6 off us went for a meal. The place was quiet. I understand as it is run by husband and wife and only take bookings. The steak pie is the best I have tated in a while and so was the apple pie. Reminded me of the food back home in Scotland. Staff were brilliant. Going back again.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it was the only meal l have ever had that one course surpassed the next, the service was excellent and the menu is so inexpensive l almost felt guilty when l was paying, all the food is home made and it shows, l went back a few days later (we actually travelled down from Mojacer Playaand it was another excellent experience, if youre in the area you should treat yourself to a meal here.

Came here for dinner excellent food hosts Sylvia and her husband so friendly spotlessly clean great prices will definitely be back I had the homemade steak pie my husband had the curry 👍🥰

Great food and polite servers. Menu is good, portions are very generous and food arrived in a reasonable time. I had the fish of the day (hake medallionswhich I recommend!

Visited this lovely restaurant for dinner last night - we have been several times before on our many visits to Vera Playa. But .....The new owners, Sylvia and Tom couldnt have made us more welcome! They are Hungarian but speak very good English! It wasnt very busy when we arrived and they both took time to come and chat to us which was so nice!The food, I have to say, was the best we have ever had here. Freshly cooked, good sized portions and excellent value! Also, the house wine is very reasonably priced.I can highly recommend The Bistro and if you havent tried it yet ..... you should!!Well certainly be back on our next visit to Vera!Thank you, Sylvia and Tom!! Excellent food thats cooked with Love. Portions are huge.The chef/owner always comes to speak to the customers to make sure that their happy with their food. Cant reccomend this place enough.

I had a great meal in the bistro while on holiday in Vera last week. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. I had the garlic mushrooms to start and they were devine. The staff were so nice and friendly, and they spoke English very well, which was a plus as my Spanish is not great. The location is perfect, right by the ocean and I had no trouble parking either. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Vera.

The Bistro in Vera playa is by far my favourite restaurant when visiting family in Spain. The food is amazing and such good value, Ive eaten here several times and I have always had a fantastic meal. The service is excellent and I always feel so welcomed and looked after. The steak pie is a must!

The resteraunt is located on the Playa at Las Salinas / Vera Playa area where there is ample parking.The food choice was more than adequate and the quality and quantity excellent. The service provided was above expectations.This was our 2nd visit to The Bistro during May, and will visit again upon our return later in the year.The Hungarian husband and wife owners make an excellent team. I wish them all the very best with their new business.

Absolutely amazing. Service, ambience, location and food all outstanding.Delightful, family run business, great value for money.A must try is the authentic Hungarian Goulash with warm bread - it was Heaven in a (hugebowl, so tasty and very filling, marvellous. Highly recommend this place.

What a fantastic restaurant find. We went before covid and now new owners so decided to try again. Service impeccable and food was fantastic. Good portions of fresh tasty food and the value was amazing. Will definitely be going again and I recommend that others do too

This was my first time dining here since the change of ownership and I must may that it has exceeded my expectations. The food was to die for, excellent menu and the staff were so professional and welcoming. The portions are very generous and everything was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back to The Bistro.

Good to see it open again, with some of the original staff, new owners but still the same good quality food nicely presented from a varied menu. Warm friendly atmosphere in a clean well laid out restaurant, eat in or outside great service all round.

Hello we came into your restaurant as a table of 5 last Friday and 4 out of 5 of us ordered ribs, just to let you know since the meal and for a few days after the 4 of us had very bad stomachs, we all live separately and this was the first time of meeting for a few weeks so it wasnt something we ate before visiting your restaurant, I have not left a bad review as dont feel that is fair but feel you do need to know!This was added as a bad review as Ive tried to call, email and messenger message the Bistro with no luck .....

Not somewhere I would normally go, but my mother wanted English food. Great service and great food. Highly recommended if you want something a bit more British in Spain.

Had an excellent lunch at The Bistro with friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Will certainly be back for more at the earliest opportunity. Thank you to the staff for a lovely meal and attentive service.

Called today for our weekly visit and we were very saddened to see the owner had decided to close the restaurant. We were greeted by waiter Michael, who informed us that the owner had decided to return to the UK.The food and service was excellent.I only hope Michael and his colleagues find alternative work in these very difficult times.

We went yesterday for my husbands birthday. The food was delicious. Goats cheese and walnut brioche with a beetroot spread, yum. Followed by the tastiest pork fillet with new potatoes and veg, cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place, cant wait to go again.

Had a superb meal last night the pork Belly melted in your mouth . Every course was perfect in taste and portion size . Friendly helpful staff lovely ombience. We even got presented a bottle of bubbly at the end as it was our anniversary. The best part was the bill we could not believe how reasonable it was . Definitely will go again . Highly recommended

Every time we have had a meal here it has been amazing. The waiters are very attentive and quick. The food is a great price and quality. There are lots of yummy vegetarian options on the menu and the fish and chips are amazing. Would highly recommend.

Fixed price menu 14.75 starter, main and desert, also bread and aloli. Great choices, good size portions, well presented. Drinks extra, house wine 10e, pint of beer 3e. Overall a really great meal in a lovely restaurant by the sea..

Went here for Sunday lunch on a bank holiday weekend in Spain, we had to wait for a table to become free but thats our fault for not booking, but we were well looked after while waiting.Good extensive menu with options for vegetarians.Three courses each and drinks cost us 38€ and the food was freshly prepared and great tasting, I would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant at all.

What a fabulous restaurant! Food first class. So tasty and very reasonably priced. Nothing too much trouble for staff who were very knowledgeable and attentive. Excellent wine list. Facilities exceptionally clean. 5 stars from me on all fronts. Advise you book.

The food is great, traditional British style with three courses for just under fifteen euro deal so the value for money is good but the service is really slow so you need to be prepared to be there for at least 2 hours and god help you if you need something extra once you get your meal as getting hold of a staff member is very difficult.The staff are a mixed bunch, if you can get hold of them. A few friendly and helpful and a few who look like theyve been working there for too long without a break. But we keep going back and I guess they know that people keep coming back which is probably why they dont hire a few extra staff!

Really nice place to eat with a variety of food. I believe it to be British owned so you have English speaking people as well as Spanish so ordering is a breeze. 3 course for €15 you cant go wrong. Delicious food.

Attended Abba tribute night with inclusive meal. Food excellent, staff friendly and attentive. The entertainment was led by the talented restaurant manager Spencer with two female singers which, although had Abba content, was somewhat wider in scope. as a restaurant thoroughly recommended.

Took our friends here today, yet another wonderful meal. A varied menu choice at a very competitive price for 3 courses. Attention to detail of the presentation of the food is what impressed us all. The slow cooked ribs and pork solomillo were 2 of the choices on our table and were cooked to perfection. Service very nice, friendly and attentive and what a veiw....sea and palm trees. On a bus route too!

We have been going to this restaurant since it’s 1st year of opening (is it really four yearsand have seen it grow from having a few tables inside to now no room for more. The quality of food has always been good, and the welcome and service has always been special. We will return on our next visit. Keep up the good work Spencer, Richard and the rest of the crew.
