The Bull - Pub in Sironko, Uganda
Just had lunch at the Bull normally very good but today very disappointed, staff great very friendly. Ordered the crab and shrimp cocktail £11 very watery and tasteless. 😡
Well what can I say about this place. Staff rude. Bought 4 drinks 20 mins later bought same drinks and got charged an extra £6. Would not reccomend to anyone place stunk of fish.
We had a wonderful day, and the wait staff was extremely friendly!!!! And the food was really delicious!!!! amazing great afternoon....!!!!!
Sorry, not very appealing to start. The adult Burger meal was just too small for the amount to pay at £16.00. The first roast meal (beef was just awful, just a warm meal and not piping hot, I suspect food warmed up and with green_black potatoes. The second attempt took a while, with a large lump of fatty beef on top??
Our evening started out well but soon went downhill when told to move abruptly upon food being served. Having sat at the table for two hours, waitress said we had to move as someone else has now booked the table. Our food was just being served. Duty Manager didnt deal with the situation professional either. Had we not paid for the food, we would have walked out.One staff member on duty that was lovely was Margaret. Hard working, compassionate, lovely personality. This lady deserves recognition.
Simply put the team on tonight absolutely smashed it, I have gluten and milk intolerances, meaning usually I cannot eat much in restaurants, however the staff all went above expectations in making sure I was catered for. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection and the moment that made the night was the Vegan ice cream (no restaurant has anything other than vanilla and thats rare)... the chef literally came out to me and showed me the different choices I could pick from as I was nervous to risk it just incase a mistake had been made. A massive thank you to Ren and the rest of the team, what a perfect way to end the weekend! We will be back :)
The food is made fresh and wow, does it show! I had the Angus steak as a treat after a hard week and it was absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection and the flavours were sublime. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and made me feel right at home. If I could give ten stars out of five I would!
Warm welcome, great food and drinks. Thoroughly recommend this establishment
Great place to go over the school holidays as it is not as busy, food very good!
High quality food in a strange corner of Bracknell. The pub has been there centuries, but the street and venues around it are very modern. Ordering through the Youngs app is easy once installed, although it feels like it wants too much info.
Regularly come here for a beer with my mates, the selection of drinks and food is lovely. Vicky has always been very pleasant and her jokes are on point 🙂
Nice food and beer. Fish and chips are not the best Ive tried but everything else was fine. There is an air conditioner that was vital the day we visited the town center. Highly recommended place to visit
Excellent atmosphere, food was great. We will definitely be visiting again 😊
Always friendly and a good place to stop off for a quick drink. The food menu has changed in the last few months. Food prices also seem to have increased as well.
Lovely pub with lovely staff. Excellent service and great jokes from Vicky. 10/10 would recommend.
Nice pub, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Good variety of drinks.
Decent town centre pub & restaurant. Decent selection of lagers and wines. A bit on the pricey side given its location. Quick service, amazing cosy seating around a huge fireplace. Large beer garden & huge restaurant area.
Great atmosphere. Excellent bar, with top Old Fashioned cocktail
I love that this building is listed. I worked on the lexicon site and seeing how this pub just sat there untouched while bracknell town centre was being remodelled just wondering what plans/ideas they had in mind for it.And wow they have gone that extra step. But what makes this place a worthwhile visit is the friendly and helpful staff. The food here is lovely. And they have an amazing range of drinks to choose from including cocktails.Lovely cosy front end of the pub nice to relax have a drink and snack or few drink if its the weekend ;then past the bar the new development into the pub restaurant.Highly recommended. Also look up the pubs history as it has a lot of secrets 😅One is quoted on the wall to the left when you walk in. Very interesting
Aaaaamazing burgers!!! So tasty, tender and full fo flavour! And great atmosphere with nice interier. Definitely coming here again 😁
Great atmosphere in the pub, great food, with excellent service especially from Kuba - thank you. Highly recommended and will be back soon :)
Terrible experience... No greeting at all.. Found a chalk board with my name against it at the table. 10 mins later, still no staff visible. Walked around to try to find a staff member to order drinks... Couldnt find one! Tried to download menu, scan menu... No WiFi! Got up and went to Tangs, 2 mins away. Got greeted, drinks etc in under 5 mins.
Tasty and filling food, fish was very generous. Attentive service
Nice place in Bracknell to have a real ale. Knowledgeable staff were serving when I visited which was in the middle of the day during the week. Wasnt busy but imagine it gets much busier on a weekend. Will go back.
Awesome Place.Feels very kindly.Good crowd.Nice menu.A tad bit pricey.
Nice pub in Bracknell, walked past many times so decided to give it a try. Nice interior, good menu with lots of internal space and external seating. Menu looks good, the burger I ordered was somewhat small and lacking for the price so wouldnt order this again.Portion sizes are lacking however from my burger and partners salad.Friendly staff, nice warm atmosphere.
Kuba was an amazing waiter, he waited patiently for us made us feel welcome, it was a pleasant experience I was travelling from London to Bracknell I would highly recommend this pub, for anyone travelling to Bracknell Kuba a great host accommodating polite helpful.
We had a great night and The food was fantastic. Staff was really attentive, we had Kuba as a waiter and he really took the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome. Would recommend!
This place is absolutely beautiful. I wasnt expecting a pub to be so pretty! The staff here were lovely, very spaced out for covid.I went for a quick catch ups with my friend and had a great experience. Great music too!
