Commemorating Mexico's independence, this famous monument is topped with the goddess of victory.
MUY famoso . And some of my wedding fotos where taken there with ,what I thought was the love of my life. How can you not go that landmark as a tourist, or husband of a mexicana! Its a must see. Also when alone
Great place to visit with family
So majestic and empowering! Viva Mexico!
A magical Alegrías parade was happening. Breath taking experience!
Great looking monument which you can view from the Metrobus going towards Chapultepec park. The ambience during the Day of the Dead parade was amazing!
Its so beautiful , during the day and night
The most important monument. It has been influenced by the statue in France. We were in the city close to dia de muertos so there were plenty of decorations in the Avenue Reforma for the parade and celebrations.
Its amazing to look at its breath taking a must go place in Mexico City
Tall obelisk atop of which is the Angel of Independence. We were there during the quieter part of the day and season. Seems to be a popular place to hang out. Sadly right now there is some construction happening around the site.
Mexico city down town the happening place wonderful to see a tribute to Mexicos victory over Spain in its War of Independence really express the feeling of Mexican people in general, beautifully made sculpture really worth a visit.
Nice monument. Pity to see all the barriers around it because if the protest.
Clean and accessible place to take good pics
It was a beautiful place to take pictures, lots of people and be careful of your belongings when you are preoccupied taking pictures and admiring the angle as there is a lot of sus people around for sure. There is someone who comes and asks IF you speak Spanish (in EnglishI just ignored.Watch crossing the road getting to the angel
A beautiful monument dedicated to the Mexican independence… it is located on the reforma boulevard, which is a magnificent place full of restaurants an gorgeous buildings
It seems to be the center of the Aztec capital! Surrounded by the financial District of Mexico City.
Historic place to visit this is one of manny wonders in mexico city you must visit at least once in a life time
It is a nice place to take the typical touristy photos and there are nice cafés nearby. However, the angel is located at the very centre of a roundabout and there is no crossing dedicated for pedestrians, thus special care must be taken when trying to get there.
Beautiful landmark with nice surroundings
Magic. ✨There is a special type of energy at this monument. Great time to visit when the sun is over head. Will come back again.
Nice square for photo and across from Shake shack and ice cream place. There Sheraton María Isabel Hotel so you can go inside there to use a restroom and restaurants nearby.
Great monument, don’t wait on signal to cross the road. Just start walking when it’s empty
Great statue and walking area in Juarez. Check it out if you’re in the area
Such a beautiful atmosphere nd nice place. Its worth to visit during evening so people can enjoy day as well as night with lighting on angel ☺️ like it
Beautiful and breathtaking. Doesnt take long to visit. We stopped on our way to the airport and took a few pics, touched the monument, and enjoyed the environment.
Independence Angel well known as a Mexican symbol where as part of our Mexican tradition people go there to celebrate after a soccer match. Did you know that about locals celebration? If you feel Mexican hearted you can join them there.
Public space that is great for a taste of history and a little break in the day. Grab your cup of coffee and sit here in the middleOf this roundabout and enjoy the beautiful views in all directions from this national monument
Awesome tourist attraction surrounded by parks, hotels, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, etc. Good place to spend time with friends, walk around, or people watch. It’s a stunning and beautiful statue. If you want the statue to yourself you have to get their early to avoid so many cars in traffic and people sitting around near the statue.
A must see. Find parking so you can take some cool pictures.
One of the things I loved about Mexico City was the massive and extravagant decor placed in roundabouts. This one being probably the most famous one.
The area around here is really what you want to see! The angel was really cool to see and glad I got the photos. Some of the tour buses pickup right here and make sure you can run across traffic to see it :)
Go a nighttime. Its even more spectacular!
Beautiful place to go and visit with family and friends, and a great place to take some good pictures. It has been restored so it looks much better now.
All the way from Dallas, TX! This is a pretty busy area with cars but you can make your way over no problem! Once you get on the stairs (base of the Angelit is a nice place to people watch and take photos! Maybe even read a book? It’s a very beautiful spot! With lots of different people and opportunities to enjoy yourself.
It looks totally different between day and night. If you go there on Saturday night, you can take pictures on the road!!!
An iconic landmark to see and experience. It is beautiful and cant be missed day or night time. You can walk to it, cross the street and take pictures from the middle.
Beautiful location. Very large in size & able to take pics from up close.
Busy intersection. Wouldn’t recommend crossing over cause if all the traffic and good pictures are from outside intersection. Very clean and safe area
On Sundays they close the main street from 8:00 a:m to 2:30 for people either run, jog, bicycle or ect.., They even have dance excerise class on the street. Pretty cool seeing everyone enjoying themselves during this time
This is a beautiful monument. This is a must-visit. A lot of tourists and locals come here to take plenty of pictures. This is a great place for the entire family 👪 to visit. There is a lot of history here to educate the children on.
Iconic landmark in Mexico City that you cannot missed. There are shops nearby neighborhood and I would suggest you to take a stroll along Av Reforma and explore the streets.
Iconic monument on beautiful Reforma Avenue. Nice night lighting.
Filled with activities on Sunday morning. Some of the roads nearby are restricted to pedestrians and bicycles making it a great place to stroll and people-watch
Magnificent monument during my visit to Mexico a friend of mine took me there for a pic, its a must visit place
It is beautiful to see and there is enough other things within walking distance that its worth the trip. If you want to get close you will have to run across the road but if you wait for a local and follow their lead it isnt so hard.
Very beautiful at night. Cameras dont do its beauty justice. Careful crossing the street.
One of the best emblematic monuments in CDMX located in Paseo de la Reforma. Place is clean and there is always a police officer nearby. A must when visiting CDMX.
So there is not a safe way to get to the statue. So what I did was when the light was in red I ran across inbetween the stopped cars, PLEASE watch out for motor bikes, bikes, motorcycle.I would say that you may want to stay safe and see it from the outermost circle aka side walk. But it is a beautiful site close up.
Very nice place to take some pictures, I recommend to go night and day time. Best pictures can be take on the opposite side of reforma ave. ( Towards Chapultepec). We preferred on the night time. Very safe at anytime.
Also known as el Ángel, this iconic monument was built in 1910 to commemorate the 100th year of the beginning of Mexico’s struggle for independence from Spain. In 1925, the bottom part was converted to a mausoleum for the important heroes of that war. During the widespread demonstrations over violence against women in 2019, it was defaced with graffiti, so authorities surrounded it with protective metal plates while cleaning it up and adding more retrofits for future earthquakes. Only a couple of weeks ago were the plates removed. I was fortunate enough to be staying in a hotel room that had a view.
Visited here on a Sunday so was able to take a leisurely stroll along the Paseo Reforma road. Found some yoga classes too happening near the statue. If you are free on a Sunday morning, this is a good place to start the day with a walk or a jog around this statue.
