Regional New American fare served in casual-chic beach-house digs with huge stone fireplace & patio.
Comfortable place. A bit noisy but quite nice on a cold rainy night.
Food is always great. Services is a hit or miss, doesnt seem to be a rhyme or reason to it.
Ambiance and outstanding environment plus food and excellent service.
Cozy and lively environment. Drink menu is awesome! Check out their 50 shades GT it changes color. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. Appetizers are a must - fried polenta and butternut squash baratta. Pork chop was delicious but big so come hungry! Mushroom pasta is my next choice.
Food is always great! Love when they add new things to the menu. Service is lacking, however, and I always feel very ignored by the employees.
Nice casual setting with nice and easy staff. The food is terrific and the vibe is nice.
Overpriced and underwhelming. I have some dietary restrictions, but I was looking forward to the couple of items on the menu that I could eat. However, the "pork loin" turned out to be a plate of sliced lunch meat with a huge pile of mustard in the middle. The squash dish was almost entirely onions. And the polenta fries were basically just six strips of fried cornbread that looked store bought. Everything tasted cheap and like it had come out of the freezer. Its too bad, because the location is great, the staff were pleasant, and interior is really lovely.
The Beach House is outstanding! It’s a little gem, tucked away from the usually hectic Winslow restaurant scene. The food, service and atmosphere is nothing short of stellar. It has become a favorite for my wife and me. I also bring business associates and clients here. I have yet to have one leave unimpressed. The patio seating area overlooking Rich passage is a real treat on a sunny afternoon or summer evening. They also have a great Happy Hour, excellent local craft beer selection and the best calamari I’ve had in years! Can’t recommend more highly!!
Not a good experience for us. A few months back we were brought by our friends who live on Bainbridge Island, who told us right off the bat that the food and service could both be very hit or miss. We were hoping for a hit in both categories.First off, my wife ordered a Manhattan cocktail. Judging by the color of the drink, there was barely any whiskey in it. She took a sip, and confirmed by the taste that there was not enough. Instead of disturbing our waitress who was with another table, she brought it up to the bar to have it remade. The bartender not only sneered in her face when she told him it didn’t taste correct, but insisted on calling the manager over to taste it after he had made my wife a new one and she had returned to her seat. The manager, Taylor, came over, introduced herself, and apologized about the drink. Great. My wife then had to use the restroom, and walked the wrong way. She overheard the manager and the bartender making fun of our friend who has a hearing aid and was having trouble ordering his drink. The manager knew she had overheard. My wife came back to the table and told us what had happened. We had not ordered food yet and we decided to take our money elsewhere. We flagged down our server who hadn’t been back to check on us since delivering our drinks, and she took my wife’s drink off the tab, which was the least she could do.All in all, it is a pleasant place to be in, but our service was terrible and I would even say “rude”. Our server, I did not get her name, was very nice the two times we did speak with her. She did seem extremely apologetic even though she did not fully know why we chose to leave before dinner.
Wonderful atmosphere and food. Service needs a lot of work, we felt like we were being ignored by our server, it appears to be primarily wealthy clientele, so if you dont appear wealthy like us, you might be treated kind of poorly. We noticed everyone else had water except for our table, and the server messed up our appetizer order, and we had to remind him of our dinner order. This was our experience, seems like we are not the only who experienced this kind of treatment here.
The food was delish. Went to enjoy a solo diner and it was perfect. The view was spectacular!
Delicious! Im not a fan of pork chops and this place has made me change my mind about them. Be sure to grab some oysters.
Had dinner here bacon with date was delicious but smoked salmon chowder was too salty and dinner items prices were very pricey
Food was mediocre. We were 4 and 2 friends walked in, so we moved our tables together, and they charged us for a table of 6....mandatory 20% gratuity. Really? One of us ordered a drink that arrived different than ordered. They refused to replace the drink. Not going there again!
Very unhappy with service provided the other night. Took 30 to 40 minutes to get food to the table, and it was partly COLD! Cocktails are NOT what they used to be. Seems like this place is a revolving door for turnover. It just doesnt have the same feel it used to, and it feels like a bunch of kids are running around. Similar issues have happened too many times as of recent, sadly not worth the money to try again.
Delicious food and solid happy hour from 5-6pm.
The cocktails are amazing! The bartender created them himself. We sat on the patio and it got a little chilly. The waiter came out with blankets! It was awesome!
Food presentation was beautiful and priced rather accordingly although the atmosphere wasnt what I was expecting as it was a bit of a louder; even though it wasnt busy.
The atmosphere of this place is wonderful. The bartender, Chris is superb and knows what he is doing! Their waitress, I believe her name is Katy, was an absolute treasure. She might have even been the manage but she truly made our night wonderful. There was a slight mix up with the food, which considering how busy they were was understandable, she resolved the issue immediately, and was really sweet, with excellent customer service. The food is a little heavy on prices but well worth for the quality. Every dish was an art piece.
Great for small plates, desserts, and Happy Hour.
Good food and nice seating. The outside deck has heaters
Waited 2.5 hours for our dinner, watched tables sit and be served and still we waited with no dinner. Had to request our check for our drinks and not as much of a we are sorry for the delay...nothing. So disappointing as we traveled from Seattle to enjoy a nice dinner in a town we heard was so nice. Again, so disappointing.
