The Black Tiger in Amsterdam

This is a very relaxing place to drink where it serves freshly chilled Heineken in a frozen glass. It’s perfect on a warm evening where you can enjoy a cold beer with a view of the canal while the windows are left open. That’s what me and my brother did and it was our favourite part of Amsterdam.

worst barkeeper ever. ordered two drinks, one from the menu and he made it wrong and he made the worst whiskey sour ever.

Great place to grab a window seat and people watch in the red light district below.

Bartender went out to smoke so you were not possible to order at all times. The pool table was great as well as the cold glasses. One negative was that if you ordered less than 20 euro with card they charged you an extra euro fee.

Sweet place! Cozy atmosphere. Lack of air-conditioning tho. Might get a bit hot on the upper floor on warm days.

I had a much better time at this bar than any other bar in the world, and Ive been to a whole lot of them. I still wear the t-shirt with the black tiger logo..thats a lie. It wears me!

Went here 3 weeks ago and the atmosphere is good. Price is affordable but the downfall less 1 star is the attitude of the waitress. Did not got here name though.

Very comfortable place, more trendy than next door pubs, sport channels available, they also have smoking area.

Only popped in for a quick drink will wandering around on our first night. Bar had a nice feel to it. Be aware on card payments under €20

Cant buy your own smoke here but youre more than welcome to smoke it so long as you buy a pint or two.

Smack bang on the red light district. Typical prices, clean , great staff. Has a dingy downstairs back smoking area with poor reception sport tv for the rollers. Bit pricey.

Definetly have a drink here, plenty of character to go along with its seasoned atmosphere.

Good bar. Heineken Beer. Different bartenders in different times that makes it a little weird. Some of them are good, some bad, and some OK. So your experience could be altered.

Decent bar, if you are lucky to grab the window seat, you have a good view of the hustle and bustle and what the red Light District is all about...alternatively you can stand on the stairs outside, and take in the atmosphere, you might be lucky to meet a beautiful stranger standing there chilling with u...as long as you don’t take your drinks on the street you would be fine.

Super cool bar. Overlooks the main street of the red light district so if you get a seat by the window can be a really cool place to hangout and people watch haha

This is an irish bar. The decoration is impressive. Everything is thought to be cool, chilly. Nice beer, many brands. The only problem is to go alone. However, I thought that if you are a poet or writer like me, you could rewrite a couple of lines or verses, while drinking a cold beer. A bit expensive.

Just stopped in for the one, good music good atmosphere. €12 for a beer and cider. Good staff. 🙂

Dentro al bar è presente una zona fumatori dove è possible divertirsi guardando una partita di calcio mentre si beve un bel boccale di birra.[🇬🇧] I went there twice with my friends during our staying in Amsterdam, the bar is situated in the centre of the famous Red Lights District. The blonde barwoman is kind, funny and always smiles. Inside the bar there is a smoking room where is possible to have fun, watch a soccer match while drinking a beer.[🇪🇸] Estuve aquí dos veces con mis amigos durante nuestra estancia en Amsterdam, el bar se sitúa en el centro del famoso barrio Red Lights. La barwoman rubia es amable, simpática y sonríe siempre. Dentro del bar hay una zona de fumadores donde se puede disfrutar del tiempo mirando un partido de fútbol y bebiendo una cerveza.

Great bar, you can also smoke at the back in their designated smoking room, so no need to go outside. There is also a pool table so this really brought some life and competition to my night!

Cool bar. The atmosphere was very lively, which is unsurprising given its location.There is also a pool table inside, which we made use of. It was ~€2The drinks were quite expensive, but youre expecting to pay more when youre in the centre of everything.

When I come here, I love to sit in one of the big windows! I promise you you wont be bored for a second, watching all the people pass by. Its often loud and crowded, but the atmosphere is really relaxed and informal. One of my favourite spots in the busy red light district.

Great bar, with a view. Bartenders are awesome especially Laura and Mahela. Spent back to back days at the bar, just kicking it and shooting pool. Drink prices are fairly priced.

Great location. Staff were happy to assist you in knowing about the area if you were unfamiliar with it. Drink was reasonably priced with some nice offers. Pool table could do with new cloth but it was never a problem. Constant business throughout the night with passing pub crawl groups and patrons alike.

A bar with a smoking room that satisfied the requirements of our group. Alcohol maybe a little more expensive than elsewhere but they have chilled steins for your beer. Staff were cute if not overly friendly but I guess you have to deal with the type of people you get in here being on the main strip of De Wallen, near the Moulin Rouge. Definitely a fairly drunk rowdy crowd.

Had stopped by here for a pint before hitting up the District. Decent views of canal and that across the canal, but remember it inside as a wooden floor and table feel, kind of homely and creaky.

The bar is located in the Red light district. Its a nice sport bar, cozy and spacious. Two floors as well. Also they have smoking area inside :)

They blamed me and a friend of mine of steeling out of the tip jar.The manager sad he had seen it and had it all on camera. When the bar girl found the 5 euro she was missing, there was nothing like an excuse towards us.PS. on the other side of the channel is a bar called excalibur of you want a good evening go ther and do not waste your time on the black tiger.

Take own beer glass and lysol, if you dare- The worse place on the strip. The upholstery had embedded dirt, damp mildew smell in the back but I figured since I was in the red light district most places were the same. How wrong I was. We order a couple of drinks, a beer and a screw driver, too expensive, then I found a roach in my beer. The bartender/french Opera singer, try to make a joke and said I have eaten bigger bugs than that. The cabbage patch Heidi looking bartender was very condescending. Somehow my roach had turned into a mosquito, by the time the female manager showed up. She said they dont have bugs and it flew in from outside. Guess what genius? That means you have bugs, regardless of how they got into your bar. I initially waited for the Owner/manager but he refused to come down and address the problem. I was told by the bartenders he was watching on the cameras in his office and sent a woman to cover his butt. I didnt get a refund nor an apology. My fault for not holding on to my roach beer until a decision maker showed up. If you gave a review of more than 2 stars, you need to get out more. Black Tiger sucks, kill yourself for even thinking of going there!
