Empire Casino, 5-6 Leicester Square, London WC2H 7NA, Santiago
Bright, modern bar with sofas in a casino open 24/7, showing global sport on big screens, plus food.
Great place to watch the NFL
Terrible. Yes, they have TVs with sports. Staff is terrible. Rude and inconsiderate. Food...terrible. honestly, if you can find ANYWHERE else to watch a match, go there.
Beautiful spot to watch football…very classy
Way too crowded and service was terrible
What a great place for sports loved the atmosphere 👏
The service by the waiters and their manager is just disgraceful and disrespectful. The waiters are all rude, slow to provide their services and the food is average as well.
Youd very much prefer going to the ONeills that is 2mins from this.
Excellent place for sport lovers. Amazing sound and video. The staff is very friendly and serves really good food. ❤️
Great set up and location however let down by rude staff some other issues. I wanted to go here to watch the F1 whilst I was in London. I checked in advance if I could book a table and whether it would be played. They confirmed they would be playing it but I couldn’t book a table. We arrived to see that they were only playing the F1 on a few small screens that a lot of people were huddled around. They only play sound for what’s on the main screen. I asked if they could put subtitles on and they refused to do it was hard to know what was happening. They then were saying they needed to clear us out by 3.30pm due to football and other people had booked the tables. Just before the F1 had finished they were ushering us out and not even letting us watch the end which was near to ending. This caused a commotion with everyone who was clearly less than pleased. We asked if we could just see the end as there were only 2 laps left. The staff then took it upon themselves to turn off the F1 so we couldn’t see the end. The staff were extremely rude and were unable to read the room as to who wanted to watch what. I will go elsewhere next time. This was extremely petty disgraceful behaviour.
My favourite place in London to watch Champions League matches - great pub food, pitchers of beers, loads of screens, and you can head downstairs for some Blackjack after the game. Gets a good atmosphere from fans going, make sure to book first for any big games
Nice place with friendly staff and good service 👍
Great staff, great atmosphere.... But all of that is irrelevant if you have the most uncomfortable seating in all of London.
Huge screens. Great security. Good place to watch the big game.
Refused to put England, losing the Ashes Test, up on the big screen. Excuse- Not popular enough.
Lots of space, decent sized screen and well priced drinks for the area
Would be zero stars if possible. Probably not the best sports bar in the world.I tried to visit The Carlsberg Sports Bar at this casino this evening with my friend, however the bouncer at the entrance refused to let me enter - he gave me a prolonged blank stare, making me feel really uncomfortable, and did not respond. Eventually I asked what the matter was, and he asked me where I was from. When I responded, he continued staring at me weirdly, accused me of taking drugs, and said I could not enter. When I asked the accompanying bouncer what was going on, he was blunt and rude.I have belatedly checked these reviews (and on the casinos page), and have seen similar remarks made by other reviewers over the years, particularly regarding the bouncers, so I dont have any faith that appropriate action will be taken.Ive also sent a complaint in writing to the casinos complaint email address. You have lost me, as a potential customer, and I recommend to anybody reading this passage to avoid this venue.
Awful service and attitude …… spent £300 in 1hr 30Told to leave because we didn’t book 5pm game !!Fiona from Kenya lovely!!
This was a really great place to hang out with friends. In a great location. The drinks and food are reasonably priced too and if you have casino membership you get a discount on it. I recommend the pot stickers/dumplings. Its open 24/7 so convenient for a day or night out.. the screens are all positioned so where ever youre sitting youll be able to see a screen showing the sport. The staff are friendly too. Ill definitely be back. Recommend.
Its what it says on the tin. A bar with screens showing variety of sports. On the upside - it stays open when all other venues in LSQ are already closed - mecca for night owls and bartenders who had closing shift.
Carsberg themed sports bar situated in the empire casino in the upper floor. Plenty of TVs showing sport to keep you occupied while you enjoy a drink
Great environment to relax after a session on the tables. Quick service, reasonably priced, remember you get discount with your members card.
