The Carmen Hotel in Naga

We had our photo-sharing event for the Kelby Walk Naga leg last Oct. 1 at one of their conference rooms. The whole place is sleek and clean. Id like to commend the staff for being friendly and approachable, especially to Maam Tess and Jyka of Marketing. THUMBS UP!

Staying at this place is so good but my problem is sometimes no internet in second floor you need to go out to your room to connect to wifi,so far so good,there is a clean room an AC,mini ref and tv.Rated it 4 stars I liked it!

This place is great for short stays. Very clean and spacious. The staff are really polite, friendly, and welcoming.However, they dont really have much parking at the back of their building. Hopefully they find some solution to this.

Pricey but probably the best hotel in the area. We stayed here mainly for the secure parking where unfortunately, we parked under their tree so my car was splattered with bird poo in the morning. The hotel staff helped me clean the poo, so TYVM!

We were given the suite room worth almost 10,000 cuz no more rooms available according to them. We had to wait for it to be cleaned for 20 min or so. We arrived almost 6 in the evening. There is one large bed for two. Doesnt look like a suite. We were a company of 3 so we have to pay for an extra bed. The aircon was lousy. It was too noisy. I expect a tub but only shower. Such price could get me 2 days in our favorite hotel in Manila with a tub & nice aircon, one large and one small bed for 3. And to think we stayed only about 8hrs here. Ill never stay again in this hotel.

We had a very disappointing stay. I always leave a good review for places and opt out to leave a bad review if I don’t like the place - but this hotel seems to call for it. We were in Naga to pick up my brother’s family - I know that its gonna be a long and tiring drive especially because of the traffic jam in some areas according to the news. I called the hotel to reserve and I confirmed and made sure that we might be arriving late due to road conditions. We reached the hotel tired and hungry but the check in took us almost one hour when we were the only people there! That’s a third of our travel time! I informed them my father is old and very tired from the long drive but still the girl at reception just stared at me. To top it off - shower and sink drainage is blocked, towels are dirty white (laundry problem). I will never stay in this hotel again!

It is one of the classy and elegant hotel in the city of Naga. the people bare beautiful and nice, the rooms are quite expensive than other hotels here but it is just right for their services and the experience. The rooms, good but needs improvement.

Not the best and the cleanest hotel in Naga City. Paper-thin doors, where you can hear all noises and commotions outside your room. You have to ask for your room to be serviced on a daily basis, which should be automatic, if you are staying for more than 5 days. Restaurant is mediocre on food and taste. The only thing going is the customer service - great staff and spacious rooms.

This is a fairly new hotel, but if you look closely has started to show some signs of wear and tear from the room fixtures to the lobby frames which is a pity. The lamp desk in room 203 for example are already chipped. There is also no glass door that will separate shower and toilet so the floor tends to get slippery as you cant avoid to get it wet. The management should invest in quality furnishings if they want this to meet international standards as it is a 3 star hotel at best. The service staff, however are prompt and polite. The breakfast buffet can be improved. I understand that renovations are happening now to improve 5th floor but really invest in a good contractor and supplier so this hotel will not deteriorate in a few years. Other than that the pillows, beddings are comfortable and clean. With the price, I can stay in this hotel again.

Good value because we got the rooms cheaper at Agoda (than their published room rates. I like the food in their restaurant (Baba), and enjoyed the free breakfast. Needs improvement on maintaining the rooms, as we noted some water damage (our room faced the poolon the floor and window (floor-to-ceiling type). But the room is spacious, and good for families - I had my wife and son with me and he had more than enough space to run around (Deluxe room).

Pros: big rooms, nice beds, good air conditioning, complete amenities.Cons: check in time was delayed, excuse was room was being cleaned and waited in the lobby for more than one hour considering we arrived at their hotel at 3:30PM. Bathroom drains was a little clogged so the bathroom floor is flooding when taking a bath. Shower heads heads clogged of water deposits so the water of the shower goes all over the bathroom place. For the price per night, these small things could have been improved by the hotel.

It was nice but I want the room has a carpet on it so that my little cousin can play there and I hope there was a long chair on it 😬 but it was really good and nice and pretty

Expensive yet very good hotel to checked in. With free breakfast buffet which is my favorite part when i stayed there.Little dispointed when my room "suite" a/c is not cold. But so far, the "suite" is big and good design. The lobby is good and cofortable to wait your check in time.Wifi? Yes they have but signal/connection inside my room is weak probably modem is far. and wasnt able to use. Big tv screen and not HD.they have cold and hot water in showers, complete accesories in toilet including shavers and bathing robe.They have swimming pool and parking lot at the back.Good location and accessable.

I rated The Carmen 3-stars because the suite room that we’ve got is not well air-conditioned. It seems like the air condition is not suited for its room size. Compared with the deluxe type that they have which is smaller has way far good air conditioned. For me, it matters most!I appreciated the cucumber juice as their welcome drink. It is really refreshing.Pool is superb. Nice place to dip in.Babba’s restaurant is okay. Lots of varieties of foods to choose from during our breakfast but nothing’s really that special.Staffs are friendly and nice. Well, yes they are!

