This is a great breakfast spot. Fantastic baked beans and truly great coffee.

Honestly charging 1.25$ extra for almond milk… is crazy. Why profit on people who have health conditions and allergies? 50cents up-charge at other coffee shops is enough as it is.

The atmosphere is great but it is too bad that the food was subpar. We ordered eggs benny, and everything was undercooked, the whites were runny and the potatoes were so undercooked that I had to use a knife to cut through them. I couldn’t even eat them as they tasted raw. When I mentioned it to the host, he rolled his eyes and asked if we wanted fruit instead. Pish! But hey, the presentation was great.

Honestly thought this place would be the bomb.I made a mistake coming here , looks good from the outside.Coffee was not that great 5$ for a cup full of foam and some espresso (supposed to be cappuccino,at least try some basic Latte Art. 2.50$ for a dry cookie made from recycled old pastries,aweful . I will not come back here sorry .Guys sorry for the review that’s the vibe i got.This place is over rated and should up its game quickly.

We ate here a couple times while in Penticton and the food was good both times as well as the coffee. Very friendly service.

Cute cafe. Perfect for delicious morning breakfast followed by tasty coffee. Not greasy. Pretty busy but wait is not long at all. 10/10 would recommend

This is a cool, hip place to grab a coffee, snacks, and a meal. We got an iced caramel latte and an iced caramel macchiato along with 2 donuts a mega cookie. The donuts were delicious however the cookies tasted stale. The vibe of the outdoor patio is great. Wish they had more vegetarian options on their menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Visiting from out of town and it was a great experience. The coffee is absolutely delicious! The host was very kind and efficient, making sure that everyone is taken care of. The food isn’t cheap but the portions are good and the ingredients were high quality. Would definitely go back!

Awesome foods for breakfast and lunch. Brunch on weekends.Healthy fare, fresh and a busy large patio with umbrellas if youre avoiding the sun.Its above the downtown restaurants. Great place to eat or meet up with others.Lots of cycling and hiking at the KVR, Kettle Valley Railway.Im embarrassed. I dont have any handy photos to share. Even though Im 3 doors down.Lots of unique exotic products inside. Incredible coffees etc...

My wife and I had the sunny morning plate here. It was perfect for us.The staff were kind enough to replace our toasts with hash browns upon request and they did not disappoint. Instead of hash browns they presented us with delicious (roasted?potatoes and sweet potatoes. Even better!The patio was lively when we arrived and the inside had air conditioning for those who prefer to dine indoors in the summer months.When we return to Penticton, we will be eating breakfast here again.Enjoy!

Unfortunately, I cannot find much good to say about this place. We went after reading several good reviews and a seemingly impressive menu. We ordered and waited to be served, while enduring several irritating comments from the server. The food arrived and was so lackluster we were basically speechless, and the cappuccinos (they were NOT cappuccinoswere terrible. My boyfriends meal consisted of 2 cold hard boiled eggs (from the fridge), a bowl of mushy fruit, 2 strips of bacon, a piece of cheese and toast. We paid $22 just for that. I was horrified and we felt so ripped off and left still hungry and in a bad mood. Cannot recommend and am still mad about this.

Absolutely worth the drive. My children loved the "breakfast plate". I enjoyed the "breakfast burrito" and I also loved the cranberry bread. Amazing vegetarian choices. Very welcoming. Will be our stop every time we are in Pen.

Not only was the food delicious. But the ambiance is cool and hip. The greeter. Was probably the best part about the place. Kept everything in order and insured we knew how to order and the process of getting the food.I had the brunch special. Sausages beans and eggs. It was really delicious the place was clean. The washrooms are spotless. And it was a great day to sit outside with plenty of bike storage.

We came here for breakfast/brunch, and got the salmon eggs benny, the bench breakfast plate, and the bench eggwich, and all loved our dishes. The service here was great too - it was quite busy but the owner did such a great job of managing the flow of guests and communicating the order process here to new guests. Overall a very good experience, and would definitely recommend dropping by.

Best eggs Benedict of my life! We came here because we were disappointed by our last visit to Wayne and Freda and wanted to try something else. Great choice. Iced mocha was so good and the ham Benedict was the best of my life, amazing. My wife had the burrito and it was very good as well. We will be coming back!

Kept giving this place a chance, but every time I am there prices seem to go up, i understand the inflation times we are going through but it does not justify the prices, food portions or quality.Staff needs a course in hospitality.Also there is a useless small tiny table in the middle of the restaurant that is simply a waste of space and ruins the experience for anyone who is cursed enough to sit on it. Kindly use that table as fire wood. Cheers

By far the best breakfast weve had while on vacation. The salmon Benny is absolutely UNREAL and the Bench Waffles are to die for. Will definitely come back next time we visit.

I’ve been traveling with my wife for the past couple weeks throughout BC and this was by far the best breakfast we’ve had. The smoked salmon benny was unreal, and the waffles were amazing. The atmosphere and service are also top notch which for us makes this a 5 star restaurant all day long.

Excellent espresso and coffee. A little too strict for current COVID conditions makes it less comfortable to visit than comparables.

