A quiet place: nice, clean, and tidy. I stayed there 3 days. I slept like a baby. The onsite personnel was very attentive and responsive. Although it is not a five star facility, I will give it 5 star for the experience: it seems to be a family business, but it offers a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, that you may find at high end facilites.

We were given a double room when we asked for a triple during a full house, there were conspicuous gummy fluid stains on the top of the sheet, the replacement sheet didn’t fit, and the second replacement sheet smelled of BO. This was our second stay here. Our first stay was acceptable but the AC had no adjustments— either on or off— and the beds and pillows were not great. The hotel is poorly marked and difficult to find from the outside. The pool is not chlorinated. There are no bird feeders as mentioned in other reviews. The breakfast is poor and the staff will not call a taxi for guests.

The room was good. The shower had warm water. The garden was really nice and had a pool.

Great accomodation for the price with lovely communal pool and area to relax. Rooms basic but functional.

Mooie appartementen voor redelijke prijzen. Mooie airco gekoelde kamers met uitzicht op het zwembad en palmen. Keurig opgemaakte bedden, koelkast, oven, bureau en stoelen. Grote TV aan de wand.Zwembad wordt dagelijks schoongemaakt.Een aanrader.

I choose the location because its outside the city and close to the Albrook transportation hub. Green with a nice garden. Friendly staff. Breakfast is not included even though its listed as a B&B

Agradable hotel cerca del aeropuerto de Albrock, habitaciones amplias, piscina al aire libre, limpio y cuidado con servicio de restauración la única pega es que está en una zona residencial sin nada en los alrededores para ir andando, con coche muy cerca del mall de Albrock.

Gut klimatisierte Zimmer die sehr sauber waren, schöner Innenhof mit Pool und netten Sitzgelegenheiten! Personal super höflich die einem gerne bei allem helfen! Ein Stern Abzug für ein sehr teures nicht zu empfehlendes amerikanisches Frühstück! Man kann natürlich auch auswärts Frühstücken

Muy mala experiencia, después de estar dos noches allí, reservamos y pagamos la última noche antes de coger el vuelo, con diez días de antelación. Al llegar a las 17h el Sr. Óscar nos dicen que no podemos quedarnos porque han tenido problemas en la habitación.. ( según ellos, el aire acondicionado no funciona bien). Le comentamos que nos da igual que el aire no funcione, pero aun así, se niega a darnos la habitación poniendo diferentes excusas..Nos explicaque lo sabían des de la mañana, pero no nos avisan hasta llegar allí a pesar de haber estado chateando por whatsaap esa misma mañana... Nos ofrecen acercarnos a otro hostal por el mismo precio y antes de poderlo ver el Sr. Óscar desaparece sin decir ni adiós... hostal por cierto de peor calidad.Leyendo los comentarios vemos que es algo que ha pasado en más de una ocasión...

Lo mejorPues que es muy funcional, es perfecto para ir al aeropuerto de albrook ya que está a 2 minutos en Uber.Además cuenta con una piscina lo cual es un puntazo para el calor de esta ciudad.Si me quedase en la ciudad por otro motivo creo que hay mejores opciones.Lo peorEl colchón era bastante malo aunque de puede dormir sin problemas después de 11 horas de vuelo.El personal parece un poco desinteresado, teníamos el desayuno reservado y no lo sabían, y posteriormente a pesar de que nos teníamos que ir muy temprano para coger otro vuelo y se suponía que empezaba a las 7, nadie llegó hasta las 7:30am, menos mal que íbamos con antelación de sobra.

Great food for our household. Would be nice. If they stocked beyond burger for vegans though, as fritas and salad is getting boring. We would visit weekly if this was the case but now drive to another suburb for a vegan friendly option. One positive is that Friday night IS DJ night, so a nice mix of local, international and as far back as 80s music. All round entertainment 👌

Llegamos al hotel por la noche tras un vuelo de 10 horas. A pesar de tener una reserva realizada desde hacía varias semanas, nos comunican al entrar que no tienen sitio para nosotros. Al parecer hasta la reserva está registrada en el sistema pero no hay ninguna habitación disponible.Tras repetirnos varias veces que no tienen sitio y llamar a otro hostal, nos quedamos 15 minutos solos esperando y buscando una solución por nuestra cuenta ya que ellos decían que no sabían que hacer.Nos dan muy amablemente una botella de agua y aceptan llevarnos al nuevo hotel que habíamos encontrado nosotros, a pesar de ver y escuchar como parte del personal decía que ni siquiera tendrían que acercarnos al otro hotel.En definitiva, mejor escoger otra opción desde el principio y no quedarte en la calle en mitad de la noche.

Clean, safe and quiet. Not many restaurants in the area.

