The Brougham in Victoria

Came here on Sunday evening for a drink, toilets were a disgrace absolutely filthy no soap no tissue ! Water leaked all over the floor. Complained to the bar staff (not their faultand said its been like that for ages !

Lovely staff, nice pub and decent prices. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, which you dont get much in London. would reccommend.

Sorry guys. Walked in shortly after lunchtime on a Saturday and we were the only customers. Not what I would call a pub. Poor selection of draft ales, sorry I meant to say no draft ales.

Nice bar with friendly staff. Serves beers, wine, spirits and cocktails. You can also get something to eat here

Its okay place with convenient location. Good meeting point for outsiders.Pizzas are tasty.

The Brougham is located on Wliton Rd, a stones throw (4 minute walkfrom Victoria Underground.Walking through the aesthetically pleasing arch of flowers that serves as its entrance you are greeted by long row of cushioned seats, low tables and chairs.The chairs set opposite the row of seats and table are a little too low and can feel uncomfortable but that is minor inconvenience.The welcome is and attention by staff is positive and with a good selection of food and drinks there is something for everyone.The pub has a little but of an identity crisis though as food and drink prices can vary from standard pub prices to fairly expensive, even for central London.Personally, I think this is a charming pub which has a lot more character than other pubs located around the area.Although prices can be high the staff have kept me coming back for more.Enjoy!

Highly recommend taking a look at the "lowest ratings" first for health and safety. A friend was taken poorly from the food and drink.In addition, a prejudice owner who likes to threaten and remind customers that her surname is "Brougham". Absolutely awful behaviour.Unable to select Zero stars.

Decent selection of beers and cocktails. Jazz usually playing. Chilled vibe.

Great beer, great food and great decor and atmosphere. We sat outside which is when you really get to experience the Pimlico vibe, with busy commuters are walking past you its nice to be able to enjoy a drink and relax.

Lovely pub where I had to arrange everything. Chasing up a bartender for drink, finding my own table for my dinner, chasing staff for ordering food.I am ok to be bossy if needed but maybe there are people who need more attention than I received here in December.Christmas decoration was nice.

Would greatly recommend the public set the review filter to "lowest ratings" and read those through first.Had we done that perhaps a health/hygiene scare would have been avoided. And there doesnt seem to be a manager - just a very rude owner.Luke

Super Service. The best fish and chips we ever ate. Many sorts of beer, wine and cocktails.... Still water for free.... And also the other foods were very very good

Very nice, calm bar to visit towards the end of the evening. The sunny disposition of the bar lady from Seattle capped off a lovely evening. Shes certainly an asset to the staff. Very helpful and most convivial.

Staff were friendly, but the food was disappointing and overpriced. When youre paying £10+ for everything, theres plenty in the area that will do better (and for the love of God if youre bringing an Italian, dont get the Mediterranean platter). Also make sure you ask for tap water, because a bottle costs more than in Cannes.

A decent pub with good beer and friendly staff. I arrived mid afternoon on a Friday and lots of seats but by the time I left around 18.30 it was getting busier. So may not get a seat in the evening. Still worth going though.

Very bad experience. The place is dirty, sofas are very old and shabby. Toilets are not cleaned. We were waiting our food very long time, but what we got is almost uneatable. Very expenssive for that kind of quality. One star for staff, who were nice and drinks, which was okey.

Really great front of house, didnt try the espresso martini but will next time. Looked very relaxed post work (earlybefore the theatre and managed to squeeze in post theatre too.Really need to renovate the loos (menswhich were, frankly, a disgrace. The only reason for 3*+ is that the atmosphere is pretty enjoyable.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and great service. Only reason Ive given 2 stars is the food quality - both me and my friend ended up with a bad/upset tummy after having eaten there. Which has spoilt our experience. Its a pity, as besides this its a lovely place. Not sure if they had a one off issue with the food quality or if this is a bigger problem, but Ill definitely not be considering eating here again.

Really nice employees, very good food (I had the home-made hamburger and my husband had the fish-and-chips), good service,...My only issue was the lack of light at our table. I like to see what I am eating even if it tastes good !

Got very short measures on two spiced rum and cokes. Complained and the barman very condescendingly told me the measures had a line inside.No they dont: I looked when he left. I then complained to the manager who without questioning anything gave us both free drinks.Judging by the way the barman was laughing when the manager gave him a bollocking I suspect this is house policy.Be warned.

