Cozy New York-inspired gastropub boasts subway-tiled digs, a signature burger & an ample drink menu.
The Bowery has a nice pub feel with a cozy atmosphere. The drinks are the usual affair and a nice simplified three spout draft available.Happy hour has a limited menu of well drinks and a small collection of can beers. Nothing to shout about, but possibly a good induction of light drinks if you prefer PBR and alike.Pub burgers may possibly be a highlight of this place if you dont drink your meals daily. The selection is delicious and creative. Pricing starts at a steep $13 and a side mixed salad and/or fries will require another $4. The Happy Hour small bites are okay with only the deep-fried Brussel sprouts being a pleasant highlight.Kudos to the staff and the excellent service.
Great drinks Bloody Mary and tangerine IPA beer, but don’t park out front bar, their happy hour is right when you cant l park on the street. $463.00 drinks 😱
The Sunset Burger was INCREDIBLE. Youve got to come here
Service was good and I thought the burgers tasted good but overall it was very overpriced. Its a dollar extra for most toppings and the plain burger only comes with cheese lettuce and pickles and no sauce???
Great place to chill out and have a drink staff & owners were great host
Great service and an awesome bartender in "Swish" definitely will visit this spot again.
Great place! I like the drinks Patrick and Bryan are really nice.
Amazing bar and burger joint! I go every week. Amazing and attentive staff and servers and delicious food at a good price.
Great quality food. Great atmosphere.
Insanely good burgers and garlic fries
Great food, ambiance and staff. Total Hollywood gem.
Amazing bar and burger joint! I go every week. Amazing and attentive staff and servers and delicious food at a good price.
Nyc vibes good food and drink, usually not a wait. Solid neighborhood spot
I want to thank all staff specially Anibal _ John _ Rafael _ Pedro & Faustino all of them made me feel like home every time I go is a unique experience. As soon as I walk in Anibal gets my drink ready and is a warmth welcome. THANK YOU very much for everything you all do for every single costumer at BOWERY . GOD bless you. See you soon
I guess I should have ordered the burger. Thats what I get for not reading other reviews before deciding to come here for dinner. I thought it would be a good option since my friend and I had just finished watching a movie at the Arclight. Small space, and dark like most bars. Food was decent. Service was terrible.Im still not sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not. We stood around for a bit before choosing to sit at a corner table. There were 3 staff members on the floor, 2 behind the counter and another attending to the tables. All 3 of them walked by us several times, but didnt notice us staring them down for some service. Thankfully we were able to grab our own menus when we sat down. The big guy behind the counter stayed there most of the time. Im guessing he may be a member of management, because he just stood there. We finally waved down the server and asked for some service. He took our order and left. By this time we knew what we wanted. Sadly, they werent very busy either. We shared an order of the Roasted Brussel Sprouts and regular fries. I will admit that the Brussel Sprouts were very good... crispy and fresh. The fries were hot and crispy. I had the Chicken Breast French Dip, and I definitely dont recommend it. The sandwich was super dry, so that dip will be handy for washing it down. I removed most of the bread and ate just the chicken.Getting the check at the end of our meal was a struggle too. You can sit there and stare at the wall and they still wont come over. I finally walked up to the bar counter to ask for my check. The only service we received here was from the guy who I assume to be a runner. The big guy and gal were just there to look pretty and mingle.Too many Awesome places in the area to do The Bowery again..... Once is enough for me.
Incredible drinks, fascinating service by Jordan and Philip et al, a favorite local haunt of mine
This is a great spot for dinner. The gravy fries was amazing. Seriously. Go here just for that. Great selection of alcohol. Burger was pretty good. But again, I would go back just for those fries
I really like this bar O! Exquised me Class act the bartender seem very relax and comfertible Great energy it just seem to me that if you wanted your space he would be happy to ablij you meaning if you wanna be alone hey!.. you got it or if you come to socialize you got it too just wonderful.
Cozy, nice staff and good food. Every time I come here, it is a good experience. They have delicious fries and if you want extra go for the gravy fries. Good burger. Great selection of liquor.Downside is the parking. Theres a parking lot behind the place, but you cant go through their back door, youd have to walk all the way around the block. Doesnt make sense.
