369 Cobb Pkwy S, Marietta, GA 30060, United States, Marietta
Counter-serve eatery dishing up Pan-Asian & American fare in a low-key, contemporary space.
Glad to come back and be reminded how good this experience is for us. Fresh food. Kind, friendly service. Lovely smiles. Tonight’s meal was chicken BiBimBap and Bulgogi. Absolutely tasty!
Its an okay place. It looks like they are currently of moving and refurnishing the place. The water there does not taste good, taste like lukewarm water from a sink that you left out in the sun. Its better to grab a one of the bottled or canned drinks there instead. The grilled chicken on the ramen was delicious. The broth has a suspicious after-taste to it.I recommend delivery or takeout from the place
So good! Awesome casual lunch (inside is nothing fancybut the food was outstanding. I went with Spicy pork ramen bowl and it was delicious! So fresh! Was a little expensive (like $15-16), but I guess you get what you pay for!
Vegetable ramen with herb grilled chicken, spice level 6…AMAZING!!!
Spicy pork ramen stir fry was excellent
Very fresh ingredients and filling. A little pricey compared to other similar restaurants. Good stuff!
Absolutely DELICIOUS!! I had the Vegetable ramen w/herb grilled chicken, spice level 7, spring rolls and fresh ginger tea... EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS and flavorful!
Not good from the service to the food. They are cutting corners somewhere. The fact that their displayed rating was an 86% should have been an indication to me. Got the ramen and it was barely edible. I got my daughter fried and they tasted so off, how do you ruin fries? Not quite sure. Won’t ever go back. Side note: both owner and cashier seem to have issues with melanin. Beware.
Some of the best bowls in Marrietta. The bibimbap bowl with bulgolgi is my favorite, but the ramen bowls you cant go wrong with. The service is friendly and fast for made to order. They close between 3-4.
There food is amazingly healthy and delicious. I live on the south side but make the drive once a week to eat here. Totally worth it!
Good food and good service. Small place that needs a little cleanup but good people who are nice and helpful if you have questions about what to order. Broth is not on the clear side but more cloudy. Very generous on the protein which is the best I have ever seen. Little spring rolls were good but would be better with some real sweet and sour sauce. Family loved it.
I’ve been eating at the Bowl once a week for some time now because the food is just that delicious and nutritious. Everyone from the owner to the workers behind the counter are super friendly and kind. Best Poke Bowl establishment in the area!
This is my favorite noodle place!!! I always get the stir-fry Ramen. Its always good and I have no complaints. You can choose the level of spice from one to 10 I have gotten up to 7..its amazing
Overall experience was ok. I ordered the ramen with spicy chicken to go, heat level of 8 ( spice lover)The meat broth was greasy and lack seasoning. The spicy chicken itself had a good taste alone but not enough to carry the full meal. Customer service was great but the food just wasnt the best, very bland. Definitely have had better ramen.
Found this gem 4 years ago and have been going there ever since. The food is delicious and very authentic to the food my husband had over in Korea. If youre looking for a place that serves authentic Asian/Korean cuisine try them located in Marietta Georgia
My new favorite place in the area!Gluten free people do be aware that they add crunchies to the poke bowl automatically so you have to let them know, but the girls that work here do a fantastic job. The food is fresh, delicious, and healthy!
This place wouldve easily gotten a 5 star review. The ambience, the staff, the cleanliness are all 5 stars. The only reason I had to give it a 3 is because the Ramen bowl I ordered was not tasty at all, in fact, Id say it kinda tasted weird. Maybe Im just blessed to have had some amazing ramen to reference from in my life, but the noodles were a touch too hard, the soup tasted metallic if it had any taste at all. Besides that, Id definitely recommend this place to all who would like to try the ramen for themselves. Maybe the chef was just having an off day. Also the tapioca balls for the bubble tea tasted kind of weird too.😅
Ok let me start by saying the place was empty!! For a 4.6 star? I can’t believe that... in their pictures the food looks so good but it has NO FLAVOR if you like flavor please spare yourself the time of your day and the money in your wallet!! Almost 50$ !! Half of 100$ bill for what I found to be extremely over priced for the flavor taste and quality of the food, the chicken was burnt, dark and smelled terrible I felt like if I would’ve ate that food I would’ve had the runs right after, I had the spicy pork ramen with FLAVORLESS broth, noodles, and chicken!! The whole thing could’ve been made at home and if not better 😪 my husbands stir fried noodles with spicy chicken was also flavorless extremely greasy and a waste of money. Luckily my picky eater son was bribed with a coke to finish his kids rice and chicken that looked terrible. My tab should’ve been 25$ at the most!!! That’s how much I believe I should’ve paid... I feel scammed and will never go here again and I’m born and raised in Marietta and I’ll make sure to let everyone I know KNOW that this place is not what it is portraying with its Google reviews... this is low grade food at papadeux pricing Smdh not to mention the owner came out and was very nasty she refused to refund us for me and my husbands plate just cause he was picking at it but he’s like a 3rd kid to me and was just super hungry and couldn’t wait and ate almost all the noodles because he said that’s all he could stomach and she could’ve partially refunded that atleast so she only refunded mine I told her I would pay for my sons food that was almost finished and the drinks but nothing else but she refused...
