The Breakfast Barn in Port Colborne

Breakfast Barn is my favourite joint in town. My spouse and I decided to try someplace new for brunch. Despite todays snow storms, their cozy little ”barn” was open for ready-to-serve. Our waitress was great and very attentive. That said, be aware that you pay for coffee refills (it says so on the menu, but I missed that part). I ordered my eggs over easy, and they cooked them to perfection. The bacon was thick, the breakfast sausage was some of the best we ever had, and the potatoes served with onions hit the spot. Props to the chef, she seemed sweet, and you could tell she cooked with love. 10/10 would recommend Breakfast Barn!

We found this place by chance while visiting this past weekend. I could order 90% off the menu. We had eggs benny, and kids had hamburgers and stuffed French toast - EVERYTHING was very delicious and fairly priced. The place was full and had a warm and cozy feel to it.

Basic breakfast fare at okay prices. I tried the pierogi style fries. They were good. Sour cream was watered down to squirt out of a bottle. I would have loved thicker sour cream.

Incredible experience!!! Perfect breakfast. Full portions at a reasonable price. Spectacular traditional meals. Try the Pierogi Home Fries, they are a delicious Breakfast Barn exclusive (see photo). The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and friendly. Our server, Laura, made us feel welcome and at home, almost like we were old friends. The location has ample outdoor parking. The washrooms are very clean. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Fantastic, classic Benny with the special perogy-homefries.1 star lost for a really poor cup of coffee,, and she never asked to top up (with a fresh pot perhaps?at any point during the meal.Would return.

Rustic feel. A nice dining experience. Food was good as well as the price. Can get pretty busy. Was a power outage when I was there, but they were efficient and polite even tho they had alot of orders to catch up on

Food was good but it took so long for it to arrive....like 45mins. There were some locals in there and we knew they were regulars as they didnt even need to take their orders they already knew. I mention this because we sat down 25 mins before they did and they received food almost 10 mins before we did. Not cool. I get you need to take care of your regulars but not while bumping other orders so they can eat first. Overall I would say they have good food but make sure its not busy cause you may be there for 2 hours! Due to service I would not recommend! Hopefully your regulars keep you in business!

Excellent food...coffee pretty bad for a breakfast place but the food made up for it

Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Table are private and roomy. Eggs Benedict was great and service was excellent. Must try.

On a sleepy Thursday morning, when the rest of the town was quiet, we stopped by to get some breakfast to go. The first thing that hit me was how busy the place was, and most patrons seemed to be locals. We were served by a very helpful waitress, and ordered a couple of sandwiches to go. They were ready in the promised ten minutes and we sat out under a big tree off the parking lot to eat. My grilled cheese and my partner’s clubhouse were both good, but it is the fries that stood out. Clearly made in-house from actual potatoes, and they were fried perfectly. And boy they aren’t stingy! We had enough fries for the two of us and our dog, plus leftovers for a snack at our next pit stop. Highly recommended.

Normally I like to support family run businesses, unfortunately the experience and service was not what we were expecting for the breakfast barn.The service took longer than we hoped but the place was busy so it was expected as there were only 2 servers.The low rating is completely based on the fact that the biggest disappointment came to the food. Even though the portion was large, the quality of the food was low. Worst was that when the food arrive, not only did it not taste good, it was served cold. Ultimately, the server failed to ask how our meal was, so did not get a chance to provide our feedback.Given the amount of great locations to eat in the area, I do not recommend choosing the breakfast barn. Please note that this is a cash only location, with an ATM service fee of $3.

Service was not great, waited to be served, and it was not busy. food was ok.This is the 3rd time Ive been here and definitely will be the last. Took over 45 min for breakfast to be served, people that came after us were being served and ate befor use. My French toast was cold. And they gave my 4 year old granddaughter unbuttered rye toast (she asked for whiteservice was not good at all like I said over 30 min to get our food we arrived at around 1145 got our food at 12 35 . No one even came to our table the whole time we waited for our food. And even after we finally got our food couldnt get there attention had to go to the counter to get someones attention.Very disappointed.

Me and my wife love having breakfast here. Take out or outside dining. And they are so nice to my daughter that likes collecting rocks lol

This place has some of the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. Service was quick and friendly. The food was outstanding. And a delicious steak for u see 20 bucks... Have I died and gone to hevean. I highly recommend stopping in for a delicious and refreshing breakfast. 5/5 for price, value, environment and service!

I enjoyed this place. I wasnt sure I would like it until I got inside and looked around and ate. The décor is interesting, and feels like an American rural diner, modernized in a trendy way. They have a good breakfast menu with a varied selection that makes it easy to find something. The food was tasty and came out in short time, so no wait. There were a couple of women working in there at the time, and they were both very friendly and helpful. We talked about antique stores and they tried their best to help out to find places to go. Overall, I was very happy with this experience and I would definitely recommend it.

