The Castle of, 8146 Ravadinovo, Bulgaria, Sliven
Whimsical fairytale-style castle with a wine cellar amid landscaped gardens with fountains & a lake.
Beautiful garden but 25 lv is way to expensive for what it is. It’s very tacky actually and many plastic elements around. The toilets are paid additionally but are very very dirty and smelly. The caffès inside are extremely expensive for a unknown reason - cappuccino is 7 lv
It is not a real castle. It is more like a set in a movie like the beauty and the beast. It is pleasant to the eye but infected with vulgarity. Also, they charge fool price even though it is out of season and not fully operated.
It was nice. But the main attraction " castel " is always close. It costs 12 evrov for entry. You can see garden, atrial place and big pond with some animals.
Very fake. May be interesting for a small child though. The price of 25lv is not worth it at all and in addition you have to pay extra for some exhibitions and to go to the bathroom. The girl at the wine tasting store was very welcoming and helpful.
I’ve been to the castle twice. It’s spectacular in its modern style. Definitely worth the £10 for the view and the walk in its gardens.
The idea of a fairy tale turned into a nightmare. Terrible decorative taste that mars an elegant castle and pretty setting (kudos to the gardeners). The palace is a very recent construction with no history, and it mixes in a very strange and sloppy way styles and decorative elements that pretend to be from different eras, all done really badly, from the invoice to the sloppy spray color. Entry is 25 BGN for a short walk around which could be just nice... but spoils it the tacky decor with poorly painted plastic on all sides. Fake cobblestones, cheap sculptures out of proportion, and random objects of cheap materials scattered around. Even if it would be free, I would feel a bit ripped off.
Absolutely disgusting business model… they make you pay decent entrance fee for the “Castle & Gardens”, and yet inside you need to pay on top if you want to enter the castle or any of the available expositions. Even the WC you need to pay on top… I am really interested to know how much they earn from WC fee per season, maybe that’s what makes the difference for their business… ridiculous. As for the amusement part - nice garden and interesting big gold fishes in the small lake. All the rest is completely fake and non-sense. Mix of styles, cheap sculptures from any kind of folclore and religion.By the way - absolutely ZERO historical meaning in everything available. So up to you, but I would skip the place and go and see whatever else around, but not this.FYI - no stroller accessHope it helps!
Worth a visit lovely views and amazing buildings.
No stroller or disabled access anywhere,l. One path starts accessible but ends with a high step. You need to pay for toilets, after having paid 25 BGN entrance fee. Shameful.
The place is close to Burgas, about 30min. The entrance for adult is 25 leva. You can find good places for pictures, nice for a walk, a bit of history facts and there also is a cafe. If you wanna use the toilet will cost you 1 lev per entry. For me this is unacceptable because I am paying 25 leva entrance. In general is good experience.
You can visite the garden that is nice but there is no access to the castel. There are a few chambers that are opened but they ask for extra money. For 25 lv to visite just the garden (and to see statuesI would say is overrated. If you like nice gardens and fountains and statues and so one... maybe it worth to visite
Beautiful place! Worth visiting. The church is beautiful as well.
Quite exciting, but a bit disorganized and on the dear side. Small bits and bobs are neglected.
Amazing, magical, different... in positive way... No word cant describe beauty of the place... I really injoyed in every inch and I recommend to everybody to taste the mystical place of Makers Imagination.
Waste of money and time. Most of the entrance fees for our family are 12lv. here is 88lv. Toilet, terrarium, and other rooms cost extra money. I dont recommend this place. It doesnt worth it.
Extremely beautiful and extraordinary place. Must visit.
This place is newly build and they tried to make it like an old castle. It has its vharm but I cant say for sure that it was worth it. Good thing is that it has big pond and some animals there too. It kind of looks like youre in a fairytale.
This is a very good castle, but I would have even got it a 5 star if they werent so many things for payment.JEEZ, even the bathroom cost 1 levaTo go.but the wooden swords were nice.
