The Battlefords Provincial Park - State park in Meadow Lake, Canada
Beautiful place to spend the day, camp, swim etc… There are many campsites and places to do barbecue!
Beautiful big lake, private campsites, free firewood. Whats not to like? I just dont understand why in August this park was nearly empty.
Good place to do camping. but Im disappointed the lots of dog poop💩 beside Beach..
We enjoy coming here as a family. Its unfortunate that it is advertised as "dog friendly" when really 90% + of the places families would spend time together are off limits to dogs. A dog beach or dog-friendly playground area or really anywhere that welcomes your furry friend (on leash is fineother than your specific campsite would really make this a more desirable destination for our family.
I stayed 3 days there and it was great!
We stayed in the Center campground with each site separated by trees. Water and washroom nearby, but not showers. Big park and well maintained
Pike lake, what a great big lake.. The Saskatoon berries are delicious and never ending and the campsites are so private yet feel comfortable and safe.. pro tip, just watch out for the seaweed and make sure you dont go swimming with your car keys in your pocket..🙈
Great place. Had a family reunion there and it was amazing. Camp ground is a lil confusing if you never been there. Multiple campsites in one park so if you are number 240 you have to know what site you belong too as there is only 1 240
Lovely campsites, well maintained and very beautiful views
Awesome place to relax and enjoy
Most beautiful lake. South campground is great for those who want a less "commercial" feeling trip.
Nice province park , lake is very kid friendly, could use a few more sanitation dumps but will definitely return!
Last weekend we visited battlefields provincial Park. Its very good place for picnic and barbecue. Specially in summer, its best place to spend a day there.
The camp is very spacious the amenities like the washroom is maintain one of the best campground i have been
Wet, mosquitoes, ticks, narrow site, tall grass…what more can I say! Cute town, good cinnamon rolls at Whitehouse Bakery.
This Provincial Park is the best kept secret of the area. Its located right on the lake with sandy beaches. Its extremely well treed and very large. Theres lots of big open space for everyone. You can rent boats right on the beach, paddle boats and canoes or stand-up paddle boards and kayaks or even pontoon boats that will pull tubes. Theres a store lots of ice cream and a mini golf as well as an 18 hole golf course with a nice restaurant and hotel. This is a great place for a day trip or a week-long vacation.
Wasnt there for the park, but with that being said it doesnt mean I wont hold back on an honest review 😉When summer hits this national park its by far a beautiful and relaxing time, especially when your in need of a last minute getaway or you cant decide where to take your family this year for vacation, well look no further because this is it!! 👍🏻👌🏻-I hope this review helps you out in the long run on your decision, if your undecided on which park to attend this summer!!-Cheers!! ☀️
Great Picnic spot. Very spacious park, great for Cycling, hicking. Also, has a wonderful golf course. Good view Beach and clean washrooms and showers.
Summer went by too quick... see you again next summer!
Very clean, very quiet usually.Great park with clean beach and lots of space in playground with 2 nets for beach volleyball. For childrens play zone as well one on the beach another in water (Aqua park)The only thing that doughty disappointed me were the number of barbeque pits is lesser than I was expecting, not that I had to struggle but Im bit unsure if therell be crowds would they be sufficient. But again this place is usually not very popular.Campgrounds are great as well here and certainly my favourite.
Great camping spots. Great beach. Very nice golf course. Mini golf for the kids and an ice cream store. This park has it all.
A great place to take the family. Beach was great. Lots of places to play or walk. I will definitely be back next year.
The beach is mostly gravel with rocks and the water is all weeds. We come yearly to this lake and since last year the bathroom and shower house by the beach has had no hot water. The showers in the North Subdivision are closed for renovations. So the one and only shower house that is open and works is the centre one sp be prepared to wait for a shower. Also the shower house is terribly dirty! It was like that the first week of July when we were out and again this weekend for Aug long. If you are heading to Jackfiash I suggest you do beach days at Cochin 5 min away. The beach is beautiful, all sand bottom and no weeds. Kids can swim out for a long ways as it is so shallow.
