Birthday buffet 1st floor excellent from start to finish the staff there were a credit to your establishment food was amazing thank you!!!!
Absolutely amazing food, the service was quick and the food was fresh and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend
An excellent foody place with its own golf course and stunning grounds, we went there for a christening and (on a separate occasiona funeral. They have a great space and the food was really nice, well definitely book it again for future christenings, birthdays, wedding receptions, religious celebrations, book clubs, paper company conventions, and of course funerals.
Went for a birthday dinner at 18.00 hours. Most of us had a Sunday dinner. The meals had been thrown together and were only just warm.
Its a large place but theres a few little nooks to share a quiet dinner with.We didnt book, it was a Wednesday, but there were lots of free tables in the area by the bar.Our dinner was lovely and filling and the staff were attentive and friendly.
Great place for proper Sunday roast. Delicious! Also very friendly staff, nice interior and unique desserts.
I am vegan and this is the worst attempt at vegan cooking I have ever experienced.
We had a family wake today an was a lovely spread...lovely staff...would recommend celtic arms for family parties π₯³ ect
Lovely, tasty meal, attentive staff, couldnt fault it. Fabulous.
Had lunch here. The prawn sandwich was super tasty and reasonably priced. Good staff
Lovely food and nice place, however the service was very slow.Wouldve been a 5 star review if the service was better.
Food was fabulous. Staff were very friendly and attentive. My only small gripe was the soup of the day was celeriac! All in all great experience and lovely ambience π
Good location, staff & food. Well worth a visit.
Great Sunday roasts after a long day climbing Snowdon. Service was great too π
Booked a Sunday lunch on the same day, and we were very pleased with this choice. A pretty conventional lunch menu, but the starters, main courses and puds were generous, tasty and perfectly cooked. I dont review mediocre venues, so this restaurant is good enough to share with you too. Good value, tasty meals with friendly staff in a classy well appointed dining area.
Great venue, delishious roast, reasonable prices and great ales on draught. Lovely staff too. Well be back for sure. 5 stars.
As always a lovely Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Lovely venue and excellent staff.
Food...100%, service top notch. Great for a getaway to sit, relax and be spoilt.
Not impressed , best part were waiting on staff, food was not good, it has gone downhill, steak burger was very bland and tasteless, chips were soggy, best part of meal on a table for 6 people was the chicken bites, You can try it, but we are not going back,
Beautiful food, well worth a visit β€οΈ
Great menu, excellent service and quality food.
Lovely beef roast with all the trimmings. Fresh and cooked to your preference. Great service too
Came for a wedding evening reception. The staff were friendly and quick at serving drinks despite the number of guests vs workers. The food was really good, the room was tastefully decorated and the night went without hitch.
Relaxed atmosphere great service brilliant food and drink. Thanks
Had Sunday Lunch (roast beef, you can choose to have it well done or pink). Decent sized portion, came with two veg, very large Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy. Very quick service (meal served within 10 minutes of ordering). Staff very friendly.
Beautiful place ,great food lovely atmosphere
Regular visitor here. The food is great, the selection of drinks is excellent, and on a dry day sitting outside the views are spectacular. Also dog friendly.
A little disappointed as we feel it is not as good as it used to be, food seems more mass produced, less personal
Went for a drive Fathers day and ended up having a meal here, we rang and luckily got a table for 7pm.On entry to the Celtic Arms it was a high walled gated area with absolutely beautiful gardens which went on for some considerable area, it is a golf club as well and a beautiful golf course with golf buggies opposite the restaurant.Opposite the golf buggies their is a play area that as I recall was fenced off but attached to the restaurant as its also a bar.On arrival to the resteraunt the manager was extremely warm and welcoming and escorted us to a table just outside of the restaurant.During the time we where in the Celtic Arms I observed the waitress in the restaurant constantly clean and spraying the tables which was absolutely so reassuring since the last covid people have relaxed a bit to much.A young lady who was equally as welcoming came and as us for our order, it was a set three course meal at Β£23.99 which we felt was really reasonable for such a lovely place.Halfway through our time in the Celtic Arms the young lady went home from her shift that had intially taken our order and I pressume we then passed to another waitress.I felt we where out of the eye of the bar but not in the restaurant so got a little forgotten about, although once we called a member of staff to remove our plates these where remove immediately. The starters where delicious with plenty of prawns on the prawn cocktail and the pate had an amazing homemade chutney. The mains where lamb and beef with the whole meal being cooked to perfection and hot with vegetables cooked just right.A lovely touch we felt was the lady out of the restaurant came and asked us if everything was to our liking and was there anything of the meal we would like a little extra off, I dare say you wont get a ton of potatoes or veg but the gesture was very touching and to be honest the meal size was ample. The desert white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake we shared and both agreed it was delicious, and we then shared a cheeseboard which I had got on the three course set menu. The delicious chutney again appeared with varies cheeses, crackers and grapes. Our compliments where left with the manager and the staff with our thanks for serving and delivering multiple resteraunts can not quite achieve.Well done Celtic arms for your polite, professional manner and serving a delicious good quality meal which was ample portioned, reasonably priced in an excellent environment.Would definitely recommend this place its beautiful and wins hands down on the last 20 plus places we have been over the last few months. We will most definitely be going back again.
