The Brew Pump in Asheville

Neat little place! We needed a place to hang out until our Air B&B was ready. While its odd to have a bar at a gas station, the backyard area was awesome. Its fenced in and there wasnt much of a crowd, so we could let our dog off leash for a bit & he had a ball! Most drinks were $4 & they even had a good berry seltzer!

Best random neighborhood bar!

Laidback local hangout with a big backyard with benches, corn hole and cheap and local beer. Easy walk from our Bear Creek neighborhood.Shared space with a gas station that has a beer cooler and convenience goods. Great hangout to connect to Westville locals.

I hate to give 5 stars because they will be too busy for me... Yup 5.

What an excellent after dinner stop! Got some samples of beer that brought me to something I loved. Had a super fantastic bar tender. The space was beautiful. Heaters outside kept me warm. I loved the fact it was in a gas station too!!

Bring your friendly dog to socialize with other well behaved dogs in the large fenced outdoor area behind the main store. Quality beer is served on tap and regularly updated for the less well behaved humans. A food truck is often parked out front in the evenings.

usually excellent experience at the brewpump … however i was fueling up at the diesel pump, and got to $7 before i realized it wasn’t actually dispensing diesel into my tank. when i went inside and explained this to the man behind the counter he was an absolute dud, wouldn’t make any eye contact and couldn’t comprehend what i was saying. snooty attitude and kept saying “you’re confusing me MORE”, even though he kept asking me to explain again. so, speaking to the customer service of this one guy… not great.

Favorite place in west Asheville. The patio is killer.

If your idea of a good time is hipsters chain smoking cigarettes every two feet, youll love stopping by here for your favorite food truck...which you wont be able to enjoy for the clouds of disgusting cheap cigarette smoke.

There’s a lot to like about this place in a vacuum (cornhole, beer, gas), but given the number of other local places with better service and longer hours, this place suffers from just not being good enough. Unless you need gas or cigarettes, do yourself a favor and head to Haywood Country Club or The Malvern instead.

I dint want to say this place was good because I font want it to get crowded but best local spot for sure

Best draft prices in town! Great staff, too! Very novel that the bar is in the gas station, love it! Big, wide open backyard for kids, dogs, corn hole, etc. Lots of picnic tables, great for groups or to just sit by yourself. Really easy to meet people and pet dogs here.

When you simply must have your favorite $3 pint and have it now (depending on what they have on special-call and find out), this is the ONLY place in Asheville who has that deal. Also, so many times I get a pint at some joint and theres 3/4" of head on it. In some locales that might fly, but I want a full pint (sucks to have to say to someone, "Could you top that off for me?"You never have to say that to Adam at The Brew Pump. He pours the perfect pint.

As noted in the question I havent been back in three years. As I recall it was a fun place, but I usually go to the Double Crown since I live a block away.

I absolutely love this gas station/bar. It has an awesome environment. You can buy gas and convenience items, have a drink, or get an awesome meal off one of many foodtrucks that park there throughout the week!!

Sweet little hangout right off Haywood~ always decently priced beer and right near everything!

Nice, chill place with good food trucks and great service. Small but good selection of beer with daily $3 pint specials. Chess, checkers, cards, and dominoes. Good selection of take home beer, but the take home beer can be a little pricey. Outdoor section - lots of smoking, and cornhole. Dogs (leashedwelcome inside and out. Nice crowd.

I stop by here about every day when i get off work and staff is always very friendly and the store stays clean & organized.

Cool little unassuming brew spot. Great place to be outside. Look out for the Bun Intended food truck that hangs there sometimes, really awesome Thai and you can bring it back into Bens, no worries!

I didnt even know this was a thing until I visited my brother in Asheville. Its a pretty great concept unless you start thinking too hard about the whole "drinking and driving" problem in this country.Anyway its a pretty nice little spot and they have a fenced in area in the back to play games or hangout and eat.

Gas Station / Bar combo with a grassy area for games and food trucks.... only in west Asheville. This place is low key and great spot to hang especially when its warm out.

Adam and Lauren are the best beer slingers ever. Limited selection, but constantly rotating. You can buy snacks and smokes right there in the store. Interesting clientele.
