Established indie haunt that plays host to popular and budding talent, and has regular club nights
Amaaazing!! Went to a gig: 3 bands, heavy metal!! Totally in awe! Recommend 10/10
Iconic music venue. Great Pub downstairs with a room upstairs with live music all through the week. Get up close to the music in a small venue. Check out the listings for some really decent bands; some you might not expect. Bar is not too pricey and staff friendly and quick to serve. Support the small gig venues; support music and support locality.
Great small venue for beer, burgers and bouncing around.
The upper room that we booked had a few issues when we went for my friends birthday. Only 1 arcade game although we were told thered be more, a very wonky foosball table, and worst of all the speakers were blown out so we couldnt use the karaoke as it could be barely heard. The guy who tried to fix them said this happens all the time, so I dont know why its not being addressed. The place has potential but definitely needs some fixing up.
A great little venue, this concert in particular was very passionate and so the smaller space made it very hot and tight - make sure you’re hydrated
Ridiculous approach to the client - ladies behind the bar had no idea when or even if the kitchen opened that day. The manager informed me it was about to start serving in one hour. When I came back, I was told that the plans had been changed. Eventually, they refused to take my food order
Nayoka, what a diamond on the door, female on the door, made me feel so safe xxx thank you.
Great, friendly staff, well situated close to local pubs and venues. Well priced and clean
Amazing pub great prices for London. Bouncer on the door was a legend, Kent a French person his portable charger
What used to be the Camden Barfly, The Assembly has established itself as a hotspot for new and exciting talent, as well as the biggest acts getting back to their roots. With friendly staff, a private karaoke room for hire and great happy hour offers, it is a really great place, a staple of Camden.
Under 300 people… Under 300 people at a concert played by a band with 20,000,000 monthly listeners, and tens of millions of social media followers.twenty one pilots you put on one hell of a show in such an amazing venue. However… Security teams outside were refusing entry to genuine fans with genuine tickets due to an overestimation of people attending and that to me is absolutely appalling. They were also asking for ID on the door which I do understand, however there were fans who were 15 without any identification as we were not told when we purchased the tickets that ID was required! This lead to even more people being unable to attend the evening. The amount of people in tears…Definitely something that isn’t going to hang easy for the venue over the coming weeks.
Just seen Twenty One Pilots here. Genuinely unforgettable night, but soured by the thought that there were fans outside with legit tickets who weren’t allowed in as the venue was overbooked. If I’d arrive a couple of minutes later I would have been turned away. Shameful behaviour by the management team here.
Nice pub with a good selection of beers and wine, friendly staff, and small but good music venue with good sound system,
Friendly atmosphere and fantastic sound. Ive seen Lola Marsh here and Ill be back for sure.
The bouncers realise they cant hold any form of establishment and therefore this review is concluded. Trust me when say they are more speci
Great food and a small intimate venue for gigs
Had a pretty good Friday night! Not a big fan of the £8entre fee for what you get but hey that’s london. Hayley (I think that’s her namewas awesome, really top notch bartender! Surprisingly poured another drink when one had spilt, and always noticed us waiting in the queue.Only downside was security not telling our friend that she wouldn’t be allowed to reenter after going for a smoke towards the end of the night .
Good vibes and very friendly staff and security. Add some good music and I had a great night
Great little pub. Friendly staff. Nice lunch & good beer, etc. Clean facilities 😎
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, fair range of beers and lagers, good food ( burgers are really good).Good value and live music.
The best pub in Camden, estrella on draft and tunes to get you going. Barry from Bristol loved it.
i was tonight ar Camdem Assembly pub for a DJ set. i arrive at 1 am and thought there was 2 hours left. but at 1.50 am they decide to stop the set, and closinh thé pub at 2 am.i Ask te be refound but this was not possible.it was my first Time here and i was disguted but by this less if considération...
Went last Saturday to see some up and coming bands. Good bands spoiled by a terrible sound mix from the desk. Shame as the crowd were enjoying the music but from the back of the room the guitars especially were, at times, indistinguishable from each other.
Great pub , a little expensive compared to our local but nice atmosphere. The toilets are downstairs and very steep..The Assembly Rooms upstairs..brilliant intimate music venue .
I went here for my birthday party. We were a large group and so I opted to hire out the playroom. I was keen to do some karaoke, and for the length of time we had in a private space with our own private bar, it was more than worth it. We actually had a little mix up between the Camden assembly and another venue, but Im so pleased we stumbled upon here instead! The communication with Claire from head office was quick, helpful and very informative, there were so many options, and when asked about food allergies they were able to be accommodating. On the night, the female security guard was very sweet, as were all of the bar and security staff. After we finished our private party, some of us opted to stay for a dance at their club night - we were not disappointed!I would love to come back again, the only criticism I would have is the volume of the karaoke backing track, but Im sure its something that could be adapted!
Attended a great gig with a a variety of acts. However experience was let down by the bar staff!! One female in particular , They were more interested in being on their phone than serving people and when they did it was like I was putting them out. They were miserable and kept giving dirty looks no customer service skills at all, totally in the wrong job!!
Went for a company staff party, starter i had was a bruschetta and it was pretty good, i also tried my friends potato wedges and they were very bland despite it having garlic and rosemary on top and the aloli sauce tasted of nothing, main i had was a margarita pizza which was ok wasnt as flavourful as i would have hoped and felt lacking and a little dry from the pizza base, dessert however was amazing but they put to much cocoa powder on top but overall its ok food for when u get drunk i guess, its definitely not a food u would go for sober tho. Drinks are pretty decent, but their staff seemed uninterested in there jobs and felt like they dont care about the customer services to serve us, tho they might just be tired from a long shift hopefully they will be happier if i come back next time.
