Another proper pub. Not propped up with food sales. Been 30 yrs and counting since I had my first pint in here. It relies on giving the locals a warm welcoming place to catch up, or just chill.

A proper pub, Stella the landlady is lovely, live football and cold beer with a friendly atmosphere.

I have used this pub for years. New landlady recently taken over shes just as nice as the previous owners, nice atmosphere, non regulars made welcome, beer garden to sit in which I think is having an overhaul soon, pool, darts and sky sports available, wide range of beer etc. I would recommend giving it a try.

I visited today with my partner, the pub looked fine enough but the service was awful. The lady working on the bar didn’t even say hello, was too busy chatting to what I can assume is a friend/regular. When it came to ordering drinks she just stared at us instead of asking what we’d like, took payment then put our drinks in front of us without a word. We felt very unwelcome and left after our drink.

Lovely little number. Friendly owners and have felt welcomed coming in here a few times over the last week. Definitely worth visiting for a chilled pint. Pool table and live sports available.

Never been here before, stopped off to see what it was like. Really friendly pub, made very welcome, great beer garden, great choice of drinks, husband and wife team who run it, looked after us very well.Had entertainment on a signer named Tyler what a performance he gaveSuperb evening would highly recommend anyone to try this bar .

First of all the pool table wasnt excepting pound coins , then after a couple of games the balls went missing inside the table , was also told that I wasnt allowed to smoke outside in public stood on council pavement outside the pub , ridiculous I know 🤣, drink prices , more then youd expect too pay , atmosphere was good though and lavatory clean so not all bad !

This pub would appear to have been recently modernised and as such should appeal to younger drinkers. Friendly bar staff and two ales on offer in addition to the usual lager offerings and also Camden Town Pale Ale on keg. Cant comment on the food but place was clean and tidy and you could sit at the bar, Still a rarity at the time of writing.

Amazing pub wonderful atmosphere. Good people who run it. Worth a look in.

My niece had her wedding reception there yesterday, you couldnt fault it, the people that run the pub and staff were amazing, it was decorated lovely the food was great, every one was so friendly, I had a great time. 😁

We went down to pub dinner time left about 4pm very friendly from the staff behind the bar.

Favourite pub in the area, one of the few old fashioned boozers. Absolutely fabulous landlady and landlord who are just a pleasant to be round. Have been bringing my football team here for a few years now. The Battle was once renowned as the avoid at all costs pub, but the pair have brought the good vibes back again!

Traditional home made food, pool table, great for partys, good selection of Alcohol. Friendly staff good company from the locals.

Fantastic pub landlord and landlady very friendly and the place is very clean and modern. Food fabulous. Live music most Saturdays and karaoke most Fridays. Would recommend this pub.

Probably the worst pub I have ever visited. Although it wasnt busy, it took the incredibly grumpy barmaid nearly 10 minutes to acknowledge we even existed. Ordered 2 soft drinks and a cup of tea. Soft drinks arrived promptly, cup of tea took a further 10-15 minutes. We also ordered food and went into the garden. after 45 minutes our food cam out....And was given to the group on the table next to us who proceeded to eat it.Went in and asked what was going on and was told were really busy and the people at table next to us had ordered way before us. Not true. After checking, Little Miss Happy said, "Oh yeah, that was was your meal". No Apology."Explained we had been waiting 45 minutes and our daughter had a stinking headache, to be greeted again with no apology and just a sneer.Finally got our money back and sought out a BK. Which was very nice.My honest opinion?... Wish I could give ZERO stars as this is a dreadful pub, with rude, slow and bloody useless staff.Stay away!
