We were a trio of old ladies looking for a place to have a cocktail. Landed at this place. Sat at the bar, bartender EXTREMELY gracious and helpful, FANTASTIC Spanish G&Ts, We were very happy with our discovery and having a great time. Towards the end of our drinks, we realized we were surrounded by hipsters and we were really out of place. But no one gave us any bad vibes, which made us feel really cool, and we appreciated it greatly ♥️ We plan to go back 👍

Fantastic place, unique and eclectic with great service, drinks, atmosphere. Highly recommend checking out this gem. The shop carries Black Cap hot sauce too....bonus! Buy local.

The Bottle Shop is temporarily closed because all their bartenders resigned due to the owners allegedly treating them like trash. Personally, Im not comfortable supporting a business that supposedly treats their employees so poorly that they agreed to quit together.

If your whole staff walks out - that’s never a good sign. I’ve heard awful things about the owners and can’t recommend anyone spends their money here while under the current management.

I’ve been to Bottle Shop quite a few times (being a Columbus nativeand typically have a great time. I love the concept and vibe of the place. However my most recent experience has really left a bad taste and likely won’t be back or recommending this place to others.I came with a group of friends, all of which ordered mixed drinks from the bar and tipped graciously (25% or greater). I personally decided to purchase a bottle of wine from the pseudo-convenience store. I picked my bottle of wine and went to check out with my card, paying for both the wine and the corkage fee. The man at the cash register at first was rather neutral, not particularly rude, not necessarily kind either, speaking to me minimally. He told me he didn’t have any wine glasses and couldn’t open my wine on this side of the building and I would need to go over to the bar side. So essentially he scanned my wine bottle and that’s it. However, when he then presented me with my receipt to get my signature he proceeded to, rather rudely, ask me for a tip prior to even finishing filling out the receipt! At that point in time, he would have had no idea whether or not I intended on leaving a tip to begin with.I’ve worked in the Columbus service industry for 8 years and have never once been asked for a tip, let alone ever asked for one myself. I would 100% have tipped (and still did might I addregardless, however this rude and entitled comment really rubbed me the wrong way. Reading other reviews, I can see this isn’t the first time this has happened to customers here. This is a HUGE bummer because this is the location where my partner and I had our first date and previously served as a special place for us. We likely won’t be back, which sucks!!

So, I’ve been here a few times since living in Columbus & have never been impressed. The staff are borderline rude, the drinks are average at best, & the menu is overpriced in my opinion. That being said, I can respect their patio.Today, I met some friends there but wasn’t in the mood to drink. I went to the shop side, grabbed a sparkling water out of the cooler & checked out (just like you would in a gas station or convenience store.The girl who checked me out did exactly that…checked me out, nothing more, nothing less. I would consider myself a generous tipper normally (20% + at leastbut saw no need to tip on this since she literally did N O T H I N G. I go back outside to sit with my friends & a man comes out & proceeds to yell at me for not tipping. I’ve literally never experienced something more inappropriate, rude or embarrassing at any establishment EVER. I still don’t feel like I needed to tip in this situation, but regardless, the actions of the staff were over the top & uncalled for. Needless to say, I will NEVER be back & will definitely be telling anyone & everyone even considering the bottle shop to go get better drinks & better service somewhere else (:

Home of the best cocktails in Columbus. Attentive, talented and kind bartenders who know what they’re talking about.They rotate their draft list pretty regularly, and offer unique, seasonal cocktails. Sultry lighting inside keeps it cozy and intimate — their patio outside is well-lit and great for summer nights.I couldn’t recommend The Bottle Shop enough. Do yourself a favor and stop in sometime soon.

Good wheelchair accessibility, and excellent drinks! They make the type of cocktail you cant be bothered to gather everything for at home, and its well worth the expensive prices. If you just want to drink -- well, theres beer for that too. And the taco truck outside pairs well with either plan.

Top cocktails in the city and a great selection of wines.Update- even more so than when I wrote this initial review. Excellent and up to date wine curating. And now a lovely patio!

This is a cool place for cocktails, it has a very bohemian laid-back vibe to it. Drink menu is really well put together and has a diverse mix of available cocktails, definitely something for everyone. I had the "F*CK it, well do it live" and the "Smoke and mirrors", of which, both were excellent. It was pretty busy when we arrived around 11:30pm, but still found a seat and had a great time. Will be going back!

Small quaint and almost perfect. Carry out plenty of hard to find imports and local beers. Bar side has a good draft selection and seasonal hand crafted cocktails.

Cocktails are phenomenal. You can buy a bottle of wine and have it opened on site. Also several craft beers on draft.

Not about to lie....all the way from San Antonio, TX and these AWESOME bartenders HOOKED ME UP with the most delicious top shelf reposado margarita that I couldve ever dreamed of getting 1,600 miles from home where Margaritas are a religion!Ill be back! If you havent been to this Little gem of a bar youre missing out the flavor profiles in the varied drinks definitely will set your mouth aflame delicious delicious delicious the atmosphere is fun and unique definitely stands apart from any bar you will go to in Columbus! And of course the most handsome bar tender in the world Brock! He just isnt handsome he does make a hell of a drink!