We were a party of 8 , and booked for 6.30pm on Fathers Day. The food was excellent , and we enjoyed the whole experience.
Wonderful food and most helpful staff. A very enjoyable venue and restaurant.
Went for lunch with my two dear friends , lovely food and service ordered cocktails, I wasnβt keen on mine , my friend enjoyed hers , they offered me another one , but we were going so he took it off our bill excellent service , definitely will return never been disappointed, thank you
Had a delicious meal in The Celtic Arms at lunchtime today. Beautiful setting. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is lovely and bright and airy, perfect for anyone who might be nervous in these days about being too close to fellow diners and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.
Never had a bad meal. Staff sometimes a bit inexperienced, but over all well worth a go
Sunday roast dinner was fabulous. Staff are attentive and friendly. Location is great with huge carpark. Loved it.
Me and my friend visited last week. We both opted for the midweek menu deal. I had the pate and the rump steak cooked medium rare and my friend had the prawn cocktail and the rump steak cooked medium. Both steaks were brilliantly cooked to our liking βΊοΈ
Amazing food as always, very friendly service and beautiful location and restaurant whether your visiting for a meal or booking a venue for a special occasion. Love The Celtic Arms
VERY DISAPPOINTED. Booked for Sunday lunch for two. Was given a tiny table with uncomfortable chairs. Took a long time for someone to take our order 45 minutes only just received the starter. Large groups were waited on much more efficiently than just us 2. Starter was mediocre and main was not very hot with very little gravy.
Pleasant staff, good service, and lovely food, thank you.
Excellent service and setting giving me and my partner a lovely valentines dinner. Food was beautiful in taste and presentation. They do cocktails too!
Absolutely Beautiful long awaited family meal. Our food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour we were a table of 10 and no one had a bad word to say. We had a good selection of starters mains and desserts. The manager and staff were very attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble even when the pub was full of diners. We cant wait to visit again. Our Thanks to the Team at the Celtic Arms.
Good food, nice staff, had a very pleasant chilled out lunch with family
We had a large group with a 2 and a half hour slot for our table. The staff was mostly friendly, food was great, however, we didnt get to order desserts, as, despite finishing our mains in good time, no one really came to ask about desserts. Then we ran out of time to bother.
Stopped off on the way from Wales. The Sunday lunch was one of the best Ive ever had, topped off with beautiful scenery. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. Also it is dog friendly which is an added bonus.
Gorgeous food. Recommend the lasagne! Friendly staff, very clean and a nice little play area for the kids. We stopped on the journey from Anglesey to the South of England as not far off the A55. Lovely break and welcome change from a service station!
Came here on a Saturday evening where I did not make any table booking reservation. I was lucky to be able to get a table here at such short notice. Itβs located in a very nice golf club resort. They have very nice selection of gin for those who want to give a try. Quite nice presentation on the food. Though I prefer a bigger steak portion but thatβs my preference. Overall good experience!
Lovel meal here , service was a little slow. But food was delicious π
Visited for 1st time after hearing good things and wasnt disappointed. Staff were great and food top notch. The Steak was outstanding. Be back again soon π
Lovely place with plenty of space all around you. Staff were efficient & very pleasant. There was 4 adults & 2 young children in our group. All of our food was really good! Nice play area too but unfortunately too wet to use it. I would recommend the Celtic Arms & we will definitely come again.
We found the Celtic Arms by accident.A brown tourist sign gave the name with a knife and fork symbol and pointed the way.We nearly said these signs are not worth following - keep on going to the lunch pub we know! So, following a brown tourist sign we found a gem.Superb polite and helpful service with very satisfactory quality food and a good selection of beers. The outside appears a little daunting but the welcome and food are worth the brief detour. We recommend this location to anyone wanting a simple lunch through to a full blown conference or wedding ceremony through to anything that brings people together. πππΉ