Fantastic counter service ramen spot. I got the spicy pork belly ramen and drank every last drop of broth. Everything is painstakingly arranged to perfection. They do spiciness on a 0 to 10 scale, and every number is delicious. Service was a little bit slow, but thats more or less the case everywhere with restaurants being short-staffed right now. Parking is directly in front of the restaurant. Very excited to come back and try other things from their menu.
Stopped in here for a late dinner. It was quite tasty! When we walked in, the lady manning the register immediately noticed we were a little uncertain about the ordering protocol. She explained to us, very quickly and kindly, how the system worked -- start with a base bowl (ranging from ramen to bibimbap to poke), add your choice of protein, and enjoy! There were a few items on special, too, including bulgogi and chicken wings. My boyfriend ordered the bulgogi, spicy level 6 (from 1-10). I asked about the spicy chicken, and was told it was about a 2 on the spicy scale. Im comfy up to a 4-5 (impressive, I know...lol), so that was fine for me; I went with the dolsot bibimbap with spicy chicken. We found the spicy levels to be dead-on correct, so that made us happy. The bulgogi beef was super tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed the crispy rice at the bottom of the hot stone bowl. There were a TON of fresh veggies, too, which were all delicious. Id never had corn in my bibimbap before, but I liked it in this one. The spicy chicken tasted like smoked chicken, and it was so fall apart tender that it cut more easily than the egg on top!The service came by to check in and make sure we knew how to best enjoy our food (like stirring in the spicy red paste -- probably gochujang, though this one was a bit more savory than other gochujang Ive had).My only complaint is the atmosphere. It was, unfortunately, super dark. The dining area was really large, and there were pretty much only two small Iamps turned on; no overhead lighting at all. It was really dim and hard to see and Im not super clear on why that was the case. Still, the food was very tasty and the service lovely and so pleasant; Id definitely return!
Most amazing woman running this place all of her stuff is organic, and her Raman is best and authentic, Reminds me so much of Raman in Japan, I’ve been to Japan many time, she speaks fluent Japanese so come practice with her oh and the Raman uses bone broth she cooks for over 72 hours
We come here for the Poke! Just grab an ingredient checklist near the register and customize a bowl to your hearts desire! They have a wide variety of fresh seafood and veggie options to choose from. There is an additional charge for sliced almond or avocado though. The lady who prepares our Poke is always so nice. There is no question that she takes pride in preparing a bowl that is pleasing to the eye as well as the stomach! On another note, we also appreciate that due to COVID this business is taking additional precautions to ensure a clean environment for customers to dine in.
This place is great. Everything Ive tried on the menu is delicious. The ramen is my favorite thing. Very close to authentic Japanese ramen. Japanese ramen is SUPER hot and can be spicy, and this is the closest thing I can find to real thing in Cobb County. Definitely go check it out. Their poke bowls are also tasty as hell and they use fresh fish!!
This afternoon I had the Stir Fry Ramen with Spicy pork and it was so delicious!! The noodles are green because they’re vegan noodles. The staff was nice and knowledgeable; the woman taking our order was able to answer all of my questions. The inside is unassuming, but the food is incredible. I can’t wait to come back
Very good service. The food is good. The ramen was tasty but slightly oily . I like how they have vegetarian and vegan options.
Not the place for poke........ahh ordered brown rice on a to go order and it was hard! Should not have been served. It got busy because its near the military base so I couldnt watch it being prepared....problem. I eat a lot of poke and sushi, and I made a mistake. I bought 2 bowls one brown and one white rice. They serve other types of bowls so I cannot comment there but NO POKE! Admittedly there were a lot of other patrons from the base.....no one else got Poke. Thats why I didnt give 1 star.