Went here to celebrate our daughters birthday but we were all very disappointed. This used to be nice traditional pub. Now it been modernised. Much of the menu is vegetarian or has chilli in it which my husband cant eat. I had venison sausages which were very peppery. However, the fish and chips looked good, should have ordered that!
I hve been to this pub/restaurant last year 2021 for lunch. I would say this place has good food, nice ambience and service was good. Worth having a try. U can just drink coffee or beavrages, without eating.
It was really nice.Cocktail list is a bit underwhelming which makes the price of them disappointing....I didnt bother getting one as all abit to run of the millStaff were lovely but super stressed so I took a star off in the hope the boss gets more staff. They clearly need it.
Old and New pub in the Lexicon Bracknell. It has been extended with a stunning add on structure with very high ceiling and lots of natural light. Plenty of seating for dining. We went Sunday lunch time and it was very busy but the service was excellent as was the food. It is a Youngs pub so a pint of Winter Warmer went down well. Great choice of burgers as well as Sunday roasts and traditional faire such as fish and chips. I had the Katsu chicken burger which was very tasty. There are plenty of veggie options as well. The food came quickly, was hot and well presented. A very nice way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon. Thank you.
Awful service from a very Curt young waitress I sent burger back that was Luke warm and pink inside told 10-15 mins remake and asked do you want it it shall I cancel it! Cancelled then 5 minutes later another waitress turned up with cancelled burger almost bemused that I did not want cancelled burger, friends dining with us were told we’ve run out of pots so you can’t have any ketchup or mayonnaise with your order!!I have eaten at lunch time here previously and all was good would never go back in the evening again appalling food and service the only saving grace was a lovely polish waitress
Food and drinks were top class
My wife and I had a lovely fish and chips in the restaurant when we were visiting the UK, the waitress from Poland was so polite and helpful. Good customer service. The price is a bit high but guess its down to overheads. On another occasion we took our 4 year old grandson in for a fanta and bowl of chips, he loved them. The restaurant is nicely decorated but the old part of the pub could do with a lick of paint, chipped plaster and holes where sockets and items had been removed, the 4 year old commented first. Funny old world.
Had Sunday roast and service was great but Dessert was simple also we ordered Expresso Martini but a bit off.
Lovely place, great decor and friendly helpful staff. We popped in here after a shopping trip in Bracknell and found the place to be very up market with a good selection of drinks, we didnt eat but saw plates coming out of Sunday roasts that looked very generous portions...........the one thing I will say is that the prices are on par with London.....so not cheap, just seems a little to premium for where it is, but still a great place.
The pub is very clean and has loads of seating inside and out. You have to order on the app, this works well and is easy to do.The food was very tasty and well cooked. Was expecting slightly more choices on the menu. The prices were quite high for the portions
Competition in the new Bracknell city centre for eateries is very keen now, and The Bull is a good choice if you like a traditional pub with lots of history. After three visits I would say some meals are good, others just average. Service could have been better. The Bull is a spacious, very clean pub, the toilets are very good and the menu is constantly updated.Did I say what a great IPA, Proper Job is? And its served here.
Its a nice building very new.. the only thing that wasnt great was that the fries were undercooked
The food was superb. We arrived without a reservation and were seated instantly. The pricing was very reasonable, the ambiance was cosy and comfortable. The service was very good. We ordered our starters and were very surprised as we were not expecting the excellent quality and taste. The mains were cooked to perfection and good sized portions. The wait between meals was quick. Thank you to the Bull team
Service was very good to be honest. I thought the staff seemed rushed for a Saturday night but the food was on time and was delicious. Pleasantly surprised and I will return.
Had lunch with my wife, we both had the pie and mash. The food was great very enjoyable and the service was excellent. Will eat here again when we visit the Lexicon.
I love the ambience of The Bull, especially with two sections for either of a casual drink/meal in the cosy original pub or slightly more formal in the larger, modern dining room extension. The wine list is fantastic, especially the Shiraz on the full bodied red wine selection- in fact we have visited on multiple occasions for this. I’m not blown over by the food, having dined here several times in the past few months. Sweet potato fries are standard and good, beetroot hummus with crudités a little watery and bland (and a few more sticks wouldn’t go amisswhile the butternut squash wellington I ordered yesterday was incredibly dry and if I’m quite honest not worth the price of £12.50. Pastry overcooked, carrots limp & the other vegetables bland and dry. A vegetarian gravy may have helped but not saved it. Great presentation, love the plates, the cosy nook we sat in and the dog friendliness but the food just wasn’t quite good enough. I would love to see the food increase in quality at The Bull as it’s such a lovely pub and local to where my partner and I live. From now on we will be visiting for drinks only.
Great wine, lovely food, friendly and welcoming staff, lovely place with a few great private snugs, also available to hire. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. Fish finger sandwich for lunch was delicious.
Delicious food, reasonable prices. Lovely ambience, excellent service, helped with gluten free requirements. A definite thumbs up!
Go for the fish platter from 5 p.m onwards, great architecture, nice jazz music , great stop after a movie. Big step up in Bracknell! very enjoyable. try the Erdinger non alcoholic beer, lovely.
Really nice modern looking pub. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food absolutely amazing. Highly recommend for anyone in the area who fancies a nice drink/meal and appreciates good quality food and drink.
Nice interior. But after 5 days of opening, still NO food and a very limited choice of beers. The only lager available was £5 a pint. Food, when it arrives, will not be cheap either.
