We went in for a beer on a Friday night. The place was hopping but not so crazy we couldnt find a seat. They offered some beers from breweries in the area. Waitstaff was good. Service was good.

Good, live music and friendly service. Selection of Irish beers on tap along with local craft and a few popular brands.There is a nightly dinner special. Hamburger special was good.

Worst service I have ever had. Atrocious service, music was too loud at times but made for a fun atmosphere. Food and drinks were really great, if you were able to get service.

Got there too late for the kitchen but the drinks were great. Great atmosphere!

Been in twice in the last couple of months. Both times coincidentally on a Tuesday, beef dip special. Something has changed in the kitchen for sure. First time was a novelty beef dip cooked like a calzone, tender and hot hot hot. The second visit I didnt burn myself but ate the salad first then tried to eat the sandwich. It appeared no attempt had been made to trim the meat so teeth alone could not cut the strands so the meat pulled out of the pastry. Flavor was fine just more attention in preparation is needed.Finger food turned into a knife and fork experience.Staff were awesome both times, like I said just shortcuts in the kitchen. Lots of competition in the surrounding blocks so not sure if it just the difference between high and low season or just another sign that businesses are cutting back even more to weather this downturn.

We rented the Caribou Room above the Black Clover for a wedding reception. The whole experience was excellent. The Banquet Manager, Chelsea was approachable, responsive, accommodating and a delight to work with. Food was outstanding, on time and more than enough. Bartenders were speedy and kept up to the crowd. Definitely recommend!

Although the beef bone I ordered was tough and stone cold, and the service was slow and horrible I would go again as it was a busy night. I have had great food here in the past.

Not impressed with the rooftop. 15 tables with 1 waitress on a Friday night. Was about half busy. Didn’t get service for the first 20 minutes. Forgot our drink orders. Drinks and food all came at the same time another 30 minutes after ordering. Not impressed on a “busy” but not busy night. Food was good and okay but hard to justify how slow it was

Service was alright. Food was good and priced well. Dont have the sauce with the hand pies....o my goodness. Its the worst

The food here is fantastic! Someone knows what they are doing! Atmosphere is very old school, but that’s kinda what you expect right? Parking is ok as it’s downtown. Staff friendly and prompt.

It took a lot time for them to prepare the food even though there were not much people in it, the bacon was too dry and chewy and the lettuce was awful, for a 18 dollar burger, I would expect more. But for 6.5 dollar on Thursday, well, that’s a fair price. I really should check those review before going to this pub. Well live and learn.

Lots of great food. The wings were very crispy as I like them. The bacon in the ceasar salad was very good - I think it was their boar bacon. Great service even tho it was packed.

They will literally fill it up and keep offering more and then when you cut yourself off and leave they will make back handed comments on how intoxicated you were. My brother in Christ except the 30% tip! Or it wont be coming back 🤷

Good establishment, plays Kanye (unlike crossroads), bartender also doesn’t argue with me. Has Strongbow on tap!

The entertainment was really good and I liked the atmosphere. The one thing I didnt like, and that could just be reasoned with the NHL game that was going on and the place being busy, is that we tried to order some food for an hour and when the server finally came, the kitchen already closed.Still would recommend this place.

Best food Ive had in a long time! Probably shouldnt have drank so much though, I dont remember leaving!!

Very nice rooftop patio.Unfortunately, the serving staff needs a lot more training...I have some sympathy for restaurants trying to find staff, but if you cannot handle a slow afternoon crowd...dont open the rooftop...!I am not a restaurateur, but I would suggest that each serving person is assigned a group of tables to handle, then make the rounds ...find out if they want food, drinks etc..fairly basic.I hope they can get a handle on the basics because it was a sweet spot, and the staff that did connect with us were friendly, just not able to coordinate an order.

Ordering, food, bill took forever to come. We had to chase down the staff. Table beside us left because no one attended them

The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Our group was there after a big event and the number of diners was much greater than was expected for the evening. Even short staffed I think they did a great job. Highly recommend for a tasty meal

the bartender mike was the coolest ever and his caesar’s are the best i’ve ever had definitely making another trip here just for them!

Great food, fair prices and friendly service..Irish themed decor but, the highlight is probably the live bands and the upbeat personalities of the people!

$$$ Guiness on tap. Portions are big, the paddies nachos were pretty good. Nice pub atmosphere, now hosting live music.

This is my very first comment I have ever had to feel I need to write. My daughter brought me to this bar the first time. ( few months agoShe knows how i enjoy live music. That was the first reason I came back. The food there was fabulous whether appys or main. That was the second reason. Two thumbs up. The staff has always been polite and serve you as quickly as possible depending on how busy they were at the time. Understandable. This evening was no different until I wanted to ask a question of a young waitress. I asked "excuse me can I ask you a question"? She did reply. "I can answer any question that you NEED to ask me". It was said rudely. I replied. "Never mind". Only because she made me feel like I was bothering her. Àfter that I could not get another drink. I wont be back now. I am close to being a senior and was in this kind of business for many years.Thank you to the bartender that did serve me before the conversation with the waitress. " Kevin" I called him Carelton. She had to have had clout cause I didnt get my next drink even after ordering a few times. I was enjoying the evening up until then. Left by 10pm. This was only my 3rd time in this business. I love to support local but at my age and the cost of everything now I expect kind service to be great. Not to feel like Im bothering you.