Booked a table for the England final online, £180 was taken from my account for a table of 6 people @ £25 each, cant work that maths out!Didnt get a confirmation email for the booking so called up to find out that even though the money was taken there was no booking in my name and there was nothing they could do!Every other place will hold a table whilst on the payment page, instead this place has scammed me and countless others by taking multiple payments of £180 each from innocent people whilst only giving a few reservations.
Seriously ? Cancelling the France vs Germany 1 day before the game due to exceptional circumstances. Tel me this is a joke 😡 ! I don’t recommend this bar they don’t respect the fans at all. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT !!!
Last minute cancellation of reservation for the euros due to staff shortage means total incompetence from the management. Will never go there should it be the only place broadcasting sports in the universe
Went there with some friends to have a little gamble and something to eat and drink. Quite a good atmosphere actually.
5 sports at the same time & a great international sports crowd, unfortunately the service leaves some to be desired, no apologies eitherAlso side note - staff wear bodycams, slightly uncomfortable atmosphere #raiders
Excellent pizza. OK selection of beer. Prices on good and drink are appropriate (but necessarily any bargain). Lots of sports are shown on television, including American Football. Service was somewhat lackluster, particularly given how many employees where working. It is a smoke free inside. The environment feels like a Casino (which it is). That can be good or bad depending on your taste.
Great place to watch the football - went here for a Champions League game and there is a great buzz with big screens and high volume so you can hear the atmosphere and the commentary - they serve food and drinks by table service but the service is slow and the numbers of wait staff is limited
Unfortunately not a nice place. No atmosphere at all. Completely overrated. The staff is friendly, so this earns the 1 star.I had the slider burgers. So uncreative.Everything felt so stuck in the bad nineties if the last century.Wont come here again.
Just like the advertisements that you see on TV, if Carlsberg did epic sports bar it would be something like this. This bar is located on the first floor of the Empire Casino located in the heart of Leicester square. The food is great, the service at the bar is quick as there is many places to buy drinks and the atmosphere is electric when either the football or rugby is on. In most cases it is highly recommended that you book a table at this place before you arrive as this place can get very busy during major sporting events. The highlight of this sports bar is the major TV screen that they have which comprise of around 10/12 small TVs. This is great for watching sports when there is a large crowd as you cant miss any action.
If you looking for a modern bar to watch a sorting game I strongly recommend this. The beers were reasonable for the environment and the TVs large, sound was great and the atmosphere was on point. Oh and the staff amazing. It is possible to book a seat online for an affordable price for the larger games.
Decent sized sports bar in Leicester Square with reasonably priced drinks. Tables can be reserved in advance for sports events. The main screens could do with an update though (see photoas the action is a bit disjointed between screens.
One of my favourite beers on tap (Carlsberg export), decent food at a reasonable price. All the sport on 2 jumbotron TVs. Only negative? Get there early or book a table if there is a big match on. It gets busy with paying customers and freeloaders trying to watch the match without even buying a Coke. Cheapskates!
Very good and a lively place. Good food options for both Vegetarians and Meat eaters. You can also enjoy casino here. There are slot games, table games etc. We all had a good time and would love to visit again.
The prices are very average for a casino, however the cheesy fries are worth a visit! Best Ive ever had!Nice atmosphere, who the number of Tvs showing all the sports is a bit much.
Great wings, "smart salad", and beer, with really great prices for the heart of London. Open really late with huge screens for all your favorite sports. Whats not to like?
Great place to watch football games, especially if theres more than one on at a time! Also tasty food options, and nice drinks. Make sure you bring ID though, as its inside the casino!
Great place to have watched the world cup. Fabulous staff, friendly and extremely accommodating.Food was OK but unhealthy snack bar food. The nachos were better than those served at The Roadhouse but the chickenwings were returned.
I wish I knew about this bar before. It is the best sports bar in London. Providing multiple screens, good drink deals, and comfortable seating. These are the main essentials for a sporting night out. However, due to the venue being so good it is perfect for drinks as well.Even better as a member you get discounts for the bar and casino. The service is impeccable with staff always helpful and giving advice on areas to sit on busy nights. Areas can be reserved, which you need to be mindful of for big sporting occasions. The drinks are excellent with an array of cocktails and great happy hour deals. The food is well portioned and often more than required. I particularly enjoyed the chicken wings and the sweet potato fries are a real highlight. This is definitely one of my favourite venues and is surprising considering the location in a premium area of London.
