Good burgers and fries, really hits the spot.

It was excellent! The staff were very friendly. They explained and recommended about things in the menu because that was my first time- there’s so many good options.It was delicious 👌

Good selection of burgers and interesting site. However, I was recommended it by several people and I didnt find the burgers special. Also the fries were disappointing.

After 2 hours waiting, my order was cancelled. It was a delivery. Thank you Butcher

For a restaurant called The Butcher they sure did butcher our order. We ordered and waited 2,5h for delivery, and quite some futile phone call attempts were made to ask about the status of our order for the restaurant didn’t pick up the phone.We also received items we didn’t order. Quite unprofessional, honestly.

Three stars but only because of the friendly staff. Burger was mediocre at best. Fries, just boring. Ordered the spicy chicken.

Disappointed !! We waited 10 minutes outside because they forgot to remove the sign "closed" on the door. When our burgers were ready, they realized they forgot to prepare the fries (frozen, not homemade). The music was way too loud and toilets were not clean at all. Only one great thing : the burgers !

Best burger in Amsterdam! A must to try ! Although the restaurant is pretty small but the food quality is superb! And the location is very close to the Albert Cuypmarkt! The price is reasonable too !

The Butcher is the best dirty burger you will get in Amsterdam. They are open late, and taste even better after a few beers on a night out. 10/10 would recommend it to everyone

The butcher burger is fantastic! Ingredients and the preparation are top class! Great location, perfect place to have a lunch after heiniken experience, as the butcher is 5min walking from it! Well done to the guys in the kitchen, very professional and friendly! 10/10

Burger was passable (bun was nicely toasted but meat was overcooked), chips were very disappointing. As a cheap junk food stall it would be ok. As a premium burger place it simply doesn’t pass the test.

With my wife and daughter we went for dinner in this hamburgers restaurant where we had already been years ago and located in the De Pijp district of Amsterdam with only a few tables inside as they work a lot with take-away service and we ate the same hamburger. The Butcher with cheese with raw Aberdeen Angus beef, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, gherkin & the burger sauce very good abundant flavor with excellent grilled mozzarella as a side dish.You order at the cashier, you pay and then a waiter brings the orders to the table the staff very kind welcoming competent smiling fast service and expensive prices but adequate to the quality of the hamburgers

Randomly came across it, all I can say is great find and value for money! Super tasty burger, served by very friendly staff. I appreciated bring asked how I would like it cooked. It came fast and went down like a treat. 11 out of 10!

Nice burger from nice beef meat but a bit expensive.

I ordered Butcher with Cheese with extra jalapeño. Burger was juicy and meat was good. Burger bun was fresh and perfect. Fries were also really great, but I really want to try their sweet potato fries the next time😋

Loved the smell of the flame-grilled burger. The sweet fries on the other hand were a bit burnt and didnt taste good.

Good size burger,but the meat should have been more juicy.and the bread was kinda dry.Its good but €15 for a burger with fries is a bit too much for a burger thats not that special!

When I went to the butcher I was expecting a high-end burger but was sadly a bit surprised that this is more of a fastfood style restaurant. For these price you easily find better burgers in Amsterdam!The chicken nuggets (or chicken popcornare very tasty though.

Very good meat tasty! Hamburger size larger than other places it makes difference. Soft and enough cooked with blood inside. Different of other places in Europe where hamburger is very dry.Fries with mayo was good as well.

Visited the restaurant after a long day. The shop is not far away from the city centre, around 10 with 15 minutes. Its located in a quiet peaceful street with many shop that hosts every morning a flee market.The restaurant itself is quite small around 4 tables so sometimes it might be difficult to find a seat.The menu has a variety of burgers including beef and lamp meat while they have hot dogs and salads. The prices are good with average 15€ you can enjoy a good amount of food ( the price includes burgers and French fries). The staff is quite helpful.The waiting is around 10 with 15 minutes and it is self service. Also you can choose between ketchup and mayonnaise for your fries. However, the burger is not so juicy. That is quite unpleasant as the beef was medium to well done. Finally, I believe that the burger should be medium rare and not good in order to be juicy and flavorful

Well we came because of recommendations. It is a good burger. But! Its not that amazing. As a burger lover I like my burgers more juicy and meaty but dont get me wrong! Its good and will be a great lunch but not a burger you will remember in any amazing way (hope you can understand what I am trying to say)

weve visited in late evening, so street market was gone, theres a little place with 10-15 seats of all 4 tables. weve got burger sets on menu.. in my opinion a bit pricey compare to others with less juicy beef.. in case you like much fries, i recommend this shop..

This place was recommended by a friend of mine and we where glad we ate here. This place hands down has the best burger in Amsterdam. Will definitely recommend this to all and will be coming back.

Best burger of the city in my opinion. Good service. Ask for the butcher with cheese and sweet potato fries. You wont regret it.

Silence of the lambs was great choice and also sweet potato fries is different taste to try. Theres also private party inside.

The daddy was delicious. It can be busy, but you can order while waiting (Only problem is that sometimes the burgers are ready sooner then any seating becoming available). But still worth it 😄

Nice burger grilled to order (medium or medium well). Fries were a bit disappointing and the seating is a little tight, but the meat was flavorful and reasonably priced.

Ate here for the second time already. What can I say. There are better burgers in Pijp, for my taste at least. And their fries are American style, now Dutch style, which I couldnt help but notice. If you like your burgers bloody, that maybe a place for you though.

Nice burger, good fries, but very hot and smelly place due to the open kitchen. Also, they might let you know before you pay for sauce that ketchup and mayo are free...

Burgers, yes, excellent burgers. If you are hungry and close by dont think it twice. Its not a place where youll spend an entire afternoon but you wont regret. Look for the butcher "secret parties" as well ;). Approved by quiquinn.

Amazing burgers and a great selection. The beef is fresh and tastes great, the toppings are also amazing. This is not a place for a quick eat, it takes time to get the burgers because the make them properly with patience and love.
