Small place, but worth visiting

You can buy some great looking potery. All hand made at the location..Prices are quite reasonable.

The shopkeepers were nice and they allowed us to go inside the pottery studio, which was great.I was personally just a little underwhelmed, but it was overall still a nice experience.

This area has a traditional style of ceramics, black. When you go to the store, be aware that even if they produce there (at least the one in the back for sure), still everyone sells various ceramics originating from other areas including Bulgaria. So ask for what you want and before you buy.

Its a wonderful place with various hand-made black ceramic products unique in Europe. They have a various and beautiful products, from bowls to vases and elaborately crafted handicraft ornaments. I urge you to cross their threshold, because you can also see the creation of the products live, in the pottery room. ❤️

The museum is nice, but definitely dont buy anything from there. ITS A SCAM. They just paint normal ceramic with black pain. I bought a flower pot that left black pain on my table.

The workshop was closed but the shops were opened. I bought some nice objects for realy good prices.

Almost everything is not hand made, you can find it anywhere. Not worth the time.

I got a bit late and there were only the shops opened (3 of them), but they have good products and they look lovely! The price is decent for most of them.

The traditional craft of Marginea black ceramics is unique and one can observe wheel throwing live as well as purchase souvenirs.

This was a big disapointment. Apart from the fact that workshop was empty, so no production in action to be seen, we simply didnt like the ceramic. Looked cheap and funeral like, althought that is our subjective feeling. Basicly all you get is a souvenir shop in front of a parking lot. Had I known, I would prefer to dedicate the extra stretch of drive for Putna monastery.

Its mandatory to see the traditional workshop

A bit disappointed with my visit. I love the black ceramics of Marginea, but many of the products seemed either rudimentary in design or too kitschy. Plus, the potter met by me was so blasé...

Nice place where pottery tradition continues, unfortunately there was none of the potters at work when we visited, but the shop was open and we bought some traditional objects made from clay.

Wonderful institute. I was there in 2014 with the team of IOAA. Inside there you will see, how can a Potter makes Pottery. I bought one piece black pottery from there.

Must visit location in Marginea, near Rădăuți city, in Bucovina. Black ceramic pottery, rather unique. On some days you can also see someone doing the pottery work as they are producing and selling in the same location. You should definetly visit this location and also get a souvenir as the prices are very reasonable.

A good place to stop on your way to Sucevita Monastery. Is a family business for two decades and you can see the joy of this people to make this black pottery.

We did a trip around Bucovina and we’ve been impressed how the black ceramic tradition was preserved. Impressive. We recommend visitors to spoke with staff to find out more about history of the place & ceramic makers and spend sometime in workshop.

Perfect for a chance to see expert potters at work.Especially fascinating for children.Most items in the shop are cheaper than what you would find at festivals.If you plan to buy some traditional clothes, the small shop across the street is slightly cheaper than the bigger one near the ceramics complex.

Nice shop with great selection of beautiful merchandise. You can find wide range of mugs, pots, kettles but also little souvenirs. Really worth visiting.

At the workshop you can see and interact with the guys working there. Quite a unique experience. The process of making the black ceramic is also shared.

Its cool, you have the chance to see a different type of ceramic, which is a one of a kind in Europe. You can see the workers build with black ceramic, and you can buy items of that too. Outside, theres a restaurant where you can order Romanian food, I recommend.

Shopping for "foreign" tourists. It is possible to see how the potterry is made but nothing more. The variety of pottery is very small. There is no connection with the traditional poterry made in the Moldovian area. Nice 15 minutes stop but nothing else. Better to save your money for bigger shops.

Seeing the whole process of production was a unique experience. Also, the souvenir shops were selling very well-made ceramic products with surprsingly low prices. I definitely recommend it.

Here you will find several ceramic shops. There is a shop that also has a manufacture. You can watch the whole process of pottery making. In the middle of these shops you have an old house turned into a restaurant. The food there is delicious and the location is nice.

Absolutely amazing experience. The town used to have a great tradition of pottery, in particular the type of pottery specific to the region: black ceramics. Whilst there were entire families who could make these nowadays theres only 10 trained people who still can do it. The skill and speed with which they do it is impressive, definitely makes it look easy. If you try and do their hands on mini-workshop youll quickly see that is definitely not the case. Sad to realise... But fun.They have a shop in their other room full of their pottery and I do recommend it. Got a lot of compliments on the items we brought over to the UK.

An amazing place with amazing staff willing to show you and explain you all the process of making clay potery from a to z for free. You can buy Roumanian potery with traditional motives for very good price!Worth visiting the place.

One can find a large variety of beautiful and unique pots and souvenirs.One can also buy wonderful tea or coffee close to the shops. There are also toilets.

Artisan workshop. Great place full of traditions. The owner, Traian Leonte is a treasure of knowledge when it comes to pottery making. A must visit when in the area. The souvenir shops are interesting. Local traditional food served in the on the spot restaurant.

Great hand made products. You can easy look to the artists working there,ask questions and more. Buses with kids often stop there to see and learn this art. Great shop with medium prices.

Food good,service good but make sure you check all the items on your bill cause you were overcharged. Plus most of the drinks didnt have from the meniu. A bit disappointed.

Nice pottery place, black ceramics obtained only by charring the ceramics, however i have bought a mug from them and i cannot use it for drinking because every beverage will "borrow" a strange taste fromthe mug itself. The mug was cleaned several times but with the same result.

The place is amazing! The ceramics made manual by the workers takes your breath away. The desing combines the old tradition with the futere. In the same place they have a good place to eat where the food is delicios. Please try "ciorbita de vacuta".

You can find a lot of nice ceramics from Marginea but also a lot of products which have absolutely nothing to do with this place. Just watch out what you are buying.