Okay but the food though. Every person in my party of four forgot about their drinks once the food came out. We had gone elsewhere for a couple of drinks then found the Bowery nearby and decided to try it.. The herbed goat cheese was to die for, tomato soup for the soul, pork poutine oh my god delicious, the sliders and burgers were perfect.. I wish I had time to try the whole menu!! Go check this place out!!
The Bowery is a welcome constant in a city that has changed around it, and its burger remains my favorite in Los Angeles. For starters, the English muffin bun provides the perfect bread to burger ratio, and the burger itself weighs in with a scrumptious thickness, seasoned perfectly, that still stretches jaws despite the muffins slimmer profile. This time around, I opted for a red onion compote, bacon, and avocado toppings that rounded out the flavor while adding the pretense of healthiness (onions! avocado!to an otherwise guiltily gluttonous concoction. But the best taste of the burger was nostalgia. When I was living in Los Angeles, the Bowery was my hang, and that burger my go-to meal for every occasion, from pre-game filler to post-debauchery pick-me-up. Im pleased to say that the burger holds up, many years later, with the memories it surfaced serving as an ultimately fulfilling repast.
Fun little joint. Nice selection of beers. Interesting food. Really nice waiters and waitresses.
This place feels like a New York bar, and as a New Yorker, I love it! Good drink selection and good atmosphere. The bathroom is outside, which is a little strange, but I guess thats more normal for LA?
Food was delicious, but we waited an hour to get it even though the restaurant was nearly empty.
Great place to grab a bite downtown. Parking is brutal, however.
Not the friendliest bar. Our server did his best to tolerate us. So their burger really is a sandwich with great protein to carbohydrates proportion. sweet potato fries are below average.
Awesome. I hope Harris Farm in Cooks Hill comes half as close.
Not happy at all. Beer was hand warm and served from can. Chiken was overcooked and very dry.
Known for their Bowery Burger (which is actually worth the hypethis is a really great, low key spot. While on the corner of Sunset/Vine, you could easily pass this. Dont. Great food, great staff, and perfect before a show at The Pallidium or Fonda.
Amazing sliders and fries, beef and gravy! Seriously was so good. Highly recommended. Had a great IPA on tap too.
Good for a drink or a bite in Hollywood. We were there before show at the Palladium.
Small and usually busy, this place offers a cool NY atmosphere with a limited, but tasty menu. The burger is absolutely stellar! The service can be slow and patchy due to limited staff, make sure you allow for extra time.
Great food and atmosphere, Ill miss it when I move away.
Burgers are good. simple build your own stack. good ingredients. fresh and delicious. Great bar & atmosphere. recommended.
Happy hour food and drinks. Late night happy hour as well. Black subway tiled walls give it a classy chic modern look
The beer is too expensive forvwhat otherwise would be a quiet and enjoyable spot.
Amazing burgers with great beer!!
Cool drinks and cozy atmosphere at night, food is just OK.
Great burger is right, mountain of fries, really good amber ale
Food is good, mostly go late night for last call. Bartenders are cool.
The house burger was pretty good with the red onion confit added to the standard English muffin and grass fed beef patty
The burgers here are DELICIOUS. Great spot to get a bite before a movie at the arclight -- though tables are limited.
Great place to stop and get a drink. Didnt eat here, but good atmosphere, clean bathrooms and nice bartenders.
Love this little bar. We often go here to get good and drunk before going to see a terrible movie at the arclight.
Great burger - unique in that they put it on an English muffin and pretty customizable. Place reminds of being in NYC. P.S. get the gravy fries.
My favorite restaurant for lunch in Brussels. They offer free parking and their lunch special are magic.
I hate to give such a low rating. This place had one of my favorite dishes in town. It was a skirt steak with brussels sprouts cooked in bacon and mashed potatoes! Now it comes with only french fries... So sad.
as a true hamburger aficionado, this is one of my favorite burgers ever. It is served on an English muffin and always arrives at the desired temperaure, add their delicious fries and gruyere cheese and it makes a perfect lunch!
Great sliders and beers - everyone in the group had different burgers and all were happy. Not particularly pricey given that its a fairly reliable celebrity hotspot.
very small but fun. nice bar with tables along the wall. good food with an italian touch but the braised short ribs are great and the menu constantly is updated via the blackboard.