Looks can be deceiving.... broth was flavorless and the spices they add tastes burnt (see burnt mound at bottom of bowl). The noodles were also bland. The only redeeming menu item was the spring roll and shrimp tempura appetizer. Service was also not great, shouldnt have left a tip since you have to pay ahead of getting food. Asked for lime and they never came back to check on the table once. Overall an extremely underwhelming experience. Would not recommend!
This is a small place with great Asian food. They have good Ramen and Poke bowls. Be careful with the spice, I had a 7/10 and it was spicy. That’s coming from a guy who eats lot of spicy food. So be careful.
Wonderful Service! Excellent Food and enough for leftovers! Immerse Yourself in Japanese Culture with easy to create meals for the whole family!
Great food, good prices and friendly staff. I tried the level 8 Spicy Pork Ramen and was warned how spicy it would be, but I wouldnt consider it to be that spicy (maybe it is by southern standards). Either way the food was delicious, the dining area was quite interesting and I will absolutely be coming back. The location makes it hard to notice while driving by and it can be difficult to safely get out of the parking lot, but this is a great place to visit. Best place near this area to eat and one of the only places around with semi-healthy food options.
DELICIOUS!!! I got a poke bowl and it was so good. You can completely customize it to your tastes and only avacado and almonds cost more. Everything else is complimentary. It tasted so fresh and I even had leftovers! The women who was working the register was so nice. She explained to me how the bowls worked and answered all my questions. Definitely will be going back!! New favorite place for poke!
Came here almost by accident! Im a big fan of poke and I just found myself next to it and figured Id give it a shot. I got the citrus tea which is a sweet but not too sweet drink with citrus pulp mixed in. I also got a poke bowl! It was beautifully made and just as delicious! Ill be stopping by again the next time Im up that way.
Love the customer service here and the food is very fresh and authentic. We come here every time we arrive in Atlanta and I definitely recommend it.
This place is fabulous because they grow their own fresh veggies that they use in their dishes. I thought that was super cool!! The staff here is super friendly and helpful with explaining their dishes. I am a huge Ramen fan so I ordered the Ramen with Chicken and a 2 level spicyness. I honestly wanted to give this dining experience a 3.5 star because the Ramen was just okay but google doesnt allow it. I thought it could have been seasoned better. It came with a boiled egg but not a soy boiled egg which is one of my FAVORITE part of eating Ramen. I usually buy an extra one with my Ramen. The chicken was a little dry and I ended up not eating it at all. This place seems to always be busy so I am going to come back and try another dish. Perhaps the other dishes might taste a little better.
Great restaurant. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious! I definitely recommend.
Mom & Pop Japanese/Vietnamese bowl joint serving authentic ramen (yes! tea brined eggs included), rice, poké, and salad based dishes. Theyve applied the Subway-esque "pick your own toppings" style of ordering to these classic dishes so creating something you enjoy is super simple. The staff is very sweet so youll feel like youre right at home in your very own tiger moms kitchen!
A hidden gem worth the drive! I love how you can customize your bowl. I cannot wait to come back to try everything. The owner is so energetic and helpful. I tried the smoked grill chicken with brown rice and vegetables...OMG! The chicken was so delicious I can tell it had been smoked and grilled to perfection. The sauce on the chicken is addicting. Dont sleep on the crab croquettes either!
I tried Poké here for the first time. The staff is really polite, and so helpful. They literally wont let you clean the plates and trash from your table. The food was AMAZING . I would recommend this place to anyone!
This place is really great! You can tell the people who run it are passionate about their food and their restaurant. I had the ramen with tofu and its hands down one of the best tofu Ive ever had. The restaurant and the restrooms are unbelievably clean. I highly recommend
The bowl is a stop you must make if youre a stir fry fan. I would recommend dining in rather than taking out. When you dine in, the portion size is HUGE. When you order, you choose your noodle or rice, then your meat, and a level of spice 1-10. Im a 6! I like it just spicy enough to make me sniffle, but still enjoyable! They also serve wings, so if you think youd enjoy the pictured wings, dig in.