Love this spot - great ambiance and service. Food is wonderful but please bring back the flatbread pizza and/or other "bar food".
Good atmosphereFood was okExtremely priceyThere is also a 5% automatic service charge
Just found this place. Fantastic! Food is excellent and the service matched! And this is the casual side, cant wait to try the Manor House!
My boyfriend’s dad brought an old friend of his with him to meet us for dinner at the Beach House Bar. They were extremely busy. The food was excellent, but service was unacceptably slow. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar for ten full minutes before even being handed a drink menu, then waited another five minutes for our orders to be taken, and another five for our drinks. After being moved to a table, we waited 15-20 minutes before being asked for our orders. The food was excellent; everyone cleaned their plates— the service was just extremely slow.
We went here with friends for drinks and dinner. It turned out they had only been here for appetizers and drinks before, so this was the first time for all of us to have dinner. Since it was happy hour, two of us had beer and both chose Kolsch on tap, which was $4 and a good choice. One had a house cocktail, an Island Sunset, which is spiced rum, orange liqueur, orange juice, pineapple and grenadine,, and found it decent, The last person had a Mint Julep, which they had never had and wont try again. Nothing wrong with the cocktails, just not the best choices for the people ordering. We ordered two appetizers for the table. The first was Charred Romanesco, which was a hit all around. The other was BBQ Heirloom Carrots, which was also good, but was not as much of a hit.For dinner one friend had two dishes, Roasted Cauliflower and Quinoa, which he seemed to like a lot, and Albacore Tuna Poke, which he also liked. The other friend had Homemade Fennel Sausage Ragu and really liked it. My wife had the Seared King Salmon, which she liked. I had the Seared Pork Chop, which was huge and came with something like a cream of wheat/grits side that was actually quite good. Some of the food went home afterwards, especially my pork chop. We split an order of Kahlua Mousse Cake between the four of us and it was also quite good. The service was solid, the food good to very good and we would go back.
We love this place. The carrot soup made a great dessert.
Loved this place! Delicious food and drinks, the service was great and it was off the beaten path.
Awesome craft cocktails and great food. Perfect for date night... no kiddos permitted
Great food and location, but staff seemed overwhelmed by the crowd.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly service
The beach house staff and atmosphere make you feel right at home. I love sitting on the patio next to the fire pit. Ask your bartender the perfect ginger, you will love it. Best place this side of of the puget sound.
Great bar and grill food, outdoor patio, and fire pit.
Nice place for the older (but still feelin hipcrowd. I liked it a lot but Im still hip.
Decent happy hour. Outdoor seating is great if available. Very good service
Wonderful restaurant! Especially liked the smoked chicken dinner
It was a really good top end restro down mkt lately mostly twenty something brain dead staff that makes you long for soviet era wait staff. Food is good but pricey for value cant get meat cooked anything other then burnt but that is a wide spread problem bi.
Stone Salad w/out apologies - the food was tasty which is why they are getting 2 stars. The portions are not very large, especially for the price. The wait was very long and when we asked the server, Taylor, she kept saying it is coming. After 1/2 hour it finally came. The salad had a stone in it which the server only said, WOW. No apologies, no explanation, nada. Unfortunately they tack on a 20% tip. I would not have left her anything if it was up to me. You are warned.
Great space. Best special occasion resto on the south end of Bainbridge Island. Fresh oysters, excellent wine program, small plates and a great Burger! On warm summer evenings the outside patio is devine. On the right track with new manager who is passionate about offering top quality.
Consistently good, upscale pub food. On a warm evening (OK, we dont get many of themthis is easily the best outdoor dining on Bainbridge - the view alone makes a visit worthwhile. Dont miss the $1 oysters at happy hour. Friendly service, competent if unexciting drinks, buzzy atmosphere with a mix of locals and tourists.
Happy hour is fantastic. Some of the best service on the island. I come often and dont see that changing.
Nice local restaurant, good bar and friendly atmosphere. Great outdoor patio when the weather is pleasant. Creative bar menu options include steak, burgers, oysters, fish, pastas and more. Happy Hour food and drink menu.
Great space, but we were told to leave at 3pm on a Sunday because the place is 21 and over and we had kids with us. I think they could make some kid-friendly areas or something. The place has a lot of space
Beautiful outdoor and indoor seating. Happy hour here is perfect for the upscale (cloth napkinscasual diner looking for a nice view. We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip and the amazing short rib street tacos. They were ridiculously good! Service was prompt and finding a table was easy. Highly recommended.
The inside has a bright beach house theme which lives true to the name. The outside is the coziest patio that makes the diner feel as if they are at home on their own porch. The firepits make it romantic. A perfect place for a date because it has a very intimate feel. Also to note, the musical instrument fountain in the courtyard is a pokestop!
The Beach House Bar is lovely. I was there for happy hour. The prices and the food were great. The ambiance and view are spectacular.
Great location! Food and drinks were amazing. The outdoor deck with fire was awesome too.
Great space with very good service but the food is just average.
A charming restaurant with great service and food. Weve been here twice this month and have not been disappointed. The Wagu Tenderloin was fantastic and Ill have it again when we return with friends this week.