The garden is so beautiful! Weve made so many good photos!Tickets are cheaper if you buy them online.Be ready that if you want to go elsewhere inside the garden it is also not free and can be paid by cash only.Better to get here earlier if you want to get some beautiful photos without people
Stunning castle with beautiful gardens and architectural designs to it.It does not cost much to enter, however one does need to pay for many other things inside.Unfortunately theres no real restaurant to sit and enjoy a quick lunch, although there is a small shop that offers small pizza. If there is one thing I can recommed, a restaurant would be a great addition.Taking in the beauty and getting some fairytale pictures with family and friends however is easy in the magical place.
Best castle Ive been to its not an old castle its fairly new, specially built. Its just fantastic.
A very beautiful place, lovely garden and everything is well maintained. The area is great for photoshoots, weddings and a very nice walk. There are also some animals and birds that you can see as well as do some horseriding. Only thing i didnt like is the extra pay at a few locations, that were a little expensive, for what it offered inside.
Don’t go there! It’s a waste of time and money! The worst trip ever, you pay just to go around their swampy smelly pool, broken fountains, Unmaintained gardens, poorly painted walls and worst of all you can’t even go inside the castle. The tourism and economy department should investigate what they are doing there.
The €12 entrance fee only includes access to the common grounds which are smaller than what appears in photos. Almost everything requires extra payment, for example the great hall indoors or the reptilian exhibit. Everything can be seen in only an hour.
I read a review from a guy who demanded a Neuschwanstein experience for 10 € and gave the place 1 star. Well its a matter of expectation management. I mean its a gimmicky castle with no historical value whatsoever, but my kids absolutely loved it. Nice gardens, a lot of beautiful backgrounds for great photos, thick shades from the scorching sun where you can have a cup of coffee or lunch or just ice cream. Very relaxed and chilled atmosphere for a family afternoon. Not recommend to grumpy old art critics.
It is not finished once again. I first visited this place 10 years ago and albeit the progress is big, the actual castle is still under construction and you cant enter in it.One more thing - this place is a money-taking machine. Once you pay the heafty entry price you have to pay for most of the attractions nonetheless, including the toilet. Yes, they have put in a lot of work, but still...
This castle is kind of tourist trap. You pay the ticket of 25 leva at the enterance and then, when you want to vist the interior of the castle, they ask you another 10 leva. So you pay 25 leva to visit only the outside facilities. Besides this, they only accept cash. So they installed a rip-off ATM nearby, which charged me an extra fee of 8 leva.
This is not historical castle, just castle of one person dream. I liked to be there outside but not inside, because inside atmosphere was terrible. It was 3 of us and everybody had headaches right away after visiting this place. Also there were bad symbols and symbolic from not good side, which is not good for people who believe in God. Totally I dont recommend this place/fake castle to visit. At least weve been only 2 hours before they closed and didnt loose a lot of time. 1 hour drive from Sunny Beach.
A beautiful experience. Even if you only pay the entrance fee and skip all the extras, it’s worth it. Unfortunately, it’s not a winery as advertised, but they do have a tasting available. There’s also a terrarium, horseback riding, retro photos all for an extra fee. They have a cafe where you can grab pizza, sandwiches, ice cream or coffee. The castle itself is empty, it’s not finished. However, the outside grounds make for some great photo ops.
Really nice place but only 1 star as I disagree with the beautiful parrot in a cage by the front desk. He/she should be in a larger area with proper space to move.
Gorgeous park ensemble, the smells are amazing. It is a pity that there is no entrance to the castle itself. Whats the point then?
I will say just one word for this experience : Faboulos
Incredible experience! There are lots of places where you can have a drink and admire the landscapes.
It was beautiful but expensive! We didnt mind to pay 20lev pp if thats covered all the section, the 20lev is just for the entry and for each section in the land you have to pay extra if you like to view it, its a shame you cant go in castle too! Overall we thought it was absolutely beautiful but the way they charge would put off lots of people which is a shame!
A beautiful castle, like in fairy tales. Place worth to visit. I found out that the movie “Beauty and the Beast” was shot there. Really nice in the summer.
