Barrack Square, Riverside Dr, Perth WA 6000, Australia, Kwinana
Landmark modern tower with ringing bells & an observation deck offering city views.
A unique and interesting building. Youve got plently of places to sit and watch the sun set. The view at the top is worth paying for, though the new towers do block it a bit.
The bells within the tower are the main attraction. Sadly, the former government made to egregious decisions: to rip up cement tiles signed by children upon the development of the tower; and to divert traffic from Riverside Drive into onto Barrack Street.
Place has amazing view overlooking the wharf of the ferry boats. Lots of dining place around the area. The Bell Tower is iconic itself.
In a lovely location hard to find a parking spot though 🙂
The Bell Tower is the best tower in Perth. It has one of the best views ever. It was excellent. The elevator was soooooo fancy and had gold plated buttons and free food in it.
An ionic bell tower with stunning view of Perth . Worth a visit
Going here for the first time with my friend was fun. Staff when u first walked in were friendly and in a good mood. I didnt expect there would be so many bells located in the same place (im new to all this stuff).
Its a good tourist attraction, not cheap considering theres not alot to see but still worth doing.Views are great, and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.Lots of parking a short walk away otherwise you can get the Cat bus down from the train station.
Its like a time travel tour given and wonderful staffs. Great art and science 👍 appreciate it
Highly recommended. Tash was an amazing and fun tour guide.
Its located in Elizabeth Quay in Barrack Square, across the road from the Supreme Court Gardens. The shape of the building is quite unmistakable. There are two type of entry, normal entry to look around or a tour which includes a session to ring some bells yourself.I went with the bell ringing tour just to see what it was like. The tours are every 30 minutes so not much waiting if you did want to go. The tour involved learning about the history of the clocktower, bells and actually ringing these old bells yourself. Bell ringing is harder than it looks, we just went for a couple of minutes but some of these bell ringers go for hours. The tour also included entry into the bell tower, heading to the top observation deck, to look at the belfry and read about the history of the bells. It was an interesting attraction. The views were nice. It wasnt overly tall so you didnt see past the buildings but it was a nice view nonetheless. There was also an automated bell ringer on the top level which rings for a gold coin.
Beautiful architecture.
I dont even understand why this place even exists ..Nothing remarkable about this tower that Im aware ofI cant even call it a tourist attractionIll be quite surprised if anyone is willing to pay for the entrance fee
Fun and informative hour or so exploring the bell tower and learning the history of the bells - from the oldest ones (16th centuryshipped over from London to the biggest bell made in Aus. Our tour guide was good, a nice woman from South America who had cool boots.
A great inner city beauty and wonder. Draws attention both day and night. Safe to walk around late in the evening
Great place and excellent experience, you get a certificate to say you are an experienced bell chimer.Recommend buying tickets online so you don’t need to wait too long and you can go for the extra commemorative coins to get a free engraving at the Perth Mint.
The iconic attraction in Perth, the Bell Tower have 18 bells hanging in and built 82.5-metre-high. The tower is also known as Swan Bell Tower.A great place to visit with kids!
A very ugly building erected to house some old bells from the UK a resounding waste of money.
This has to be one of the most iconic places in Perth. The architecture is amazing and seeing the giant bells is absolutley amazing. It is definitely worth it buying the full tour to go all the way up and even ring the bells! The only issue is that the tower is now obstructed by the ugly hotels near the river, you cant even see it from South Perth! But overall, a great place!
Awesome spot for bells and also as a romantic spot get an engraved lock to put on fence. Josephine and Jessica was amazing staff. And the view from the top was unreal
Great place to take kids both big a small. Be sure to book the whole experience tour, so you can try and ring the bells yourself.