Tasty drinks, conscientious staff, fun decor all combine to make for a comfortable evening! It’s a small place but there’s lots of choices. Sitting outside, masked while standing, or inside, masked while standing, is totally worth the trip & $$!

I love that they always help me find exactly what Im looking for. The to-go cocktails are my absolute favorite and second would be the natural wines. Fun place, great people... one of my favorite local businesses to support! :D

My husband and I dont live near the area, so I watched this shop for a while on social media before going when we were in the area. The Bottle Shop exceeded all of my expectations. The store is so fun to browse around and I love the selection of cocktails. Its obvious they are creative and use high-quality ingredients.We loved the atmosphere of the patio so much that we sat outside in the cold to drink cocktails. The Bottle Shop provides beautiful cocktail glasses as a cherry on top of the experience.I cant wait for the special events to start up again so we can try those, too!

This place has it all! Outdoor seating and big tables. a Food truck outside with tasty food that you can bring inside. A wine shop if you dont see anything you like (there is a corkage fee understandably). The drinks change seasonally and are truly craft cocktails. The spirit selection isnt huge, but it is well curated. I love the eclectic decor. If you get board with conversation, you can let your gaze drift to the silent art films being projected. I can even bring my little dog Monsignor! The staff seems to have a higher turnover which may indicate something about the business or just the product of working in a university town. It is a great spot for a date and a group of people who dont want to go to a "university" bar.

Unique as well as intimate... You can buy a bottle of wine to share, or a glass. I didnt check out the beer selection. As the wine shop, that is connected, left more than enough ideas for sipping on a beverage with friends. A tad crowded due to spacing issues... but did I mention intimate? Ill be back! Early🥂

Amazing creative cocktails. They have a seasonal cocktail menu, but of course they can make pretty much anything youd want, and they have wine and an extensive beer selection. Taco truck outside, and outdoor patio seating. All in all a great place.

One of the best cocktail bars in Columbus. The best of both worlds by having a great beer list AND having a well-stocked carry-out store under one roof. Barbara and her team are exceptionally knowledgeable and are happy to guide you through the excellent cocktail menu as time allows. Be patient, as some of the drinks can take time; your patience will be rewarded.

First time here. I couldnt swing the cocktails price-wise, but the bottle shop next door has some fantastic choices as well. People are very friendly and the space is interesting. I will be back soon for some food truck food and great drinks.

Fantastic bar and hangout spot! One of the best bars in Columbus. They are constantly innovating and coming up with new drinks. The bartenders are all extremely friendly and more than happy to make excellent suggestions based on your tastes. The atmosphere is artsy, relaxed, and eclectic. In addition to the darkened bar area, the adjoining room features a full beer store. Theres an great food truck out front as well if you get hungry. 100% recommend for a great night with friends or a date.

This place is a culmination of some of my favorite things...great wine, craft drafts, and interesting cocktails. Cant recommend it enough for a spot to grab a drink with friends or a date night before or after dinner. Barbara and her team are very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. They also have a retail side with a wide variety of options for carryout.

The least pretentious cocktail bar and the only one where you can almost always count on a seat. The bartenders are chill and the carryout attached has a great selection, too. Theres usually a food truck and their patio is pretty nice. There is a parking lot behind for about three cars but street parking is pretty easy to find, too.

I love down the street from this place but that doesnt make me biased. Its just a very relaxed vibe in there. I love the staff, they make you feel welcome and like one of the family. Whether you want to sit at the bar or just make a 6 pack and head on your way, this is a good spot to do it. Did I mention they make some killer cocktails?

I go here frequently, and I am always satisfied and amazed. They always have unique seasonal cocktails and amazing beers on tap. In the warmer months, I love sitting on the patio enjoying drinks and eating street tacos from the food truck outside. There is also a store portion with beer and wines in packs to take home or individual cans or bottles to enjoy on site. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly, and always fun to talk to if its not too busy! Its generally a quieter, more mellow experience than other bars and I love it. A funky atmosphere, an amazing beer list, and a relaxed vibe make this one of my favorite bars in Columbus. The bottle shop portion has a surprisingly great selection as well. And if you need local chicken eggs they have those too? The patio is a great place to relax when the weather cooperates.

Knowledgeable and likeable staff, willing to share what they are working on. Very cool atmosphere that feels artisan while still being on the cheaper end for cocktails. Good selection and a strong menu featuring both house specialties and classic cocktails. Also, not too loud!

Very cute little bar/wine shop. Lots of beers on tap, pretty decent selection of bottles of wine that you can buy and drink there. Only downside is the corkage fee. Very friendly staff, lots of board games to play with friends in a living room-like atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for her birthday last night. The cocktails were fantastic, I dont think I have had a better bourbon drink than the Demon on High Street. The bar is really chill and the bartenders really know their stuff. Eric did an excellent job talking us through the cocktails while he was making them, he is a beast. Highly recommend.
