A nice place to visit, polite staff and our meals and deserts were also nice. The tables were clean, menus tidy and the atmosphere was nice too.We have pre-booked for a group of us on new years day 2023, lets hope that the meal is just as nice again, if not better.

The Bell is very roomy and caters for everyone that likes great food and - in my case - a good pint!! Staff were really one the ball.

I was very impressed with the refurbishment it looks a lot better only thing is the price of the drinks are a bit expensive now

Party of 6 had meal on Fathers Day. Told only had table for 1 hour 15 minutes, so not too long, therefore not enough time for ordering 3 courses. 2 of the party ordered 2 courses, breaded mushrooms for starters which we waited a long time, they were frozen inside so sent back, waited along time for replacement and were overcooked and scraggy little broken pieces, all mains came out and had 20 minutes to eat up for our allocated time, 2 steak meals were not correctly cooked to order, too much hassle to send back, rest of meals were fine but we rushed to eat as table was booked after us. Went and had drinks over at bar area only to see that the table was still free so didnt need to rush our meals. I have eaten here alot of times and always been happy with food and service but on this occasion wasnt good so wont be eating here too soon and definately not on a special occasion.

Staff was very friendly, only thing not much on the menu due to closing for refurbishment.Brilliant

Been there quite often and they have a nice range of gins and ciders. Reasonably priced and always somewhere comfy to sit.

Really really poor Sunday roast. Microwave veg, frozen potatoes, turkey offcuts. Extremely disappointing for all 5 of us at the table, really not quite sure how people have provided 4 and 5 star reviews.

Had a great meal for a good price. Its not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and I was happy with the cost (have paid more in some places for a far worse meal). Food was excellent and staff were patient, polite and helpful and there was a good atmosphere all round. It may get a little louder with drinkers later in the evening, but when we were there early evening for a meal it was busy and still OK. Will definitely go again and do recommend.

Ive not been in the Bell for about 25 years until this visit. Been to a game at the Bescot and wanted a bite to eat before the drive back (to Oxfordshire). Booked a table on line with ease about an hour before we arrived, the table was ready when we got there. Ordered food at the bar, food was hot and tasted good. It was a busy Saturday night and the service was great. Well done to Adam and his team.Just a quick dont forget to add your reg to the console for parking, there are plenty of signs telling you to do this.

Its a Marstons pub. If Carlesberg did pubs.... this is a Mitchells and Butlers Marstons Pub, and not a Mitchells and Butlers Premium Country Pubs. As far as hit and miss can be with a Marstons pub, this pub is really nice. The food was great, We enjoyed our starters and mains. It was,, an all round, good experience visiting the Bell. We were not disappointed in any aspect of our, driving passed, last minute decision to have dinner out, at the Bell.

At the suggestion of my son who has dined here before, we made a reservation for Sunday and had excellent service. The Sunday roast was possibly one of the best I’ve had eating out for a while and I was pleasantly surprised at what I felt was excellent value. 3 adults and a child and we had between us 3 starters, 3 mains, 1 child main, 4 desserts and 6 drinks (all non alcoholicall for under £80.00. Car registration required and plenty of parking. I can see why so popular and would personally highly recommend.

We had an enjoyable experience at the Bell, the food was very good, try the chicken, bacon and avocado salad. Did not have room for a dessert afterwards .

Nice family pub, but expensive, a pint of Carling £3;85p. Could of gone down the road and got it £1;00 cheaper,especially on a Monday.

Usually do lunch here first time for brunch this morning and definitely will not be the last. Piping hot and delicious. Lovely atmosphere as usual staff are always friendly 😊

Excellent food, fantastic service, attentive staff. BBQ Chicken wings starter was crispy and hot. The main meal was presented well and on a hot plate. Great pub food that rates above average in my books. My partner and I highly recommend this place. 👌

Wow what can I say, the service was excellent. The chicken wings was divine as we had this for starter and the main was also presented well. Compliment to the chef. Executed well. To wash my food down l had lager and blackcurrant. Me and my partner will defo be going back to The Bell 🔔 👍🏽

Very good service and food at an excellent price. The steak is always cooked to perfection:-)However, when we visited on 28/6 we did not like the abrupt attitude of the female behind the bar. She stopped my partner from walking away from the bar towards an area we wanted to sit in. (None of the tables in the area had a reserved sign on them).My partner was embarrassed/felt as if he had done something wrong?!!The ironic thing is we had booked and stipulated the table we wanted to sit at. However, they hadnt bothered to put a reserved sign on it..most bizarre 🤔Please, whoever you are try not to be on a power trip. I havent seen you before. However, your male colleagues are ALWAYS polite and respectful, learn from them or get some training in customer service.

Very busy with longer wait than normal for food, but the staff were very attentive, helpful and kind. Will recommend to others as food is also fantastic

The service was very good, the food was good. I had a problem, I had an offer of a free bottle of prosecco because its my birthday however the system would not let your staff member give me the bottle because they are cheaper on a Friday, this makes no sense and I lose out because your prosecco is cheaper? Needs sorting.

Food was just terrible. They sent me dried ribs no sauce nothing had to send it back to the kitchen as order a fresh one. Staff where friendly but very rude when came to serving us drinks and when we asked about outside heaters we was told someone would come to turn them on put no one came instead stood on the bar chatting to one another. Apart from that cocktails where nice and worth the try.

Had a great meal in the Bell. Took my wife sister and mom and dad. We all had different meals. And everyone was perfect.. Staff were very friendly I. Ive been to this pub a few times now and its service and food has always been perfect

Visited yesterday with my partner. Staff were so attentive and food excellent. It was busy but everything felt so organised and we didn’t wait long for our food. Generous portions and flavoursome. Will definitely be returning when we visit the area again. Thank you and to Jordan behind the bar - her customer service skills are excellent!

Recently made reservation in order to use premises for a wake. This being a difficult time was made all the easier by the Manager Richard, who was so courteous and considerate. All requests were accommodated, staff wonderful. The day went well. Often go for meals at The Bell, lovely environment and meals. Highly recommend.

Really nice venue with reasonable priced food. I had the katsu chicken burger. The chicken was very nice and juicy and the sauce complimented it well. Service was good and no real complaints to make. Only criticism is how close some tables are to each other but its not a major issue.

My first time at the Bell Inn (20.12.21)Well impressed with the only 2 girls on shift at time I visited, 1pm. Quite busy but the service on the ball.The meal itself also fantastic.Looking forward to returning.

Dropped in on a Sunday for a pint and chips. It was very busy, so a popular local pub, but service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Good atmosphere, great range of beer, reasonable prices. Chips were hot and good quality, though the portion was on the small side .

Absolutely amazing experience! Lovely staff really friendly and accommodating, really cheerful checked in on us loads and generally so cheery! Food was incredible, and price was really good. Loads of options for food, something for everyone. Couldnt recommend this more! Such a difference from the harvester just down the road which was not a good experience.

Went their today Sunday for roast beef dinner . the only problem was it was not roast beef it was stake . and there is a big difference . also the roast potatoes seam like they had been cooked several times . although it was hot . my partner Marianne enjoyed the vegan sweet . Berry tart . but that was it .

Got there at 21- 45pm. It was pretty busy. I ordered fish and chips, with a cappuccino. Wonderful service,aand quick too. 😊 👍

Lovely food at a reasonable price. Good menu including a vegetarian menu. Excellent range of bottled ciders and 2 on draught including my favourite Aspalls. Also a good range of cask beers. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Love the open fires and smell of embers.