They were really nice, accommodating, respectful and the security team is responsive when our grandfather was in a fuge state and wandered out our room the security team was kind enough to escort him back even though the food at the time was take out I love the staff the most :)

Overall our stay was great. The only sad part was their pool and viewing deck. The pool was not that inviting, in our 5 days staycation i not once saw anyone swimming in the pool. We were a bit hesitant to swim because it seemed like the pool wasnt maintained and the water wasnt even flowing...The viewing was not open to in house guests. The chairs were not even arranged to accomodate anyone who would wish to enjoy the view. The bar was closed and the entrance to the deck was locked.The laundry bag that was supposedly free to in house guest was not. We were only given only 1 laundry bag for 2 guests...However, the hotel room was up to par and the staff were amazing!A must try for those who are seeking for a nice staycation with or without kids.Try out Baba Social dining for an astonishing taste of local Bicol dishes.Highly recommended. We would go back although this time hoping that the pool would be maintained well and the viewing will be open.

Great hotel to stay if your looking for one in legazpi. Huge parking space at the back of the hotel with swimming pool and friendly, courteous staffs. Clean and comfy rooms with lots of amenities for a decent price. Will definitely stay here again the next time i visit legazpi!

Very nice and clean just be prepared to pay extra for visitors for swimming or eatting in the common areas. Other than that a great place

Not a bad hotel but it is a little older on the inside.. a bit overpriced for its age... in saying that, in room service is available and the food was great... staff are very profesional and helpful.. Breakfast was good.. Room was comfortable but does show a little age... Shower water presure was pretty low and just warm.... again it is over priced compared to other hotels in the Philippines of the same advertised standard..

Wonderful experience! Will be staying again. Breakfast had authentic Filipino to Americana. Service was top notch. Can honestly say that the staff has been well trained. Clean comfortable beds and rooms. Everything you would want for your money spent. Based in the heart of Naga. People are wonderful! Top notch. Thank you so much!!

Left my room.in the morning. When i got back at 1pm they did not bother to even clean it. Fridge was not working properly and the breakfast is extremely bland and tasteless.

We booked 2 rooms for our wedding preparations and extended one more night after the wedding.The place was perfect for pictorials.The rooms are provided with complete toiletries which includes vanity kit, comb and shaving kit..This is the only hotel with flat iron in every room.Hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly.

Probably the best hotel in Naga. Rooms are nice and spacious, staff very friendly. The rooms could use a tad bit better maintenance and the breakfast is aimed at the Filipino guest.

Fairly new hotel, so room was decent. Breakfast is all you can eat and if you are not in the mood for hotel food you can go for a short walk to the city center or Magsaysay.

The place exudes sophistication and elegance. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Our bed was very comfortable. I especially love the pillows! I would like to come back and stay there again soon!

Wonderful hotel. Cold A/C, Hot Showers and clean rooms. Staff are attentive and speak good English. The restaurant serves a comprehensive breakfast buffet and ample choices for dinner. Bicol Express with pork belly was my favorite. We would stay again if in the area.

I stayed at The Carmen for a short period of time yet they made me feel like I’m home. The staffs were so accomodating, the food was superb, the ambiance of the hotel is so nice. I’ll definitely recommend this to anyone planning to visit Naga City.

The hotel itself is fine, with good lobby and restaurant. However, the facilities like the gym and the pool are not. The pool floor is full of stains and the gym is cramped it would be impossible for more than 2 people to use it at the same time. The staffs are helpful but they always go after you to sign a form—to use the pool, the gym etc. Worse, they physically prevented me from leaving the hotel after I checked out because they say they are still checking the room. They even asked me to sign yet another form. Haaay

The hotel lobby smelled good and had a nice ambiance. Our room was clean and spacious; and the beddings were soft and comfortable. The restroom was also clean. The breakfast served at the restaurant was delicious and had lots of varieties. The staffs were polite and attended to my needs immediately when my son had a stomach ache. We also tried the pool and we absolutely had fun. Overall, our stay in the hotel is really superb and we’ll definitely come back! :)

Our group of 6 went there yesterday to eat (i really like their food, and im fast becoming a regularbut their band was playing inside (the band usually plays outside). Because its a small place, their music was an assault to our ears. It was irritatingly too loud. We couldnt take it so we left. Too bad because were a big fan of their mexican buffet, but i guess we wont be coming back until the ambiance (where we can have a decent and relaxed conversation over mealsimproves.

Lovely, spacious, and very clean room that absolutely smells divine. CR was clean as well. Our room had a great view of their pool which the kids tried and loved. :Superb breakfast with different dishes and beverages to choose from...served fresh and piping hot. Net access was great, fast and no lags. Staff was friendly, polite, and very professional. Will definitely stay there again! :)

Really good service! We were up at 2am from jet lag and they got us food. Also the free breakfast was super good lots of variety.

stayed here for one night with family. the rooms are nice. they are quick to address issues that we raised.

nice and clean rooms...plenty of parking space...fast wifi...but i would suggests they put anti skid mats on their shower area for elders safety....

Buffet breakfast has varied choices; mix of Filipino and western. Clean, spacious rooms. Courteous and helpful staff. All these despite some construction still on-going.

A mixture of Western and Filipino ambiance that will catch the taste of everyone. Located at Centro Naga (just perfect), the hotel does looks clean and will provide you good hospitality.

Stayed there during the soft launch (still some construction going on?but the rooms them selves were amazing.. I dont know what the bedspread was made of. I think it was clouds.. it was soooooooooooooo comfyWill stay there again for sure

Ive learned that the company who manages this hotel also manages quite a number of other premium hotels all over the Philippines and it shows! in their service, in the way they handle complaints, how much thought and effort they bring into serving their customers, etc, etc, etcIf you are looking for a 4-star hotel experience when staying in Naga, then The Carmen Hotel definitely tops my list!