Oh my. This was perfection. First, the lady at the counter was very friendly. I had a vegetarian Ramen noodle bowl that is outstanding. She was proactive and asked if I wanted tofu and no egg, which is exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the egg did arrive but it was hard-boiled so I simply removed it. When she saw the egg sitting on a napkin she apologized profusely. I asked for medium spice and it was perfectly seasoned. The serving size was out of this world. The tofu was well cooked and firm with slightly crunchy edges. The temperature was spot-on in this unusually cold spring weather. The flavors were amazing, something very unique in this area. Classical piano music played which actually made me slow down and really enjoy the meal. The sweet tea was the right kind of southern goodness. Besides the egg, the decor is a bit outdated and doesnt mesh well together but the restaurant was clean and the food was delicious that all the other faults could be overlooked. I will be back soon.
If this is your first time at The Bowl, as a frequent diner I highly recommend the Ramen Stir Fry, I will choose Spicy Chicken or Tofu. I like spicy so I go with a 7 but a 5 is a great spice point. It’s hard to recommend something else when the Ramen Stir Fry is so good but the Bibimbap with spicy chicken is amazing as well. The service is always fantastic! If you are looking for fast food go somewhere else, if you are looking for fantastic food this is the place to be!Go here on your birthday, the staff is phenomenal!I highly recommend if you like great food! You wont regret it!!
Probably the hottest bowl of Ramen Ive ever had. Would have probably drank the broth if my lips werent numbed down with Capsaicin. Price is near Marietta Diner levels but much like the Diner the portions speak for themselves. I enjoy how they have spice levels and meat selections for their dishes, gives me a wider set of options for how much punishment I want to take. If you enjoy the sensation of spicy foods like i do, choose option 10. To a college student, this seems more like a special occasion or family restaurant. Prices are a bit too substantial for it to be a late night or weekend eatery. Best to go with some buds to have the best experience possible, otherwise youll end up looking like a slob coughing over some devilishly red Ramen.
Tasty food and quick service. This place is a great alternative to the other greasy fast food restaurants along Cobb parkway. I ordered the original bowl with white rice and spicy chicken. The chicken is not over-poweringly spicy and has a good flavor. It also came with cabbage and other veggies. The plate cost about $9, which is a bit high for lunch, but I had a little left over. If they had a cup of green tea to go with the meal it would be perfect.
Great food. I had the ramen with spicy pork, my wife had kalbi. Both were excellent. My new noodle place!
I wanted to like this place because the ingredients are better than fast food, but I felt it was priced high for the portions. Bright open eating area, smiling wait staff, remodeled from an old Captain Ds.
The food is amazing and the people here are super nice. Ive tried several things, but I always get the Spicy Stir Fry Ramen no matter what. It is spicy so anything above level 8 will make you cry. Love it... so i normally order extra to-go 😂😭.P.S. They also serve Kimchi here.
Traveling through the area, my wife and I happily stumbled upon The Bowl. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful in their explanations and the food was served hot (temp wiseand full of favor (taste wise). Pictured is my wifes choice - the original bowl with grilled chicken.Driving through the area? Live in the area? Make The Bowl your regular stop...you will not regret it!
SPICY PORK RAMEN WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE! 🙌First, pick your type of dish, then type of meat. And just for all you clueless people who order chicken-everything: DONT BE A FOOL- CHOOSE SPICY PORK MMMM YAASSSS! 👅🐷These bowls are MASSIVE and filled with a broth that can only be made of:Sugar.Spice.And everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girl- erm, broth. But Professor Utonium accidentally added an an extra ingredient to the concoction- SPICY PORK BELLY!Side note: the owners are the kindest and most patient people. My mom and I walked in and she patiently went through each item on the menu with us and explained each one. She brought us our utensils and the cook came out to check on if our food was the way we liked it.Edit: second pick was a bulgogi stone bowl and spicy chicken ramen. Both were delicious!
If you pass this place for old old skunky mall Chinese Food ...SHAME ON YOU!! This restaurant is new to the Cobb Pkwy/ Marietta area but was well needed amongst all the traditional fast food that surrounds it. Customer service was polite and informative about their menu and their selection, especially for new comers to the establishment. Prices are reasonable, especially for what you get, and you get alot of it!! The presentation of my entree was excellent , the ramen was soft and bouncy, the shrimp.... excuse me.....prawns were pump and juicy, flavors were delicious and spot on with what you would expect from an authentic noodle shop! My complements to the chef & kitchen staff, keep it up, I will definitely be patronizing them from now on!! Good Job @"The Bowl"!!
