The Bake Two in Middlesbrough

The bearded guy in charge is arrogant (you will notice that), does not know how to treat customers. And favors to service deliveries before take out customers.

Our order took 2.5 hours and still wasn’t delivered, the guy on the phone was extremely rude when I complained and hung up on me twice.This restaurant has no respect for customers. I will not be ordering from them anymore and I will make sure no one I know goes through this experience again.And the food is not even worth it.

Bad customer service. I asked if he could put green chillies on to which he replied no because that would change the the dish!

Cheap and very tasty Lebanese food. Excellent shawarma wraps!

Delicious meal. Had dinner with colleagues. Hummus & bread starter and mixed grill mains with fresh mango juice. Authentic middle eastern environment! All food was halal. Restaurant accepted both cash and card.

Terrible service from a racist business. Rang up after an order never showed, only to be subjected to an accusatory, profane, nationalist, racist tirade from what appeared to be the owner.

Ordered takeaway from here absolutely superb. Lamb kebab and chicken was beautiful. Lebanese bread and sauces were beautiful.

Food arrived over an hour later than was estimated. Food was Luke warm, chicken shawarma was very bland. Parmo was small and very average. Salad was nice. I won’t order again it’s not worth waiting. I called restaurant twice in space of an hour and there was no apologies for delay just short:” driver will be with you in 2 mins” it wasn’t for another 40 mins.

Order was late, when rung up and asked politely if there was any problem with the order or delivery, was cut off abruptly and said driver on the way. Still took ages to come.For 2 times in a row sent the wrong order. Ordered boneless chicken provisal and got sent a normal roast chicken with bits of garlic butter slapped onto it. Not impressed at all.There was also one time when I phoned up chasing an order thats not arrived after an hour and a half, the guy, whom I assumed was the owner, confronted me and told me that he has tonnes of orders and asked me what Im going to do about it.I mean, Im glad that you are popular and has lots of orders. Therefore you should be appreciative of the supports from your customers and be patient and apologise if youre not able to fulfill order on time, and not shout down the phone trying to be aggressive and make it as though ordering food from you was such a hassle to you.Perhaps you would enjoy the peace and quiet if nobody wants to order food from you? Because it appears to me you cannot cope with the pressure that your business is bring you.

Absolutely gobsmacked at the rudeness of a member of staff who became completely hostile and condescending when I rang up after receiving the food and started eating it, to realise it contained an allergen I had rang and asked if the food contained beforehand and was assured it didn’t. Not only were they completely unwilling to admit their mistake with a disregard for allergens and dietary preferences but the attitude on top of that was astounding.I did receive a replacement shortly after? and actually hesitated to open the door in case it was the same guy who I spoke with come to have it out.The delivery guy was lovely and said maybe it was management who sent it as some kind of resolution and they didn’t know who it was I had spoken with.Yeah, not great.

Very tasty food.I tried almost all the menu.shawarma biryani falafel houmous... everything was delicious.!!!

Mediocre food.Staff dont know the menu. The head chef had to get involved every time we had a question. Waiting staff didnt know when to give plates or cutlery.Toilet facilities were poorly looked after.

Amazing meal with a lovely cuppa of tea to wash it down.

Two orders so far and both of them great. Would recommend it as one of the better places in Middlesbrough for sure

Usually the food is nice. Not today they overcharged us it was supposed to be £14 for 2 half chickens but they charged £16.30 to my card. The chicken was poor quality loads of grey and black parts. Disgusting. They also forgot the sauce.

Disgraceful attitude of staff member. Have no courtesy or card for their customer! Had been waiting for over an hour and half for my order to be delivered. Rang twice only to be asked if I want to cancel my order! Absolutely disgusting attitude! Never order from here!!!!

Are they even halal? I rang to ask if there chicken is hmc or not, I got asked what does hmc mean, so I asked him if you dont know can you tell me the name of where you buy your chicken from so I can find out if its halal or not, an the guy Rudely answered I only sell halal and close the phone on me. Sir its my duty to know what Im going to eat, I dont consider stunned chicken as halal because the blood doesnt fully get drained from the chicken in a halal manner. Please educate yourself to know what sort of meat you sell.