The towering glass spire of The Bell Tower located where Perth meets the Swan River in vibrant Barrack Square, is a touchstone for Australian and international tourists. The Bell Tower is one of the largest musical instruments on earth and was custom built to house the historically significant bells of Saint Martin-in-the-Fields Church, the parish church of Buckingham Palace in Trafalgar Square, London. These royal bells date back to before the 14th century! One of Western Australias most unique and visited attractions, The Bell Tower offers tourists fascinating displays on these famous bells and the ancient art of bell ringing, as well as stunning views of the Swan River from the sixth floor open air observation deck. The Bell Tower is the only place in the world where you can view bell ringing in action or where you can even have a go at bell ringing yourself in one of their interactive Bell Tower Chiming Experience tours. In addition to the royal bells, the Bell Tower is also home to the 6,500kg Anzac Bell. Watch the Bell ring at midday for 1 minute.Located at Barrack Square; just a short five minute stroll from the City of Perth.
Bell Tower is so cool with the history it has! Also caught my first Moltres here while playing Pokémon GO!
I used to live in WA. I miss living on this side of Australia but luckily I still have ties and I must go there for meeting with the marketing agency for my online store. This place is worth the visit. It is the only place in the world that lets people actually ring the bell. My kids used to love going their.
The open hours is only from Thursday to Sunday. I havent got the chance to enter to the building. Just a photo outside the building is good. Its located close to the city center and next to Elizabeth Quay.
A truly iconic landmark and well worth a visit. A must stop in Perth. I visited at night with less people and got the changing colour which was awesome.
Excellent... enjoyed our visit. We got our Love Lock to fix our padlock to chains @ The Bell Tower.
Iconic Bell Tower in Perth WA. The only Bell tower in the world to allow the public to ring the bells!! Joined the tour which included the ringing of the bells. Tour guide Jeff was very bubbly, friendly, informative and helpful. The lady also at the front desk, very polite and friendly 😊 Little one had a great time as did myself. View from the top was amazing! They also sell padlocks which can be engraved and hung on the fencing/bollards leading to the entrance of tower...very nice touch. Keep an ear out if youre ever around, the bells ring at noon 👍🏽 if youre in the area, pop over and have a look. Thanks guys 😁
Had not been since the day it opened. Took the 5 yr old grandson and did the Bell ringing experience. FABULOUS. Friendly staff, knowledgeable and helpful! Great gift shop and the $2 coin bell souvenir the best for a young person to add to the coin collection. What a wonderful view and great exercise walking the steps.
Ive visited in 2015 with my children. The Bell Tower is the must see tourist attraction. There were lots of things to see including Love Locks. We enjoyed the hearing of the bell ringing here.
I came here with my family and friends in 2010. so beautiful garden & lake, that time I felt so peaceful here, I could sit around the garden and looking at the beautiful sky.
Nice place to hang out. There are many food & drink options just across Elizabeth Quay. Swan River is beautiful.
The Bell Tower is something different to see in Perth. We hit it probably about the right time (1130as the anzac bell strikes at midday and there was a bell ringing group in too who played just after midday. Decent views from the top and an interesting read, particularly enjoyed reading about the origins of how we started measuring time, something I took for granted. Worth a visit.
A must to visit when visiting Perth. We shot a wedding at The Bell Tower. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem and they went out of their way to help and assist us in making this an amazing day for the bride and groom. All guest enjoyed the lovely view. The one additional benefit is the light breeze that keeps everybody cool. Would recommend you have some refreshments for your guest. There are also toilets located in the building a few floors down. This helps a lot with large groups of people.Highly recommend The Bell Tower.
Nice Architect .. iconic point in Perth City. Neaby to the Jetty point to onboard boat for Rottnest island. Walking distance from the Perty City Train station
This is a pleasant surprise attraction that was unplanned. Firstly the views on top is fabulous. But the Bell tour was excellent, they made us ring those vintage bells plus we walked from the 6th floor to the ground floor and it was informative and very interesting. For only A$18 per person which includes the your its well worth it. You gotta go see it 👍👍👍
Living in Perth for more than 11years, this is one of my favourite place to take visitors. This time it was even more special as the staff at bell tower (Johnwas very welcoming, helpful and friendly. He even offered us a video post card...it was so much fun doing it..it was almost closing time so we missed ringing bell session but we still made the most of our visit.... Its an amazing place and a must see place in Perth.
