Good quality food, I never make to the desert as the portions are quite generous. Recently I had the mushroom toast and schnitzel, I can recommend both positions. I will be coming back soon for another visit.

Dined here while visiting York with a friend. Excellent food quality, generous portions and surprisingly reasonable prices. Lovely ambience, unpretentious and relaxed. Staff were friendly and efficient. Tried the the lamb rump, breast of chicken and battered cod....all locally sourced and DELICIOUS!

Lovely Hotel ,clean friendly , beds comfortable, walk into center of York .Food nice .rooms and restaurant could have been a bit warmer .But then again its a big old building with lots of character.Would go back.
