It was a lot of fun. Plus it’s the only original buildings standing. So just to be able to support it is worth the admission.

I finally was able to check out the iconic bird cage theater when visiting tombstone! I had been looking forward to visiting this place since I was a kid and it did not disappoint! Theres alot of history just in this museum alone and lots to see! I was expecting the theater to be bigger than it was but back in those days everything was smaller. There wasnt anything i didnt like about this place. My favorite part of this place is the barshop chair in the back and looking at how well kept the brothel in the back is.If you decide to visit tombstone it should be a bucket list item to go check this place out!

Let me tell you the Bird Cage Theatre is a must see if you are in tombstone. This place is almost completely untouched and is just how it was in the 1800s. For 25 dollars you cant miss it they still have the original poker table from its hay day you have to go.

Its always such a wow factor visiting somewhere locked in time . So of course this place is amazing! We did a daytime self tour so everything was at our own pace, that was nice. If stepping back in time or wild west stories catch ur interest at all, this is one place you should check out . 10/10

A place I have always wanted to go, and I definitely will go again. The customer service was awesome, the people that worked there knew the history and just made the whole experience 110%! Thank you Birdcage Theater for making my husband and my experience over the top. Tombstone is a must see, Birdcage Theater is hands down my favorite place in Tombstone! We will be back next time we visit AZ.

We did not do the ghost tour due to time, wish we could have though. The cowboy working there gave us a detailed history of the building and we purchased some souvenirs. This is one of the original buildings that survived the fire and earthquake. As soon as you walk in you can feel how old it is.

Was pretty cool. If youre on a tight budget I would say skip it this time. But it has a lot of history in there. If you like that stuff. Some occasional nude photos kinda hidden throughout because of the brothel history. So if your kids are with you show some caution. Other than that highly enjoyable seeing a piece of land/history.

A must visit site when in Tombstone, AZ. The museum is $15 per adult, but well worth the cost. There is lots to see inside and very informative descriptions of what you are seeing. This is a self guided tour, so take your time and take plenty of photos. This is the place where Doc Holliday and Johnny Ringo had their famous "duel" by the Faro table. The Faro table is still here.

We really enjoyed how much this place was preserved. It gave us the opportunity to see what Tombstone looked like in its heyday. We also did the ghost tour. Didnt have any experiences, but another member of the tour did.

Interesting little piece of history. So much history packed into a tiny theater. Everywhere you look is an interesting detail. Did feel a lil uncomfortable here due to the vibes but its a cool piece of history of the old west walking and seeing what people so long ago seen

Good place to stop for some interesting information of the place. We did not have time for the tour but the introductory guide of the main hall was interesting enough to get our curiosity up. Maybe next time we will get to go on a tour of the inside.

As one of the few original buildings in Tombstone, we absolutely loved our self guided tour at the Bird Cage Theater. Dad is a huge fan of the wild west, and the Tombstone movie, so the look on his face as he walked through this building, with all its original treasures and memorabilia on the walls, was priceless. A mind-blowing place with so much on exhibit, we could have spent the entire day inside. We loved Tombstone so much, that we plan to return for the Helldorado weekend & for the nightly ghost tour here at the Bird Cage Theater.

What an amazing time capsule- literally the stuff of legend. So much to look at and take in, all preserved and some left in its original state. The best and worst of the Wild West could be found there, and Im thrilled I got to visit! Short introduction in the front bar area and then a paid self guided tour through the rest of the building.

I really love walking through here and seeing this original to Tombstone building. The artifacts inside are very cool to see as well. The employees are knowledgeable and I love listening to them to hear what life was like in old Tombstone. Overall it was well worth the money to get in.One slight issue we had, apparently tour guides that dont work for the Birdcage come through here with their people.1. We were stuck behind a very obnoxious tour guide that was acting as though he was giving a private tour to 2 people. He would not let us by and would stand in front of the things we wanted to see for extended periods of time. We were stuck waiting to go down stairs for quite some time because he was standing at the entry to the stairs and wouldnt budge to let us by.2. Some of his tour facts sounded very made up like he was potentially spreading misinformation about Tombstone and the people that lived there. Very frustrating to listen to for a history buff. The Birdcage doesnt control the tours so it isnt their fault but beware if you come across this and take what they say with a grain of salt.

The only authentic building remaining on that street. It was worth $47 for our family of 4 to go inside and see the original theater with all its 140 bullet holes. Some racy photos in there which my husband enjoyed 🤣. That plus Johnny Ringo grave about an hour away were the highlights of our trip to Tombstone. However, we missed the shooting reenactment at OK Coral. Maybe that would be the highlight…. We did hiking at Chiricahua National Monument and Johnny Ringo grave, which was only 28 mins away from Chiricahua NM.

This was a fun tour! The tours are an hour and a half long, including the 30 minutes darkness time to welcome the ghosts to make their presence known. Our guide, Karen, was knowledgeable, humorous and a delight. Highly recommend this tour. The history of the Bird Cage is interesting and youll even see evidence of some of the lawlessness from history (1880s bullet slugs in walls and the bar).

Always a fun experience. Took my daughters on the ghost tour they had a great time. They also have the self guided tour that is cheaper but we enjoyed learning all about the birdcage and tombstone. So much history. Staff is very friendly. Trish knows so much of the history and it is always great to hear everything. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

Some people come here for the haunted experiences but I came here for the general history (to my understanding, I didnt see any ghosts). The place is nearly all original with the original foundations and man does it show. It was also fun looking for all of the bullet holes scattered throughout the building, most of them being on the ceiling and upper walls, 1 on the bar counter too. Theres an attendant who will tell the story of the building every couple of minutes to people who just wandered in, and theyll answer any questions you may have. Beyond the entrance room requires $15 per person to tour the rest of the building, which I felt was a little steep but I suppose it goes to maintenance and conservation. Pictures and video is allowed, if not encouraged (they like seeing the "ghost pictures"), and youre allowed as much time as you want. There is a gift shop at the very end.