The atmosphere is incredible, upstairs you find a nice club to dance and downstairs you find a exciting mix of pop music. The staff: extremely polite and well trained, professionals. My new favourite place in Camden <3
Stopped here for a couple of drinks during the day & it was good little spot. The drinks were reasonably priced & the toilets were clean.
Lovely! Great music and great atmosphere. It has 2 different rooms, with different counters and different kind of music. My friends and I really enjoyed the pop/rock music on the ground floor.
Fun place, nice atmosphere and great live music with gigs taking place upstairs (room comes with a smaller bar with all the necessary alcohol). Downstairs bar with enough room to dance, and nice staff. Will need to come back to try their 2-7 happy hours on the weekend!
The bands and concert was GOOD! But the technicians failed and whoever is in charge of organising the concerts there, should be fired. No respect for the bands and the waiting audience. The venue is very small, so it should be fairly easy to organise the working wires, microphone and amplifiers. Quite disappointing overall.
Tribe.... Top Draw DJs on rotationZero TA.IMakoto and Cleveland WatkissBest post lockdown party vibes had by all
Theis venue in camden is a pub downstairs and upstairs has a smaller bar with a dancefloor and a stage. Downstairs bar does cocktails (hibiscus margherita is highly recommended if you like something sweet). Security are professional and friendly. Bar staff also friendly. Thres a cloakroom before you go up (£2 per jacket card payment only). Unfortunately we went for a particular even - Stormzy vs Wiley Party, which was not as advertised. We bought tickets in advance (£5 eachwhich said there was a 9.30pm start but when we arrived (at 9we were told it didnt open until 10.30pm. If we had know there was a different start time we would have planned our time differently. Then when we finally got up, the DJ did not play any grime music just commercial Rnb, rap, hip hop, etc. We stayed until 12.30 waiting for some grime (which we had come specifically for and chose this night over another grime nightand the uninterested looking DJ played only 1 grime song (Vossi Bop by stormzy). Why advertise a night based on a grime clash and then play no grime music ? This is false advertising.
They barley had any alcohol free options at the bar. It was also terribly dark inside (like even darker than most barsthe place upstairs where the concert was held was very cute.
Camden pub and live music venue, short walk from Chalk Farm underground station. Quite dark inside but this adds to the atmosphere once tables are cleared away and the dj gets their set underway. A mixed crowd and attentive table servers if you didnt wish to get up to the bar for a top up. Upstairs music venue hosts a wide range of upcoming and even smaller but established acts. Function room available for hire.
Staff were super friendly, and the venue was great for music! Its a small intimate place for a gig with a bar right at the back. Saw Tessa Violet there on her London tour.
Playroom private booking:Highly recommended for nice sized fully private room! We had a great time and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive.Food and drinks were awesome and room amenities super cool with a private bar, would come again!
Mainly loved this cos they were serving burgers from burger beyond. Above that though the service was very good and selection of alcohol really diverse
Outstanding burgers, and sides, great quality. The cocktails were amazing, not too weak nor too strong. Best of all is the live music, where you can discover new bands and artists. Loved it! Great for all ages
Formally the Camden Barfly - has seen many act make their start in the road to stardom.Great sound - lights are good when the engineer can be bothered to use them to there best effect.
It became my 1st favorite burger in the whole world 🌎.. deserve 10/10 👌🏼❤️Another branch of burger & beyond
Nice pub with two floors. A small scene upstairs for concerts and club nights. There is an entry fee on some events but it is always very cheap. Prices are good overall.
Really cool and funky establishment. With friendly staff. They also currently have the best burgers in London by Burger & Beyond
Great bar with tasty food and a surprisingly awesome performance space upstairs. Lots of different music showcased here. An understated gem of a venue!
Good venue for live music. It has had a makeover and changed its name from the Barfly. The beer is good and serves trendy burgers. Upstairs is the original stage and doesnt look as if much has been done to change it now it is called the O2 Assembly, which is a good thing.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, comfortable and relaxed in the downstairs pub area , upstairs there is a great venue for listening to live bands
This is a cosy enough pub, very convenient for the Roundhouse if you are going to a gig. BUT I have never eaten such greasy food. My friend didnt finish her burger because the bun was drenched in oil (on the top!and the meat was cooked very rare (would have been OK for my tastes but they didnt ask and it was rare for a lot of peoples tastes). I ordered padron peppers and they were dripping in oil. It was a shame because otherwise it was an OK place but the food was very bad, even for standard bar fare.
Here for the Dear Reader concert and decided to try their grub before the show!Well, even if the show sucked (which is impossible as Dear Reader is Brilliantthis would’ve been a brilliant evening as the Burger and Fries were one of the finest I’ve eaten in a LONG time!!!Succulent medium-rare chargrilled gorgeousness sandwiched by loads of fresh fillings! The fries which looked very plain & simple were spectacular and the surprise of the meal. Will definitely return for the food 👍🏼
Theres better burgers and better pubs in Camden. Beer selection is good if a but pricy and served in plastic glasses. Burgers are alright but are pretty expensive for what they are.3 and a half maybe.
