The chelos in Woonsocket has very unprofessional staff. Screaming and joking around with customers waiting to be seated. Calling each other raggedy and just joking around In a not so joking around setting. Very unprofessional

Always friendly service and great food! I had curried chickpeas a rice which was delicious! Nice to have seasonal changes, new and fresh.

Worst customer service..ordered dozen clam cakes. Im guessing they dont know a dozen is 12 not 6..called an claimed they were very ruid an not willing to compensate us after we paid for 12 bot 6..food is amazing but customer service Trash..keep cooks there 100% .get rid of servers an hostess

We went there for my mother 65th birthday and it was a wonderful experience the staff were great and the food was phenomenal they did a wonderful job this is where we go for every family occasion

Food was great and came hot, it doesnt take much to make me happy. Just my food come the way I ordered it and it did. The waitress was great very pleasant.

The food was good but the air was blasting. Hard to enjoy a meal when so cold. Several people commented, waitress said nothing she could do about it.

The food was great the service was great but when you have higher prices and less quantity of food that bothers me it cost me $50 for squad and steak tips we got about 3 oz of steak tips and I maybe got 4 oz of squad and a bunch of mashed potatoes if youre going to charge the prices give the portions the portions were less than they used to be and youre charging more money.

So how to rate this place...Food: wife and I had the fish and chips. It came with 1 big piece of cod, steak fries and slaw. The fish was really good. Very tasty and flaky but not over cooked. Breading was a bit greasy on the bottom where it sat on the plate. Would be better if they made it 2 pieces instead of 1. Slaw was blah but Ive actually had worse. Fries were good. Son had a burger with curly fries and said it was very good.Drinks: Yuck. Iced tea was instant not brewed.Service: very nice waitress we had a nice talk and she shared some local barber shops and other things we are in need of before dropping our boy at Mount.Overall, pretty darn good. And we didnt even get desert.It was very loud in there and the country music was a bit much. But hey I dont spend my day in there so I only had to listen for a little bit.

First off we hadnt been for lunch in a while. It wasnt busy so we figured quick lunch. I ordered clam cakes and chowder she ordered roast beef sandwich with fries. People that arrived after us were getting their entrees before us. Ok, so we waited...43 minutes later. I was thrown mine and we were never asked if we needed anything else. Then we started to eat and everything was cold. By this time we were famished, we just ate it, it was good tried to leave but after we had said something the Manager was walking over and we just needed to leave. 2starsupdated: I ordered takeout lunch, clam cakes and New England Chowda, potatoes were undercooked but I was early other than that it was delicious. updated to 4 stars

Chelos is absolutely a local favorite. Ive been eating here since I was a child and its only gotten better.The food here is delicious and usually tastes fresh. While I was a meat eater, I truly could not go wrong ordering nearly ANYTHING on the menu. Honestly, if something sounds good to you, I wouldnt be afraid to try it at Chelos.Do not leave Chelos without trying one of their desserts. They have the best carrot cake Ive ever had, and the Willie Wonka cake is one of my absolute all time favorites.The staff is almost always friendly, and they are usually very attentive.The atmosphere here is relaxed and casual while not being rowdy, even with the bar.The managers can often be seen walking around and checking on the tables to see if everything is okay, which is nice to see.**Vegans/vegetarians: Chelos has been putting a new vegan option on the seasonal menu rotation every season for several years now! You should check their site to see whats new! As a vegetarian, this only keeps bringing me back more and more, and I hope they continue to do this. They have an excellent vegan burger on the permanent menu as well.

The food can be good sometimes. The fact that employees hours get cut all the time and people are barley living paycheck to paycheck goes to show management /higher ups are self sabotaging their own business from excelling.

Definitely not like it used to be. Pasta was under cooked, stuck to my teeth. Calamari was good

The service was quick and my fish and chips and chowder was good. Great atmosphere. Clean and friendly staff. Kids welcomed. Plenty of booths. They also have a bar with stools if you like to sit at the bar. This was at the Woonsocket Location

The staff and everything was great! The food and how they can accommodate almost any request is everything. A place that is truly flexible is amazing my mom and I asked to split a dish and they did it!! With beauty! Presentation was amazing!!!

We ate their Saturday night! Everything was good. I always get the bacon cheese burger.

Great resteraunt! Really good food, multiple vegan options…which is insanely hard to find. Especially vegan dessert. Its great for anyone with any food allergies.Highly recommend.Also, Letty was incredible. Great suggestions and attentive. Gold stars all around!!!

The two shrimp scampi plates we ordered had way too much lemon in it. We could barely eat half the dish because it just tasted like straight up lemon juice. The first time i had that dish it was amazing. The grilled chicken salad portion size was NOT worth 15.00. It was more like the size of a side salad. I paid a total of 56.65 after tipping the staff. It was a total waste of money. Very disappointing.

It was nice. Food was delicious and the waitress (Jackiewas really nice. I paid $22 and left a $7 tip but she earned it 😊

Me and my family went their along with another family around five thirty on a Saturday night, we waited in our food for and hour and longer than that for my dish cause it was forgotten about. The manager came over and said to us because it was a Saturday that’s why the wait was so long never mind the dish that was forgotten and also the table behind us came in after we did same server and got their food first we will never go back their again everrrrr

The Clam Chowder and the Clam Cakes were exactly what you would expect in Rhode Island. Chowder was creamy and rich and properly seasoned. Clam Cakes were light fluffy not greasy and you could find clams. Service was not as good, they were a bit overwelmed with the volume of business. This would hVe been 5 stars but service cost a point. There were times I felt like I was being ignored.