Fantasy land, was better than expected. A mix of architectural styles but that also means there must be something anyone can appreciate. The fact that one cannot visit on the inside is not such a bad thing since there are plenty of things to admire on the outside.
First I will start with the pros:1. Beautiful place2. Very well builtCons:1. Do not worth the money2. Could be expensive for bigger family3. Keep in mind that the pictures with the king at the entrance, which are promoted as "mandatory" cost additional 15 lv. each (nobody will mention that. You will realize it on exit.)
I went here with no expectations and oh boy was I impressed!!! I cannot explain what you see there. Its a mix of fairytale and architectural craftsmanship. You could take pictures of every corner of this place and still might miss a detail. You just have to see it to understand. Just go!
One of the best experiences that I have encountered on the seaside visiting this castle. You may walk around beautiful monuments and eat inside. There are plenty of games inside for small kids and it is perfect for having a good picture with your beloved.
Great place to visit. A lot of entertaintment activities, as well huge garden for taking a walk. If you have a chance visit the castle
Beautiful grounds, perfect place to visit in spring time. Tickets are a bit pricey but I think they were worth it somewhat. This can also be an events venue, stunning views.
First, the tickets are for the garden and area, the castle itself is not finished yet, though entering it is not allowed. The garden is very well maintained, but the atmosphere itself feels very kitschy and like not in place. Giant spiders, knight’s armor like from video game.May be with kids will be nice to visit, but at this stage - just one very well maintained garden.
A very beautiful place - clean, very well-kept, nice authentic music. There are a lot of picturesque little spots which can be caught in a pretty memory! We made a lot of pictures and were happy with the visit. The only thing that we didnt like was the website and the online buying of tickets - very broken, almost impossible to use it on a mobile phone. Other than that all is good.
I would say its a bit overpriced. Twenty leva per adult is quite a bit for Bulgaria, especially if you have to pay extra for everything else inside. Toilet is one lev more. Picture with a fancy dress is twenty. Riding a horse twenty again. Wine tasting twenty five leva and so on... Basically for the initial tax you can see gardens and some birds, small church and to enter the winery to see around. Even to enter the gallery costs five leva or something, let alone if you want to visit the Egypt exposition - that would be eight leva alone. So all in all, if you want to grab a coffee or a piece of cake, would easily spend a hundred leva or more for not more than two hours. I have been told that Castle hasnt been finished yet so maybe in the future there will be more to be seen. Either way, surely must visit place, at least once :Its pretty and gives a special atmosphere for sure.
Great looking gardens, nice wine cellar, but the castle cannot be visited, toilet is 1 leva, this is really annoying. The Tutankhamon exposition is 12 leva and only remakes of the originals.
Great place to visit. Its a fantasy castle that was built recently , but still definitely worth the trip. Has a really nice garden with a lot of flowers, stable, some bush statues , a lake, a cellar. Parrots and many, many more things to discover. Its definitely one of Bulgarias top attraction and a must if you are a holiday maker close by.
The castle is a charming place to explore with a very beautiful garden. Unfortunately the garden, lake, fountain and wine cellar are the only things to see in the attraction. Keep in mind that the castle itself is still under construction and there isn’t anything to see inside. Keeping this in mind the entry fee is unreasonably high, however this is a typical situation in the Bulgarian seaside. Nevertheless we had a nice time and you have time to spare, give the castle a chance.
Great place to visit in Burgas, you can take many beautiful pictures here.It has cafeterias, restaurant, and a souvenir shop. The only big downside is that you cant go inside the castle because it is always closed ( I guess they havent finished it yet). But overall you should definitely consider visiting is this place!
Amazing experiance! Very beautiful, full of flowers, waterfalls and birds. There is a small lake where you can grab a coffee and enjoy the scenery. Entrance fee is 20lv around 10 euros which is fair for what experience you receive. There is even an orthodox church where you can light a candle and say a small prayer. Highly recommended if you are in the area!
Nice castle - nice attraction for a non-beach day. Water fun-park nearby (to open, soon)This castle was built out of nothing, just for tourists - so no history, but still worth seeing.