Did the ghost tour with the manger and his wife (sorry forgot the namesand it was awesome! I came a bit skeptical but after what I felt and pictured I left a little more convinced that there is something else out there. I’ll let my photos do the talking. (No, these are not reflections, we took multiple photos and this didn’t show in any other pics.)

Amazing place to hang out and take a guided tour. So much to look at and learn about. Its like going back in time to the late 1800s. Our tour guide was awesome and you could tell she loves her job! 1.5 hours and a great bargain for the history lesson. The amount of original artifacts is mind blowing. You could easily spend a day here and not see everything it has to offer. Very knowledgeable staff. Make sure you use the restroom before going on a tour as there are no public restrooms. Its said to be quite haunted and while we didnt experience much activity the kid had a great time and the lights out period of the tour was really cool! I highly recommend this if you are into history. Great value for the money and one of the coolest things we did while in Tombstone !!!

It’s a step back in time when you enter the Bird Cage Theatre. One of the only surviving original buildings on a historic street, with a wild and bawdy history of its own. This spot is famous for being haunted, and the hosts are proud of that reputation. We chose a self-guided walk through versus the hosted ghost tour. The memorabilia inside is plentiful and interesting. Dusty old furniture, tools and personal effects of the local VIPs, miners, merchants, cowboys, gunslingers and saloon gals from days gone by. Educational and authentic, but is it haunted? My answer is...maybe.I’m an empath and I’ve had many unique experiences in several places, both historic and commonplace, over the years. Here, I felt some very strong energy in one spot, and lesser energy in a few other spots. That said, I can’t claim that these vibrations in the ether equate to active or “intelligent” spirits. Intriguing, yes, and it made our visit that much more fun. We also had a interesting conversation with the gift shop clerk, who has no doubt that there are unseen folks who still reside in the Bird Cage.At the least, it’s a slightly creepy museum of “preserved decay” and a slice of the old American Southwest. Go and decide for yourself about the ghosts. 👻

My husband and I came here for a haunted tour at night. Karen was our tour guide. She was very pleasant but we had a rowdy group. They kind of ruined the experience for my husband and I but we caught several things on camera and an evp! It was really exciting and scary at the same time. But at the end of the day we had a blast! We would do it again for sure. (Our photo is not edited, only zoomed in)

Any early 90s girl worth her cardigan had two crushes - Gavin Rossdale from Bush and Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday in Tombstone. Since that movie my dream has been to visit the real Tombstone and the real Bird Cage. We made it, visited the lobby and paid for the night tour which includes a full tour and history of the building and 30 mins sitting in the dark to call on the spirits who reside. I am still damaged from the Blair Witch Project so I took in the tour and history and took my chances with the street ghosts while waiting for my partner to finish calling on spirits in the building. Amazing place with Old West history. Dont spoil your trip by looking at pictures inside. Wait till you’re there and take it all in for yourself. Worth the money for the night tour!

The Birdcage is famously known for its history during the wild wild west. Weve always wanted to do this tour and it was something else. It definitely is not for everyone but was quite an experience. It would have been nice to spend a little more time reading the descriptions of all the displays but I understand it was a tour and a schedule to follow. We had a great guide, cant remember her name. Made the 3/12/2021 8pm tour.

Please come visit the Bird Cage Theatre in Tombstone AZ! Thanks to Ghost Adventures from the Travel channel we decided to come here. Love the ghost stories and the feel of going back in time to the year 1880! We got lucky and got a room at a haunted hotel right across the theatre so we had the pleasure of not only visiting but stay up late at night on the balcony having some drinks, enjoying the cold weather and keep an eye at the theatre after hours. There is so much else to do here, watch the gun fight show, tour the mines, kareoke at the saloons, etc. I can say, there were unexplained sounds, eerie feelings of someone in our space, things we did see and cant explain. But. You judge it for yourself! Lets keep this town alive!👌🏻☠️

Tombstone is fun and has a variety of options for entertainment. For me the Bird Cage Theatre is the main attraction but I’m partial to old historical buildings. It’s so very very cool to walk around in there and feel all that energy from long ago. So much of what’s inside is original right from when you walk into the front door. The floor is from back in the day. I only wish they’d let us walk up into the boxes up above. The downstairs bar and poker tables are original as are the couple of rooms adjacent. I get goosebumps walking around in there. I love it! 👍☺️

First time Ive been to this place and it had an eerie and ethereal vibe as soon as I walked in. I like how everything was preserved and intact as possible to keep its historical authenticity. The people that works there are awesome and very respectful. The ghost tour at night is definitely worth experiencing. Its seems that the ghost there a very nice spirits and answered some of our questions.

Definitely recommend checking this out, so much history here! The self guided tour is available at a very reasonable price, they offer military discounts. Not the best for kids, depending on their age anyhow. Strollers are not able to go through (but you can store it inside while walking throughand theres not a lot of hands on opportunity for the littles. So much remains untouched, its truly a unique experience. Even if you dont pay to do the tour, pop in and check it out, theres a lot to see even in the main room and the staff do an enthusiastic and informative presentation.

Wow what an historic place. It cost $12 to get it in per person and it is rather small inside but theres so much to see you can spend the afternoon in there looking at every little knick knack. Its crazy to think how much happened in one building. I definitely recommend it. Even though you could spend a lot of time in there I ended up spending only about 40 minutes. Enjoy tombstone.