Had the £17.50 box meal and one of the veg platter things that are £12 per head. Absolutely gorgeous cooked to perfection. The chicken wings were lovely even the veg stuff was nice and I dont usually go for vegetarian stuff 🤣. Got 10% off our 1st online order. Had to download the app to order online which although was semi annoying. It was well worth it will be going again. May even book a table as the restaurant itself looks lovely

Not the best for a takeaway, assume its the same if eating in... Ordered some Chicken Shwarma Wraps and a Mix Grill, wraps were fine (tasted like most other places in the vicinitybut the Mix Grill wasnt as good as expected, meats were dry like they were precooked and heated when I ordered, the sides of bread and rice were tasteless infact the bread was not even baked inhouse, a name like The Bake... yet the bread is supermarket bought. The salad was just onions and parsley, smelt a bit off and was also dry looking like itd been cut and sat their the whole day. We only ate the Shwarmas, tasted the mix grill and was put off. It was a Friday night and the place was dead yet the service and food wasnt on point... Food was ready and just needed bagging yet the guy doing it was taking forever as he was talking to guy who walked into the shop! "Just pack my food and give me it, then talk to him all night if you want". Totally lacking customer service in this place, the girl on the till was fine but she was new and didnt really know the menu either. I definitely wont be going there again, plenty of other places that provide good food and better customer service.

Went here and ordered a king mix grill and realised afterwards some of the stuff that was suppose to be on there is missing compared to the menu. The waitress was appaling very slow serving food with long nails which is unhygenic. Charged extra for table service when i had to keep getting up asking for things. Feel ripped off as not got what is advertised. Prices are high and to top it off they dont take card only which is a inconvenience. Considering they take card when you order online. Any left over food i asked for it to be packed they put it on a plastic plate and covered it with a plastic bag so the food goes everywhere when in a vehicle. Standard has fallen considerably apart from the dodgy service and staff food was not too bad.

Ordered from here twice. Delivery was good. The food is delicious. Ordered a Super King The Bake Mixed Grill, with some hot mezze dishes and a couple of sides. This was for 4 adults and it was more than enough food. Will definitely order from here again.

Food wasn’t the greatest as I’ve had much better! They’ve charged us £7 for a Middle Eastern style yoghurt drink which is made of few spoons of yoghurt and TAP WATER, salt and dry mint (they didn’t even put mint and salt)!!Basically the most expensive and bland yoghurt drink I have ever had. So this showed me dishonesty of their attitude! Plus I had to go all the way to the cash machine to get cash as they don’t accept card so I can’t trust them with other things and stuff either!!

Tried this place for the first time, and it did not disappoint. The parmo was one of the best Ive had in the North East, and the chicken shawarma was the most authentic one Id tried in the UK! Friendly service, and high quality food. I will definitely be going back.

Oh I love this place. Favourite Lebanese in the area. We tend to go mixed grill and add the hummus. Absolutely beautiful food, fresh, hot, well cooked and the hummus is probably the best Ive had. Easily enough for 2. The restaurant is spot on, clean and smart but Im usually either collecting or using their app for delivery. The app is great too. Keep it up guys 👌

Reasonably priced Lebanese Grills/BBQ place in Teesside area ...Their King bake mixed grills and Baby Chicken Grills are our favorites ... Even though their service is quite poor ( & somehow they charged you for extra 10% service charges )but the quality and quantity of the food is really good!

Just ate from here 1.12.2019 and it was amazing... Lovely service... Lovely food... Staff are really friendly and brought the food out on time... It as though they were continously aware of our table and when we finished starters they cleared the table and brought the mains... The sambosa is amazing... The hummus is too... The fresh bread is light a fluffy and not heavy like other places...Thank you for an amazing experienceHasan

Each of the Lebanese platters were well presented (looks as good as on the menuand tasted great. The ingredients are fresh, particularly their lovely selection of salads and the prices are very reasonable. No liquor licence was fine with me, because their fresh mango juice exceeded my expectation.Open till 12pm, we arrived at 10pm Saturday to find it quiet. The staff are pleasant as you hear them cooking in the background. First time for me though my friend who took me, also uses the takeaway option and has tried most if the dishes and has always be satisfied. Its clean and tidy and if you like it authentic (rather than prim and properthis a dining experience for you.

Awesome! I have been to the one in Gosforth multiple times and love it. The bake 2 is no different, Excellent food, nice staff and BYO whats not to love! We had 4 starters and a salad along with the super king mixed grill and it was plenty for 4 of us. Best part of all the bill was only £51! We will definitely go back again.

Another cuisine I have never tried before, making the most of the advice and recommendations of a friend we tried the Bake Two. Absolutely delicious - I tried foods I would normally disregard because they have no meat but Wow! Quite literally everything I tried was a taste sensation, the portions were very generous (always a big bonus to me), and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Prices are so low... Yet the quality of food is excellent. Take your own wine saves a few quid, but if you forget it there are plenty of shops nearby. Great place, definitely worth a look 👍😁😁

Food was exceptional. Been a long time since I have been somewhere where the food just stood out. We had the lamb wrap and king mixed platter. Waitress was attentive and nice. Will definitely visit again.
