The staff were very friendly and helpful with helpful comments on the food. The food was fabulous we both really enjoyed (beef bourguignon and chicken ballontine). Nice cocktails.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff today, we had a problem with a gift card and they bent over backwards to help.The food was delicious, we had the beef bourguignon and the Moules Marinière, both were cooked to perfection. It has a lovely atmosphere and I would highly recommend the barley mow to anyone looking for a great place to eat and relax.

A nice place to have a beer. Sorry Chef l never ate.

Great pub that Ive been to on and off for years. Now a pretty swept up gastro pub in a picturesque setting. Nice dining area at the rear though a little dark now that theyve added covered outdoor seating behind it. My pork belly was excellent. My wifes vegetable and halloumi stack was a bit soggy and less tasty on our last visit. Over all though the food is good.

Our Steaks got mixed up !After finishing our meal we find out that Cash in Not acceptable.Not a good position after youve eaten.Took the cash, as we had no other form of payment.

The Barley Mow offers modern continental cuisine in an old English pub setting.Having eaten steak across 4 continents, its safe to say this one sits in my "S Tier" category.Crab and Corn bon bon? Cest bon.Apple crumble was also top notch.

Visited with a virgin experience voucher and there wasnt much choice on the set menu, but everything we had was tasty. Service was brilliant - very attentive and they really seemed to care about whether we enjoyed it. It was quite busy, obviously very popular at lunchtimes, and I would definitely go back to try some of the options on the full menu.

Very nice pub but if you want a Sunday Roast then you have to book in advance. We just turned up and couldnt eat.

Had an excellent meal here last night, having not used the restaurant for a good while I was very impressed, prompt professional service, Varied menu, well presented, nice and hot thoroughly recommend this venue now. Pub was very busy and vibrant.

The experience here was so good that we went back for dinner again two days later.The food here is delicious, totally appropriate for the price point. I had the trout which was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin but retaining the silky, flaky flesh. The burgers here have a wonderful depth of flavour and if you’re a fan of rich, creamy mash then I’d recommend that you order it as a side dish regardless of what main meal you’re having.The staff are very polite, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We wanted to make a few small substitutions to the food and the waiting staff were very helpful and accommodating in that regard too.The venue itself is a lovely pub with a gorgeous view overlooking the green to the front.Overall it’s faultless if you want a gastropub type meal in a lovely area.

We stopped for lunch after a long walk. We sat outside in the sun and watched the cricket which was lovely. The young man serving was very helpful on food and drink choices. The food (starterswere a little on the small side but extremely tasty and the side order of chips were amazing. All in all a great experience.

Not been here for a long time. I was wheeled i my chair round the side to sit in the garden. Very nicw meal and excellent service.

Fantastic service, starters & most main courses, let down by roast pork, sadly. Shame, because they’re a lovely bunch and iI’ll definitely go back again…but will skip the roast.Excellent starters (pea/bean salad, potted crab and fish soupand lush fish curry (x2). Pistachio soufflé, wine, beer and espresso also very good.The roast pork was nowhere near those standards though…lack of seasoning made for an extremely bland plate of ‘Meh’, Im afraid 😞The (tastelesscrackling was from different piece of meat because my ‘roast’ was a pork chop. Parsnips and potatoes undercooked, whilst carrots, Yorkshire pud, meat and onions were over cooked.An off-day on one dish.

Old favourite, we love the Barley Mow. The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent… pub favourites on the Menu but all a little bit special. Accommodating with babies too.

Lovely brasserie. Went for a birthday dinner. Had 4 different mains and 2 starters. Very tasty meals and wonderful service. Great big plus was the dog was allowed in the garden and was given her own 4 course doggy box.

Despite lots of choices of gastro pubs in the greater Windsor area, the Barley Mow ranks up there with the best of them. The pub itself has been around since forever but the addition of the new kitchen area at the back has raised the bar food wise. We popped in over the winter for a hearty roast, a big fat juicy burger and fries and some mussels. All hit the spot, as well as the taste buds, with the mussels in particular being juicy and tender. The price is a little high, but fair due to the quality of the food and the atmosphere cosy, while the service was attentive and polite. A good shout for a fancy gastro treat if you’re in the mood.