Havent been to Chelos in ages. Glad we stopped in. Service and food were very good, except for overcooked and over battered calamari. Beer menu was good for a family-type pub. The Benny Burgers we had were especially good. Well be back!

The positives: the server was pleasant and trying hard to serve us well, experience will show her how to do her job even better.The kitchen on the other hand needs some improvement. Clamcakes took 20minutes to get to the table. The place had many open tables, they werent busy. Dinners, meat pie and shrimp scampi.35minute wait. Meat pie was tasty but leather on the bottom from being in the warmer for way to long. Winter squash and gravy were cold. Shrimp scampi, spaghetti with some seasoned shrimp on top, thats not okay. Maybe this is a management issue

Steak tip were very tough,they were replaced with another order but tough again. Coleslaw had way to much dressing. Fish and chips was very good.

Amazing staff and good food. My daughters first job and she gained a new work family right away. They really take care of each other there, feels family owned. Love the train at this location.

Service was slow. We all got cold prime rib. Not impressed with the potato skins. Mozzarella sticks lacked flavor. The beer was good, but how could you screw up a beer?

The kids ordered dessert, we ordered food. They finished their dessert. We were still waiting, and waiting, the calamari was cold! My daughter split her toe on the table, they had no 1st aid kit! Shame on management! Poor kitchen staff

Not the best experience. The place wasnt overly clean, including the over flowing trash in the restroaom.The music was super loud with a very small 9PM crowd.The seafood chowder had nothing outside of tiny bits of clams. It also tasted like Snows Canned chowder with extra potatoes.My wifes burger was large and a little raw in the middle. Steak fries were thick and cooked really well.This place has all the New England standards, just not in a well organized or clean space. Even there cake display had 1 or 2 small cakes on all the empty shelves, far from tempting. Perhaps they just put all the goodies away as it was nearing the end of meals?The Chellos in East Providence and especially the one near the airport were Much nicer. Sadly this one is not a must return to place.#RockFromRI

Normally I would give this restaurant five stars but after lunch today was sorely disappointed. I ordered a black and shrimp Caesar salad normally never came with croutons but there was croutons on it that I could not even eat so they were so hard. Another that I was with had chicken fingers that were like rocks. And the customer service or the waitress that we had was not good at all. Not a very happy bubbly personality by any means. If you want to go I suggest going in the evening and ask for the waitress Tiffany for she is the best there is The one today sorely lacking. Not in a hurry to go back during lunch time.

Our server Christy was great. My burger was cooked and made excellent. My son enjoyed his roast beef sandwich. My wife loved the baked scrod. The steak fries were very good. I loved my clam chowder. We will be back.

Monday Night Celebration Dinner for the little one getting a medal in gymnastics!! We had Ninja as our server. She was absolutely amazing!!!! Her service was impeccable!!! We will be back again and will most definitely be requesting Ninja to wait on us!!!

Food wasnt great. We waited a long time for our server to come over. It was a Wednesday evening and it wasnt very busy (only 3-4 tables being used around us.We got our order in reasonable time after it was placed. We them waited even longer for our check with no one in sight. I finally had to get another waitress to cash us out. They forgot to leave a pen and once again no one was to be found. Never going back.

The baked scrod and mushroom burger were amazing, and all the sides were delicious as well!

For my boys 8th birthday, all he wanted was fish & chips. Every time I go to this Chelos location, the food is excellent and so is the service. I mentioned only once or twice that it was his birthday to our sweet waitress and she picked up on the hint and alllllll the waitresses came and sang happy birthday to him and made him blush. Food was great, service was great, as always.

Chelos is a regular visit for my family. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly, even with covid precautions. They have a broad menu that suits most tastes, from burgers to mac & cheese to shrimp scampi, lobster rolls and a great fish&chips. Solid family fare and specials every day. Meals are prepared with care, and they are very sensitive to allergies. They also have great desserts, and a full bar.

Terrific food & delicious $2.99 margs! Our family’s go-to spot for celebrating birthdays.

We have ordered twice from this Chelos location now in the past few weeks. Each time the food was delicious! My husband got the fish and chips each time and both times the fish was perfect. I like their burgers and their clam cakes are really good. Definitely going to order take out again!

Great family restaurant. Everyone its very friendly, our waiter Eddie was awesome! Every table around us commented on how good he was! The food is very good and wide variety on the menu and specials. The apple pie with vanilla ice cream was really good! We went on a Tuesday night which was kids night. They had activities and their meals were half price. Take some quarters in with you, ask for a table just off the bar area and kids can watch the overhead train go around.

Had a last-minute family get-together and wasnt able to reserve a table for 8 people. As overwhelming as that can be, the staff worked with us; the manager tried hard to get us a table within 20 minutes on a busy day. Food was tasty and service was also good. Kudos 👌

Food was absolutely delicious, but the service was pretty terrible. At first, service was prompt but after receiving our food the waitress basically went to another table and chatted with the family there the rest of our meal. No refills were offered on drinks, none of the “hows the food? Can I get you anything?” check ins, I’ve never had a problem with service at other locations.