Good price for the value. Nice place to bring your pet. Nice patio with pool and green area. Staff is friendly and the hostel is 7min drive from the big albrook mall. Other fast food and pizza place at 5min drive. Walkable. The hostel is very quiet and clean. I would definitely book again to travel with family and pet.

Very nice but no restaurant off the premises that was easy to walk to.

El personal es muy amable! El hotel es suficiente si solamente quieres pasar una noche tranquila y disfrutar de la alberca. No hay mucho en las inmediaciones per llegar al casco antiguo es bastante sencillo

This is a very lovely and quit place very near to the Ancon Hill. The Garden, Stuff, breakfast are very good. The Rooms clean. We love it.

Fantastic little place to stay. The owner is friendly and helpful. For the price it is well worth it. Felt safe and its a nice quiet area close to most of the attractions and the mall. Very clean and tidy. Will be back when we visit the city again. Highly recommend it. Just be aware its not a 4 or 5 star hotel so be realistic in your expectations. Thats not to say theres anything wrong with it. For the price its a bargain.

La verdad, es un sitio bastante acogedor, sus dueños son muy buenas personas y están disponibles siempre, te hacen sentir como en casa, todo bien , lo único sería que en algunas habitaciones al menos cuando yo viaje no llega muy bien el internet, pero lo están arreglando además en la sala coge a la perfección y es un buen lugar para relajarse. Señores me acaban de dejar en la calle en este hotel. Por daños internos en las tuberias dejan sin usar casualmente la habitacion que reserve para las 2pm y me acaban de dejar en la calle sin saber pa onde agarrar. Supuestamente no hay habitaciones pero puedo casi asegurar que se manifiesta la preferencia para los turistas. Que horror primera vez que me pasa esto. Me han dejado sin reservs y en la calle. 😟😟😟😟😟😟😟

I had a great stay here. It was easy to get an Uber. I loved the jungle vibe and morning birds. There is a binder at the front desk with ideas of things to do in the area. Breakfast is made to order. The room was lovely and clean. The shower was great and plenty of hot water. As a single female traveler— I really felt safe and I would stay again.

Super buen lugar! Extremely comfy and very clean. The room is huge! Superb bathroom situation, pet friendly to the max, helpful and attentive staff, couldnt wish for a better stay in this home style Inn. The location is also perfect because its in a quiet little area and you dont hear the city at all when you are trying to sleep!

This place is so cute and in a beautiful neighborhood. The room was perfect for what I needed and a $5 breakfast made it great for the price point.

Clean, beautiful inn. Delicious breakfast, attentive staff, nice rooms with AC, comfortable beds, well kept bathrooms. Nice relaxing area divided for smokers and non-smokers. They also have a beautiful dog!!

I certainly would recommend this place.. Nice and quiet ok little b&b in a green area outside busy panama city. But close to casco viejo. Take UBER to drive to the different places around you... Cheap!Staff is very friendly and for the breakfast you pay an extra 5dollars.. But it is worth it!

This was a wonderful place to stay, Rosie and Simon made us feel right at home during our entire stay. We all enjoyed the stay, and hope to return sooner rather then later. I am not sure that I have ever stayed at some place that was some warm and welcoming as the Balboa Inn, thank you for the wonderful experience.

A thoroughly enjoyable and accommodating time spent at the Balboa Inn in Panama. The hosts, Mieke and Bill, made sure we (a group of eightwanted for nothing. We filled up on a tasty, filling, and Panamanian breakfast each morning which started our day off right. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the shower refreshing. The staff is very pleasant and cheerful and helps in whatever your need may be. We kept unusual hours and Mieke and Bill were very helpful to us by giving directions and letting us in on the best way to traverse Panama City. They also let us in on good restaurants within walking distance. We even shopped at the local craft store located in the dining area - a better deal than on the street. Dont hesitate to make your arrangements at the Balboa Inn.....well be back!!

Bill and Mieke and the girls who help them out are just wonderful! They are close to the city and mall stuff that some people tend to enjoy but yet you feel like you have your own piece of the jungle in their backyard! They could not be more accommodating - whether its a scenic trip your looking for, or a great driver, an incredible restaurant to go to for lunch or dinner or just to talk about life and the pursuit of happiness whilst looking at all the beautiful birds they have around them that they feed every morning. (Which is an incredible breakfast, btw - you would not want for anything - they have it all Plus, they put up with our java junkie habit and make more coffee. They feel like famiily - it is like a home when you are there (if you want it to beor if you are private they are not in your business. Wonderful place to stay and they arrange tours, shuttles to and from airport. They even took care of our dog one night while we went for a sumptuous meal down the street at the "Bon Profit"While you are there - make sure to take in the array of indigenous products that they have displayed....beautiful jewelry, bags, plates and all kinds of things for you or someone you might want to take a souvenir home to.I cant say enough about this place!