I have asked for a burger, was very desapontes. The burger came after 40 min and very well done. I have asked for medium. The second time the bunny came could. I was so hungry and I refused to eat it. I asked for my money back and when the burger came a black guy was questioned the waiter do not leave the burger for me to eat. I found it very rude. The service was awful. This black man wasn’t polite at all. Not recomend it

Genuinely could be the worst pub lunch Ive had in London. Other reviewers have said the place smells - they arent joking, this place absolutely REEKS of pee.The chicken and bacon burger I ordered came without bacon. It had a massive blob of cheese entirely concentrated in one spot on the side, half falling off. The chips were cold. The £13 listed would be a massive rip off even if the bacon had been delivered. A 10% discount was given as an apology but £11.70 is still a massive rip off for this.The people I visited with ordered a pizza and salad, and they also disliked these.Avoid this place!!!

Just had one drink on a week night. Staff were ok. Very comfortable couches and good choice of beers.The toilets were horrible. Broken tap, grimy around the edges. Looks like it gets really messy on the weekends. Still a cool place for a drink though.

Staff are friendly, until a new member spilled an entire pint of alcohol all over my mother. The manager refused to comp our drinks and wanted my mother to pay for the drinks or receive a 25% discount. The manager was rude and uncooperative. DO NOT go here.

Nice pub with a good atmosphere, the only thing that lets it down is its rather dirty. The toilets are up there with the worst youll find in a London pub and the bar is always sticky. Apart from that its faily decent. Ive never eaten here and wouldnt out of choice but Im sure its fine.

A delight for little Pub we had bangers and mash the Simply Delicious the mashed potatoes were to die for. The waitress and heavy set black woman was sweet as pie she told us all about the area gave suggestions for visitation she just made that visit delightful and her British accent was marvelous. I would go there again but Im back home now in the states

Smells awful as soon as you walk in.Staff stole from me - waiting police report.Sofas ripped.Standard drinks. You can find a lot better in Victoria/Pimlico.Good point - bouncer is a really nice guy.

Not bad really. Food was alright. Staff were mostly friendly. Beers were a bit limited and if Im honest, I wish Id walked a bit further down the road. Nothing bad to say about the place, but nothing outstanding. Safe bet for most people I would imagine.

I went into this establishment with high hopes given the luxurious exterior however my evening quickly descended into a nightmare.I entered the premises in good spirits which almost immediately changed based on the damp and putrid smell which greeted me.I went to order an alcoholic beverage (almost all the options where not possible according to the unpleasant bar staffand sat down.The sofa had numerous holes in it and several stains, I quickly moved to a table. When me and my elderly grandmother sat down on the seats provided mine almost immediately collapsed. To put this in context, I am not overweight in any stretch of the imagination. I was aghast and when I saw two staff members marching over to me imagining I would be getting profuse apologises. Instead I was blamed for their chair breaking, threatened with paying for it and told to immediately vacate the premises. I had my shopping from the day with me. I was physically stopped from retrieving my shopping and forcefully pushed out of the fire exit. Thankfully, my grandmother was walked out whilst still not being able to retrieve the shopping.I pleaded my case to the doorman to just be allowed to have my bags brought to me. I did this in a calm and reasonable fashion however was greeted with vulgarity and aggression from the management that I was not allowed to even stand on the public pavement.I went back today to see if it was possible to retrieve any of my purchases due to it leaving me significantly out of pocket.I dont write reviews normally however I am stuck in a quandary about what to do next.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff are incredibly rude and incompetent. There is also no manager to air your grievances with. Which is a shame as Ive been there before and enjoyed it. However, I went there recently and ordered a margarita which costed £10 and was tasteless. It seemed to consist mostly of ice and water with a hint of lemon. It didnt come in a cocktail glass and had no salt on the rim. When I asked for salt I was given a surly grimace with half a shot glass full and told to do it myself. I informed one of the waitresses my cocktail was undrinkable and asked her to try it. She refused and shouted at me that it was a different cocktail, which didnt make any sense. After remonstrating with her she swapped my margarita for a beer which costs half the price and refused to give me the money back or even say sorry. I would give -5* if I could due to surly, rude, and incompetent staff with no manger to be seen. I will definitely not ever be going back.

Friendly staff and passable atmosphere, but I felt moved to write about the food - it really was very poor. The worst thing was that there was really no care put into it. The chilli con carne was virtually flavourless. One to avoid.

