The Butcher in Dübendorf

Dropped by with my GF on a saturday 14:30 oclock (12.11.22). Waited over 60 Min to get the burgers (the place was half full, so no excuse for that). The Burgers arrived and they were really bad. The meat was cold, the cheese was not molten and fries were ice cold and not properly fried. The starter (avocade Tomate Salad costed a whopping 8.- Swissies was too small and no taste at all.The excuse of the waitress was that two new cooks were working, one of them was also a waiter and the other one was an apprentice with 16 years of age. But she mentioned that it is not because of money saving reasons. Yeah right!Sorry "The Buther"-Team. Bad Service, Bad Food and flipping a coin in our own pocket instead of making customers happy with a nice meal brings you only bad critics. 60 Minutes of waiting for a really bad burger and ice cold fries is just a no go. Wish we had more Customer Service driven thinking here in Switzerland.By the way that specific saturday a lot of others customers just left the table after waiting over 60 Min. We were at least so nice and stayed till the bad burgers and the even worse fries arrived.From my part "The Butcher" is out.Kind regards

Top Service, nice Burgers

Ordered a medium hamburger. It came as what I call rare. Sent it back. The replacement came only slightly less red. Choked 2/3 off it down. Maybe its just the American coming out, but I cant recommend this place.

Very stunning place located in the quite end of the streets. The ambience was good and the place looked cozy. I sat indoors rather than outdoors. There was some lovely decor of meat knives and meat mincing machines used in the older days on display and it added to the ambience. Loved the chicken burger that we ordered. It was delicious and the chicken was tender. Even the burger buns was divine. The presentation was good which added to the flavourful decor. Good friendly service. If ever I am in Zurich again will definitely visit to try the exotic chicken burger. 🙂 😊

Stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner. The place was quiet but only because we were in between meals. The variety on the menu was good although I only had a burger in mind. Great choices to add to your burger to customise your meal.The burger was delicious! As were the chips on the side.The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English as well.Highly recommend if you want a tasty burger

The burgers was fine - its hard to make bad burgers anyway 😀. But both me and my wife found the meat wasnt great. The fries are quite good.The service was good and polite.

Very good burgers. Delicious meat and crispy burger bun. French fries also was crispy and salted as much as needed.I liked my Aperol as well.Everything is good balanced in this place, dishes and drinks.

The burger was ok but not worth the very long wait.

When it is written open until 11pm then be open until 11pm or change your working time to 10:30pm on google. Might help some ppl to not lose time to go there.

Good food, very nice customer service. Leon was very nice and we had a really nice experience. My english is not very good but he spoke french so it was no problem. 10/10 i recommend!!

I didn’t really like the limo. The interior is OK, but nothing really special though. And I would mention the same about the service. However, I really loved burgers, cooked with medium rare meat which is excellent!! French fries and sauces were great as well! If you prioritise the quality of food over everything else when going to the restaurant - it’s a good choice if to go there.

A good burgerplace with some basic variations. Fries are nice especially with their house made sauce. Def. Recommended. In addition you can order the burger as a vegan option which is pretty good aswell. Taste was not bad, nothing spectacular but a good place to visit with friends. Pricey aswell.

Tonight was one of many visits to The Butcher. One of Zürichs trending Burger joints, we are always impressed with the service and food. In the last year they have increased their vegi burger menu hugely!! Its really good option for those also not looking for a greasy burger. Tonight the server was by herself and really hustled! The cook even had to bring food out!! The service is always friendly and in summer they have outside seating. Definitely recommend!!!

I am absolutely impressed with everything about this restaurant!The food, staff, and atmosphere are absolutely lovely. I love how all the people working there seem to genuinely enjoy serving the costumers and its always a pleasure to come back! LOVE IT, cant recommend it enough!!!

It was a great experience me and my friend had in this restaurant. We had our dinner tonight and the service we got it was pleasant. Fabienne(waiteressshe was so nice to us and she was very helpful while we were ordering food. All over everything was superb and we are hope to see everyone soon and enjoy our next meal.

The location and interior is nice and spacious. The burger itself has excellent bread and toppings choices, very unique with the pickled cucumber which I didn’t think I’d like but the actually patty (cooked exactly as requestedtastes and feels as if it was frozen… unfortunately cannot recommend a place as a burger house if they don’t have hand-made fresh patty’s… if they change that and make it fresh, this would easily be a 4-4.5/5

Delicious burgers, both vegan and meat options are available. The meat burger comes by default medium, which I find a sign of quality. The burgers are mouthwatering and so are the fries. I will be back

I had an uber eats coupon so I decided to try The Butcher out.With full objectivity, worst fries I have ever had anywhere. Bad enough that I couldnt even eat them. And they charged 7.- for them.The burgers were alright but serving fries like that means they dont really care about the customer. Never again.

The food was for 1 star but i give 5 only for Luna! The waitress that she made all the best to ensure that we are happy ❤️❤️She also reminded me that my burger has to be well done as am pregnant and is very important and i had forgot to tell her myself. Thank you Luna so much! Very kind🌸🌸

2 Asians came far away from home country and wandering around for an usual meal for dinner. bump up to this shop and think to have a quick bite before leaving swiss... order 2 burgers and it just wow us so much... not sure about the "cow" shop which other mentioned. but we really surprised with the taste of the burger with the juicy patty and tasty cheese... will definitely recommend others to give it a try.Had a lot of cheese fondue, swiss authentic meal as well as fine dinning around for more than 10days here in swiss. but these burgers really shock us...

Fantastic burger in Zürich. Meet was very good, also French fries. Tap water is free, mayo needs to be paid.

Cozy burger joint in the middle of Zurich (old city). Rustic old tavern ambiance. Service was super fast, no wait, food out in under 15 minutes. Iron bar-stool chairs were amazingly comfortable! We ordered the cheeseburger with fries which was cooked perfectly. Meat was fresh and bread was toasted on outside soft on inside, no seasoning, but sauce made up the flavor. Reasonable price for touristic area.

The burgers are very nice, best lavacake I have ever had. Took a little longer to get the burger.

Wide choose of hamburgers even vegetarian of good quality. You can find different restaurants in the Zürich area or request the take away / delivery option.

I think this was the best burger I’ve ever had. Very helpful staff, definitely a must visit place when you are in Zurich.

Very good burger and the fries were amazing. I had the spicy burger, and my only suggestion is to ask for less sauce. The gentleman working there was very polite and friendly. The prices are just as high as every other restaurant in Switzerland. Definitely worth trying when in Zurich.

The restaurant is located in Zürich Nierderdorfli. The interior looks nice. We went on a weekday with two persons without reservation. There were already many people inside but they still had space at a big table. Staff was really friendly and the burgers are wonderful. We had the chorizo beef and cheese. Not only the meat and the vegetables are good, also the bread is great and very tasty. The fries and beer were good too. The only problem is now that we have to go there more often.

Excellent burgers. Love the concept and the deliver. Service can be a bit chill. But it makes up in the food they deliver.

One of the best burger places in town. Close to the touristic Niederdorf and Limmat. They provide healthy (a.f.burgers with fries competing with world famous Belgian fries. The menu is rich and has vegetarian and vegan options 😉. Also you can find different lemonades!If you are tired of old places or want to have a regional fast food in Zurich, you should not miss Butcher!P.s. The place has a nice terrace for summer time.

Good burgers and very tasty fries. The decoration is cool and the waiter was kind and attentive. I did not like that they charge an extra for the mayo; should be given for free, as ketchup is.