Nice provincial park and many camp sites. Wish has more dump stations and better pavement on some smaller lanes.
So much fun for the whole family! Great little blow up park, but you need to be a strong swimmer or have a clever way to get out to it. Either way, tons of fun!!!
Really great setup (for strong swimmersto play on!!! $10 for a day pass but worth it!
Awesome place to camp, and the lake is amazing!
Water is pretty murky these days, but the campsites are nice and spacious most of them covered by trees and foliage. Pretty good ice cream too.
Very good place for Day tour as well with the kids and family
Its Really nice up here, Jack Fish Lake is great the camp grounds are in the trees the golf course is great. I Highly recommend this park.
beautiful camp grounds! ill be going back for sure 👍
A great park. Relatively clean. Too many huge potholes to dodge with truck n trailers.. Some serious lack of maintenance in that regard. Many nice campsites.
Super great park, lots of trees, a variety of sites, based on of course your camper size and amount of room you need. The store wasnt open, BUT, a smart guy was there in his food truck!! Beach is great, over all, nice!!
Facility is the best. Beach is pleasent sandy. Water with like bit of a weeds, water is warm. Clean washroom, playground, golf. Best to spend time with family.
This park is incredibly clean and very organized loved every minute of and will be back for Sept long
I took my family here for the weekend for my sons 4th birthday and we had so much fun, there were hardly any mosquitos and the campsite was huge.
Excellent place for barbecue, swimming, beach volleyball, boating, canoeing, RV, camping, fishing, mini-golf, senior rates available.
Sunset at North Battleford Prov. Park view from Beachside Boat Rentals
Perfect getaway from the city during all the craziness in the world today. Campsite was well cared for and had all amenities a camper could want. Beach was big, perfect for the whole family. Well be back!
Nice camping facilities all around
Great park whether you want to visit for a day or to go camping... Has trails, great golf course, mini golf, boats and beaches.. I know it’s a public area but wish they could do something so that the geese weren’t right on the Main beach. There are other beaches..
We camp here for 3 days, July 2019. The campsite is good, the camp staff is friendly, you have to drive to go to the beach when you are in South part of the camp. Beach is great and big and can accomodate a lot of tourists, only thing is there is no shower room near the beach.
This is the best lake Ive been to. The camping spots are spacious a d have lots of fun spaces and nooks.
Lots of things to do while camping. Nice sites though a bit hilly if you have a trailer.
This is a very good place to camp. Ive always had fun here but take this warning seriously. There is a rock pile in the middle of jackfish that everyone needs to be aware of when boating on the lake. I have personally hit it and its not fun. Other than that it is a very good park that is well maintained by its amazing staff and the conservation officers on site take noise complaints seriously to keep you and your family comfortable and happy. The sites are a very comfortable size and can fit a good size camper.
Lovely fall colours ... No park fees after long weekend ... Great place for picnics!
Beautiful park, beach was had a bit of a problem with pebbles, but was well maintained. Our camping spot was well secluded between trees with little to any disturbance from neighbors, even on a busy Saturday. The little covariance shop was a tad understocked, but had friendly staff and 7/10 food if you dont feel like cooking lol overall a great weekend and plan on going again!
Great provincial park. Good facilities. Good beaches. Great views. Everything was clean.
Great campground. Lots of campsites, picnic areas, and green park space. Lake is very weeding if you plan on swimming though. Great for boating. The park grounds are well kept. Did pick up quite a bit of small garbage in the site. (bottle caps, pieces of string, candy wrappers). Not much for a store. Mostly just good for ice cream and ice. Excellent little boat/water toy rental hut. Very reasonably priced.
Beautiful campground with mature trees and services youd expect from a provincial campground. One of the most challenging 18 hole golf courses which also has a top notch restaurant, many playgrounds, beach, boat launch, huge lawns for whatever you want to do, showers with laundromats which are always kept clean. There are also several hiking trails. Firewood and septic dumps included in your camping fees.