This is Iconic spot is Perth, This is one of the numerous spots you should visit in Perth. You can see a stunning perspective from the highest point of the ringer tower and Inside the chime tower, there are a few stories where you can discover ringers of various sizes and sound. Last Sunday get an opportunity to visit this spot, Its my first time yet trusts me its value a visit. An extremely awesome encounter clubbing the ringer tower and seeing the general population ring the chimes. There are numerous accounts related to ringers. Great view. Best around evening time. Should cause multi-day were you to compose one occasion that has much brilliant landscape. Trust me. A decent landscape, included with pleasant lighting with a lake view would make this spot life-changing, particularly for the traveller. Drinking fountain likewise can be added to the fascination. Certainly justified regardless of a visit. Delightful view from the highest point of the chime tower and the staff are staggeringly well disposed of. The visit control Howard gave an excellent prologue to the historical backdrop of the ringers. Would return. Profoundly prescribed this spot. Such a fun encounter! We took a short voyage through the ringer tower and found out such a great amount about chime ringing and the historical backdrop of the ringers there. The labourers are excessively neighbourly. The shop first floor is extremely enjoyable to investigate. It has bunches of chime related things and trinkets. Watching the chimes getting rung and getting the opportunity to evaluate the ringers yourself are certain features of the visit, just as the great perspectives you get from the distinctive chime tower levels. I unquestionably prescribe visiting the ringer tower and investigating the spots around it!
Great place to visit. Spectacular views, staff also very friendly and only too pleased to tell you about the area and the bells in the tower. Glad we managed to fit this into our visit to Perth.
Good place to go and the guide was brilliant.we did the full tour. I was able to wind up the clock and ring the bells including the royal bells
Such a fun experience! We took a short tour of the bell tower and learnt so much about bell ringing and the history of the bells there. The workers are super friendly. The shop downstairs is really fun to explore. It has lots of bell-related things and souvenirs.Watching the bells getting rung and getting to try out the bells yourself are definitely highlights of the tour, as well as the awesome views you get from the different bell tower levels.I definitely recommend visiting the bell tower and exploring the places around it!
I never knew there is so much knowledge behind the chiming of bells. The educational demonstration of bells with the hands on practice of pulling the rope to chime the bells is fun and a great eye opener. The structure is modern housing 18 bells of different shape and sizes placed in upward or downward position to produce different texture and tone. I am totally in awe.
Architecturally interesting, it is worth a visit but don’t expect too much. Quite Interesting for all the aspects but it’s not the higher building of the city , and they are building higher constructions all around , the panoramic experience should not be you primary interest
I arrived just after it closed but it looks really interesting from the outside. Definitely a landmark. And there are all these locks that couples have placed on the chains around the Bell Tower. There are these little fountains in the wrong with coloured lights and a nice place to sit and relax. Lots of restaurants are nearby.
Really enjoyed my visit. The walk up the tower offers lots of interesting historical information about Perth as well as really beautiful views of the city. You can also get a coin with tower imprint as a souvenir. The tower is quite tall, so if you are not good with heights, you may want to skip the actual visit, but you can still admire it from the outside :Very picturesque at night time too (as it is illuminated with multiple changing colors). There are other nicely illuminated landmarks in the area surrounding it, so evening walk in the area is also very enjoyable experience
Nice view of Perth also Photos I have taken for Monument month [Recap] for Google Local Guides Connect Meet-up, The bell tower has lots of historical history
A very unusual building housing the bells you can get to the viewing level either by lift (lazyor take the spiral stairs (exercise), great view over the water and Elizabeth Quay unfortunately a lot of the view over that area will be obscured by tall residential block by the Hilton and Ritz-Carlton groups, illuminated at night like most of that area
Nice place to visit. Not to expensive (around 10$). You can see the bell ringers in action and do up the 6th floor to enjoy the view. A big thank you to the nice gentleman working there that explained everything about the place to me.
The kids just loved the bell tower, going up, seeing all kinds of bells, ringing them, and viewing gorgeous views from the open 6th floor.
Very interesting story about the bells being donated from a church in England. I had an opportunity to ring one of those old bells. The views of Perth are fantastic
