Chill hideaway with a homely vibe offering craft beer, cask ales & gin, plus various board games.
What a find! Small but welcoming. Great choice of real ales and ciders. Lovely staff
Good range of drinks, pleasant atmosphere
Great little bar that had Pollys on tap...dont need to say much more! Friendly.
Great choice of beers, friendly staff and board games to borrow. A lovely cosy little bar hidden away down an alley, great way to spend an hour or two
Nice hidden little gem. Great decore lovely staff and good selection of drinks
Great hidden pub with quality craft beers
Was told to come here by another bartender in another pub. Seems to be a place to get away from tourist trap establishments. It is away from a tourist road. There seems is a great atmosphere to this place.Aimee the the owner and the bartender knows her craft beers and ciders. Small place and very quaint. Great place to sit down and enjoy a pint with friends, family, or by yourself!
Microbar with a great selection, at reasonable prices, with staff who can pour a decent 2/3? Yes, please.Everything about this place is lovely, aside from the actual decor - one star off for literally that, so if you dont care about the wall trappings youll be in heaven.Even if you do, drop in anyway - the drinks are worth it.
Wonderful selection of real ales and beers, friendly staff and cosy.
Funky little bar hidden away from the road, well worth searching for.
Very welcoming micropub. Good ambience even mid-afternoon. Helpful staff. Good selection of bottled and draft beers.
A hidden gem just off Market square down a narrow alley (Hurts yard). Small place with great relaxed atmosphere, probably due to friendly, welcoming staff. Beer selection is great - plenty of local stuff and unusual crafts, particularly some excellent stouts. Can try lots by having thirds as well as halves! Will look to call in whenever I am in town...
A place to go for people who love real ale and craft beers. The barman knew his stuff, was passionate about the product and very happy to give samples. First time I have been and I am definitely going back.
The staff were very friendly and professional , knew their product really well and served a lovely pint ,we had to stay longer than we should have just to make sure it wasnt a fluke 😂
Nice beers. Always slightly awkward seating arrangements. Never sure if you should sit or stand with a group of 6-10 people.
Some excellent and exciting new beers. Board is a little misleading as the price it set for the pint I asked for was for two-thirds of a pint, not a full pint. So it turned out to be more expensive - especially when there were four of us - than expected. So enjoy the fairly expensive ales, but double check the prices.
Parma violet prosecco. 💜 Its the nectar of the gods. Great little pub.
Need to come back more often. The beer offering was as ace.
Great little pub tucked away down a little alley, beer was great will definitely be back next time Im in Nottingham
A cosy pub with a chance to sample Magpie Brewery beers.
Great little micro brewery bar and many beers to choose from and great prices
A nice quality pub, down a narrow alley, well worth seeking out, and a great selection of quality ales
Literally the best place in Nottingham…. The staff are amazing, knowledgeable and friendly!Tom’s choice is king! .(Tom is the man….)I’ll be here, every time I come back to Nottingham!
Ace place with ace staff. Magpie beers (which are veganare always on but others as well. Only slight issue is its a bit small but I like that, there are big pubs if you want them
Superb little find. Excellent beer, a lovely place.
Good pint of IPA. Only had time for one beer otherwise I would have tried the stout.
Hidden gem large selection of real ales. Brewery tap for Magpie ales. Great beers, lovely staff, board games excellent atmosphere well done 👏 👏👍
One of my favourite pubs in Nottingham fabulous selection of real ales
A lovely little bar with an astounding selection of craft and real ales. A great atmosphere.
Lovely warm friendly bar tucked away. Excellent beers. A hidden gem!
Great little pub with a range of keg and cask beer. Really central location, but tucked away, so bit of a hidden gem.
Great place. Good drink selection, small, and hidden away. Keeps out the rif raf !!!
A lot of beer love and heart here. Decent size and homely. Stout fobbing when I visited (it happens). Docked a star only because the competition in Nottingham is so high and would have liked to see a slightly broader range of styles on offer. I am being super fussy here....The Barrel Drop is very highly recommended.
Nice little tap tucked away on a back street in the center of Nottingham, had a good range of beers and friendly staff, beers were a little expensive bur were very nice.
This pub is a sister pub of the Crafty Crow and tucked away down a little alley off the main drag. We were the only ones there when we went but I can imagine the atmosphere would be great in the evening. The craft beer menu was certainly interesting and this place is definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic little pub. Small but full of character. And great cask beers from Nottinghams Magpie Brewery plus loads of craft beers, bottles, cans and keg.
What a lovely pub. Tucked away and well hidden... went in on a busy Friday night and felt like we werent in the city centre. A great range of real ale to choose from. Lovely place!
Great little pub. Stumbled across this by chance and ended up staying for several hours enjoying a range of ales and playing board games.
A lovely little oasis of calm even on a hectic Saturday night, this pub does traditional real ales from Magpie brewery and guest ales, as well as some ciders and trendy canned craft beers. The only negatives are how early they ring the bell (closing is 2230 on Saturdayand being able to hear the music from the club opposite. You do have to go down an alley to find it so be bold and dont miss it!
Really chilled environment with a great variety of beers! Servers where one of the nicest people ever! There are options for non beer drinkers, such as wine and soft drinks. No food, only packed snacks though, but other than that its a really nice place to chill and have a beer with friends
One of the only places accepting walk ins without a queue when we went out. Staff were friendly at the door and sat us down straight away. Interesting to try different ales. Lovely decor. Dont understand why it was so quiet to be honest
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this pub. Brilliant range of drinks, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere, super decor. Very secure in terms of covid safety.
Nice prices and service was good as well! They let you buy half, ⅔ and ⅓ pints here so worth a visit if youre wanting to try multiple ales/stouts. And theyve got a pretty big selection on the menu given the circumstances.
The Barrel drop (If you can find itis a small low key bar that serves great beer. Currently owned by the Magpie Brewery, it serves an interesting range of both cask and keg beers, (and ciders toothe sort of place where you never order the beer you had last time because theres always something new to try. This is a friendly place and they have a range of board games and the like but neither of these capture the essence of barrel drop properly. Its quaint, its small and the beers great!
Hidden away in a sneaky little alley youll find a proper craft beer pub. The Barrel Drop serves exotic and exciting beer from good breweries (world widein a cosy, intimate atmosphere and with skilled personnel behind the bar - ready to explain, guide and provide tasting samples from the interesting beer selection. If you are looking for a place to enjoy good beer and have a great time with friends - The Barrel Drop will not disappoint you!
Having passed by this charming place a few times on my way to 400 Rabbits, I thought it was time I went in. All I can say is that I wish I had done so sooner: a really friendly atmosphere with a wide selection of local beer, cider and gin. Plus when it was quiet the barman asked if there was any music I wanted to hear rather than just playing their own which was a nice welcoming touch. Will go again.
Great little pub tucked out the way serving craft beers. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great place! In the centre of Nottingham with a big variety of ale and friendly staff. The service is very good and the people are ready to help you find your taste among their beer selection. A good place to have a pint and a friendly chat without the need of shouting.
Great micro pub always good beer on, friendly chatty staff good place for a cosy group of friends with bored games or quiet. a pint
Very cosy micro pub good selection of ales, craft beer and ciders. Defiantly worth a visit
