The Beehive - Coffee shop in Montepuez, Mozambique
the coffee is good, the place cozy but what makes the real difference here is the staff. outstanding service both times me and my partner went, the people working there are lovely. i learnt later on that the cafe is supporting community and isn’t only about profit which makes me want to support it even more. thank you so much and we’ll be back.
A nice place for breakfast and/or coffee. It can get crowded on the weekends and the queue gets quite long, as there are only 2 persons working in the whole place. Vegan options available. Wheelchair accessible. Some sitting area outside in the park.
Wonderful, warm and cosy place with amazing food, tasty coffee and fantastic team!
From food to service its top notch. Cant fault the place.
Coffee was excellentFood is lovelyService is impeccable!
Great atmosphere, lovely people, fantastic coffee
15/10/22: a lovely stop off on out Bethnal Green Ale Trail. The Beehive is a not-for-profit café. Profits support those in the community who are looking to develop new skills in a safe supportive environment. We opted for a double espresso, whichnwas delightful. Hot, strong and flavoursome. No, not all espressos are the same, and this was a good bean! Quick and friendly service, was quite busy, but we were takeaway anyway. I would have liked to have seen the sale of fresh local honey and maybe some bee memorabilia. I would have been tempted to purchase a bee pin badge and some honey.
Good coffee in a nice environment. Pleasant seating outside. Pasties available.
Delicious filter coffee (at 3:30pm!and friendly staff! will be coming back
Best banana bread Ive ever had! Coffee is good, the menu is diverse, all in all, it would be a great place to grab lunch or a snack, but the service is rather slow no matter the time of the day or what I order. Sometimes I waited a good 10-20 minutes for a pre-made pastry and coffee. The result is that I dont go there as often as I would like to, only when I know I have time.
Friendly place for coffee, pastries and snacks. Contemporary interiors. They have outside table and chairs in Paradise Gardens. It was very buzzy when we were there. Excuse the pun!!
Excellent pastries and v good coffee. Lovely staff, adjacent to little public park. Go!
Coffee was top notch. Nice leafy area with outdoor tables adjacent to a park. Recommended if in Bethnal Green.
Great place with amazing espresso based and filter coffee which the staff really care about. Their small. lunch menu is high quality and fairly priced, everything Ive had has been really tasty. The staff there are some of the nicest and always have time for a conversation. The fact they have a laptop free tables is really great as it stops people from cluttering the small space upstairs with their work, if people do want to work though, there is great wifi and a large, airy room in the basement.
A nice little coffee shop with some café food before 4.00 pm and free wi-fi which works (but youre expected to go downstairs, still nice).
Maybe Im just a dumb American, but it was really upsetting to walk into this cafe where they proudly share that theyre a nonprofit community hub, only to feel immediately ostracized for being a foreigner. I admire the gall the white cis male appearing barista had to talk so negatively about some others community to his customer counterpart with such volume but immediately felt uncomfortable and confused to why the 2 other very kind femme-appearing baristas were left to do all of the brunt work during this long-winded and ignorant conversation that was blatantly slowing down the production flow.
Its the perfect place to work and grab some good food. I loved their roasted vegetables and hummus sandwich. Their outdoor space is surrounded by greenery and very relaxing.
It was buzzing! We were lucky with weather and had our excellent coffees and pastries outside in the park.
I was just passing by and thought I would get myself a Late. The vibe and atmosphere in here is really something else. Excellent and friendly service from all the staff members. Thanks 👍
The slowest service experience of my life. 25 mins from entry to exit for a pre-made toasted croissant (that was still cold in the centre& iced coffee. Most customers evidently go there to socialise and chat. They need to implement a different queue for people ordering to actually go. Getting a coffee on your way en route shouldnt take more than 8 minutes maximum. Friendly staff doesnt make up for slow service.
A very Warm and friendly place, weither meeting for a chat, catching up, studying, working or to just sit and watch the world go by with a choice of refreshments in a chilled and inviting atmosphere.
I am very disappointed with the shop. I had no opportunity to enjoy my mint infusion I paid for, because the staff member approached me and pointed out to a note on the table reading something about laptop use hours. I was told I am not allowed to use my laptop in the shop. I was asked to go to the basement to use the laptop despite no available table. So, I left without even receiving my paid for drink (you owe me one but I should not enjoy having it in your controlling environment). I do not enjoy being imposed on other peoples nonsensical rules. You just lost a great client. Good luck with your over regulations.
Nice coffee, really friendly stuff, I come here often to work in work pods. Simple place with good vibes. 100% recommend!
Really nice coffee shop. Just love it✨
Local coffee shop right next to Bethnal Green station. Have tried just about every coffee shop in the surrounding area and The Beehive and Ozone Coffee are the only two that I regularly find myself going back for - when considering the coffee. Coffee is very affordable and they always have a good selection of cakes, biscuits and sweets to go with them. The team behind the counter are really friendly and it has a cool local buzz about it (not a pun)!
