#67 W.I., Ariapita Rd, Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, Port of Spain
Set on 10 hectares of land, this relaxed hotel with a colorful exterior is 4 km from Queen's Park Savannah, and 6 km from both Emperor Valley Zoo and the Port of Spain ferry terminal. The warm rooms offer flat-screen TVs. Some rooms add balconies.Amenities include a fitness center, tennis and squash courts, as well as an outdoor pool with waterslides. Event space is offered.
Carry the kids to the pool $45 dollars from 5 years and up it was awesome they love it every time
We went for their $99. Sunday Brunch buffet last Sunday around 12:30pm got to our table, and one of their two serving stations in no time. Once you make a reservation otherwise they try to seat you as fast as they can, but your left standing in the entry area until that time.Staff were friendly and helpful, food was delicious and well presented, tea and coffee are part of the buffet, water is complimentary but you pay an additional cost for juices or any drinks of their drink menu. The drive to the hotel is a long narrow road and most people would remember the location faster if you say the compound, where club Coconuts was.Overall Food & Service was excellent, downside it was personally to crowded.
Amazing customer service and food!!
First time brunch customer, $99 plus Vat/Service charges, for a couple works out to close to $300 including side drinks and service tip, no fish or shrimp in lunch, no fruits except apple and watermelon for breakfast, excellent corn soup, for that price, I would rate the brunch 8/10 including the ambience, but then it depends on your experience and taste..
Okay for $123.00 TTD this is a steal of a deal! The chicken (stewed chicken and chicken stripswas excellent, the pancakes were great and the choice of vegetarian options were great. Only improvement that I would suggest is the provision of more teacups, saucers and cutlery at the tea station.
Still a nice hotel - room for improvements which I noticed the ballroom bathrooms are very nice. Great and nice management and staff. Plenty parking for big events
Had lunch there, it was great. The food was scrumptious
Went to pick someone up to carry to the airport...not much foot traffic.
Nice hotel cool breezy setting in the mountain side of St Anns
My experiences go back over 15 years with that hotel. Bptt used the meeting rooms many times for conferences. At those times the hotel was in top shape. Presently the standards have fallen.
Excellent Service and responsiveness. Great tasting meals. Peaceful and serene location. With a little upgrade will be ready for tourism again. Ps. The have a water slide for kiddies; however, it is not being operated during the current pandemic climate.
Great service from the staff, food made you felt like home, all rooms have terrance so you can get some fresh air.
I have not been to the Cascadia Hotel for some time now with the covid 19 situation but it has been a great place for me to take my family to the water park and it has been a main venue where I would have video taped and photograph many graduation and functions, its a beautiful hotel with very nice security and staff,
I stayed here for 7 days for state supervised quarantine. The rooms are clean but very outdated. The carpet on the floor is old and the electrical sockets are without covers. The hotel needs to be renovated in order to bring it up to acceptable standards. They charged $100 USD per night plus $15 USD per meal. For this amount of money you are better off staying somewhere else. The only good thing was the food and the staff was very friendly.
Service is poor and safety standards are questionable. A member of my group was injured at their facilities and they did not have any first aid or personal care procedures in place.
Great service good food and nice location away from d hustle n bustle society
This hotel is totally underrated. The staff is so helpful and courteous the pool facilities are satisfactory..it can be maintained better tho. The restaurant and bar on the compound is a nice addition to the activities. I enjoyed my stay as the rooms are kept clean and service is prompt.
This wasnt a trip to stay, this was a trip to collect something in a village that one of T&Ts Carnival Bands created out of the hotel.Ive been to Cascadia before, but it was transformed into a very welcoming village with display booths and traditional mas characters...made me appreciate Cascadia all over again.Oh, and the touch with additional security to aid with parking was VERY WELCOMED!
Horrible interior. Dinged carpets, musty and moldy atmosphere in all the rooms, including the dinning area. The staff do not clean the area nor wash the table cloths. Everything is dirty and unkept. Low food quality and variation. Cobweb and moldy ceilings. Its a very rundown hotel now.
Customer service was ok but the girls were a little too flirty with my guy. I didnt like that at all. Breakfast with Ravi was great.
This hotel needs a serious upgrade. Fixtures and fittings are old and worn out. Not every room has certain amenities like a mini fridge. Breakfast is good tho.
There is a need to update the facilities. However, it was clean and appointed. No complaints. Food in the restaurant was well.
What an absolute waste. Called concerning about the day passes for their pool. Only to reach the place and someone is keeping a birthday party there. These people have no idea whats going on in their own establishment. What a waste driving all the way there. Smh
Wouldve been more but the mere fact that they allow rachete behaviour at the bar is a turn off, especially when foreigners temporarily resides there. And people whos knows about hospitality should be hired.
This entire area is not extremely beautiful however there are lots of things to do and places to relax around this hotel. From the poolside and gym, to the restaurant with inside an outside seating, this hotel creates a nice place for any age group to hang out. Theres also the small water park for days out with the kids.
Cascadia needs a facelift. Lighting in the carpark and restaurant is poor. Ceiling to floor needs revamping. Service was practically non existent at our Dinner Party. I have not seen the rooms.
I did not actually visit the hotel but I was at the bush mountain gym for the bush mountain challenge and it was very pleasant experience. The water slide was absolutely the best and the views of Port of Spain from up on the hill were amazing. Will definitely be back here for another challenge.