We had the yoghurt and granola and the bench burrito. They were both delicious! And the salsa with the burrrito is a must! Adds such nice flavours.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The server for the patio was very rude and gave us so much attitude. She was showing her frustrations with her coworkers to us for the seating arrangements. Everytime we asked for simple things like water, cutlery, etc she looked annoyed. It was a really hot day and some of us were already sitting under shade and the server took away our umbrella. I definitely don’t recommend this place. Go somewhere else! There are lots of better places around.

A nice place to get some amazing brunch or even just some coffee or tea. They have a patio that you can bring your dog with you and they provide a bucket of water as well.

Was not happy, with service. Waitress had blonde hair and brown pants she was working outside the patio very rude and not friendly, Made the whole trip unpleasant.

Very good food, had the breakfast burrito with extra chicken - was absolutely delicious, most waiters are very helpful and cheerful.Would have given a five star, however one of the waitresses (a blonde girlwas extremely rude and angry, she was throwing a huge tantrum publicly and kept moving our table around to force us to sit in the torching sun because she “had to” arrange her patio her way and we were in her way. As a business owner myself, I personally think she is a liability to such an amazing business and is really damaging the restaurant’s reputation.

Unfortunately, we were treated with disrespect by one of the staff members here. Everyone else was accommodating. She just finished her break and saw that her coworkers had moved tables around which clearly irritated her, but instead of being professional about it and communicating with her coworkers, she lashed out on us. I hate to think it was some kind of discrimination because we were not her race since the people around us were treated very differently.

Breakfast wrap was delicious👌, they have great vegan options (happy fiance!), and lovely staff. Very dog friendly. Great patio. Good coffee.

Their waffles on weekends are to die for! I would rate 10/10. We were quite disappointed they don’t have any waffles or pancakes on weekdays though.The veggie eggs Benedict were also very good. And the grilled cheese was delicious!

Great spot for some delicious and wholesome quick eats! A lot of different wraps, paninis and breakfast sandwiches (amongst other things). They also have a small grocery and other small items for sale. Recommend!

Lovely spot for weekend brunch. Staff is super friendly and efficient, coffee is delicious. Food is tasty. What more could you need? Also have a great grocery section and take out food.

Such a great little place with a variety of food. We went to have breakfast and the plates were big enough that my husband was full! And the coffee was superb. I would definitely go there again

Omg the service was so incredible. The food was delish and I didnt feel too full or cheaped out, perfect portions. Coffee was also great. I highly recommend this place as the environment was warm welcoming even the other customers were friendly. The dish I got was sausage and egg breakfast and im satisfied

This place is fantastic. The host (which might be the ownergreets every party and controls the flow of people so you never feel like youre waiting. Even at the busiest if times. All the staff are super friendly and accommodating. They were highly focused on ensuring proper social distancing and in a very effective way that also made it feel like the bistro was serving your party alone. Food and drinks come out fresh and fast. But nothing feels rushed. Weve had their sandwiches to go and this time dined in for breakfast. Have amazing food choices such as bowls and paninis and burritos. When visiting Penticton. This is a must stop.

Friendly staff, good taste, but I hate it when a breakfast place cannot cook eggs in a way you ordered. I asked for medium poached eggs (dont judge me I dont like runny eggs hahaha), repeated a few times to make sure, still got super runny easy poached eggs.Eggs are the basic and essential for a breakfast place imo :Otherwise Id give 5/5

We are big breakfast people, after research and reading all this overrated reviews we decided to drive all the way down. I m sorry but we left that place very disappointed. Please take a look at my breakfast picture ughhhh it wasn’t worth it at all. The owner was very clearly pressuring us to hurry, pointing at our table and telling to people our table will be free any minute. Excuse me I just paid $50 for my breakfast so pls let me enjoy at less my overpriced cappuccino. Not recommend

Cheerful, organized staff. Great food. Clean. Right from the get-go the boss was friendly and interacted with guests, making us feel very welcome. Even with a large volume of people the line kept moving and the food was prepared in a timely fashion. Great seating indoors and out. A must visit!

Got a smoked salmon benni. I was delicious. The service was great and I love that all the ingredients are locally sourced. I will be coming back. Love The Bench Market.

Great food and staff! The breakfast was amazing; super tasty beans. The shop itself is so cute! We also got the chicken and Sicilian paninis which are so tasty and huge! It’s definitely worth stopping by.

"A must visit if youre in Okanagan valley" is an understatement. The food is so good it throws you back to those early taste experiences of your favourite dishes. Make sure you go there, you cant go wrong with what you order.

This place is a must! We were sooo happy to have stopped at this place. The food is sooo good and the quality of the ingredients were amazing.We ordered the avocado toast - omg! The sundried tomatoe spread makes all the difference and with the free range eggs. The flavours were explosive. Loveee it!

Mommy had a yummy smoked salmon Benny and they let me hang out on the patio. Someone called me beautiful and brought me a jug of water! Local fresh yummy human food and coffee and very dog friendly. Woof approved.

A wonderful little cafe at the edge of Penticton.Wedged between houses, this cafe has a nice homey feeling.They have a wide selection of items, from coffee, to sandwiches and soup, to dessert, along with other small local grocery items.

Fantastic food and amazing coffee!! The retail section of this adorable little coffee shop is absolutely fantastic! They carry products and art on the walls from local makers which just adds to the cuteness factor!