Everyone was great and not racist at all! They were definitely busy and had alot on their plate. Also anyone who doesnt say something when they sit down should expect to not be served especially in this environment. Will definitely be back.

Worst experience ever! Even though they are Irish but I felt most racist people ever and only serve white peoples..No greeter, sat at the bar for 20 mins, no service. I tried to talk to server and she totally ignored me.Never going back to this place again!Highly suggest everyone to spend your hard earned money somewhere else..

Service was slow, only one server working, who repeatedly messed up on our orders. Drinks she brought had fruit flies on the garnish. And I now have food poisoning from the pulled pork sandwich of the day.

Best atmosphere for watching a game or listening to live music. The North American pub food is good but if you go for traditional old world pub food youll be much better off. The unique menu items are really great. Also, possibly the best outdoor eating area in PG on their rooftop patio.

Visited the bar last night to have drinks, near the end of the night I got “cut off” due to being diabetic. How I manage my health shouldn’t be up to the establishment. I had everything on me I needed to manage my condition. When asked to repeat himself the kid avoided me and hid behind his manager Adam who backed him. Personally disgusted with the black clover allowing their staff to discriminate patrons on their medical condition. Lost my service for life.

Had a great night food was good wings were delicious. I always come here for the staff they are awesome. The biggest issue was the lady who ordered wings and demanded they be packaged up in a to go bag. She demanded a discount because they were “tasteless”. It’s like why you want the wings so bad to take home but you hate em enough for the discount. Kinda put a damper on the overall vibe.

The wings were over cooked and so small.. they were tasteless and beyond dry.. they wouldnt credit our bill either.. the pattie Nachos where burnt and poorly made and the sour cream dip was very bland and tasteless as well not worth the money they charge!! wont eat here again

Bartender was great super nice fella. Love the decor it was cozy. Unfortunately the food was not so fantastic. Burnt burger and the chicken club was super dry. Neither of the people that ate the meals took more then 3 bites. We would have talked to our server but we had the food to go. Im sure it is a one off experience. Everything else was great.

Generous alcohol portions. Good variety of food and drink. Relaxed environment. I went with a small group and all our food and drinks were delicious. I got the veggie burger and it had thick slices of tomato. My only complaint was the mushrooms were burnt to a crisp. I couldnt even tell they were mushrooms. However the burger tasted great without them. It came with a generous side of salad. Definitely recommend

I was greeted very friendly. The drinks that we had were fantastic and for the most part freshly made from scratch which was a nice change. All I can say honestly about the food Is that it was something special absolutely delicious and a little different which was good too. In closing I would like to say thank you to the staff and the people that run the place all around a great job

The bartenders Mike and Erin are fantastic people, and very friendly. The overall atmosphere of the clover is great, as with the prices theyre about what youd expect anywhere else, not too loud but just enough to enjoy while you have a nice whiskey. I never did have anything to eat while I was there this trip, so no comment. Cheers till next time clover.

Roof top dining , delightful giant beef rib 12$ bbqed... peach smash and shishkabobs were a hit defenetley going back

Food is always great and our server was helpful and friendly. The only thing is we should have been warned how much food was in each of the servings. Servings are larger they you expect. Thanks again Troy for an awesome and best roof top patio.

The first time I ever went to this place was when it very first opened. I had two really bad experiences that lead me to not come back for a while. I went and visited their new rooftop patio the other day, and I couldnt be more happy to see that the Black Clover is now one of my favourite places to be in Prince George. Great people, great atmosphere, and AMAZING food! The cocktails are great, the beer is even better and I have to say I am VERY proud to see how far the Clover has come. Well done guys, Ill see you very soon again :)

Absolutely deadly food. Ive never ordered the same thing twice and its been absolutely outstanding every time. Delicious! We go out of our way to come here every time!

Awesome Irish pub. The best steak sandwich I have ever had, not even close.Lots of Guinness and Jameson kicking around. My new home away from home!

The rooftop patio was such a relaxing and inviting experience. Both my mom and I agreed that it felt like we were in another city. The char grilled food was so delicious! Great flavors, and very attentive friendly service. We will absolutely be back and have spread the positive word to friends and family.

Fantastic place to go for drinks, food, sports, or just good company. Went for my first time last night and didnt have a single complaint. My beer was cold the atmosphere was great and the staff awesome! The food was all really interesting too, Ill be heading back to try more of it. Staff are seriously great there, they are knowledgeable, fast, and great for a chat. Also they dont take nonsense. If a girl is getting unwanted attention or the boys have had a bit much to drink they step in when they should. 10/5 would go again and bring my friends.Shout out to Mike our waiter and bartender!

My new go-to for Sunday brunch. The fav so far is start with a scotch egg, then potato leek soup and a Reuben sandwich. The staff are friendly and professional. The grapefruit beer on tap is a bonus, perfect with brunch!Upping the rating to 5 stars, enjoyed it that much today :)

I love the wings. Server was super great and nice. Not quite fond of the Pot Roast personally; it just wasnt quite what I expected, but I didnt really know what to expect really. It tasted good, but it wasnt as tender as I thought it should/could have been.So, yeah, back to those wings. Those glorious deliciously cooked, crispy and flavourful salt and pepper wings. I would go back for those wings every day. Oh, man. There are two missing in the picture because I had to stop and take a picture after we bit into them.
