There are 5 restaurants, including French and Japanese eateries, as well as a rooftop bar and a cafe/bar. There's also a sauna, a gym, a hot tub and an indoor pool.
The service person was very nice. The room I stayed in was amazing too. I’m going to come back here in 2024. Best hotel in the country.
The views of the city are amazing.Unfortunately the service was slow and they have no baby changing facilities.
Everything was awesome about this hotel except that there was a girl in the reception who refused to supply milk or milk powder. I needed to make milk tea every morning which I could not make for 3 days on which she did not supply the milk/ milk powder. Rest of the days it was supplied by the reception/ home service.I still recommend others to choose this hotel compared to others.
The room decor was rather boring. Even though it is located in the city center, the service was rather unappealing. But the view from the room was majestic.
The Blue Sky Hotel is in a prime tourist location to most of the Ulaanbaatar city center area. The restaurant (The Blue Sky Loungeon the 23 floor is beautiful but service is slow. The food needs some love and not overcooked. The chicken kebabs were soggy and not very flavorful. The chicken tenders were overcooked and dry. Drink menu was lacking. The seating was decent. Bathrooms have a great view of the city.
Here for a conference, great location and attentive staff.
Well, heres the truth about my experience- we had to visit because we needed to exchange Tugrik to US dollars at the TDB bank inside. And I had to use the toilet in the bathrooms located inside the lobby. The TDB bank is super friendly and exchanges Tugrik to US dollars very easily-little paperwork necessary. And, the toilet in the bathroom lobby was convenient, clean and very much needed in time of desperation! The tower is pretty from the outside, inside is nice- maybe one day I will stay here🤔Good experience!
Excellent service by staff, classy lobby decor, and overall very comfortable visit
Not a 5 star hotel, at best 1 star. Hotel ambience and lightings are terrible. Lobby is low class and cold. No amenities in room. Bathroom is terrible layout with terrible florescent lightings. Gym and spa is run down, broken tiles, looks and feels dirty. This hotel needs total renovation with interior design consultation
Amazing experienceSuper-Cordial staffsFlexible yet professional! The GM Mr. Chowdhury is an excellent collaborative person
Food was terrible. Some staffs was broken. Everything is too old. TV is small and bad. Air cooler is noisy. Some controllers are not work. Worst hotel i have ever been in UB.
I am isolated for 5 days at the Blue Sky Hotel due to work requirements. This hotel lacks all the basic necessities for a 5-days of 55 hours long journey.-The Internet is slow, and attachments take ages to open. In fact, while I was trying to leave a comment, I had more than 16 times lost connection.-Room service doesnt serve with any coffee. All they have is cheap packaged coffee you never wanted to put in your system. Today is the 1st day of the morning, and I just cant imagine the next full 4 days to be here.-Its -25 Celcius outside, and the fan doesnt work correctly.-The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable.-Has ventilation in the bathroom but doesnt work.I dont understand how this hotel received over a 4-star review on google with damaged tables, desks, bathroom tiles are off the grid. I dont even want to brush my teeth in here. I could go on, but Im not going to waste any more time. If you are not majorly bothered by the cleanliness of your room and want to lay down, like staying in the hotel all day + night, this is the place for you. However, if you are a more productive type, care about cleanliness, and work from the hotel for a few days, this is not it. DO NOT STAY.
The staff was very friendly and spoke English which was helpful. The hotel itself was designed well and looked quite nice. The rooms were very comfortable, but parts could have used some cosmetic touch-ups. That said, they are doing upgrades. The room I had booked through a third-party app ended up being under renovation, so the staff upgraded my wife and I to a suite. It was very spacious and had enough room to feel comfortable for a long time if needed. Id stay there for longer than just a night if I ever get back to the city. The free breakfast was minimal, but now because of COVID, its held on the 23rd floor restaurant and offers some amazing views of the city centre. The price was also very reasonable. A nice spot to spend our honeymoon.
Rooms are pretty comfortable with one of the better mini bars found in UB, the breakfast menu is limited but the food is decent. Good options for meals having four restaurants and a cafe, Wall street bar is also in the same building and the staff have always been friendly and helpful.
This place is a big disappointment.First of all, this is not a five star hotel. They falsy advertising 5 star, but in reality it is only 3 or 4.The location is great, and the only reason for my repeated stays. The view is also good. The breakfast is like any 3 star hotel. Many of the rooms have issues. I have change room many times. Most common reasons is bathroom/shower issues and strong smell of smoking. At my last stay I prepaid my room, but they also took a deposit on top. They wanted to then give this back in cash on check out. Not very convenient if you do not want cash or are traveling out of the country after the stay. There is a zero trust in you as costumer/guest.I have also been locked out of the hotel as the doors was locked and the receptionist sleeping. If this happens to you, I recommend waking up the night guard at the parking on the east side of the hotel. He can get you into the building through the basement.
Loved the restaurant. For some reason the bathroom in the bar has one wall made entirely of glass.Sure, youre too high up for anyone to reasonably see you but its still a very strange feeling to pee when so completely exposed to the entire city.
Fantastic staff. Comfy duvet beds. Strong water pressure. Delicious buffet spread. Strategic location right opposite Parliament square. Great sunrise/sunset views.
The concierge was incredibly responsible and willing to help. But how pleasant the stay is, really depends on which floor you stay I think.I was staying executive king room with the corner view at 12th floor, and if it were a little bit noisier I would have not been able to sleep.I was expecting the view from the catalog(website), but the window was covered with dust and very opaque. Only one window was really transparent. No doubt this place can be the best place to stay in Mongolia, but experience is not 5 star honestly. If Im staying there again, Ill make sure that the room is located in high enough floors(13+), and Ill stay in normal room(not even deluxe). If I want view, I can go to Lounge anyway.Sounds like Im angry, but Im very satisfied. Best stay I have ever had in a while. Good bed, kind service and nice location. I personally didnt experience rusty water, which seems to be really rare.
Nice view, expected from a 5 star hotel. The servers seemed nice. However, they did not have any Mongolian food for my dad. We ended up leaving after looking at the menu. Ulaanbaatar has so many good options for food that I didnt want to waste my time there.
Although drinks were reasonably priced, especially at an iconic tower such as the blue sky, the cocktails were rather lackluster and could have been better in terms of taste and presentation. View over the city skyline was great as well although the glass panes need to be better maintained and cleaned. Service was good though and the service crew is proficient in English.
This hotel rocks! We were treated really great. We arrived at the hotel later in the evening, and the staff kept the pool open an extra half hour for us. Since we were late, we ended up ordering room service, all of the food treated great, and here is the getter ... The amount of the food on the plates was generous, so much that we couldnt eat it all. The rooms are really clean and spacious. The bellhops are ready and willing to help out. The included buffet breakfast is really outrageous, they had one of the larger selections that we have experienced. Being all you can eat is a bonus. Highly recommend a stay for anyone visiting.
A great Hotel with everything you need under the one roof. Staff were helpful and were more than happy to arrange postage for us. Its great having the different resturant options in the hotel for nights you dont want to go out. Our room was clean and well resourced.
This review is for the restaurant on the 23rd floor. I have eaten here several times. On the most recent visit, three of us ordered a bunch of appetizers and made dinner out of them. Beef skewers, chicken wings both excellent. Pizza was mediocre. Good selection of beers and other drinks. Great views of UB after dark. Live music after 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
Great location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff! The location is the selling point, lots of restaurants in-house and nearby, includes Gym and pool. However they need an in-house spa and massage service. Hopefully a partnership with a Tourist van service is also in the works! Overall always recommended