The Carlsberg Sports Bar occupies a small space within a casino so it is a little underwhelming, I expected the venue to be more impressive.I booked a table to watch the World Cup Final last week. I dont normally frequent sports bars (or any bar for that matterbecause Im not into sports and I dont drink alcohol. My friend was visiting from overseas so I thought he would enjoy the experience. So we arrive and are allocated our seats by a manager/supervisor he gives us two options. Option 1: uncomfortable seats facing the main screen or Option 2: comfortable seats to the far corner of the room with a side view of the screen. After a few minutes in the uncomfortable seats we ask if we could sit elsewhere as there were other empty seats in the bar and we were categorically told NO. I asked why and wasnt given a reasonable or logical explanation. Reluctantly we were offered suitable alternative seating but the exchange to get there was unpleasant. I can only liken it to the interaction one would have with US immigration; cold and uninviting. As this is a hospitality business I found his approach completely unacceptable and it ruined what would have been a great afternoon because all the other staff were great; especially the waiters and the reception staff. I expect the gruff and surly approach works a treat with rowdy revellers but it was unnecessary in this scenario.Another unfortunate minor event was our pitcher of water contained matter other than water and ice 😩
Fully licensed sports bar inside the Empire Casino. Completely packed during important football fixtures. The bar serves food and drinks at affordable prices. Sections of the Carlsberg Bar can be reserved. Understandably, during busy fixtures, there are a few minutes delay. There is table service. Door security is enforced, please cooperate with the staff. Thank you.
Went there to watch the 6 nations and it was quite good.Beers are about £5 (slightly more than advertised for), 50 chicken wings about £35 and are quite good but the spicy ones were overwhelmingly hot.Make a reservation before going there as the free tables are hard to come by and dont have the best view of the screens.Staff is helpful and nice but service at the bar is slow as it is undersized.Overall, a nice place to watch sports with friends and have a conversation without promiscuity and screams.
Busy, livey bar in the Empire Casino at the top of Liecester Square. Well worth going to see an international or European cup fixture here. Countless screens and bookable table area make this a worthwhile sports night. Book on line in plenty of time.
If you’re out with a group & wanting to watch a sporting event (ours was a premier league gameit is worth booking in here! Reasonably priced food & drink, big screens everywhere & the casino is just down stairs for half time. Our mates will be blown away if you take them to this little hidden gem. Just keep going through the building as you walk in & you will come to it eventually. Well worth booking if you can.
Food (although tactically saltyand value only thing to save from only 3 stars, service disappointing and having 9 screen matrix to be cool instead of giant screen was annoying when watching sport. also dont go thinking those sockets are for your use as youll get a wrist slap for pinching power instead of pay to charge unit in lobby 🤷♂️
I have been a member here for a few years now. In my opinion its the best place in London to watch live games, including American sports like the NFL,NHL,NBA, etc. I have watched here both the Champions League final and the Super-Bowl final, both some of the best experiences. For food and drinks here you have your typical American sports bar choices for reasonable prices, especially if you show up with a group.
Good place to end up if the pubs have closed and you dont wanna go to one of the many depressing clubs in central but still wanna carry on the night, eat some chicken wings and watch whatever sports they are showing on the screens. Not much seating as they probably want you to be out on the floor, throwing your money away on red or black.
This is a really good venue to watch any sporting event, there are plenty of screens and theres always a good atmosphere. Try the 50 wings challenge, its harder than it sounds, and be sure to choose your sauce wisely.
Many TVs but not enough near seats. Would like the rugby in more accessible places. The beer was crap, BUT the personnel were just fantastic AND they bent over backwards to make me feel happy
This is easily the Best venue and the biggest screen i have found in London to watch the Football or any Sport of your liking for that matter . You simply will not be dissapointed. Beers are surprisingly well priced, the service is very good and the atmosphere is buzzing on match day and whats more its situated right in the heart of Leicester Square so easy to get to. Win!