There may be some good points about this hotel but a whole lot needs to be improved.
The staff there was extremely helpful, friendly professional and talented. I would commend this place to everyone... I plan on going back soon
My experience here was a short one, but it was enjoyed. Although I didnt go into the pool, my colleagues enjoyed themselves very much while I slept in the shade. The track up in the hills offered a great run and helped us prove to ourselves how in shape we were. The view from up in the hills was amazing, its an up top feeling kinda view. The rooms are cozy, and also come with great views. It was a short and sweet experience.
I was part of an event (CASET/ELT 18 by IS/IVCF and CARIFESheld here, so my experience was even better because of the events staff. Besides that, the recepcionist was always kind, with a big smile on her face. Same about the ones serving us at the restaurant, specially one, I think her name is Pauline. And they had deserts I enjoyed.TRAILSome of my friends and I went on a hike one day, up in the mountain behind the hotel. Theres a trail theyve been working on. Youll mostly see bamboo and hummingbirds.Theres a point where you can see the seashore.DIDNT LIKEI didnt stand the water at the restaurant, but the good thing is that they had water at the convention room we were using, so I always drank water from there. The elevator wasnt workingDESCRIPTIONWater park next to itSwimming poolWiFi
Yep! it was the #tribe2019 collection location for #TrinidadCarnival... not sure if the hotel staff had anything to do with it but the service was great! Smooth simple process!
It was my first visit at the Cascadia Hotel water slides. It was fun, however the entire area needs a bit of improvement.. Paint job. The area where you leave your personal belonging should be more secured. Diffinately at least 2 or 3 outlets for you to charge your phone.. The only outlet shouldnt be at the security booth. Attention should be paid as well at the pool.. Theres a piece of tiling coming off that can be hassard to the young ones.
The food was horrible. They did not offer the agreed upon menu. The ambience is nice. I will not return
The food and staff was great... rooms need some sprucing up. But generally had a good stay.
Ambience is good. Service is excellent. Food gets 7/10 from me. Some things seem a little run down, Not bad or extremely noticeable, but it makes it up with refreshing service.
The first night there was no soap, the water was brown, there were odours all around that they attempted to mask by using bleach. There were stains on the bed sheets. The food is below par. Horrible conditions. I would not recommend there to anyone. The staff us courteous and helpful except for the old lady at reception. She has a stink attitude much like the rooms there. I would give 0 stars but you have to give a rating in order to post.
That place is disgusting. I was compelled to visit as I had to attend a conference. From all reports, it lived up to the dubious reviews I received prior.Persons who were roomed there met with stained sheets, dirty glassware and rude staff.I saw cobweb, dust and balls of hair.....yes....balls of HAIR in the conference hall. Its only getting one star because it cant get less.🗣DO NOT GO THERE! IT IS NASTY!
Very rundown hotel. It looks abandoned and a bit in need of maintenance. It has lost its luster since the days of Club Coconuts. It is too far to be viable and should be closed down. Not advisable to stay for a while.
Oh my god! Cascadia is the worst hotel I have ever visited. The overall structure of the place was dilapidated, a ten dollar beer cost 20 dollars, the food was horrible, the staff was impolite and unpleasant. The only good thing about it, is the water slide and theres also a nature trail. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody.
The water slides are fun but the seating area needs to be refurbished and better more seats and tables added.
Its okay .... I have had a few friends staying there at various times and did not get the amenities that would have been appreciated ... The Ac in the ballroom really needs to be checked ...
Great service. The place is going through some upgrades so the elevator is down. And certain things are oldish etc etc but after that Im confident u can change my rating to a 4.5 star rating. The employees are GREAT and helpful.
If you cannot walk up a million flights of stairs DO NOT stay here. We were on the 3rd floor and it was an absolute nightmare; the elevator does not work, and that should be something that is communicated to guests before they arrive. The stairs were narrow, steep and just plain dangerous to traverse, especially if you have a bad back/knees/whatever. The "new" swimming pool was a questionable green color, and the pool with the water slide was not in operation. The bathrooms, rooms, lobby, everything else are all in dire need of repair; most of the images online are from many years ago when the hotel was in good shape... Book at your own risk; we went somewhere else after a couple hours.
The elevators were not working and we were on the 4th floor, this should have been communicated prior to booking . Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Good hotel with relatively decent amenities such as a pool, water slide, ball room and others. The staff though small in number are friendly and willing to offer help if needed. The elevator in the hotel has been out of order for more than a year. However, works are afoot to have a functioning one installed. Just know if youre on the second, third or fourth floor the stairway will have you panting for breath.
Lovely get away location in the mountains. The fresh air is worth it. Avoid going in and out between 7 and 8 am and between 2 and 3 pm. Narrow busy road to get up there. Great staff.
It is certainly a home away from home. Thank to everyone who made us feel so comfortable, especially considering the reason for our visit to the country. Thank you Miss Pat for your very encouraging words.
Ive never stayed at any of the rooms at the hotel; however, Ive attended many functions at the Conference Center. My experience at all the events have been favorable. The food was very good and the service was exceptional.
Very family friendly with one of the first water slides in Trinidad. While a little dated now its still a great venue