Had THE most amazing broasted chicken.The pieces of chicken were huge and perfectly seasoned. Super juicy with a wonderful crispy outside.Literally the best we have ever had for broasted chicken.Service as always is wonderful here.Breakfast is amazing too!A must try for sure!

My stuffed french toast was absolutely delicious. Hubby had big sheriff and had a hard time eating it all. Service was great. Prices were excellent. Having a hard time finding any flaws.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. I had the Stuffed French Toast and it was delicious. Patio was clean and they kept up social distancing. It was pleasant overall and my waitress was super sweet!!! Definitely going back there next time I’m in the area.

Love their stuffed French toast! This place is super popular for breakfast and I always see empty plates!! I would definitely recommend trying it.Service is a bit slow, if theyre super busy but its worth the wait. Most of their staff is super friendly and upbeat.

It was good food. Good service. Took a long time to get our food. Food is made to table. Only one table gets there food at one time. Cash only(no signs postedhad to use atm with a 2.25 service charge.

We stopped at The Breakfast Barn in Port Colbourne and Wow!! What a wonderful breakfast!!I had 2 eggs scrambled fluffy and they actually came out fluffy!! And my bacon Medium and of course just as I asked !!My husband had sunny side eggs and again perfect !Bacon and hash browns which he could not eat them all LOL !!The service very tentative thank you LauraWe will be back Thank you Breakfast Barn

If your visit to the office was an amazing find. Very tasty. The service was excellent and friendly. Best breakfast weve ever had. If you are ever in Port Colborne youll need to come and check this place out but be aware they close at 2:00.

Good restaurant for breakfast. Service is quick and accurate, although they are not very personable about it. You wont wait long for a table as food comes out quickly and turnover is really fast. Portions are well worth the cost (witch is very reasonableand the ingredients are good quality. The restaurant is cash only, but they do have an ATM.

The bacon was good but there was zero friendliness or attentiveness. No asking if we needed anything. Had to flag down the waitress for basic condiments she should have asked if we needed. Waitress came off as rude and they burned our toast. Not sure why youd serve burnt toast when it takes a whole minute to fix that...had to ask for a coffee refill as the waitress was walking away with the coffee pot, completely bypassing my dad and his half empty coffee. Will not be back.

The Breakfast Barn is one of those places that feels like walking into your Moms kitchen. The smells of breakfast cooking and fresh coffee makes your mouth salivate instantly and gets your stomach rumbling for food. Service is excellent and super friendly. The price for breakfast is on the economic side, that said the portions are country style sized, so if youre the math-guy, compared to city restaurants, this place will please your budget by far.

Neat little place for a good breakfast at a reasonable price. Be aware that they are cash only - they have an ATM, but who wants to pay $2.50 for a 3rd party ATM? Food was good, the wife had the eggs Benedict and enjoyed them. I had the number 2 special, its pretty hard to get 2 eggs over easy and sausages wrong. 😃 They were good, not overdone, and the sausages were flavorful.

My boyfriend and I come here for breakfast every so often and weve never been disappointed! The service is fast and friendly, the menu is pretty standard as far as breakfast places go but reasonably priced.They only accept cash as payment, but there is an ATM in the restaurant if needed!

The food was good, not any better than some of the other offerings in town, but good nonetheless. Where this establishment failed me consistently was the service.In a town with an average age well “over the hill”, being a younger twenty-something meant that I enjoyed sub-par service by comparison to my more “experienced” fellow diners. If this were a one-off, or an issue with a single server I wouldn’t have thought twice, but time and time again we were simply neglected regardless of how busy the place was, or what server we had.If youre over 40, or under 40 and don’t mind only having that initial cup of coffee or OJ with no hope of a refill; this is the breakfast joint for you!

This place was amazing! We got our food in a good amount of time and also I was a bit over whelmed by all the choices they offered. Unforunitly they didnt have what ai wanted so ai chose aomething else and it was delicious and it was huge portions too !

Cash only. ATM on-site. But $20 more than covers meal and tip. Save the ATM fee and bring money.Nice little breakfast spot. Decent portions at a much cheaper than big city folks are used to. Servers were friendly and provided great service. The food is cooked very diner-style and it made me feel reminiscent of my Port Colborne childhood. If, like me, you dont like country music, you might not enjoy the atmosphere, but I powered through it for everything else about the place.

Great little breakfast place. Food is better than most breakfast places and prices right (a little on the lower side). The stuffed French toast needs no syrup, and is delicious. The Bacon, egg and cheese is also very good. The food comes out pretty quick, so even if youre in a rush, its a much better choice than any of the local fast food joints (seriously, the food at Breakfast barn is much better).

Great comfort food. Service was a tad bit slow only because we came on a Sunday morning and it was fully packed. But I highly recommend this place.

Food was awesome! Fast, hot and reasonably priced. Coffee was good but service wasnt the greatest. Overall definitely a place to try for breakfast!
