The Brasserie Fish & Grill - Restaurant in Brighton, United Kingdom
Went with a friend. I ordered fish and chips. We waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive, we watched as the tables next to us were served before us despite ordering after us. Finally the meals arrived, the waitress left without offering any condiments. Fish and chips was a few scattered frozen chips and 3 small pieces of battered fish instead of the described cod fillet. I was so hungry due to the long wait, I ate what I could of the fish, although it had a strange taste of old oil flavoured with garlic. For hours after the meal it has not agreed with me. The prices are too high for the poor quality of the food.. if you cant get a simple dish like fish and chips right, Im not sure how you can call yourselves a fish restaurant....We will not be returning...
Very slow service, we will not be coming back
Dont know never been to you but if your offering free meals I will
👌
Have no idea
Fantastic
Although the fish was nice I think the meal was expensive as we were served frozen chips. I didnt like the 10% service charge either.
Very rude and aggressive waitress
The whole lobster with garlic was amazing, service was fast and I never had an empty glass for more than 2 minutes. Calamari was pretty good and of a generous portion. If I lived closer to Brighton I would definitely go as much as I could.
Devo dire che nel complesso si può gustare del buon cibo, mi lascia molto a desiderare tutto ciò che viene fritto, si ha la sensazione che l’olio che viene usato non sia molto fresco, e ciò è male. Buoni i dessert. Il prezzo mi sembra quasi nella norma.
Warmly welcomed into a comfortable, spacious and clean restaurant. Left to get settled for a few minutes, our drinks orders were taken first and then the food. Any questions about the meals were answered immediately without need to refer. My wife had a generous and very fresh prawn salad, and I opted for delicious, tender and flavoursome scallops. For mains we went for tuna steak done to my wifes liking and I had whole sea bass. We both agreed they were the best of those meals we had ever had. A lovely New York cheesecake with cream and lattes finished our fantastic dining experience at the Barracuda. My first but my wifes third visit, we will definitely be customers again soon.
Very nice atmosphere in here and the food is great!!service was excellent as usual! The location is second to none a little bit pricey but worth the treat now and again
Fantastic flaky fish, crispy batter and yummy mushy peas - if I was being picky I would have liked a few more of the delicious chips - they do a lunchtime offer as well - what else can you ask for - yum yum 😋
Really nice place! We ordered two course lunch menu and food quality was amazing. Desserts were homemade and delicious too. Staff extremely nice. Give it a 10!
Out for dinner the celebrate my 50th with my familyLovely food and service.
Top food
Super
Best cod n chips here!
I visited the Barracuda today with friends to celebrate my birthday. The waitresses were really friendly and the food was superb. When one of the waitresses realised that we were celebrating my birthday, they brought out a complimentary platter of desserts for us to share. They made me feel very special. I cant wait to go back.
Good standard food and service.
Ive possibly eaten more fish in my life than a haggard old fisherman caught. Most of those fish meals were dire. Some of them acceptable. Very, very occasionally they were great. Today, the fish was cooked to exceptionally high standards... Today was a good day, todays Dover Sole was divine.... But the meal itself needed work.Drop the balsamic plate decoration and offer me some veg, possibly samphire, possibly green beans, not a few leaves on the side! But the fish... OMG... The fish 🥰
A first class visit. The staff were excellent for example taking care of our soaking wet coats. The food was tasty and generous portions. Good value for money.
Nice food and good service.
Super
Just returned from this lovely restaurant and had a lovely meal.Service was brilliant and food was excellent, couldnt fault the place, staff or food.I had tuna steak and wife had salmon, both served perfect followed by cheese cake and bottle prosceco.Would deff return for another meal here next time I visit the marina
Food was of a high standard, but four times me and my disabled wife tried to eat here at 12.00 noon, only to be told the chef didn,t start till 12.30., so we moved to another resraurant.
Best restaurant fish and chips ive ever had. Waitress was very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. We will return soon :)
I went for lunch with my mother this Saturday. We have tried most of the places at the Marina but never been here before. We had a really good meal. Mum had the crab salad followed by yhe seabass. I had chicken goujons followed by the best rib eye steak Ive had in along time. Would deff go again hopefully soon. The staff were delightful
Went to the Waterfront Fish restaurant for Fish & Chips. Service initially appeared very good by the first gentleman that served us. We ordered garlic bread to share whilst we waited for our fish & chips. the Garlic bread that was brought out was similar to that you get in a supermarket only not as good. We waited a further 25 minutes which I thought for fish & chips for 2 at lunchtime midweek was a bit longer that expected. However when it arrived it looked pretty good and was piping hot.Chips were the frozen steak type that had been deep fried and the batter crisp & quite light. I started from the thinner end and all seemed quite nice until I reached the thicker part of the fish which started to get watery then found it RAW in the middle. I asked my husband if his was ok but he said his wasnt quite cooked through but wasnt as bad as mine. I called the waiter over to complain and he offered me another piece of fish. I said that it had put me off a little and as my husband had almost finished his wasnt worth it and probably have to wait almost half an hour for an alternative item. He said he would discount the bill but never offered an apology. We got the bill and he had taken £2 off our £24 bill. I though this to be insulting and called him back to say that I thought this was very poor as the food was uncooked and no apology was offered to which he replied well I offered you a replacement and you had eaten most of the fish!!. I had only eaten the small tail end which was cooked. i was even more insulted to which I said that would he have eaten a replacement to which he replied "probably not". I was very insulted and he then said I have also taken the service charge off which I replied that this was "optional anyway". He reluctantly took another £2 off. we paid & left.On principle I would never go back to this place. We have a boat on the Marina and have been to numerous restaurants regularly at the Marina. Frankly if you want Fish & Chips - EAT ELSEWHERE!
Went with a friend after getting a discount coupon with Groupon. Service was good and the food was very nice. Surroundings were very good and everyone pretty much kept themselves to themselves. Was more expensive than i thought it would be, but it was one of the more upmarket restaurants in this area.
We had an Anniversay family meal here. The food was great and the service friendly & polite. All our guests were complimentary and enjoyed the evening. Thank you for making it so special for us.