Roast dinner very average, had to ask multiple times for extra potatoes and gravy which took forever to come. But the desserts were 10/10 and the venue is really nice.

Beautiful cosy nicely decorated, freindly welcoming, our waitress did serve our table very well. The food & drink was so delicious and well presented. I would recommend it to you readers.

We were a big party of 15, so no small task for the staff. Initially due to sit inside in the back room, honestly felt dark with the marquee on the back. So moved to the outside under the marquee, much brighter space with heaters as well.Friendly team, good food and speedy service. Really accommodating to work around the kids.

We all agreed this was the best pub lunch we have had for a very long time, and we have been to quite a few! Every meal was outstanding, from the Cheese Soufflé, to the Moules Mariniere, to the grilled Salmon and finally to the Pistachio Soufflé! Service was excellent and friendly! We will return!

A pleasant Bar/restaurant with seating to the back and the front. Definitely a place to be on a nice summers day looking out onto Englefield Green. Food seems rather nice but as a vegan, not really that much on offer but apparently that will improve over time. Friendly staff and handled the Tuesday afternoon rush with no stress.

Food and service was great. We turned up 5 mins early and were seated straight away. The experience was great until…. Just before an hour into eating we were advised we would have to vacate the table on the hour - basically the table I booked was limited to one hour. Why we weren’t informed at the time of booking I don’t quite get. Never heard of this one hour rule. I would have booked elsewhere had I known.

Parking was a nightmare. Food was cooked nicely, flavours were good just wasnt enough of it, portions are a bit small. Service was very good, staff were very good. Good for families, lot of children. Gets busy at weekends. Nice location but tricky parking.

Excellent customer service. Food and presentation of the food was amazing! But turn up the heating in the dining area please. It was too chklly for me. Cocktails were incredible!

This is my third visit to this excellent pub/restaurant. They serve the best Sunday roast beef I’ve ever had in a “pub”. The service has also been fantastic on each occasion - professional but relaxed with plenty of waiting staff. Food and drinks arrived promptly. This is how things should be done but rarely are.

An excellent meal for my husband and I, and our dog was happy too! Its really great that we can all go out for a meal together enjoying great food and a buzzing atmosphere.

An unexpected visit for a delightful lunch. A lovely place situated just perfectly by the green. The menu made choosing a dish hard as it was all tempting. The final decision was nicely presented and tasted delicious. Great staff, friendly and comfortable environment, now sampling more of the menu is on the agenda.

Well decorated pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Food was decent and they have a good variety of interesting dishes. Id recommend the mezze platter and pie.

Was a fave for good food back when I was at uni, and ten years on its still great. Roast I had was on point, lovely cosy feel when the fire gets going, nice garden in the summer, and friendly helpful staff. 👌

Cheese soufflé is to die for. Can get crazy busy on a Sunday and slows things down, but a really high quality restaurant and a lovely old pub. Get there early!

Amazing place! We ate here on our first night in London. Wow! What a find! Great food and service! Clive was our server. He was so amazing that we went back again a few nights later so we could see him before leaving the area. Thank you Clive for laughing and chatting with 3 Americans, giving amazing food and drink recommendations, and showing us an amazing time! Ladies and gentlemen, I have 2 words for you - pistachio souffle!

Cool English bar with backyard for kids to have fun. Food was food in average but the Yorkshire Pudding can be better. Service was good too!

Lovely pub by the green. Fairly recently, a large bright extension was added, where the restaurant section is housed... which hasnt affected the cosy feel of the pub area. Service in the restaurant is very warm and friendly. The food quality is really good, hovering on the mid- to high-end of the gastro-pub price spectrum. Generally feels like good value. However, some dishes do feel very overpriced. £6.75 for a starter of two small samosas , stands out as particularly poor value (see pic)

Absolutely fantastic place. Had a wonderful meal and experience. Very close to Heathrow, so if you are looking for a great spot for dinner, tap Uber and go there. You will thank me later.

Local pub part of Raymond Blanc’s group so expect some French cuisine on the menu! Very nice setup with lovely and quiet back garden (kid’s friendly!), front terrace also available for a quick pint; lovely staff and very decent pub food