Idk why people give bad ratings based on light etc. Its a great pub. Cosy, delicious food (lamb shank meat was falling of the bone :), great service and nice overall atmosphere. Being in my mid twentys I enjoyed the current music (yes I also like traditional music from many origins). Toilets arent the greatest but its not harrods or a fancy resturant, its a pub. Poop at home. Food was awesome. Dont go pub and expect master chef facilities, and fancy tiny meals.

Nice location but the techno playing over the loudspeaker doesnt suit the locale or the clientele

Nice bar, good food, but layout is atrocious when it comes to serving a crowd during peak times. Youll often be waiting for 10 minutes or more to be served... As well as having to push your way through a narrow path just behind the bar to get back to your seat/standing area.

Rude hostile service with the bartenders serving a minor with a coke even though they had no license to do so (which we didnt know until later and when the owner found out he got very rude and vulgar saying we needed to leave even though they had already noticed the minor looked under age but took our hard earned money anyway and two workers stood by our table and practically threw us out like we were criminals. Disgusting treatment and I have never been so embarrassed . Even when we left the owner watched us down the street in disgust as if it was our mistake instead of tending to his colleagues who chose to serve the minor in the first place .

Went for a cocktail with a friend.When we ordered it took 3 barstaff over 15 minutes consulting a book to make them.When they arrived they were completely different (we had ordered the same).My friend was obviously given some low alcohol version of what I was drinking, but we were still charged£20 for it.I have pictures of the drinks and a obviously frazzled barman.We wont be coming back!

Stumbled in here by chance looking for a quick pre theatre dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the cosy ambiance and tasty food. The service was warm, kind and quick.Great place with a rustic feel and modern music!

Having read the reviews we thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt.....however....I wish we had gone with first instinct....we were sat in a dark corner with low mood lighting....which is ok for drinking but not dining. The food was basic.....no mint sauce to go with the lamb....no butter for roles.......powdered packet mash ......the dessert menu had 5 items listed but only one on offer...chocolate brownie........the service staff only came over after we asked them to clear the plates away......more interested in chatting amongst themselves. Not a good experience.

Lovely pub, a short stroll from Victoria station. Good seating & nice place to catch up. Good variety of drinks. Wish the staff were a little friendly though...it doesnt hurt to smile & be nice.

A cool place with loads of beers and wine, but as majority of English pubs - smells like an English pub. Crowed any day of a week. They have a nice VIP area which you can book in advance. Good location as well.

I live nearby and noticed it had recently changed names so went in to see what it was like... very glad I did! I ended up staying a lot longer than planned - such a fun atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Nachos are also a winner!

I read these reviews a lot, but never contributed, i hope this helps some! I saw this place on google maps and visited. I ended up being told to leave because my friend was laughing to loudly. Ive lived in the Islington area for 15 years, met my mates in various places in London and never had any problems.The barman (*the rest of the bar staff seemed finewas incredible. We, just the two of us, were told we were being chucked out. I asked why, and he said your friend was too loud. I asked what he had done, and he told me he had laughed loudly. When i quizzed if there was a policy on laughing loudly, he told me the manager had informed him to show me out........I asked to speak to the manager....he was not there!!!I know, I know, you read these crap reviews all the time, but I will never visit this pub again. The whole experience was so unnecessary! Dont go there!

This pub is quite small and cramped inside, and it takes a while to get served, but if youre lucky enough to find a seat it is a great place to spend an evening with spends. High prices keep me from coming here too often, but Ive always been happy when I do come here while passing through Victoria.

I always walk past this place when in Pimlico and it looks really nice from the outside, and whereas the inside is quite nicely decorated, it certainly doesnt match the service provided or the food served.The beer is overpriced for the type of establishment, and the food is terrible. It looked and tasted like it came out of the freezer not long before, and it was awful. I had the fishcakes, and they were so over powered with dill, I couldnt finish the food. The salad was very sorry looking, and the chips were greasy and absolute bog standard.I will actively avoid this place in the future, with little atmosphere and poor quality everything, I dont know who would ever go back.

Changed hands quite recently and it shows - vastly improved. Comfortable, lively atmosphere, reasonable prices. The food menu also appears to have changed and there seems to be a wide variety of different things on offer. Would definitely recommend - good for work dos, parties, etc.