Lovely coffee made with care. The ladies were really welcoming and friendly, and theres a nice garden to sit in too. Will be back when Im around the area.
Cute place, incredible latte, very good food and super friendly staff. High quality for surprisingly low prices. Can’t recommend it enough! You’ve got to go if you’re near by.
Very child friendly and welcoming cafe. Sandwiches were tasty and cakes were good value.Much better and not as busy than some of the surrounding cafes. Worth popping in for a bit of calm.
This is a great place to chill, with good WiFi, friendly staff, good coffee, a variety of spaces to drink it. A small upstairs space, an outdoor space when the weather, or Covid rules insist, and a cool space downstairs, with varied seating, and power outlets if you need it.
Great service. Great price. Lovely coffee shop
Good light food and drink selection for the size of the venue. Options for vegans etc. Nice mix of inside and outside seating. Friendly service. Clean. A socially minded business that is worth supporting if you happen to be able to spare cash for a treat out.
A very cosy modern cafe. Tea and coffee excellent and delicious food savoury and sweet home made cakes.
A nice little cafe, its very small but there is plenty of extra seating downstairs and you can also make use of the outdoor park seating. Staff are always super pleasant and friendly. Was a life saver for me during lockdown, they did take away and could sit in the outdoor park space!
Nice coffee shop with friendly service. Would definitely return if in the neighborhood.
Chill and airy atmosphere. I prefer my espresso a little shorter but it was smooth and tasty, and the lime and coconut cake was tangy and sweet, delicious. Friendly and speedy service, and you can sit out on a bench in the little park alongside (or the slightly bigger one across the roadso plenty of space for distancing. Batch filter also available.
The great vibe of this place could be felt as soon as you closed the door behind you and took a seat. It might look a bit cosy but there is extra space available downstairs and a shelve full of books (my weakness though I didn’t know about it till it was very late and was on my way out ). The staff is extremely friendly and nice. I had the soup of the day with black coffee . If I didn’t have other plans, I could have sat there for more time trying the other delicacies of the cafe . They also do a great offer for Pod space if you want to work ..coffee and cake is priced in the deal for use of the space. The social cause adds to the feel good factor of this place. Worth a visit for all you coffee lovers as well as the ones behind great social initiatives ..a big thumbs up
Great little place with friendly staff and nice home baked goods. Good coffee options too and fairly priced
Great food, affordable prices and totally independent. A fun place to catch up with friends, and is conveniently only a 1 minute walk from the V&A Museum of Childhood.
Since I’ve been here in London, I’ve never tried such a good coffee! I’ve been there casually for a quick coffee but after having tried it and having seen the atmosphere, I decided to stay a bit longer for enjoying the vibes. Friendly staff is part of it!I would recommend it.
Very nice place to visit. Excellent food, coffee and service.
Really lovely atmosphere! Friendly staff, clean tables, great décor and yummy food. The little one had peanut butter, banana, cinnamon and honey on toast and I had a lemon and courgette cake (who knew itd taste that good!).Thanks for a great space :if Im in the area again, will definitely stop by and try more things!
Very enthusiastic and friendly staff. Unbelievable pricing, though not tasted the food as yet. Small cafe, tables outside too. Clean, fresh and open atmosphere.
My favourite coffee shop. Great food (love their lemon loaf and well-blended oatmilk latteand super friendly staffs. One thing that makes this coffee shop so special is that they treat everyone EQUALLY warmly. They do not reject the homeless, make food for and engage in sincere conversation with them, which really touch me!!!
Very good vibe, and very friendly staff. Some of the best coffee in East London. Perfect to start off your day in the city on a good note!
Great coffee shop with great lunch and smoothies. Lovely staff. The big 👏is for the reusable straw
Really good atmosphere with really lovely and chatty staff. The toasties are cheap compared to other London prices and tasty. Place was busy but they provided deck chairs which I enjoyed! Would go again.
Just had a cappuccino and naughty nata with my wife and the lovely The Beehive. The staff are very friendly and happy to spend a few minutes chatting instead of rushing off to other customers. Very relaxed atmosphere , we sat outside in the sun in the maintained garden. Lovely way to spend 15 or 20 minutes idling away the time.
One of my favourite coffee shops in East London, real cool set of staff. Right next to Bethnal Green Station & of course good coffee!!
Best vegan cake and tea Ive had in a long while, and I love cake and tea ❤️.
Found this little gem while killing some time before meeting friends. It is quiet and they play nice classics (currently playing Phil Collins). I had an americano and a spiced pumpkin loaf. Both were really nice!If I am in the area again I will for sure come back!In the summer it be nice as they have outdoor seating too.
