds is always a must do. Dont pass up on the Valley Sauce. It goes great with the nuggets and spuds.

The worst chicken sandwich Ive ever had. Had a chicken dinner a few years ago and it was pretty much not very good. Then have had 2 chicken sandwiches the past week (my boss brought them to usand it was the most dry disgusting hard bread chicken sandwich Ive ever head!!! How do you vote -5??????

Only came for cheesecake and tried the chicken bowl to get a small hot dog container half full of chicken and little more look at the photo before eating it ! Glad I didn’t pay $7-8 for combo with soda still I understand inflation and stock issues however come on people. Customers , packaging and detail:)

The last few times weve been here theyve forgotten part of our order. This is one of the only restaurants I know of that doesnt give you something extra to make it worth your drive back to pick up your missing item. This time when I drove back to pick up my missing cole slaw it wasnt filled all the way up. When I pay this much for food I expect a good experience. Honestly, accidents happen but they shouldnt be at the cost of the customer.

The food was fantastic!We are in the dining room. There were 4 other customers also eating in the dining room. The store wasn’t busy. Every single table was dirty. We used a napkin to wipe ours off. The restroom was also very dirty.

All 4 girl employees are standing there dancing making tik tok videos while I have been waiting in the drive thru for 30 minutes. Being stuck in a drive thru with no way to leave and having to watch these careless employees getting paid to Screw around while I just got off a twelve hour shift and was trying to get something fast and easy on my way home for my family . Its just poor employees and manegment. They must have no fear of getting fired and I know they didnt care about the line moving at all. I was in the same spot for 30 minutes before I moved up one car. The whole ordeal took 50 minutes in totall. The whole time I just was tempted to jump the curb just so I could go home. Had to stay cause I was stuck. Dont waste your time at this place . I wish at I could say the food was worth the wait but it wasnt. The chicken breast I got wasnt cooked all the way had blood coming out. What a waste of money and time.

I got a 10-piece nugget meal everything was very hot and fresh except the chicken nuggets. I tried one and it was barely warm and the breading was a little bit soggy.I took the bag of chicken in and ask for them to replace it. the girl took the bag squished the chicken through the bag, said it was warm, handed it back to me and said she wasnt going to waste product by giving me something different when Im just going to get the same product thats in the warmer. The other kid running it said he would take one out of the warmer and let me try it to see if it was any warmer than the chicken they had served me if that would make me happy. Not fresh

Chicken nuggets were cold and the valley sauce had a very VERY strong apple cider vinegar odor. I remember the sauce being white. Today the sauce had a yellow tint and smelled awful! I know with covid times are tough but dont ruin your reputation being cheap!

Need to new help! Lost my vote to go back! We loved that place, we went and ordered a white breast meal corn looked so old, and a tabkespoon of mashed no gravy which a asked, get home which we live in ripon, came home no butter spoons , yes we are home its the point, called them manager just says you can bring it back, and argued the fact how can they serve old looking food i wrked my self in restaurant on owed

First off the chicken was not crispy and was greasy.They put my chicken in the box with biscuits on top. Everything wet from the steam from the chicken.To make it worse the box broke and partial chicken and biscuits fell on the street. Potatoes and cole were good. You spend 43 dollars you expect some quality I think.

It is over priced and the potato salad was made with potatoes that had been cooked then frozen, well every one knows the texture a potato gives after being frozen then thawed. NOT GOOD.Now the chicken was delisous.

I have eaten here a number of times. Today it was disappointing. My combo meal- the bisquit was dried out and hard, mashed potatoes dry/old. My chicken breast ok. My granddaughter could not eat her BBQ chicken sandwich. It was not good, soggy bun and too much dressing and mayo. Not sure if I will be back.

Over $9 for each 5 piece chicken nugget meal, one meal had 5 tiny nuggets and on skinny spud and one normal sized spud. it used to come with 3 spuds but when you ask,they say 2 to 3. They now only give one sauce per meal,which they have now made half the size they used to be, and charge you for all the rest. When we got home a bit ago,they had put the bbq sauce in to the bag to where it spilled all over the food, and my daughter almost swallowed a bone from her boneless chicken nugget!??? They have gone downhill!!! They are not what they used to be when i used to go with my grandma who lived around the corner from their location for nearly 50 years. I think were done with Chicken Barn!

I moved to Modesto in 2003 and up until a week ago I had never been there. I was with family it was quick, short line, reasonably priced so thats what we agreed on. We got a pretty big order since there was alot of us, but I gotta say I wasnt very impressed. We sat at the window for almost 10 minutes waiting for our food and mind you NO ONE was in front of us or behind us at that time. When we got our food I felt like it was a bit backward. The wedges were crunchier than the chicken. That right there was enough for me. I didnt even bother trying anything else. Sorry Chicken Barn . . . . not a happy camper

I ordered a chicken sandwich. It was good but the patty was much smaller than the bun. The wedges were good but whatever you do, dont say fries, that upsets them. The staff wasnt very friendly.

This is my familys favorite chicken place. Real chicken nuggets and spuds to die for! Dont forget the mustard relish sauce to dip everything in! The employees are so polite and efficient. Never an issue with an order!

I always wondered why people would sit in such a long line to get chicken - until I caught them on a day with not much of a line that is! If you have never been I highly suggest you take the time to stop for lunch or dinner. $40 will feed 3-4 people ( depending on their appetite. and I promise you wont be sorry! Great flavor, fast service, even when they are super busy, and a smiling face behind the mask at the window - all make for a great experience each time I go! Thanks Chicken Barn!

The best fried chicken period. They do not load the chicken or sides with salt. The chicken is tender not greasy at all for being fried chicken. Look for their daily specials and take advantage of them.

A place that I just plain loved!! Great food! Chicken and potatoes!
